7 years later.

"Mama look what I made!" The little boy showed Gothel a small airplane he designed out of popsicles sticks he had been saving.

Gothel didn't even pay any attention to a word he had said she just kept staring at a letter from the palace of Carona stating a new law

"hm? Oh yes very nice" Gothel said brushing him off.

The little boy's smile suddenly turned to a frown and then his eyes fell to looked at his air plane with sadness

"You never listen.." he whispered to himself.

Gothel noticed his reaction and put the paper aside and turned to him

"oh I'm sorry little one I just have a lot of my mind...speaking of toys, you won't need that" she said as she grabbed his airplane and threw it in the trash.

The little boy tried to reach out to gab it but missed

"I got you something better! TA-DA!" Gothel pulled out a stuffed bunny.

The little boy's smiled back again and hugged his new toy "Wow! For me ?! Thank you mama!"

He stared at the bunny with eyes full of happiness. He never got new toys, he only had 4 and the rest were his little inventions. He enjoyed making things but it was always great to get a new toy. Gothel just admire her little one

"Oh my little Arkyn, I just love to see that smile on your face" she said and she stroked his head with her hand.

"Now it's time for bed you have a lot to do tomorrow!" Gothel said eagerly.

Arkyn nodded and took his bunny with him up to his room slipping on his pajamas. And then slipping into bed, Gothel sat in a chair by his bed and read him a small story to help him go to sleep, as she did every night. After a while Arkyn finally closed his eyes and laid there, Gothel scanned him with her eyes, she still couldn't believe how scary similar he looked like his father with his Auburn brown hair that fell into place just like his father's and he even had his similar traits. Arkyn enjoyed building things just like Hiccup there was nothing he couldn't build. Gothel's blood boiled at the thought of that but she couldn't despise Arkyn because he also had so much character traits as his mother as-well. Always excited about life and stubborn most of all but super sweet and every-time she look at those big blue eyes Gothel saw more of Merida than hiccup. And that made her smile. She suddenly heard a soft voice

"Mama..." he called Gothel.

"Yes my little prince?"

"What was my dad like?" He said with a soft smile.

Gothel's face then became serious again and avoided the question.

"It's time to go to sleep now Arkyn. Goodnight my little one...Mama loves you" Arkyns smile faded then Gothel placed a gentle kiss on his head, then left, closing the curtains that were put instead of a door behind her.

Arkyn opened an eye to take a peak and see if Gothel had left and when he knew she was finally gone he quickly got out of bed dropping his new toy on the floor having no importance to it. He went quickly to a spot on the floor under a small mat where a loose tile was, which he used as a hiding spot for things that Gothel didn't let him have. And in that little hiding spot he took out a object that looked almost like a medal, wrapped in a cloth around it. It was round and real shinny with engravings of signs he did not know of but some how he felt that he knew. There was a dragon on it too that made him curious to know if they were really real but most importantly it had his name engraved in it which is how he knew it was probably a gift from his dad and seeing it made him realize his dad truly loved him no matter what happened to him because all he knew was that his father had died leaving him with his mother to raise him alone and that's all Gothel ever said. She never spoke about his father and always avoided anything that had to do with the question, almost as if she hated him but she would always say that she was sad that he was gone and that confused Arkyn so he, with that doubt, never dared to show her the medallion, eversince he found it hidden in her room. After grabbing his medallion he then quickly jumped back into bed hugging it as he did every night since he found it, he felt like he was closer to his father that way. He then whispered to it

"I don't know much about you but I hope you loved me as I love you, daddy."

If only he knew how much Hiccup really does love him that he didn't miss a day since he disappeared looking for him.
