45. Flurry of Kisses

She woke up to someone knocking on the door. She crawled out of bed, trying to brush her hair with her fingers so it wasn't standing up and finding a robe to cover her duck pajamas.

"I'm coming!" she called out as she ran for the door. The apartment was kind of dark and when she looked at her watch, it was five in the morning. Gritting her teeth and wondering who could be knocking at her door at this hour on a school day, she shuffled through the living room and opened the door. She was attacked by a flurry of kisses and she almost had a heart attack. She was about to punch the person who was kissing her when she smelled the familiar salty scent of the ocean.

"Good morning, my love," his said softly.

"Percy, what are you doing here so early?" she moaned, rubbing her eyes.

"Mom decided to take me and Nico to Montauk for a few days. She wants to spend time with Nico, and I knew you had a habit of not answering the phone, so I came to bid you a farewell in person," he said, doing a mock curtsey.

"Oh, when are you coming back?" Thalia asked, as she walked over to the couch and sat down with a yawn that almost dislocated her jaw. Percy slouched next to her.

"We come back Wednesday night. So, anyways, I was wondering if you wanted to go to the beach Saturday," he said, flicking her hair. Her mind was fuzzy, but she mumbled yes, though she wasn't completely sure what she was saying yes to.

"Great! I'll pick you up at nine in the morning!" Thalia nodded with her eyes closed. Chuckling, he leaned in and gave her one more kiss before he left for the week.

"Be good in school," he said and Thalia had enough energy to flip him the bird.

"Ditto," he said as he walked out the door. Thalia collapsed and went back to sleeping only to wake up about twenty minutes later to get ready for school. She got dressed and headed out the door. As she walked, she faintly remembered a visit from a certain someone.

"Now, why do I feel like I said something I'm going to regret," she mumbled, as she scratched her head. All she could remember was his kisses, but that was about it. She shrugged. She tried to remember what he told her when she finally remembered something about Montauk. Right, he was gone for the week. She rolled her eyes. Didn't boyfriends just call?

She finally got to her school to see a girl taping down a small poster to one of the doors. Thalia slowed down to see what it was about. Talent Show; Show us what you've got on April 17th at 6:00 PM! Sign-up sheets available in the Main Office; Submit them to Mrs. Quelatish in room 106.

Thalia bit her lip. She suddenly remembered the last time she had ever sung in front of people was at the Talent Show in first grade. It wasn't a pleasant memory and she shook her head as if to shake out the memories. But she couldn't help but wonder if she should try again. Could she do it? No. She gave up singing a long time ago. She was opening the door when the girl tapped her shoulder.

"Here," she said, handing Thalia a flier for the Talent Show.

"Um, thanks," Thalia mumbled as she walked through the door, shoving the now crumpled up paper into the side of her backpack. Yeah, like she was going to participate in that.

GUYS! I'M BACK! Okay, first off, I want to apologize for the last two horrendous chapters. They did not come out the way I had hoped they would, so I'm sorry. Second, I'm sorry for pretty much falling off the face of the Earth. I lost all inspiration for this story and then I got stuck with a lot of stuff like college. NOW, I know this chapter is very, very short, but it's short because I'm getting back into the swing of this story. The next chapters should be longer.
THIS IS IMPORTANT:
I have a poll open on my profile that I need you guys to vote on. The poll is for a song Thalia will be singing at some point, but I will not reveal when or how so it stays as a surprise. SO GO AND VOTE! It'll be open until I get to that point, and I will announce when I will be closing the poll, so as long as you don't see that announcement at the end of a chapter, it's still open.
