A Painful Decision

"Sango, you've been holding Michigo and Sanru for awhile now, don't you think it's time that I their father got to hold them?" Michiru asked his wife teasingly.

"Huh? Oh, sorry Michiru." Sango gasped handing Michigo back to her loving husband. "It's just my motherly instincts. After all, I haven't held them for so long and as such, I feel I don't want to let them go again."

"I understand." Michiru nodded as he gently cradled Michigo. "I know you love them Sango, and as do I."

With a smile, Sango began to gently rock her child that she still had in her arms. She and her husband were waiting for her fatherr-in-law to return from the grocery store, as modern people called it, to get some baby food so that the girls could eat. After all they had been asleep for nearly a week and a half, and thus needed food. Just then Mrs. Kururugi came into the room.

"Sweetie, there's no need to wait to feed them until my husband returns." Mrs. Kururugi stated. "Just shift your kimono to the side and hold the baby's lips to your breast and feed them the way a newborn baby should be fed."

"WHAT?!" Sango gasped blushing profusely. "B-b-but I can't..."

"Can't what?" Mrs. Kururugi asked. "Sango, you're a mother now. As such, it's your job to see to it these babies are healthy. And they aren't ready yet for cow's milk. They need their mother's milk."

"But-but-but..." Sango continued to studder.

Just then Mrs. Kururugi frowned, loosenes a few buttons on her blouse, and with a slightly angry tone said to Sango, "Take the kimono off, and feed your babies properly right now!"

Slightly intimidated by her mother-in-law's hostile approach to this matter, Sango nodded and undid the sash to her kimono taking her right bare breast out and held Sanru's lips to it. Watching as Sanru began suckling her mother's nipple like a proper baby should, Mrs. Kururugi smiled and said, "There, that wasn't so hard was it?" She then turned to her son who was watching his wife breastfeeding her baby with a massive blush to his face. Shaking her head with a smile she said, "A-HEM! Dear, I hate to take your eyes away from such a beautiful thing, but I just need to tell you that as soon as Sanru's had her fill, you need to give Michigo back so that she can feed as well."

"Huh?" Michiru began as he realized that his mother was looking at him looking at Sango. "Oh! Oh, yes mother. I'll give Michigo back."

"Good." Mrs. Kururugi nodded. "Now you two lovebirds enjoy yourselves!"

With that, Mrs. Kururugi left the room. Sango, then turned to her husband and with a naughty tone of voice said, "Enjoying the show dear?"

"Huh?" Michiru said again. Then with his head out of the clouds, he turned away sharply and studdered, "Oh, I-I-I I'm sorry..."

"No, that's alright Michiru. Don't be sorry. After all, I'm your wife. You have every right to see me nude." Sango replied with a smile as her thoughts came to her mother's expression towards her mother-in-law's reaction to her hesitation to breastfeed Michigo and Sanru. "Wow, your mother was really insistent on me doing this. I wonder why she looked so annoyed just now."

"Mom can get a little impulsive about these things." Michiru explained. "She's a very strong advocate on raising children to grow up to be as healthy as they can be. And that's why she's also a strong advocate on women breastfeeding their children." Then with a chuckle, Michiru added, "Why if you were to so much as whisper the words, 'baby formula companies' around her, she'll chew you out!"

"That might come from her being one of Nature's Handmaidens." Sango pointed out. "After all, breastfeeding's the natural way to bring up a baby."

"Probably." Michiru nodded.

Just then they heard a loud voice cry out from the entryway, "DEAR, WHAT IS THE MEANING OF THIS?!"

Curious why his mother was yelling so loudly, Michiru and Sango listend intently as Mrs. Kururugi chewed out her husband by saying, "This is NOT organic baby food! This is a bunch of junk contaminated with preservatives! How could you do something like this?"

"Dear, it was on sale..." Mr. Kururugi began.

"ON SALE?!" Mrs. Kururugi gasped. "You mean a few measly cents mean more to you than the well-being of your own grandchildren?"

"Of course not!" Mr. Kururugi protested. "I just thought that..."

"Be quiet dear!" Mrs. Kururugi snapped. "As Nature's former champion, you know better than this! Therefore, you are going back to the store and buying organic baby food!"

"But dear..." Mr. Kururugi protested.

"No 'buts!'" Mrs. Kururugi answered sternly, "Now give me the other thing I told you to buy, get in the car, take this stuff back, and get organic baby food...NOW!"

With that, Michiru and Sango heard the door close and the car start up in the driveway. With a look of awe, Sango turned to Michriu and nodded, "Definitely comes from being one of Nature's Handmaidens."

"Yeah." Michiru nodded. "But I wonder what she meant when she said, 'the other thing I told you to buy?'"

Just then Kaname came into the room. "Hey guys!" She greeted sweetly. "How are the...whoa!"

It was then that Kaname noticed Sango breastfeeding her child. With a sheepish grin, Kaname spoke, "I guess you four are a little busy right now, huh?"

"Not at all Kaname." Sango shook her head. "We're only doing what come naturally for parents such as us. Is there something you wanted to talk about?"

"Yeah sis," Michiru nodded, "You haven't spoken much. Is there something on your mind?"

"Uh, yeah." Kaname answered. "It-it-it's about...InuYasha..."

"InuYasha?" Sango asked. "What about him?"

"Well he...he..." Kaname hesitated as a sigh escaped her lips. "He broke up with me a couple nights ago."

"Oh," Sango replied as memories of her breaking up with Miroku so long ago came into her mind and knowing what was on Kaname's mind. "I see..."

"Yeah." Kaname replied with a sad smile. "It was kinda hard on me when he did. But I know that I'll get over it. But still...it is hard. Not everyone can live happily-ever-after like you two can I guess."

"You still can sis." Michiru pointed out. "I mean, there's still Sesshomaru."

"I know." Kaname replied. "In fact, as soon as we get back and defeat Naraku (provided we don't run into Sesshomaru prior to that) I plan to search for him and profess my love for him. I just need to know if I have your support?"

"What are you saying sis?" Michiru asked. "Of course you have my support. You're my sister, and as such I want you to be happy. And if you truly do love Sesshomaru, then go for it!"

"In fact, why don't you go back right now?" Sango suggested.

"What?" Kaname asked.

"Well why not?" Sango spoke. "Michiru and I have something very important to discuss and it might take awhile. Also we need to pack for the return trip. So why not instead of waiting for us, you go back on your own and maybe Sesshomaru will drop by looking for answers from us and InuYasha."

Kaname thought for a moment. Then she nodded and said, "Alright, I'll go. See you all when you're ready." And she left the house.

Now that they were alone, Michiru turned to his wife and said, "Now to discuss something very serious."

"Yes." Sango nodded. "I know what you want me to do."

"Yes, I want you to stay behind here in the modern era." Michiru spoke.

"I know." Sango replied. "I know you're concerned for me because I am pregnant. And as such, I shouldn't be out killing demons like Naraku. Heck, I should hardly even train for that matter out of concern for the babies growing inside me."

"Yes, and not only that, but the modern era will be better for your condition. My parents can look out for you until you are ready to give birth. If you were to go in this expedition, you could seriously hurt those babies. So it would be better for you to stay here."

"But what about you dear?" Sango asked. "You can't stay behind, the others need your help! Naraku won't wait nine months to strike, and this mission could take forever! I could very well give birth while you're gone. And not only that, but you could die! What would I do if you died and I wasn't there to say goodbye?"

"Now, now, Sango." Michiru began. "Don't worry. I'll be fine. I understand your concern, but with InuYasha and my sister, we should be good without you. Look Sango, I know you want to come, but those babies need you to stay. So please, will you stay behind so that my family can take care of you?"

Sango looked up at her husband, and as a tear fell from her face she handed Michiru her Hiraikotsu and said, "Here, take this. You're strong enough to use it now, so take this so that a part of me will always be with you. Plus if Naraku dies I want at least a part of me to be part of his death."

"So you're staying behind?" Michiru asked.

"Yes." Sango nodded sadly. "I have to for this baby's sake."

"Good." Michiru smiled. "But before I go, I would like to spend one more night here in the modern era with you."

Sango smiled, "The day is dying fast my love. Let me feed Michigo, and let's go to bed."

With a nod, Michiru waited upstairs. About an hour later, Sango arrived at the door knocking.

"Come in Sango." Michiru spoke.

Just then the door opened to reveal to Michiru's surprise a half-naked Sango dressed in a pair of magenta pink panties and a lace bra to match. With a blush. Michiru looked to see his wife smiling at him and she spoke, "Mrs. Kururugi told your father to pick this out for me while buying the baby food. Apparently THIS is the other thing your mother told your father to buy!"

As Michiru just lay there stunned, Sango smiled and asked, "What? Say something! Do you like it?"

"Huh?" Michiru asked as he was once again brought from la-la land. "Oh! Oh, yeah! You look very...pretty."

"Pretty?" Sango asked with a teasing huff.

"Beautiful..." Michiru said in a distant dazed voice.

"That's more like it." Sango giggled as she crawled in bed snuggling her lingerie clad body against her husband's quivering body pressing her breasts against his chest. She snuggled for awhile and waited until Michiru had calmed down and relaxed. Then as soon as Michiru had settled down and put his arm around her waist, a naughty idea that would make a certain perverted monk extremely jealous peeked in Sango's head.

"Oh, Michiru..." She spoke in a manner that suggested trouble as he grabbed Michiru's wrist. "My rear is so cold and sore tonight," She continued with a sarcastic sad pout as she brought Michiru's hand to her backside. "Could you please make it feel better?"

Michiru didn't sleep a wink that night. He was too busy trying to recover from the shock of Sango's forwardness that evening.
