2 week later.

Merida sat on the floor next to her baby's crib in thought of the night that they took him while more thoughts came into her head. Hiccup was getting ready, readying his weapons and putting on his armor in the corner of their bedroom as he's always done since his son was taken. Everyday since he has done the same, up and early getting ready to go continue the search for his son. Toothless was there next to him ready when he said the word. Merida would already be awake, she couldn't sleep anyways, toothless would stay by her side every night. He felt her pain and would cuddle up with her to try to comfort her and to comfort himself as well because he also felt a piece of him missing. Merida would help hiccup get ready as she did too for the day but today was different. Hiccup looked over at her staring at Arkyn's crib

"Mer, he's coming back to you, to us." Merida tried to hold back her tears as she nodded.

She then began to speak "why would anyone do this hiccup?...he-he's just a baby." She turned to look at him and the tears won her over and she began to cry. Hiccup raced to her getting down at her level to hug her

"hey hey, it's okay, I know." Hiccup said as he hugged her tightly.

Merida cried harder and it killed hiccup, toothless came over to them with a sad look on his face too, worried for Arkyn and for Merida and then suddenly hiccups pain turned to rage.

"I'm gonna find him. I will find the person who did this and they will pay. 'Cause no one takes our son, no one. You and I bud will never stop looking"

(Falshback to 2 weeks ago)

Meanwhile in Carona Gothel had Drago build a tower hidden away. The day after the job to steal Arkyn, Gothel went to the tower to see if everything was set.

"Drago!?" She yell looking for him inside the tower.

"Your evilness" he answered on top of a stair case that led up to a room.

"The brat is there for you"

"good...did you feed him?" Gothel asked which made Drago burst out laughing

"last thing I need is to attend to the offspring of the one who nearly killed me and took all my dragons! No. you see, this is your job now I might have brought him here but there is not way I'm staying long enough to see the dragon king find his son and in the hands of...you haha maybe I will stick around and find out" Gothel just glared at him and went up to see Arkyn.

He was sleeping still until he moved a bit to reposition himself and it startled Gothel.

"Hehe don't worry he won't hurt ya...but his daddy will" Drago teased Gothel then walked out of the room.

Gothel suddenly had second thought but she knew she couldn't go back now. She needed to remember this child was also her blood and if she could stick to that she wouldn't be so terrified of him and to do that she needed to change him out of those Viking cloths. Gothel went to catch up to Drago before he left the tower and said,

"you won't be in charge of him but be my eyes and ears out there drago, 'cause if I go down you go down with me" Drago glared at Gothel and then left hoping that that day would never come.

(Present day)

It was early morning and Merida was gathering up a few last meals for the soldiers and hiccup to take on their once again journey in search for their child. She got to the camp where they were getting ready and she heard hiccup give one last speech before they left but it was a very odd one

"There's more out there, we just need to go further.." one of the soldiers replied to his sentence

"further?? My king we've already search all of Scotland, next thin ye know we're going to be going around the world" and hiccup replied back.

"Then we will ! We'll search the whole world if we have to! I'm not..." hiccup chocked up for a moment trying to hold back tears then pulled himself together

"I'm not...losing my son" and everyone became quiet and Hiccup walked away, Merida just stared as he kept walking then heard a voice behind her

"He's never going to lose hope as long as your son is out there...and he shouldn't because we're never going to either" said Astrid.

A few of the riders of berk had come to Scotland to help hiccup on the search.

Merida turned to look at Astrid with tears in her eyes and hugged her

"Thank yeu Astrid" Merida finally said then went to chase after her husband.

Hiccup was standing at the ledge of a cliff by Meridas castle looking out to the sunrise. Thinking. Trying to figure out and think of ways to get his son back when a voice pulled him out of his trance.

"Yeu okay..?" The voice said sweetly.

He turned around to see his lovely wife with a concern look on her face.

"Um yeah, yeah just enjoying the sunrise" he replied.

Merida went to his side and wrapped her hands around him to give him a hug although he tried to cover up his sadness Merida knew it was there but he was just trying to be strong for the both of them. She was a lot shorter than him, he just had to lift his chin a bit to be able to rest it on top of her. He returned her hug and gave her a kiss on her forehead. Merida then looked up at him

"So...you said 'further' as in new land?" She said as she gave him a mischievous smile.

And hiccup gave her a big smile back so happy and amazed how well his wife knew him.

"And mi'lady this is why I married you " he said and he reached to pull out a map from his pocket.

Merida giggled at what hiccup had said but then was blown away when hiccup opened his map. It was amazing,the map was made up of small sheets of paper but each of them had a piece of each place, like a puzzle. And every place was detailed and written down, the name, the directions to get there. Merida couldn't be live her eyes

"Hiccup... yeu did all this?"

"Yeah" hiccup said with a small giggle and a bit of cockiness.

"Toothless and I have been mapping every place we've gone, Scotland is on here too" he said as he pointed to it, Merida couldn't believe her eyes it was right there, well drawn.

Her beloved Scotland, the waterfalls were there too and the stream, everything, Merida was speechless and admired the map a little more.

"This is what helps you know where you've been and seen already" she said,

"yeah and what I haven't. The only thing I'm certain about is they didn't go far." He pointed at the map with his hand and Merida followed it.

"There areas are still places we have to search but there's too much land and this..." he pointed at an empty spot where the map ended and had not yet added a sheet of paper to.

"Here is where we go further..." Merida just looks up at hiccup with so much hope.

"He's out there Mer and I'm going to find him with or without a team, I'll find him" Hiccup said as he looked out into the distance holding on to that hope.
