The birth part 2
"Is Dr. Buick coming?" Dianna asks when Kevin comes in the room.
"He's on his way, and pretty soon we will have five daughters." He says taking her hand and caressing it
"I can't wait either, and I can't believe it's happening so soon" she says rubbing her belly
"Yeah don't worry sweet heart like Bella's birth they had the NICU team in there, and they will be in there when these three arrive." He says getting into bed and comforting her
As Dianna experienced each contraction. Kevin was right by her side helping her through it. There was a point in Dianna's labor that he got her some ice chips to munch on.
"The ice man has arrived" he says cheerfully as he enters with a cup and a pitcher of ice for Dianna
Dianna started munching on her ice chips as Kevin massaged her back with the tennis balls, and his hands.
"Babe that feels so good" she says as she gets relaxed while eating her ice chips
"I'll do anything to get you to relax right now if you're up for it. We can walk the halls while we wait for Dr. Buick' he suggest massages her swollen feet
"That's a good idea maybe the girls have turned and I can try delivering them natural. I would love to do a VBAC after the experience we had with Bella." She says as Kevin helps her up
Kevin grabs her I.V and together they start walking the halls. Hoping to make the girls switch positions, and get Gabby from laying on Dianna's cervix and into the head down position for birth.
"Why are we doing this for a second time?" She asks as she experience a contraction
"So we can give Tori and Bella a sibling to play with instead of them playing with each other." He says as he holds her and rocks her as the contraction goes through her
"After this we are done five kids is enough" She says as they continue to walk the halls
"I wouldn't mind having a boy that I could take to sporting events, play ball with, and other father and son activities." He says as they continue to walk
"Okay when these three are two we can try for your little boy, and afterwards we are done do you hear me Kevin." She says sternly
"Yes sweetie" he says as they head back to the room.
That walking helped Gabby went from lying in the cervix to being head first
"That means if Gabby is either on this side or that. Bridget is above and Ever-Rose is on the opposite side of Gabby" Dianna says as she figures out where the girls were
Dianna got the epidural and was able to sleep, and when she slept. Kevin stepped out for some coffee and to check on Tori and Bella to see how they were doing.
"Kevin, Tori is fine she is sleeping peacefully in Olivia's room on the spare bed we keep in there for guests." Naya says when she saw who was calling at that godly hour.
"Just checking in Naya. We got some good news the girls turned, and one of them is now head down, and ready for delivery. Dianna gonna get her wish of a VBAC." Kevin says
"Keep us posted Kevin." Naya says as she hangs up
"Will do." He says as he texts Logan to check on Bella to see how's she is doing.
Logan texted back a short time later saying that Bella is fine, and is sleeping is Chloe's room. That made Kevin feel relieved that both girls are doing fine, so he heads to Dianna's room to get some sleep. Goodness knows he will need it.
(Four hours later)
A nurse comes in and checks to make sure Gabby was head down for delivery, and break Dianna's water.
"Morning Kevin did you sleep well?' Dianna asks when she stretches
"Yup how far along are you?" he asks stretching
"Getting there last time I was checked I was at 7 centimeters and progressing nicely." She says happily
"I wish I could bring you something for breakfast" He says taking his spot beside her
"Yeah last time I ate was last night, and I am hungry right now I don't know if I can get breakfast, so I can have my strength for the delivery." She says rubbing her tummy
"I'll see what I can do." He says leaving the room
Dianna gets a call from both Naya and Logan to see if they can get in and get clean clothes for the girls, and Dianna tells them to bring the girls that night to the hospital cause they were going to sleep in their own beds once again
"Good news Dianna you can have breakfast" Kevin says cheerfully coming in the room
"That's a relief" she says lying back for a little bit
After breakfast it was time for Dianna to start pushing
"Okay Dianna when I count to three give me a really good push." Dr. Buick says when he was in position
Dianna pushed with all her might
"This is worst then the Journey to regionals episode where the birthing process was harder." She says as she continues to push
"Just keep going Dianna you are doing, so well" Kevin says as he coaches her.
"KEVIN MCHALE you are never touching me again" she says as she pushes some more.
"Good Dianna take a little break okay" Dr. Buick says as he cleans out Gabby's mouth and nose
Dianna pants for a little bit before going back to pushing.
"One more good push and she can see your little girl" Dr. Buick says as he holds Gabby's head
Dianna pushed one more time and they could hear Gabby's cries
"Say hello to mommy and daddy" Dr. Buick says laying Gabby on Dianna
"Kevin she looks like Bella" Dianna says with a chuckle
"Yes she does Dianna yes she does" he says kissing both of them
Kevin cut Gabby's cord before she was taken away to be examine by the nurses
"Okay Dianna the very first baby is back in position, and is head down. The same thing as before" Dr. Buick says from the other end of the bed
Dianna started pushing once more, and as she pushed Kevin encouraged her.
"Come on Bridget it's time to be born." Dianna says as she pushes
"Good Dianna keep it going." Dr. Buicks says as he catches Bridget's head
Dianna had to stop pushing for a while cause the cord was wrapped around Bridget's neck, and Dr. Buick had to get it loose.
"Kevin I can't I'm too tired" she says as she pants
"Dianna you are so close we have to get past Bridget's shoulders and she's here" he says
Kevin gave Dianna his hand, and she squeezed the living daylights out of it as she pushed.
"Hello pumpkin and welcome to the world" Kevin says when Dr. Buick places Bridget on Dianna's chest
"Dianna she looks like you.' Kevin says with a chuckle
"Oh my gosh she does, but she has your hair" Dianna says with a chuckle
"Hello Bridget Cappella McHale welcome to the world" Kevin says placing a headband on her head
Ever-Rose was being stubborn, and did not want to be born.
"Ever-Rose is you already cause she does not want to come out." Dianna says as she pushes
After thirty minutes of pushing Dr. Buick didn't see a thing.
"Dianna I'm going to let you rest a while, and let you bond with the two you have already and come back in a while to check to see if there is any progress" Dr. Buick says taking off his gown and leaving the room
One nurse hand Kevin little Bridget, and Dianna little Gabby
"Hello my sweet Gabriella Euphony McHale" Dianna says looking down at Gabby's blue eyes
"Dianna, Bridget has your eyes" Kevin says when Bridget opened her eyes for the first time since her birth
"Yes she does doesn't she" Dianna says looking over at Bridget who was wide awake
Soon both girls started rooting for food
"Gabby you go over here, and Bridget you can be on my left side" Dianna says getting into position to breastfeed
While she was breastfeeding Kevin left the room to go get the girl's from their locations
(Preschool)
"Daddy did mommy have the babies?" Bella asks all excited
"She had two of them, and we are waiting on your other sister to come right now. That's why I pulled you from preschool" he says as he lets her in the van
Tori went to Olivia's preschool, and shockingly she like it there.
"Where we going now daddy?" Tori asks sitting in her regular car seat
"To the hospital to see Bridget, and Gabby your new sisters" he says as he drives to the hospital,
(Hospital)
"Okay my sweet angel's mommy going to try to burp you one by one" Dianna says putting both girls on the bed, and picking Bridget up to burp her
Both Bridget and Gabby let out some good burps, and then fall asleep within minutes
"Okay my gorgeous daughters let's get you pretty for your big sisters. Victoria and Isabella" she says as she changes their diapers
Once Kevin turn off the van and open the side doors. Bella jumped out and ran for the hospital. Victoria could care less
(Dianna's hospital room)
"Are those my sisters?" Bella says happily as she enters the room
"Yes so far. I would like you to meet Bridget and Gabriella your baby sisters" Dianna says showing Bella the babies
"They're so teeny" Bella says her eyes lit up like a Christmas tree
"They came a little early that's why they're so small" Dianna says getting back in bed while Bella fusses over her new sisters
Soon Dianna feels something move down
"Bella can you be a big girl and go get the doctor for mommy please?" Dianna asks her
"Yes mommy" Bella says skipping out of the room
Dr. Buick returns a short time later with two different nurses
"It appears Ever-Rose decided to make her appearance now. Just like before Dianna give me one good push" he says once he was gowned and Dianna's legs were in the stirrups
Dianna pushed twice and Ever-Rose was born
"Bella would you like the honors of cutting Ever-Rose's cord?" Dianna asks her
"Can I" Bella says excitedly
"Sure and after you can have the honors of holding your new sister for the first time. While mommy gets changed
"Very good Bella have you been practicing cutting?" Dr. Buick asks her
"Yes she has next fall both girls are entering kindergarten" Dianna says as Dr. Buick stitches her up
After Ever-Rose was cleaned up and a headband on her head. The nurses hand her to Bella
"Hi Ever-Rose I'm your big sister Isabella" Bella says looking down at her sister
Dianna was changed and moved into a different room with all four girls. She couldn't help but smile at Bella bonding with her new sisters. Dianna was exhausted from delivering three lives into the world she took a small nap
"Ever-Rose and Bridget I'm going to teach you all kinds of cool stuff when your older like running, skipping, jumping rope, how not to be like Tori, how to give daddy the puppy dog face when you want something, how to be true daddy's girls, what to hug when you have nightmares, music since daddy loves music so much I might play you a few tunes on my flute since I'm taking lessons at the moment, and much more" Bella says looking down at her sisters as she walks the halls of the floor
Once she walked with them for a bit. She did the same thing with Gabby her twin look a like
"Gabby like your sisters we are going to be the best of friends" Bella says happily
Soon Bella sees Gabby lips are turning blue
"Hang on Gabby I'll save you" Bella says laying her down on a nearby table and starts giving her CPR. Kevin sees them cause he too Tori back to preschool cause she didn't want to see her stupid sisters in the first place.
"Bella what happened?" he asks running towards her
"I was walking with Gabby next thing I know her lips are turning blue" Bella says as she continues CPR on Gabby
Kevin gets a nurse and the nurse comes with two other nurses and they take Gabby to the NICU.
"Will Gabby be okay?" Bella asks as Kevin carries her back to the room
"I don't know how you learned CPR like that?" he asks her
"Preschool one of my classmate's parents is an EMT and they showed us how to do it" she says happily
"For that I'll let you get anything you want name it" he says as they head for Dianna's room
Bella thinks for a minutes, and she comes up with the perfect idea
"Can I get my ears pierced?" she asks excitedly
"I'll ask mommy and if she says yes you can get them pierced" he says heading back to the room
When Kevin and Bella walked in the room Dianna was crying
"What wrong sweetie?" he asks setting her down
"I woke up from my nap, and Bridget was shaking uncontrollably, and Ever-Rose wasn't breathing" Dianna says crying
Bella sprang into action and started CPR on Ever-Rose, and taking care of Bridget at the same time
"Dianna come on Gabby had to go somewhere" Kevin says guiding her towards the NICU
