Chapter 2

Slowly Legolas became really angry. He had no idea how long he had been sitting in this darkness. Without any answers. Nobody had shown up yet, so the prince didn't even know which creatures he had been captured by.

His head was still throbbing and sent a wave of pain with every movement. From the pain and dizziness, the elf was suffering from a concussion. Great. Those were all things he could use now.

Suddenly the archer heard a noise and looked up curiously. Keys. Maybe he would have answers right away. The cell door swung open and the beautiful warrior gasped in horror. Humans! In front of him stood a big, tousled man, who looked down at the prince with an evil smile.

But Legolas did not know this man. He knew neither who he was nor what this man wanted from him. "I see our little elf has woken up." The prince gritted his teeth not to say anything he might regret. For the elf was angry and he knew his temper when he was insulted. And humans were also very easy to provoke.

"What, won't you say anything?", the man asked, and, playing a pretense, he pulled his face insulted. The beautiful warrior forced himself to rest. "What do you want from me?" The man laughed in reply.

Annoyed, the Mirkwood elf twisted his eyes. Couldn't this man simply answer his question clearly and plainly? "Hmm, actually nothing from you explicitly." Legolas had to hold back a cheeky remark. What was that supposed to mean? "Random sacrifice, or what?"

The human laughed and the unpleasant feeling in the belly of the elf told him that he was probably right. Well, that could be cheerful, if it really should be so. "Wow, you Elves are really smart."

The archer bit his lips. That was not good. The human must have seen the prince on the way to Rivendell.

In the next moment, the man crouched down in front of him, and the stench that emanated from him hit the beautiful warrior, who, in response, pulled a face. "We hate elves." Everything in Legolas froze. That didn't sound good at all and the Elf already guessed where it would end up. But he refused to show his concern.

"Well then," was the only answer he gave to the man, who probably did not like the fact that the prince remained so calm. "I will show you what pain is, and soon you will beg me to end your life."

The archer's heart contracted with fear, but Legolas' pride refused to show even a little fear or nervousness. Instead, he tried to make a disinterested expression on his face. "Good luck with that." An angry snort came from the man. "Not so cheeky, dirty elf."

The Mirkwood Elf twisted his eyes once more. That one could not just talk normally. "I will never beg!", hissed the prince. No one would make him beg for anything. Even if he lost his life, his pride and honor he would never lose, no matter what happened.

But the man seemed to see it differently because he grinned meanly and came even closer to the beautiful warrior to take a strand of the beautiful blond hair between his fingers. The archer wanted to turn his head away, but the still existing pain in his head prevented this.

The human grinned dirty. "You elves are truly beautiful creatures, but even that will not save you. We will take it from you, and trust me, little elf, you will beg me for death when I am finished with you." Legolas forced himself to look directly into the ugly brown eyes and not to let himself notice how much this statement worried him.

With a wicked grin, the human pushed the prince back so that his head hit hard against the wall and pain exploded in the head of the beautiful creature. Only with difficulty could the archer hold back a groan. "Until the next time," the man laughed, leaving the elf in the darkness.
