Hello loves!

Right, I'll just get on with this rant quickly today so there's no need to read through paragraphs and paragraphs of my life.

So, because of Gunpowder Night, I have literally been staring up at my ceiling all night long instead of actually getting any sleep because of the bloody fireworks right outside my house! It's driving me insane!

Adding onto that, I'm ninety nine percent sure that I've sprained my ankle because I literally have a sling for it. It hurts like hell right now. So because of this, i might consider posting a double update this weekend. If you guys would like that, let me know.

Now let's get on with it! As always, I own nothing.

Aria sat on Davina's bed humming a tune as Marcel looked at Elijah in his coffin curiously and Davina looked out of the window. Since Thierry's banishment to the Garden, a place Marcel kept those who had 'betrayed him', they hadn't been on the best of terms. As such, Aria had chosen to childishly stay in Davina's attic.

That had been one month ago.

"This sucker's resilient. He's like a cockroach in a suit," Marcel murmured as the edge of Aria's lip twitched slightly, "Doesn't matter. Time to give ol' Elijah back to Klaus, anyway. I've held it off long enough." He sighed as Davina whirled around.

"You asked Aria and me to figure out a way to kill the Originals. We're not done! The silver dagger hurts them, but that's it."

"Davina, we've been through this. Klaus saved my life, I owe him one. Since he wants his brother back-"

"Tonight's the annual Dauphine Street Music Festival. I wanna go. Please?" Davina asked suddenly as Aria smiled and sat up, looking over to her father with pleading eyes.

"The whole point of you being up here is so you're never spotted out there. You know who works smack in the middle of Dauphine Street? Sophie Deveraux. Pain-in-the-ass witch? And you know what the witches will do to you if they find you. Not to mention what they'll do to Aria after Katie's death." He said as Aria winced slightly.

"But you control the witches, dad. Make her go away!"

Marcel shook his head and Aria and Davina groaned in unison.

"Marcel, it's one night!"

"I said, 'No'." He announced, his tone firm and final as he turned to leave the small room.

"I do anything you say, but sometimes I think you forget what I'm capable of. Did you know I can make someone's blood boil? All I have to do is focus." Davina announced, narrowing her eyes at Marcel. There was a slight hissing noise in the room and Marcel's expression turned into a small frown before he smiled, clearly impressed.

"Dad, please. We need this. Davina needs this…" She waited a beat, "I need this."

Marcel sighed at her last statement and she knew that had been the tipping point for him, "Fine. We compromise, all right? You two going out alone? Too dangerous. But, I'll introduce you to a friend of mine that's going to be there. Alright? Nice lady. You three are really gonna hit it off." He smiled as Aria and Davina grinned.

~*•°•*~

Just before Marcel prepared to go to the attic to collect Aria and Davina, he walked along Dauphine Street and gave out instructions to a group of vampires,

"Big event tonight, a lot of people drinking, a lot of eyes watching. I don't want any trouble, which means no witches. Send word through the Cauldron. Any witches come here, we kill them. And, while you're at it, no Originals, I don't like how Rebekah's been snooping around. I got my girl Cami coming. Her, Aria and a little friend of theirs, I want eyes on these three at all times. Eyes only. Alright? I don't want anyone getting anywhere near any of them. Everybody's got a post, everybody keeps an eye out. You cool?" The vampires all nodded and he smiled to himself slightly before walking to the church.

Twenty minutes later, Aria and Davina both smiled as they walked down Dauphine Street. Davina was wearing a white sundress that reached down to her knees with flats whilst Aria wore some simple jean shorts, a white backless tank top, the two edges of the top being tied together at the base of her back and strappy sandals, her hair let down just like Davina's. The two girls smiled as they looked around at all the people. Marcel and Davina walk into Rousseau's, which was teeming with people drinking and listening to a brass band play up front,

"So, is it everything you two hoped for?" Marcel asked knowingly.

Aria and Davina nodded enthusiastically, "Yeah!"

"Am I forgiven Aria?" Marcel asked hopefully.

Aria pursed her lips, "…It's a start."

Marcel chuckled, "Hey, I'll take it. So, we should probably go over the rules."

Davina sighed, "We won't talk to anyone about anything-"

"And we won't say anything about witches, or vampires, or Originals, or you." Aria finished as Marcel nodded, pleased.

"Now you said you weren't going to hover!" Davina scolded.

"So skedaddle!" Aria continued as she and Davina laughed at the look on Marcel's face.

~*•°•*~

Aria and Davina stood in front of the stage as they both listened to the music being played. Aria turned around and sighed, "You know, you were supposed to stop hovering like, ten minutes ago."

Marcel gave her a mildly amused look, "See what I mean? Authority issues! I'll go talk to the mayor. He actually knows how to show some respect!"

Aria made a face at him and he chuckled before walking away from the girls, "Come on Cami. I think I need to diagnose my friend and I need your help."

"What are the symptoms?" Cami asked with a knowing smile as she looked over to Davina who was in turn watching a boy on the stage intently.

"She won't stop staring at this guy!" Aria said exasperatedly as they walked back over to Davina, "I came out for a nice evening and suddenly it's like I'm chopped liver!"

Cami laughed and they stopped next to Davina, Aria on her right and Cami on her left, "So, what's his name? Hot guy with the fiddle?" Cami asked knowingly as Davina blushed.

"Tim. I knew he would be here, he always performs at these kind of things."

"How long have you two known each other?"

"Since we were ten," Cami looked at her curiously and she elaborated, "I had to leave school, and I didn't get to say goodbye. So, I was just hoping to talk to him tonight."

Aria squealed and pulled Davina into a hug, "Aww! My little Davina has a crush!"

Davina gave Aria a less than impressed look and Aria began laughing, Cami and Davina both following not long after.

A few moments later after the band had stopped playing, Aria, Davina and Cami were looking for Tim inside Rousseau's.

"Well, he couldn't have gone far, he just got off-stage a minute ago!" Cami pointed out hopefully. Davina sighed and blinked tears from her eyes.

"It doesn't matter, this was a stupid idea anyway."

"No, it wasn't! D, come on we'll be able to find him!" Aria smiled.

"Just forget it." She muttered before she ran off, Aria following her a second later.

"Davina!"

~*•°•*~

Aria walked up to the church with Davina and Cami by her side, they stopped at the entrance and Davina smiled widely when she saw Tim stood in the aisle, staring at the statues and lit candles at the altar.

"I can't do this." Davina whispered worriedly.

Aria sighed and gently pushed Davina into the church and by extension, towards Tim. She gave Cami a cheeky smile when the older woman gave her a slightly scolding look, "She wasn't going to do it otherwise."

"I think the human girl's right." Kol announced from behind her. She jumped in surprise and gave Cami a small apologetic smile as the woman walked into the church. Aria whirled around, "You can't just keep popping up like that!"

"On the contrary, I think I can little witch. Although," He turned thoughtful and looked up to the church, "It's rather difficult around here. Why?"

"No clue." Aria responded innocently.

Kol narrowed his eyes, "You're lying."

"Am I?"

His eyes narrowed more before she turned around to watch Davina and Tim just in time to hear Tim ask if she was coming back to school. Aria frowned and felt a flash of sympathy for Davina.

"So, are you coming back to school?"

Davina gave Tim a sad look, "No. But I need you to know that even though I was away, I miss you. I miss seeing you at school, seeing you play your violin."

Aria heard Kol mutter something like 'sickeningly adorable' behind her but she paid him no mind.

"Well, this place does have great acoustics." Tim chuckled. Aria and Davina shared a look of confusion even though the latter couldn't see Aria but the look soon turned into a grin as Tim picked up his violin and bow and began to play.

After a moment or two, the hauntingly beautiful melody came to a halt and Aria smiled softly, her smile quickly turning into a scowl when she heard a familiar accented voice.

"You two are absolutely adorable! Warms my heart, it really does. But, I do need a word with the young lady. So, Tim," Klaus gripped Tim's shoulders, "Go sit down. Count to one hundred thousand," He commanded as Tim walked to the back of the church, "Quietly, now, there's a good boy," He turned to Davina. Aria went to enter the church but Kol came to a stop in front of her, "Don't."

"You don't control me, Mikaelson." She whispered furiously.

"Darling, you go in there, it's game over. And I will have no one to talk to."

"And I care because? Oh that's right, I don't." She walked right through the ghost and watched as he disappeared, shaking off the cold feeling that suddenly came over her as she edged closer to her friend and the Hybrid to hear their conversation.

"I assume you know who I am? Then, let's get right to it, shall we? Your current dilemma strikes me as a case of poor alliances. You're loyal to Marcel and yet he keeps you tucked away in an attic. Surely you prefer just a little bit more freedom. And yet Marcel and his daughter most likely keep you prisoner."

Davina scoffed, "Marcel doesn't keep me prisoner, he keeps me safe. He's my friend. As for Aria, she doesn't want to use me. She's like a sister." Davina said as Aria paused and smiled slightly at the confession.

"Well, I've no doubt they are your friends. But for a girl caught in a war between witches and vampires, I might be a better friend. I would keep you safe. And, I'd allow you your freedom. If Marcel could do that, why hasn't he done so already? And it does beg the question: If Marcel and his little witchy daughter can't protect you, then what of those you care about?" He asked, gesturing to Tim.

"If anyone tries to hurt anyone I care about, I'll kill them."

"Well, then. Sounds like you don't need Marcel or Aria at all. Perhaps you've suspected it all along. Your dear friends Marcel and Aria trick you into doing their bidding, and all the while, you rot in an attic, alone, while young Timothy moves on with his life."

Aria sighed, "That's enough of that," She announced, walking further into the church. She stopped beside Davina and stared at Klaus, "You feel that? That's your blood starting to boil." She hissed as Klaus suddenly lost his smirk and began to groan as the hissing noise filled the room. In a last ditched attempt to save himself, he ran over to Tim and held him in a headlock, "Such a shame to lose him, just as you found him again," He turned to Tim, "And I really did admire your skill with that violin."

"Don't you dare hurt him!" Davina yelled before turning to Aria, "Aria please stop!"

"Let him go now!" Aria shouted.

"You should know, I don't do well with demands." Klaus smirked.

"Good grief." Aria murmured. She rolled her eyes and thrust her hand out, twisting it brutally and hearing the bones in Klaus' leg snap. Klaus grunted in pain before the bones almost instantly reset themselves,

"Impressive. But you don't want to fight me, love. Innocent people have a way of ending up dead."

"Please, let me go." Tim whispered.

"Aria please." Davina begged.

"Your choice, little witch. Swear allegiance to me alone and the boy lives. Stand against me and, well, your friend's little boyfriend is a goner."

Aria narrowed her eyes and the candles in the room began to flicker and flare as her anger grew, after a second, she threw both her hands in front of her and shrieked as all of her built up anger and power was directed over to Klaus. The room began to shake as a strong wind flew through the hall, the windows all smashing as Klaus was thrown violently towards the entrance, Tim fell down to the ground and herself and Davina were knocked backwards and thrown to the ground by the power of her magic.

After a moment, Aria came to and grabbed onto her head in pain as she sat up, "Why're you still here?" She questioned, looking towards the ghost sitting next to her, the look from the previous few weeks back in his eyes again.

"You're the only one I can talk to. And I'll be damned if Nik takes my one connection to the living away from me. Are you alright?"

"My head hurts."

"Well that's what tends to happen when you unleash all your power to knock Nik back. Apart from that is everything alright? Anything broken?"

Aria smiled weakly, "Careful Mikaelson. Keep asking questions and I'll start to think you care," Her smile dropped and she looked around the room, "Tim. Where's Tim?"

Kol pursed his lips and looked up to the balcony part of the church. Aria followed his eyes and saw Klaus holding Tim over the edge, "Please, don't hurt me." Tim murmured in a beg.

"It wasn't my intent to. But, sadly, we've run out of time to play nice." Klaus retorted as he threw Tim over the railing, his violin following not long after.

"No. No, no, no." She murmured, running over to Tim's prone form.

"Tim! Oh no, no, please! I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. You were never meant to get hurt. Come on, stay awake. Stay awake for Davina." She murmured as that very girl took a sharp breath from behind her.

"Aria? TIM!" Davina yelled, running over to them and pulling Tim's head into her lap. Aria looked up when she heard footsteps and narrowed her eyes when she saw Klaus walking towards them.

"One of the tragic consequences of war. Innocent bystanders. What terrible guilt you'll have to live with young Timothy's blood on your hands, Aria."

"Get away from us! Aria was only trying to protect us from you!"

Klaus raised his hands in defence, "No, no, let's not be hasty. After all, I can heal him. All you have to do is ask." He said softly, crouching down next to them as Davina looked over to him, expression hopeful.

"Please." Davina whispered desperately.

"For you, Davina? With pleasure." He replied, biting his wrist and feeding his blood to Tim. After a moment, Tim pulled away and sighed in relief as his eyes opened. Klaus tilted his head up and looked him in the eye, "You will forget everything that happened after the concert, including the fact that you saw Davina."

"What? No!" Davina protested.

"D, if he remembers seeing you, he might come looking. If the witches learn of him, if they know you have a weakness, then Tim might end up as leverage to control you. Again." Aria murmured softly. Davina looked to her and leaned on her for support as she turned away from Tim sadly. They vaguely heard Klaus compelling Tim to believe he had lost his violin back stage after the performance before Tim walked out of the church as if in a daze. Which, Aria reminded herself, he would be until he got back to the festival.

"All fixed!" Klaus announced, "And now, you owe me a favour." He said before seemingly vanishing. Aria held Davina close as the girl picked up Tim's violin sadly, tears already running down her face. They looked up when they heard footsteps running into the church and saw Marcel pause in his steps,

"Aria, Davina! What happened? What are you two doing here?" He asked breathlessly as he looked around the room in confusion. The broken glass and general disarray of the room catching him off guard.

Aria narrowed her eyes at him, "We live here, remember?" She hissed as she helped Davina stand up and walk to the attic, not looking back at Marcel.

~*•°•*~

Davina gently touched Tim's broken violin in the attic as a tear ran down her face, "I am so, so sorry D." Aria whispered softly. Davina turned to her friend with a small, sad smile, "It's not your fault." She murmured. Both the girls looked up in surprise when they heard a floorboard creak, and turned toward the sound.

Aria narrowed her eyes and walked over to Elijah's coffin warily, before she could open it, she suddenly heard a voice from behind her. One that was decidedly not Davina's. She turned around in shock as she and Davina stared at the Original vampire.

"It's all right. I don't mean either of you any harm, though I do think it's time we had a talk." Elijah Mikaelson spoke, skin still desiccated.

Aria gulped.
