Chapter 13
Third POV
After a tiring journey of three days of continuous flying, the gods finally reached the entrance of the pit. They landed with a thud. The cyclopes and hundred handed ones were overjoyed and ecstatic at the sight of light . They were already jumping around and inspecting the nearby crops and lakes. The gods however were too tired to even move a muscle . They just laid there, sprawled on the ground.
"That sucked." Percy said, basically summing up the journey into Tartarus. The other six gods just nodded and chuckled softly.
Percy POV
As I lay resting, i felt a nagging presence in my mind. It was as if my senses were alerting me that we were being spied on.
But I shook it off thinking that my time in the pit of eternal damnation was confusing me and playing games with my mind.
But to be sure, I got up and scouted my surroundings. There was no one other than the six children of Kronos, the three cyclopes and hundred handed ones.
But I also sensed the aura of a titan. It was not as strong as the first generation Titans, but it had a different feel to it. Unlike the violent auras of the other Titans , this aura was calm and peaceful. Being near it made you lose your worries and relax.
I mind messaged the six gods about this strange aura. Five of them were as confused as me, but Zeus had an excited expression on his face.
'Maybe Zeus knows the person who this aura belongs to.' I thought. But I couldn't think of any name that matched my observations. It couldn't be Rhea as her aura was a lot stronger than this . Hell, her aura was almost as strong as mine.
Only Kronos, Hyperion, Iapetus , Oceanus and Atlas had auras stronger than mine, even though Krios and Koios were close to it. Amongst the gods , Poseidon and Hades had the strongest auras , which were about as strong as Koios's .
Man! I got distracted from the topic . Can gods even have ADHD? Huh. Guess I am just weird. Anyways, seeing Zeus's expression, I asked him whether he knew who it was. He nodded with a goofy grin on his face , but didn't answer my question. He looked like a child who found a bunch of chocolates on his way to school. Though if the chocolates were blue... . Damm! Got distracted again.
Zeus stood up and spoke in a tone filled with excitement , " I know it's you . Please come out . I have missed you a lot. " We looked at him shocked. I had a vague guess about the identity of the person, but I wasn't sure. Suddenly, Zeus was hit in the head by a stick and he fell to the ground with a shriek. We all busted out laughing. A beautiful woman with blonde hair and greyish- silver eyes was standing behind him . Her eyes shine with amusement and she was giggling uncontrollably. With a jolt I recognized the woman.
"You are Metis , titaness of prudence, good council, planning, advice and wisdom."
She immediately sobered and looked at me with calm but stormy eyes. It was as if she was studying me. My heart clenched when I saw that look. It was the same look that Annabeth had when she was studying people. Heck, Metis was actually Annabeth's grandmother.
The other gods got alarmed and took out their weapons and pointed them at Metis. Zeus , who was on his feet now and rubbing his head furiously, was about to protest, but I beat him to it.
"Guys, put your weapons down. I don't think Metis here means us any harm. " The gods looked at me in conflict, but a reassuring nod from meade them sheath their weapons again. "Who are you and how do you know me?" Metis asked.
"I am Percy Jackson, son of Poseidon. I have come from the future to help the gods win against the Titans." I said . Then for the next four hours, I told her about the story of my
life. By the end, she was looking at me in shock, awe, respect and fear.
"So you mean to say that you are from two thousand years in the future. You defeated the god of war (no pun intended) when you were twelve, you held up the sky when you were thirteen, jumped into the Lethe with Iapetus when you were fifteen and managed to retain your memories. You survived a bath in the Styx, defeated Hyperion and Kronos by yourself in your timeline and these aren't even half your achievements??"
"Yeah that pretty much sums it up." I said. She just nodded numbly. " Well enough about me, but why are you here?" I inquired.
She got a faraway look in her eyes . Then her eyes hardened and her fists clenched .
She said, " Kronos got to know that I had stayed with Zeus when he was young and was his best friend. Also, I refused to help him in the war. So, the brute cast me into Tartarus. Though how he knew about it k do not know."
Then I explained to her about how Kronos had regained his memories of the future. That answered her questions. "So, are you going to join us ? I know that you despise Kronos as much as I do."
I extended my hand to her and she grasped it firmly with a huge grin plastered on her face. I smiled back and then turned to the other gods and triplets of Gaia. " If everyone is ready, we should flash back to Mount Ida." They nodded and closed their eyes. Now that they had their symbols of power, they could concentrate their energy on it and flash easily. Metis and I were well experienced with flashing, so we held hands with each other and the triplets of Gaia. We flashed away with them.
We reached Mount Ida to find a horrifying sight . The nymphs and kourettes that had raised Zeus were lying dead on the floor. They had been brutally murdered. As we ran inside, we saw Rhea and the six gods in chains. The six gods were tired . The first time of flash traveling had cost them a large amount of their energy.
"Well well, what do we have here?" Came a cruel voice from the shadows. From the other side of the room, another male voice said, " Looks like the little traitor is out of Tartarus and has joined the children of Kronos".

I know that it is a short chapter, but I am really loaded with college work right now. The next update will be on Saturday by latest.
