whumptober2020: In life, Arthur and John had a lot of differences. They were the same in many ways, too. Towards the end, they shared one thing. After Lone Mule Stead, Arthur's shoulder never did stop bothering him. After Dutch left him to die on the train tracks, John's arm never did stop hurting.

whumptober2020: Arthur was decently sure he was upside down. Least it felt like it, he was no stranger to the feeling of blood rushing to his head, and his head was throbbing in that way, his mouth tasting vaguely metallic. 'Shiiit.' Tried to right himself, and found he couldn't, an uncomfortable tugging sensation on his stomach that… was becoming more painful than uncomfortable.

whumptober2020: Uncle Dutch came home that night with Uncle Javier. He went to run up and hug him though he was looking behind him for Uncle Hosea - Uncle Dutch and Uncle Hosea were always together, but the door closed behind them and everyone was closing around him and he was being jostled and Uncle Hosea wasn't there.

Just another little RDR fanfic where I explore a means of curing Arthur's TB and discovering new trials for him and John Marston's relationship. Possibilities are endless here, as it doesn't follow a specific in game storyline so, join me on this journey and let's see where this goes together. :)

whumptober2020: Charles never regretted burying Arthur. But he'd give anything to be able to close his eyes without seeing Arthur laying on the mountain, without seeing his corpse. To remember Arthur without first seeing him dead on the ground, to remember him living and bright, even if it was angry and cruel, if only because it meant he didn't first think of him half-rotted.
