Chapter FIFTEEN
Discovering Ginny Weasley
…
Sirius had taken the news of the Chamber being opened, and the attack directly to the board of Education, immediately after he disconnected from the Mirrors. Thankfully, after working with the Black family a few times over the last couple years, the group of respected witches and wizards have come to trust their word on the goings on in the school -at least enough to do an investigation- and had taken it seriously, making plans to send someone to the school to enquire about it in person.
Harrison was relieved that it was going to be dealt with and couldn't be hushed up. Sadly, however before they had gotten far into their investigation anther attack had happened; this time two students had been at the receiving end and were currently lying in the hospital wing petrified.
As the weeks went by and it was nearing the middle of December and thus almost Yule Break, Harrison and his friends watched as more and more people come and went from the school, doing their very best to find the location of the Chamber and put a stop to the beast within.

In between his classes and studying Harrison had been keeping an ear out for more hissing and slithering, hoping to be able to get a pattern of where and when they appeared. Maybe that would help find the Chambers entrance.
Thus, one day after remembering reading about the chamber being opened over 50 years prior -resulting in the death of a student- Harrison began asking the ghosts if they knew what had occurred all those years ago. He got lucky when speaking to the ghost of Ravenclaw -The Grey Lady- who informed him about the 12-year-old girl who died inside the girl's bathroom on the second floor and still haunts it to this very day.
So that following weekend when he had a free moment Harrison made his way to the second-floor intent on talking to the ghost that haunted there.
"Hello?" he called from the entrance, "Anyone in there?"
"What do you want? Boys aren't supposed to be here." A raspy voice of a young girl called back before appearing in front of him; a weary look set on her ghostly face.
"I'm sorry for bothering you. I'm Harrison." He introduced himself. "I was wondering if you could tell me how you died?"
For a moment, the young ghost just stared at him, before suddenly lighting up.
"No one has asked me that in ages, it's such a tragic tale" She exclaimed dramatically. "The tale of Poor Myrtle."
She suddenly beckoned him to come through the door, before floating towards the Ceiling and laying down as if she were laying on her stomach arms crossed and chin resting upon them.
"I was hiding in this very bathroom, because once again I was being bullied by Olive Hornby, crying in the toilet over there by the back wall, when I heard someone come in. When they spoke, I could tell it was a boy, so I was coming out to tell them to "go away", but when I looked up all I saw were these big glowing yellow eyes, and suddenly I was floating, and my body was lying on the ground below me. It was such a tragic moment." She told him sighing at the end, as if it were just a make-believe story, and not that of her life.
Harrison suspected she thought it was all a great tale after so many years.
"Since that day, it's been so lonely, no one really uses this lavatory anymore, leaving poor Myrtle all alone, to entertain herself. No one except that little Red-headed first year."
Myrtle was mumbling to herself now, no longer talking to Harrison, but he caught her words anyone. Sitting up straighter when he heard the last part.
"Who is it that has been coming in here Myrtle?" Harrison asked immediately. His instincts telling him that it was important he ask.
"That little Gryffindor first year. The youngest of all those Red-heads."
"Ginny Weasley…" Harrison breathed. He remembered seeing her around the castle. She wouldn't meet his eyes, always blushing when she saw him walking towards her direction, ducking her head as he passed by her. He noticed she seemed to become more and more withdrawn over the last few months but hadn't thought anything of it. But now, his instincts were telling him she was somehow connected to what was going on. He just didn't know how yet.
"Thank you, Myrtle, if she comes back here again, can you watch her? See what she's up to without her knowing?"
"I can do that, but only if you come and visit me again?"
"Deal and thank you!" Harrison told her immediately before leaving the girls bathroom and making his way to the great hall in time for lunch.

It took Harrison another week before anything came up. He was walking the halls, on his way to dinner one Friday night after his last class before the weekend, when Myrtle suddenly floated up from the floor in front of him.
"Hello Harrison, there is something that you might want to see." She told him mysteriously.
Nodding once and telling her he would meet her there, Harrison made his way quickly to the second floor, and into Myrtle bathroom, eyebrow going up at the water that covered the floor.
"That little red-head was back, muttering to herself about losing days, and not feeling well. She then proceeded to try and flush a black book down my toilet. Its over there under that sink. It's what I thought you might like to see. It gives off a very dark aura."
Carefully Harrison approached the small black book on the floor, taking his scarf out of his bag and using it to pick it up, turning it over and over to get a good look.
On the back he notices an inscription "The diary of T.M.R" was etched into the leather at the bottom of the back cover.
Harrison ran his finger along the words – though making sure to keep his finger a few centimeters above them, not willing to touch the book with his bare hands- and gasped as he could feel, a specific kind of darkness radiating off of it.
Standing up he wrapped the book completely inside his scarf before placing them inside his bag. "Thank you, Myrtle, I'm going to get this to my dad and out of the school. It should never have been here in the first place." He told her before leaving the room and heading directly to his dormitory.

Harrison grabbed the two way mirror out of his bag as soon as he was sitting at his desk in his dorm, calling out his father's name immediately.
"Pup, this is a surprise, I wasn't expecting to talk to you until tomorrow, is everything alright?" Sirius asked his son immediately.
"I need you to come to the school as soon as possible, and maybe contact the Goblins and Madam Bones after. I've found something, but I'm not sure exactly what, so I want you to check it first."
"Alright, can you tell me anything now?"
Pulling out the scarf wrapped Diary from his bag, Harrison carefully laid in on top of his desk and pulled the fabric away revealing the Diary to his father. "About a week ago, I got some information about the girl that died here 50 years ago from one of the ghosts and went to talk to her. It was Moaning Myrtle in the second-floor girls' bathroom. After she told me how she died, she mentioned seeing a red-haired first year Gryffindor coming and going at random times to that washroom, muttering to herself, and seemed to be a little out of it.
The thing is No one uses that bathroom because of Myrtle. After she told me that, I remember noticing her over the last few months. She wouldn't look me in the eye and seemed to become more withdrawn as the weeks went on. I thought she was just shy, so didn't think anything of it. I told Myrtle if she came back to keep an eye on her and let me know if there was anything new-I didn't want to say anything without proof.
Today she came and got me as I was heading to the great hall for dinner, she said that Ms. Weasley had been back, and was muttering about losing time, and tried to flush this book down the toilet. When I got near it, I could feel darkness coming from it. I'm hoping you might be able to tell more, so we can get it to the right people, and maybe see about looking into Miss Weasley."
"I'll be there right away; I'm also going to contact Gringotts and see if they can have someone meet me there. If you are right, best to get this dealt with immediately, meet me in the entrance hall in fifteen minutes alright?"
"See you soon," Harrison told him relieved before he ended the call and wrapped the scarf around the diary once more, before putting it back inside his bag.
Deciding it was probably best not to sneak around while inside the school, Harrison made his way to the great hall first before heading to meet his father.
Seeing Professor Flitwick still sat up at the head table, he made his way towards him, stopping a few feet away. "Excuse me Professor Flitwick, may I speak to you please? It's important and can't wait."
Flitwick raise an eyebrow but stood up and guided his student back out through the double doors and to an empty office not far from the great hall.
"What can I do for you Harrison?" the professor asked patiently.
"My Father will be arriving at the school in a few minutes, with a representative of Gringotts. I came across this diary, just today, and can feel darkness radiating from it, so I contacted my Father immediately. I figured I should tell you as well, so you can be there if you wish. I didn't want to do anything in the school without notifying the staff, but I don't trust the Headmaster not to cover anything up." Harrison told him bluntly yet made sure to still be respectful. Flitwick was one if his favorite Professors after all.
Flitwick sat there quietly shocked, at the revelation, and looking at the diary in question that his student had just revealed. While he wanted to reprimand Harrison for his distrust of the Headmaster, he couldn't truly blame him for it, as he and Lord Black have had bad dealings with the man in the past.
"Lead the way then Mr. Potter-Black." The short professor stated, as he stood from his chair and headed towards the door.

Sirius was already waiting for them when they arrived, standing beside two Goblins, with the Gringotts symbol stitched into their black and gold armor along with another crest stating them to be specialists.
Standing a bit straighter, Sirius nodded once and greeted his old professor, not surprised to see the man there with his son. "Hello Professor, it's been a while."
"Lord Black, how wonderful to see you are doing well." The man squeaked joyfully.
Harrison went directly to his father and hugged the man hard. He had missed him greatly over the past three and a half months. "Hey pup," his dad whispered into his ear as he was hugged back.
"Alright, let's get to it then, can I see the diary kiddo?" Sirius said as they pulled apart.
Taking the scarf from his son, Sirius followed his old professor into an abandoned classroom and set the bundle onto an old desk, before unwrapping it and sucking it quit breath of recognition. He could feel the same kind of aura coming off the diary, that he had the locket. Taking a deep breath, he turned to the Goblins. "It's definitely another one, I can feel it. That makes three we have come across." He told them quietly stepping out of the way, so they could run some diagnostic tests.
Turning back to his son, while the Goblins worked, "I think it's time we bring Amelia in now, just as you suggested. This makes three we've come across and from the news I got last week from Sharpclaw, there are another three still out there."
Harrison gasped quietly. "You've finally heard back? They know how many he made?" he asked quickly, forgetting his Professor was in the room.
Sirius just nodded before turning to Flitwick. "I am sure you are confused Professor. This diary is a Horcrux. The goblins have already destroyed two of its kind and are here to take the Diary back to Gringotts to destroy this one as well. First thing however, I'd like to bring Madam Bones here and fill her in if you wouldn't made letting my use your Floo?"
To say Fillius was shocked would be putting it mildly. Horcrux, and more than one…there could only be one person who had been insane enough to sever their soul once let alone multiple times. Albus has always been adamant That Voldemort wasn't truly gone, and now here in front of him was proof.
"Of course, but if you want to get in touch with her quickly. Best we use my personal elf instead" He told the man immediately.
"Blippy"
"Master Flitwick be calling Blippy sir?" A short, middle-aged house-elf asked bowing in respect.
"Yes, go to Madam Amelia Bones at the Ministry and inform her she is needed at Hogwarts urgently. Lord Black is requesting her presence. When she arrives in the entrance hall, direct her here."
"Blippy be doing that right way," He exclaimed before popping away once more.

It didn't take long for Amelia to arrive. Barley 10 minutes had passed, before she was striding through the door and into their Makeshift meeting room.
"Sirius, what is so urgent?" She asked the man immediately, whilst taking in the room's occupants with a raised eyebrow. The two had long been on first name basis, after spending the last 2 years since his release catching up, first through the odd letter, while he focused on his health and taking care of his son and then more frequently while Harrison and her niece whom she was raising Susan were at school.
Not wanting to waste any time, Sirius got right to it, explaining the Ritual that Harrison had been through almost 2 years ago, and the discovery and destruction of the Horcrux. As well as coming across another one at the beginning of September.
He made sure to give details such as, the Goblins were able to run tests on the second Horcrux and determine that there were four more still out there needing to be destroyed, before finally showing her the diary the Goblins were still working on.
"Once this one is destroyed, there are only three left. Unfortunately, we can't know what they are." He finished finally.
Nodding in acknowledgement Amelia stood quietly going over the onslaught of information she was just given.
"I don't think it's a good idea if word of this gets out," she told them finally. "But we do need a team that can discreetly look for the others. People we trust explicitly. There are three Aurors I have on staff that I would trust with this, but we need an expert on Voldemort.
I know your opinion of the man Sirius, and you're not faulted for it, but if there were anyone who would know The Dark Lord best, then its him. We need to Bring Dumbledore into this."
Sirius clenched his jaw in irritation, before nodding once. "I only have a couple stipulations. He is to never be alone with Harrison, and I will NOT allow him to try and manipulate my son or make him out to be a soldier or a pawn."

It was finally Yule break, and Harrison was home and able to relax at last.
The past week had flown by in a blur of activity. They had filled the Headmaster in on what they knew of the Horcruxes, and he had immediately begun to compile all he knew of the man once known as Tom Marvolo Riddle.
Harrison had also brought up his concerns concerning the youngest Weasley, giving them all the details, he had noticed since the first of September, as well as what Myrtle had told him.
Madam Pomfrey had been called in to do a complete medical scan and was alarmed to see mild possession hogging the young girls mind, and her close to exhaustion as her magical core was dangerously low.
After that, things just started happening. Mr. and Mrs. Weasley were called to the school immediately, and informed about their Daughter, before she was given a cleansing draught and they were instructed to take her home, and let her rest for a few weeks, until her core was able to build itself back up to full strength, and the possession effects had completely worn off. After that they were to take her to St. Mungo's for a checkup, to make sure the girl was 100%.
After that, however, was when the consequences of her actions would take place.
Mr. Weasley had assured them that once his daughter was feeling well again, she would be brought into the ministry to volunteer her time, to whatever community services Madam Bones thought appropriate and for however long she deemed it necessary, as well as beginning to see a Mind healer for the foreseeable future. Those terms were non-negotiable for his daughter. He couldn't believe that she had willingly spoken to the diary and put herself in such a vulnerable position. She knew, that if you cannot see where something keeps its brain, then you are never to converse with it, and tell an adult immediately.
He was determined to get to the bottom of Why she did what she did, and make sure she understood, what her actions had caused.
Before they left, Sirius had approached the man and quietly reminded him that as Lord Black, and their direct head of Family, he was going to be the one paying for any medical care Ginny might need. Because, While Mr. Weasley may be the current Lord Weasley, since his own Fathers death just after Percy's birth, they were a Minor house, thus under the Guidance and Protection of the Black's, the family Patriarch.
After all that, Dumbledore had made the decision -with heavy suggestions from Flitwick, Sirius, and Amelia-, that the school would be shut down come the holidays, until the chamber could be found and closed permanently. At which time, the student would be able to come back and finish off whatever was left the school year, to make sure they were ready for the next school term, or confident to take their higher exams.
So, with the help of the house elves, the students had been all packed up, and sent on the train home to enjoy an unknown amount of time off.
Though, Harrison knew that he himself would still be plenty busy until he could once more return to the castle.
After all, he still had to many plans to fucus on that wouldn't allow him to slack off completely.
But first, his dad was taking him on another Holiday, this time he was heading to Madagascar for some relaxation and sun.
