I decide to post the chapters onto my DeviantArt page. My username is the same; SoulKiller13

He didn't know who he was, he didn't know where he was from. But the only thing he could remember before the green mist was that back when he was a child, people would poke fun at him for his weight. Thus he was dubbed Fatso. Which was pretty self-explanatory given he controlled a morbidly obese person. So obese that no amount of attack can damage his body. One time, when a teen tried to hit him with a blunt object it just absorbed the impact. But not just that, because of this feat that he can consume a large number of children than any other adults, giving him power over all adults. He consumed so much that he was pretty much the alpha male. He could command an adult without moving a finger.
He sat on his throne which used to be a large sofa chair in the middle of Royal Woods High School's football field. Adults all over have gathered bodies either alive or dead. Gas, propane tanks, and all sorts of flammable materials were all piled up nearby. He and his men have been preparing a cookout; a barbecue bigger than any barbecue before. When the fire is lit, it will be so big it is more visible in the sky than the great wall of china.
He looked to his left and saw cars stacked on top of each other. All are held in locked cars that have been moved closer to the fields. Kids inside all watched as adults dragged bodies with teary eyes and dirt-blood stained windows. Fatso smiled and licked his lips at the thought of chopping them down after roasting them. He preferred them to be alive while getting roasted. This was going to be some barbecue, he couldn't wait. If any adults wanna join in on the party, they better have kids intact. Which he ordered some of his men to scout around the area and find some.
In an attempt to distract himself, he ordered his four mistresses to come towards him. All of whom were girls about 17-18 and blonde he turned his head to one of the mistresses; a girl with a light blue tank top and brown cargo shorts. The girl in question raised her head and he pointed at his crotch. The girl knelt and removed his sweatpants and began working. His head faced the sky with an open mouth.
This was nice.
As far as the person before him was concerned, the green mist was the best thing that had ever happened to him.
Two Days Later
June 28, 6:00 AM
Duke sat in the auditorium. Wide awake. The warm reddish glow of the candle around the room gave Duke a feeling of unease. He was still trying to process what had happened the previous day. Dozens of the newcomers who named themselves The Colts were sleeping across the seats, some were sleeping on the floor.
Duke never cared about what Lucy had done he other things to worry about. One of them revolves around a teen with round glasses and talks about religious stuff.
Duke had a particularly strange feeling surrounding Zeke. He's been very quiet among the rest.
He initially was very ecstatic at the thought of someone passing the age of 16 and still very normal among the rest. He now might have some use for Lisa after all. Before, he saw Lisa as nothing more than useless as he thought she might have some knowledge of making a cure. But unfortunately, she didn't cause she "didn't understand it" Bullshit, you Lisa Loud, you have more IQ than fucking Einstein you should know this. But, now that Zeke was here, she might actually do something useful for once and find a cure from him. Get a blood sample or something.
But as time went on, he had this very suspicious feeling about Zeke that he just can't put a finger on. He had this strange fascination around Lisa. He's been always visiting her every hour, acting strange.
You don't think he's...
No, that would be messed up even for someone like him.
Ever since they were young, Zeke was always the oddball. Always reading the bible on the back. No one had the guts to talk to him. Except for that one guy Shade. He hangs out with him more than the others.
Duke shook his head, opting to shift his focus on the loud siblings. He was still amazed by how many they were. He found out when he was partnered up with Luna in an egg project. He was asked to go to her house to take care of their egg baby.
He looked at his spear with a sad and disappointed glare. He wasn't happy with dealing with the attack on the school and being mostly Joey and the others with the former quickly sprang into action. He hoped no one will judge him for being too cowardly. Since the world ended- or green mist as that Lincoln kid mentioned. Duke had been lying about his heroics, telling everyone it was him, Stan, Joey, and Jake when it was actually the latter three and not him. He just jabbed a few adults like a kid poking his food. While he knew he was just a leader and leaders don't need to do anything, he kinda felt like he needed to do more.
When he was certain no one was looking around. He dug his pocket to reveal a picture of a younger him and a little girl holding hands smiling. Suddenly, a memory he had been trying to suppress for years came back to bite him. It was a cold night. He and his sister had just got out of the arcade and... No. There was nothing but pain, misery, sorrow, and absolute hopelessness that happend that night. He never told this except Stan and Joey and he would never tell it to anyone.
He hid the photo back in his pockets.
6:45 AM
Luna got up with a yawn. Sander had just lit the last candle and soon many of the kids began to wake up. As they did so, most didn't wanna look at her or her siblings. Their minds were still fresh from what happend in the school. She shifted her eye towards her younger siblings who were beginning to wake up with bloodshot eyes.
Right now, they weren't doing good.
Lana was the first to get up followed by Lola who was holding Lily. Lynn was nowhere to be seen, probably left earlier to start preparing for a game in the other room.
She and the colts decided to cheer everyone with a game of basketball and almost everyone wanted to watch. She might try and find her soon.
Luan got up next. Then she looked at Lucy who just saw up and didn't do anything.
Duke had explained to them what happened to the school while they were away. Lucy accidentally let out the greens, how they all fought all of them. Naturally, they were very upset at Lucy but they weren't too angry as she didn't know greens were hiding in the basement. Then she looked at Lincoln, who was carrying Lily by his arms. She was told that Lincoln and Lily were one of the few who were on the bleachers while the adults surround them. Throughout the entire day, Clyde had been trying to cheer Lincoln up from the events he just endured. He made some progress but most of the time Lincoln would not respond and would just be with himself, not even their sister had any help at least they did their best.
Sam and Benny were the only ones who sat near them, especially the latter who came here for Luan. But due to Luan's dejected and depressed attitude, Benny felt despondent than he was in middle school, he had no one, he had hoped that when he finally saw Luan he would light his spirits up but see her this sad made him sad as well. He hoped to try everything he could do to cheer Luan up cause this is not the Luan he fell in love with.
Stan felt angry out of all of them. He reprimanded the loud siblings, telling them it was Lucy's fault. They shut him off that she didn't know they were adults there but Stan to them they still should not have come to a room not meant to go inside. Before any conflicts would arise. Sally came and stop him, she explains that it wasn't Lucy's fault and that she gave her the idea of going into the basement. She also said Sasha had warned them of the dangers and they didn't listen. She was explaining with so much emotion that he ended up hyperventilating. Stan sighed before giving off a glare to the loud siblings. Telling them they're not done yet.
She looked around and Lisa was nowhere to be seen. Then she remembered, she was back in the lab, possibly with Zeke. Two days since bringing Zeke into the school. He had been in the science lab with Lisa for quite some time. This was the first time Lisa had been happy going to the lab. Like the colour previously drained from her, now return brighter than ever.
Sam went up to her and gave a kiss on her cheeks.
"Hey, Luna wanna go around and for a tour of the school?"
"What about Simon will be alright alone?"
"He's under that Trinity girl she seems nice," Sam pointed at Simon with the other kids.
"Okay, but I wanna go to the science lab first, gotta check on Lisa,"
"Is Lisa still with that Zeke guy?" Sam asked. "I know he's important but, ain't a little freaky?"
Sam wasn't wrong. While she was glad to see her little sister have a true goal and motive. Even when she told everyone about Zeke, they all applauded claiming him to be their saviour of the world. However, she noticed Zeke has been increasingly strange. She keeps a small eye on them from time to time. Mary too had been visiting Zeke in the lab. That's why she had been watching the two in case something bad ever happens. As far as she knew, Zeke couldn't be trusted even if he was their so-called saviour. Luna got up but not before telling Lincoln to watch over for the younger sisters to which he nodded.
The two walked out of the doors and speak of the devil, they saw Zeke walking down to where they were going. Luna looked at Sam and they both nodded. They decide to follow him.
Zeke walked towards the science lab, ignoring all the weird faces he was given by all the other teens. They didn't matter to him. All that matters is to achieve his goal and be done with it. He had his clawed hammer in his back pocket ready. He opened the door seeing the young prodigy write down some notes on a paper.
"Ah, please come in and take a seat, I have some important thing to discuss," Lisa pointed to the chair next to the table.
"I hope I wasn't bothering you on whatever you were doing,"
"Nonsense, that is what I'm going to discuss with you," Lisa said. "Now ever since you came here 2 days ago, I had a much more clear understanding of the so-called green mist and how it affects people. There Is something about you that just stands out the rest..."
Then the door opened once more and Sam and Luna came. They asked them if she was okay and replied with yes and that she was just about to explain to Zeke about his condition.
"Zeke, can I talk to you for a sec?" Luna told him to which the latter nodded, they walked into the corner of the room. "Listen, I know you are important to Lisa right now but I want to tell you, don't do anything to my sister got that?"
Zeke stared at her with silence. "I promise,"
"Good," They went back to Lisa. "Alright will be going now,"
"Bye," Zeke waved and the two departed.
"Now then, where was I? Oh right. Zeke, you are aware that the green mist only affects those who are 16 years of age or older? And yet somehow you weren't affected by said mist and you were the assumed age. Well, I believe that to be infected you have to be an adult for at least 24 hours. How do I know this? The human body needs a whole day for it to be fully developed and mature. Since you were only said adult for approximately 15 hours, the infection was incomplete therefore you were uninfected, If it happend much later then I wouldn't be explaining this to you,"
"So I'm special?"
"Or just ridiculously lucky whichever the case," Lisa explained. "So, if this is correct, then there could be more teenagers out there who have the same kind of luck,"
Zeke nodded, though it did still sound amazing that he was able to cheat death by being so lucky.
"With you, there is a chance for humanity to survive, before you arrive we were all convinced that as soon as we hit the dreaded age, we would all become like them, but that's not all, with you, I might finally be able to create a cure for these adults and save everyone I can,"
"That's good to know, but I have a question," Zeke stopped then continued
"Yes, but this virus is so foreign, so alien it is beyond my reach,"
"Then I realise my problem, I was studying on infected adults, I need someone who was infected but at the same time, not. What I am saying is that I need a person who is over the age of 16 and still retains the same basic human function. I knew it was highly impossible and had doubts that Luna would be able to find one..."
"Then she found me,"
"Indeed, you are so far the only being 16 and still human,"
"With you, I could try and finally obtain a cure but with the world, in its current state, it would take roughly 5 years for me to complete it. When I could usually make one in a few days," Lisa adjusted her glasses. "But during that time I can learn more and could speed things up,"
"So you can even save the adults as well?"
"That is if these adults are still fresh, and believe me I want to cure my oldest sisters and my parents very quick but by this point their long-dead or at large, If I can't save the adults from this virus, I can at least save those who remain. It's a sad fact I know but It's what we got,"
While Lisa was busy talking, the voice in Zeke's head grew louder.
Kill her! Kill her now!
Zeke swallowed a lump. Okay, kill her and escape where no one is around. He tilted his head slightly and gave a cold emotionless stare at the young prodigy.
"Can I be excused for a minute? I have to go and pee,"
"Be quick," Zeke nodded, he walked down the hall. The voices in Zeke's head emerge once more.
What are you doing, you idiot?
It'll be for a moment.
You said that three times fucking times already!
"It will be one quick stop," Zeke unintentionally spoke aloud. He looked around and thankfully no one was there and immediately went into the bathroom.
Kill them all, I'm going to kill them all. Was everything Lana could think off. She asked Marco for help but he refused. Her older siblings assumed she was just venting. What they didn't know was that she had been conspiring with several children and sneaking out to kill Grease Monkey and whatever adult stood in their way.
She had previously convinced Tom the boy scout to help her craft a bow when she told him she wanted to kill an adult. Tom refused, telling her it was far too dangerous to go out there and that she was still too young. He also reminded her of the events that began, not wanting to have another bloodbath. Whatever, I didn't need his help anyway. She instead decides to sneak out with a few kids and kill Grease Monkey. She just needs a distraction. She could get Lola to convince her loyal subjects as she called them to help her with her mission She clutched her wrench tightly. She imagined a scenario where she used the wrench to beat Grease Monkey to death and she would have the last laugh.
Clyde and Chloe walked up to Lincoln for a talk. "Hey, Lincoln," Clyde spoke up.
"Hi, Clyde," The loud responded rather quietly. "What's up?"
"How are you feeling today?"
Lincoln just replied with a grunt "Eh,"
"Lisa has been studying carefully with Zeke, can you believe that he was 16? That means there is still a chance for us in this world,"
"Yeah, I guess,"
"Still thinking about what happened two days ago?" Lincoln didn't respond, just a small meh.
"Come one man, it's alright you don't have to keep thinking about it,"
"It's not that easy, Clyde. I almost would have died back there, Lily almost died right there. I didn't wanna die, and judging from the state wherein, I just fear this won't be the last time," Lincoln shivered. Clyde sat closer to the white-haired boy.
"I know Lincoln, I was scared too, I was freaking out when I found that you were one of the kids trapped there. But you don't have to worry anymore, cause we're here for you," Clyde gave a soft smile.
They looked and saw it was Chloe's turn to speak up. "Lincoln, I may not know you as much as Clyde but I know you are a strong-minded kid. Hey, I was with you during that incident and it scared me as well, but I learn to just keep going. Like you should,"
"Just be glad that you are alive, don't forget that,"
Lincoln stared with surprise. He nodded and stood up. "Thank you,"
"Don't mention it," The two responded with a smile.
"Just one small step," Clyde told him.
"One small step,"
"I'm going to check on Lynn in the other room, could you guys watch over Lucy and the others?"
"Of course!"
There was nothing better for Lucy than just sitting in the middle of the bleachers and not talking to anyone. She came here ever since what happened yesterday. Tears formed from her eyes. Once again she was back to being the dark and gloomy girl but this more depressed than ever. She let the tears flow. The world was always a fucked up place but now it was worse. She looked at her sisters nearby then back to the floor. They don't deserve someone like me, they deserve better. "Maybe I should just end it all," Yeah, so that they wouldn't have a problem with me anymore. She got up before stopping, she saw that Trinity was guarding the door so that no kids would go out. Then there were also the older kids who were chatting among themselves while some were in the auditorium. Then there's Clyde who he and that Chloe girl were keeping an eye on them.
It was going to be difficult but soon saw a vent nearby which was good now she needed a distraction. That's when she saw a little boy with orange hair and freckles. Rocky Spokes, Rusty's little brother. Once upon a time, she had a crush on him before the green mist but it had been months since they last spoke so he would be perfect. Then she saw Sally sitting by herself. Sasha was an option but she knew that girl was a lot smarter than most kids so she moved on. Now having two people in mind she began to act.
She walked up to Rocky who was reading an Ace Savvy comic book. "Hello, Rocky,"
Rocky, hitherto, was immersed with the comic quickly jumped upon his name being called then blush slightly on who called him. "Oh, hey Lucy what's up?"
"Nothing much," Lucy placed her hands behind her back and lifted a foot and supported it with a tip of her shoes, gesturing that she was interested in him. The truth was she was always interested in him, It's just that she had forgotten about him since the green mist. She was glad she was able to meet him. "I just need you to do me a quick favour,"
"Sure," Rocky said excitedly and closed his book, and stood up. "Whaddaya need?"
"See those two?" She points at Clyde and Chloe. "Can you distract them for a bit? Especially the boy,"
"Uh, why?"
Lucy tried to come up with excuses that doesn't involve killing herself. "Just wanted to go to the room and get some fresh air, you know how smelly this place is,"
Rocky simply nodded in understanding. This place does smell like shit, anyone would go out for a breather. Once she was done with Rocky, she next moved to Sally.
"Lucy?" Sally looked up and saw the goth girl standing next to her. "How are you doing?"
Oh, Sally. So sweet and innocent. I'm sorry for what I'm about to do, but you know what? I may have given you a favour. At least you won't have a problem to deal with. "Hey, Sally you see Trinity over there? I want you to distract her,"
"Huh, why?"
"Please?"
"Okay, what do you want me to do?"
"Make a scene, fake cry if you will,"
"But I don't know how?"
"Uh, think about bad things like your nightmares,"
"Hmm, okay I can do that,"
Lucy's plan finally set into motion. Rocky was first and he walked up to the two. "Hey, Clyde was it?"
"Yeah, how's it going Rocky?" Clyde ask.
"I just wanna ask you about something, I heard you used to have a crush on Lucy's oldest sister Lori is that correct?"
Clyde fell silent and his features darkened. Lori Loud. He hasn't heard of that name in a while. He used to have an intense crush on Lori before the mist, how he would send her loads of gifts and love letters every day. Of course, he realized it was creepy and she already had a boyfriend so he stopped crushing on her.
Clyde took a deep breath. "I was, but that so long ago, I've moved on,"
"But you used to write poems for her quite a lot and if you can teach me how to write one for Lucy,"
"Well, I- uh"
"Sure, he can do it," Chloe giggled. She knew of Clyde's infatuation with Lori but she knew as well that he changed. She still playfully tease him for it.
Now it was Sally's turn. She walked up to Trinity thinking about all the bad things Lucy told her to think of. Ranging from the monster in her closet, being alone, and her brother dying in front of her. That last thought was what made her cry. She didn't want her brother to die, anyone but him. It scared her. This caught Trinity's attention.
"Oh, sweety what's the matter?" Trinity knelt to the girl's level.
"I'm scared!" Sally cried. Trinity hugged her and gave her words of reassurance.
Now it was Lucy's chance to get out. Seeing Lana and Lola were talking to a few kids and Luna, Luan and Lincoln were out. This allowed Lucy to escape through the vents, unscrewing everything before jumping inside.
"I'm sorry everyone,"
Little did Lucy know, someone was indeed watching her.
Stan walked down the hall with a bag of food in his hands, nothing much other than a bag of chips, cookies, and all sorts of snacks. As well as a bottle of water. He went inside the auditorium where a few teens had just gotten out. Most of them were the colts or random kids. He ignored some of the snarky comments about his food; asking if he should share. He was saving this for a certain someone.
Looking around the room he spotted a familiar dark-blonde-haired girl. He walked down and approach her who was talking to a little boy.
"Oh hey, Stan,"
"Hey, Mary I got some food for you and your brother,"
"Oh, thank you," Mary said and grabbed the food and water, giving some for her brother before looking at Stan. "How about you?"
"Nah, I already ate," Stan replied as he just stared at the floor while she ate. Apart from the talking around the auditorium, everything between them was quiet and rather awkward. Sensing the awkwardness over them. Mary quickly decided to strike up a conversation. While Matt was not looking, she inches closer to Stan's ears.
"Did you know that Matt is a huge fan of some influencer named MedalLion?"
"Isn't that guy SwiftyPic? He's kind of a dick,"
"Yeah, Matt keeps talking to him nonstop and would blindly support everything he says,"
"That's funny," Stan smile. For a while, Stan feels happy when Mary was around him, it made him special. Stan came here for different reasons, not only did he come here for this sweet gentle girl named Mary, but he also came here for a personal reason. And so far they have not arrived here yet. They were still in the other room playing basketball with some of the Colts. He swears when they come back...
"You're not thinking about them," Stan jolted slightly and saw Mary with furrowed brows and with a bit of disappointment on her face. "Stan, whatever you're going to do, don't hurt them please," She grabbed his hands and caressed them softly. Stan sighed.
"I know, but believe me I don't wanna try and do something to them, for you,"
Mary didn't look too convinced but nodded either way. Stan decided to walk up to the loud sisters. He still had unfinished business with them.
"Tag you're it!"
"No, you're it!"
A few kids were playing a game of tag as part of Lana's plan to distract the older kids. Clyde was still talking to Rocky while Trinity had calmed Sally down and sat her next to her. When Lana was it she then tagged one of the kids. He ran up to Trinity and poked her.
"Tag you're it!"
"I'm not playing silly goose," Trinity spoke with a warm soft smile.
"Tag!" He poked her again.
"I'm sorry Cody but I can't play, I'm still trying to cheer Sally up,"
Cody poked her one more time before he and a few other kids ran outside the gym.
"Hey wait!" Trinity called after them and began to chase them before stopping and turned to Clyde and Chloe and asked them to watch over the kids, to which they said yes.
That takes care of Trinity, now she had to deal with Clyde and Chloe next. Thinking of what to do, she spotted Lily who had that certain look on her face.
That face.
She knew what it is. It happens whenever Lily was going to do something everyone in the whole family dreads more than anything. Carefully ran up to them and grabbed Lily without the two notices, Lana held Lily by her hands, and as if on cue, Lily farted followed by some gross slouching. Lana shivered in disgust. It was the only thing that grossed her more than trash, mud, insects, or boogers. Lily pooping. Lana cursed at the green mist for not destroying the world as soon as Lily knew how to potty train.
As the other kids held their noses, Lana went to her backpack and grabbed a fishing rod. Tied Lily's diapers into the hook and aimed it towards the African-American boy. Lana knew this was a terrible thing to do to his brother's best friend. But she knew she had to get Clyde away somehow. She bent her arms held the fishing line back pressing a button on said line and said the diaper flying onto Clyde; showering the kid in feces.
"AH, GROSS!" Clyde screamed in horror, panic, and nausea.
Rocky and Chloe took a step back in disgust.
"Fucking hell what is this!?" Clyde cried before he shot up and ran towards the bathroom quickly to not puke on the gym. Rocky ran away from the gym while Chloe chased after him albeit covering her nose by the front of her shit. Sally watched the whole thing play out. She then saw someone coming up towards her. "Oh, hey-oh!" She was cut off when the girl grabbed her arm and lead her to the corner of the auditorium.
Lana looked on in absolute regret, she didn't want that to happen, Clyde was like the twelfth member of their family. Despite being scared of heights; Clyde proved to be brave when he joined Lincoln in finding them in the school and saving them from the adults. But she didn't have a choice.
Grease Monkey is a torn that needs to be cut down. She looked around to find no one else in the room, Lucy wasn't there. Probably hiding in the vent, and the others were in the other room watching Lynn and the colt playing basketball it was their chance. They quickly rushed out from the gym and reached a set of locked doors to where Grease Monkey was last spotted. She went for her toolbelt for a lock pick. According to one of the kids, Grease Monkey was spotted outside and still holding her pets and that filled her hot rage.
Her siblings will be livid upon finding out what she did. Even keeping her under their watch for the rest of her life for all she knew, but once she will kill Grease Monkey, it will be all worth it in the end.
"Is everyone ready?" Lana asked her group; which consist of the kids she and Timmy recruited; Lola who only joined out of fear for Lana and many more. They all nodded excitedly except Lola who shook. Lana saw this. "Hey, It's gonna be alright, your loyal subjects will protect you,"
That didn't make Lola feel better but there was no way she was going to let Lana do this by herself. Lana finally got the lock open and the chains fell to the floor and were greeted by the sunlight.
"Let's roll," Taking out her wrench, she decided to leave her bag next to the door. It's not like they will be gone that long. They stepped out of the school and looked around the field.
"There!" A kid shouted.
Sure enough, a tall greasy-haired adult appeared with a few adults standing behind him. Grease Monkey.
Lana tightened her grip on the wrench as Grease leered at them. She was not at all intimidated by him and quickly rushed the adults with lightning speed, this prompt the other kids to follow.
Grease looked like he was taken aback by all these many kids which were around 25 and quickly ran away along with many of the adults.
"Where are you going!?" Lana screamed after him as they chased him towards the streets. Lola screamed at her twin to slow down as she and the other kids weren't catching up but the pounding in Lana's head was too loud for her to hear anything. As they charged, they ran further and further away from the elementary school. Some kids began to grow fearful and retreated.
"Cowards!" Timmy screamed at them. Lana didn't hear them, too focused on Grease Monkey. Plus, she didn't care how many kids deserted her, all she wanted is Grease Monkey dead.
Before she knew it, they were now hundreds of yards away from the school.
"Lana, stop this is not worth it!" Lola screamed at her.
Lana angrily turns to her twin. Her face contorted to a look of anger and irritation. "Fine leave! I don't need you! I don't need anyone! I can kill him all by myself!" Lola and the other kids were taken aback by Lana's sudden outburst. Lola looked as though she was about to cry. The rage in Lana suddenly dissipated and was replaced by worry and regret but it was only for a while as she still had a job to be done. She slowly looked back and saw Grease Monkey who stopped running and began to stare at them intently.
Got tired of running, didn't you? Lana thought as she marched on to him until they were inches away from each other. Now Lana felt intimidated as now she got a better view of his size but she removed those thoughts. "You're going to pay for what you did to my pets!"
Grease Monkey remained where he stands.
"Yeah, that's right just stand there, it would make my job much earlier,"
As Lana examined him, she noticed that he had a very unnerving and rotten grin drawn on his face. "Yeah just keep smiling, but I will be the last one who will smile when I-"
Lola suddenly screamed.
Lana turned around then back at Grease Monkey and saw something from the corner of her eyes that made her heart sink to her stomach. All around her were houses, and in those houses; Dozens of adults then emerge from doors, windows, garage, and cars. Adults far too many for Lana to count.
Lana was hit with a rush of fear and panic. Suddenly her stubborn and tough attitude vanish almost instantly and she was nothing more than a scared little girl that need her mommy to save her. She looked at her wrench then back to Lola who was now crying in fear, then a question popped out from her that ran through her mind for a while now and has now come back.
What was I thinking?
Useless, everything was useless. Lucy vented everything that she thought meant nothing in this world. Her poetry journal, her bust of Edwin, her books or death, her coffin to sleep in, and her knowledge of death.
Useless!
Lori's cellphone and golf clubs, Leni's clothes, and beauty product, Luna's guitar and instruments, Luan's gag's, jokes and props, Lynn's sports gear and trophies, Lincoln's video games, comics, and coin collections, Lana's reptiles, tools and whatever gross things that she owned, Lola's pageant gowns, crowns, and beauty product, Lisa's studies, experiments and creations, and Lily's blanket and stuff animals.
All of it was useless. It was like Money, they seem valuable at first but once the whole system collapse it is deemed obsolete. Nothing was going to get them out of this situation. Nothing! Even if Lisa was able to find a cure from that Zeke guy, it wouldn't change how the world works. So what's the point of going on? Just killing herself would just take those pain away. Like stabbing yourself or hanging yourself or jumping off a bridge. Which is exactly what Lucy was about to do.
She crawled the vent faster than before. She never knew how narrow the place was, it almost made her claustrophobic. Quickly taking out her screwdriver and unscrewing a nearby vent cover, opened it and found she was in a hallway. Her head spun and so was the walls. If it weren't for her sisters, would she have been knowns by everyone? Should they notice that she disappeared? Would Rocky and Sasha ever have noticed her if she didn't go up and talk to them? If they were gone, who else was left?
No one.
Running through a flight of stairs, opened a door and she was now on the roof of the school. The cold air blew through Lucy making her shiver. She walked towards the concrete wall and looked down, the ground and the place where she stood looked much higher than she expected. Good, now she would die quicker. Talking a good look back at the sun, she held one last breath before exhaling.
Goodbye world.
Then she jumped.
Then she jumped.
Then she jumped...
What's wrong? Lucy noticed her whole body frozen at her state. She then felt a new sensation. Fear. Fear of death. Was she really going to do this? Her thought quickly disappeared when she heard a voice coming from behind her.
"Lucy?" The goth girl turned to see Sasha staring at her with a confused expression. But not just her, on her right stood Sally. "What are you doing?"
"Uh, the breeze was so nice I wanted to take a closer look, why?" Lucy responded sheepishly.
"It doesn't look like it,"
"Believe me I am,"
"Well then why did you tell Sally to cry so that you can leave?"
"Sally?"
"She made me do it and I had to,"
"Lucy...are you trying to kill yourself?"
Lucy tried to come up with different reasons for coming here but they didn't sound believable, and the fact that the girls would not have beliven her either way. Crestfallen in defeat, she nodded.
"Stan might hate you and I hate it when Stan hates someone," Said Sally.
"Don't beat yourself up Lucy," Sasha assured her.
"But what's the point? Life is pointless, every day we all suffer so what's the point of going on if we're all going to die anyway?"
"Lucy, you're scaring Sally,"
"N-No! I can take it,"
"Lucy, we've been friends since the literature club and I've seen you hating about life but what about your siblings, they're not gonna be happy when you're gone. I know you blame yourself for the actions but...I don't know just," Sasha
"Live Lucy, If you don't want to live for yourself, at least live for them," Sally finally said. "For us,"
"Yeah,"
Lucy stood there with mouth agape she looked at the ground beneath her then back to the two girls.
Sigh. What was I thinking? Was I really going to just kill myself? The attack on the school left Lucy in deep despair and didn't want to live at that moment. She did want to live. She thought of the pain she and her siblings felt upon finding out Lori and Leni died, as well as her parents. She would not let that pain inflict it onto them for killing herself.
She took a step backward from the concrete wall and took a deep breath and closed her eyes and imagined something she never thought would imagine; imagining a world where everyone was smiling and cheery overall everything was happy related filled with joy and life. She looked back at the two with a small smile.
"Yeah, I wanna live," Lucy said then proclaimed. "I will live,"
They smiled and gave a group hug. After a minute of hugging, Lucy saw from the corner of her eyes something moving below the ground. Lucy broke the hug to see what it was. It was adults. That made her blood boil. Oh, I want to live alright. Live to see these fuckers dead. But that's when she saw something else. Something bad.
Kids.
No, it can't be. Kids who are younger than her. But that wasn't the only worse part. Lana was there, followed by Lola.
"What the hell?!" Lucy shouted.
"What is it?" Sally asked before she too saw what was unfolding so was Sasha. They all ran downstairs and into a nearby door where it was easier to go outside. There was no time for her to get her older siblings. This was up to her.
"Great now I smell like shit," Clyde groaned washing furiously while Chloe grabbed as much toilet paper as she can. Rocky opened the door to take a look asking him if he was alright.
"I feel shit," Clyde half-joked. Rocky tried his best not to laugh. That's when he saw Lucy and another kid running down the hall and into an open door. Confused, he ran up towards the door and saw that she was running down the streets as if she was following something. His eyes squint and his heart sank when this something was in fact, someone. Hesitant and without any much thought process, Rocky ran out the door
Trinity walked down the hall escorting Cody and a few other kids who had run out of the gym and back.
"I can't believe you kids just did that, you really should know better," The tall girl spoke with such stern in her voice. When they return to the gym, her heart skipped a beat when she saw that no one occupied the room.
"What the?! Where is everyone!?" She screamed in horror as she looked around frantically. Cody and the rest of the kids looked around, quietly hoping this was just a prank pulled by the other kids but no one came...
Just then, Clyde and Chloe had just come out of the bathroom looking equally confused as them. Trinity hurried over them. "Where are they!?"
"Who!?" Clyde asked with fear seeping into his voice.
"THE KIDS WHERE ARE THEY!?"
"They're gone..." They turned to see one of the four kids; Simon Sharp. "Lana persuade everyone to go outside and kill Grease Monkey,"
Trinity's face went pale and quickly shot up and pointed towards Clyde and Chloe. "You two, go tell the other's in the auditorium, I'll go after the kids,"
"By yourself!?" Chloe asked in shock.
"Yes by myself!" She then points at the four kids. "You follow them, now!" The teen's voice was so urgent that the kids were told without a question. Now they begin to wonder if they had done the right thing by helping Lana by distracting Trinity.
As they all ran out, Trinity went over to where she normally sleeps and dug around through her back pocket until she found a large Bowie knife. Yeah, this will do. She then headed to the opposite end of the room. She's not going to let kids die.
Luna, Luan, Lynn and Lincoln a long with a few other kids went inside the auditorium after a long game of basketball. Lynn had a cocky smirk taped on her face while her older sisters looked annoyed.
"You really shouldn't gloat in front of those Colts Lynn," Luna deadpanned at Lynn who scoffed.
"Hey, they had It coming when I threw the ball at the last second," Lynn told her. Since the Gymnasium was packed with kids, they instead moved the hoops to another smaller room. There, Lynn would train and play basketball. Ever since the colts came here, she knew it was competition as Ethan his friend were good players luckily she was better and scored one point ahead. Though, she did admit that she wouldn't have won had it not been for Cooper tackling one of the colts to distract them.
As Lynn was busy with her thoughts, the loud sisters then bumped into Stan. He sported a very serious look on his face. Luna and the other sisters knew what that face was, it was the same face he made when he found out what happened to the school two days ago.
"I wasn't finished with what I said earlier," Stan spoke in a near-threatening tone.
"Stan, please this is not a very appropriate time," Mary told him.
"Actually," They turned to find Lynn marching down at the teen. Despite being much taller than her, she wasn't intimidated at the slightest. "Let's talk,"
"Sure thing, you don't teach any sort of discipline to your sisters huh? Who do you think you are? If you hadn't kept an eye on your goth sister maybe none of this would have happened," Stan yelled.
"Hey, Lucy didn't do know those things were there, for all she knew, it might have just been a ghost or so she believes," Lynn yelled. "Also didn't your sister was partly to blame as well maybe you should explain that!"
"Don't put that shit in front of me, my sister almost died,"
"Guys, please stop!" Luan told them.
"Or what? Gonna fight back? Not a chance," Stan bluntly told him making Luan step back.
"Hey watch it!" Benny intervened.
"Might wanna take that back!" Lynn poked his chest.
The whole group continued to argue at each other, it soon began to get really heated when Lynn ended up shoving Stan away, making him lose his balance but not enough to fall. Luna and Luan screamed at their sister but she ignored her.
"Oh, so it's gonna be like that is it?" Stan whispered in a threatening tone. He ran towards Lynn and violently shoved the girl away, this time she was the one who landed on her butt. Now full of rage, Lynn screamed and charged at Stan.
Soon, fist began to get involved when Lynn smacked Stan in the gut making him lose balance but regain very quickly. Mary, Luna, and Luan screamed for the two to stop fighting. Joey tried to tackle Lynn but to his surprise, she shoved him away. Duke just stood there, confused at what had just transpired. Stan stood up with an angry tone on his face. He had been waiting for this moment since the day they left Jeremy in the church to die. He imagined plunging a spear into Lynn and killing him, grabbing his spear he moved forward to the girl.
Seeing what he was about to do, Lynn grabbed her machete, this was a battle of the death and she was going to wi-
The doors of the auditorium opened and suddenly two kids emerged aling with 4 other kids.
The loud sisters recognised them as Clyde and Chloe.
"Clyde?" Lincoln asked.
Duke couldn't remember their name but she was running down the aisle. Screaming on the top of thier lungs.
"What's wrong?" Duke shouted.
They just babbling incoherent nonsense.
"Calm down and tell us what's wrong?" Duke calmly told her.
"The kids!" Clyde cried. "The kids on the gym!"
"What about them?"
"They're are gone!" Chloe shouted.
"WHAT!?" Duke cried in disbelief, pretty soon everyone across the auditorium huddled around the girl. She explained to them that Lana convinced every kid she could find and follow her on a quest against Grease Monkey.
"All of them?"
"YES ALL OF THEM!" Soon after Chloe said this, panic soo spread around the room. Especially Stan and the loud siblings. A lot of them had siblings who were most likely in danger. Lynn dashed off from the stage and head to the doors with her siblings following her. Stan told Mary to stay as he left. Duke turned to Joey and told him they need to go. Lincoln; who had just heard everything, immediately followed his sisters out from the auditorium.
They all went to the storage room and grabbed every weapon they could find. As they ran out of the room. Lincoln and Clyde ran up to each other.
"There all in danger!" Clyde screamed.
Before Lincoln replied. Rusty sprinted towards the two and grabbed Clyde by his shoulders. "Did you see my brother went with them!?"
"What!? But he was just with me!" Rusty pushed him off and ran outside the door in a panic. Clyde then turned back to Lincoln in a sad expression.
"No time to explain, come on!"
Lana cried in terror and fear as the other kids who stood behind her when she chase Grease Monkey now stood in front of her. She had gotten so far ahead of them that when they all turned around and started to run they were far ahead of her. Only Lola slowed down to catch up with her sister, when she did, she grabbed the older twin's arm and ran faster. As they did so, they spotted a familiar black-haired girl approaching them as well as two other dark-haired girls
"LUCY!" They both shouted in unison.
"What were you thinking!?" Lucy shouted furiously.
"I don't know!" Lana cried. As much as she wanted to scold the two there was no time as right now she needed to get away from the adults as quickly as possible. They ran quickly, reaching towards the school. Their hearts raced as their feet were hitting the pavement. For a while, it looked as though they were going to get away but it was only a false sense of security as dozens of greens appeared in front of them. All were led by a tall, shirtless, and buff adult holding a brick. Brick; the same adult who attacked them on their first day in school weeks prior.
Brick cut off some kids who tried to run and swamped them.
"WE'RE DOOM!"
Thinking of a way, Lucy went on the other side but the adults blocked them, she then tried to go down past them but the adult knew this and covered it as well. They were all surrounded, all she could do now was lead her younger sisters back at the center of the hoard. Just them and a few other kids. Lucy looked at all the terrified faces; She saw Sally and Sasha who she now regrets bringing them here, Timmy and the twins looking at her with petrified faces. Lola sobbed hard. Timmy held up a knife in ready but Brick swung his weapon at the boy's head as blood rushed through him completely knocking him out.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry," Lana cried out over and over as she held her twin tightly. Sorry for everything she did, for the kids she murdered and hurting her sisters.
Lucy wrapped her arms around them as tight as she could. She took one last look at the sun; Bathing its warmth as a large cloud slowing covering the sun. She closed her eyes and buried her face against her sister's head.
Please don't make it painful. Lucy prayed as she felt the cold dead grasp of the green clasp onto her and pry her from her sister. She wailed in fear and anguish, too afraid to open her eyes not wanting to see her own death before her. She heard the screams of her younger sister and then darkness consumed her.
Rocky stood at the chaos unfolding before him. His entire body was frozen, unable to move. He thought of just going back but saw those kids crying helplessly that made him heartbroken. He was torn between running away and helping those kids.
"What the hell are you doing!?" He heard a feminine voice running up from behind him. "Get out of here!"
"B-But I-I,"
"I saw get!" Trinity shouted again, clutching a Bowie knife at her hand. "I need to save the children,"
"You're too late," Rocky cried before whispering. "They got them,"
"I have to try!"
As adults we're coming close, Trinity charged at them; slamming herself against them. She soon began to slash each and everyone like a madwoman but she knew it was a futile attempt. Still, she wasn't going to give up. She didn't care whether she live or died. She had one job which is to prothe tect kid.
And she failed.
She then made the mistake of stabbing an adult through the chest, causing it to get stuck. She desperately tried to pull it off but an adult came up right behind him and bit her shoulder, forcing her to remove the knife from her hand. She stumbled backward as blood oozed from her arm her sight began to wane down but she wasn't going to give up that easily. Prompting to use her fist. She then risked taking another look at Rocky; too scared to move his place.
"I said run!"
When she faced forward she was the man she stabbed pulled the knife from his chest and stabbed her from the stomach. She screamed at the pain as hot stinging tears flow through her eyes. The adult brought the knife down to her again, this time slicing her throat as she felt the life leaving her.
Replaced with pitch black.
The adult then made a move on Rocky and instead of stabbing him, he knocks him out with his elbow before carrying him up.
"NO!" Lynn cried out as she saw the immense size of the greens.
"It's over!" Luan shouted before sulking. "We're too late.
"SHUT UP!" Lynn shouted at her before making her way towards the adults who began to retreat. One adult turn around and faced them giving a smile before walking away.
"Lynn wait!" Luna cried out but Lynn ignored her as she finished off the greens that were too slow to getaway. She threw all kinds of swear words and just violently smash the greens into porridge. The same can be said for the other kids taking down greens nearby. She fought the tears as her muscles ached so much it was begging her to stop. Luna came right next to her and began to take down greens as well. But she knew it didn't amount to anything.
The adults escaped, their younger sisters are all gone and there was nothing they could do.
They failed.
Piles of gore; dismembered body parts lay waste across the ground. They weren't sure if either of them belong to their sisters and they don't want to know.
"DAMN YOU ALL!" Lynn cried out, pounding her fist on the asphalt. Luna, Luan, and Lincoln went up to her and held each other crying uncontrollably. Why must they all suffer like this? Around them were other kids who also had siblings who began to cry even Stan. He was on his knees with his head on the sky. Rusty began to cry as well.
Joey and Duke looked on at the mess around them. Duke placed a palm in his mouth. I didn't want any of this. I was supposed to be the leader. Why did this have to happen? If I never brought Luna, Lynn, Luan out there maybe none of this would have happened. Just before, Duke wanted nothing to do with the Louds and wanted every one of them gone but now he hated himself for even thinking like that. Duke looked at his spear. He wanted to stab himself with it but just couldn't. He wanted to be a hero but ended up like a villain.
Joey turned to him. "What do we do?"
Duke just looked at him sympathetically. Not sure what to say.
"Luna told me about you hearing voices am I correct?"
Zeke just nodded.
"At first I assumed you were just suffering from psychosis, but then I thought. There might be something else. What if I told you, that these adults are not just weird physically, but mentally and not their insane appetite for blood, but communication,"
Zeke looked to his right and saw Bob twitching.
"Has that guy been like that?"
"Oh, don't worry he's just like that,"
Just as Lisa continued talking. Zeke quietly stood up and slowly made his way towards the loud girl. This was it, the girl he was told to kill. He might have some road bumps here and there but now it was just them alone. He had his hammer ready. Ready to strike.
"Forgive me for what I'm about to do," Zeke whispered.
"Pardon?"
Zeke's entire body shook and soon he started to have some doubts. While the voices in his head told him to kill her, another who sounded more like him, asked him not to. Instead, he placed a palm on her shoulder. "Thank you for telling me this, I am sure God will be very pleased by your continuing work,"
"Um, well thank you now back to what I'm saying,"
Zeke sighed. I'm not doing it. I just can't.
YOU FOOL.
Bob began to spiral out of control. The restrains from his arms have now broken.
IDIOT! IDIOT!
Wait, what? Zeke thought. Is the voice coming from...
Bob was standing straight and looked very intimidating. He ran up towards the two and shoved past Zeke knocking him to the ground.
Lisa turned and paled to see Bob standing before her. He looked much taller than she had previously anticipated standing at 6'5. She grabbed her blaster but he grabbed it and threw it away. The adult grabbed a hold of her and lifted her up making her scream in terror.
"Zeke help!"
Zeke was stunned at what he was seeing. Then the voice came back again.
I've been wanting to kill you since you came into this place. And I'm tired of waiting. Once I'm done, I'll the other brats.
Zeke put two and two together; the voice that was coming inside his head, was this Bob fellow? All of a sudden his fear turned to irritation as all this time, it was because of this thing. He stood up and grabbed the adult's arms and are both locked in a struggle. Lisa fell and slowly crawled to a safer place.
Why are you doing this!?
This girl and her friends disgust me so I tempted you to kill this girl and his friend but I had to take care of the other brats so I send out every adult I could find and brought them here, unfortunately, they all came in the basement so I waited for someone to open it. Thankfully, one of those stupid kids opened it and the rest is history.
So it was you who brought those adults here? You're a monster!
Zeke didn't realize he was being lifted up from the ground. He shook his legs demanding to be let down, which he was as Bob slammed him to the ground.
Zeke barely stood up as his head spun. He looked to see Bob slowly approaching the young loud. Now he was mad. Mad at forcing to kill an innocent girl for nothing. Well, guess what, he's no longer going to kill her. He vows to protect her for as long as he live. Getting up, he grabbed his hammer and did every effort he could to get quickly to the adult. Once he was inches away he bent his arms upwards and brought the hammer down knocking Bob's head as blood starts to drool out of him. The adult turned quickly to Zeke who was preparing to hit him again. Grabbed his hands and began to crush them ever so slightly. Zeke screamed.
Lisa stood at the events unfolding here. Sensing the danger, Lisa grabbed her blaster and aimed at Bob's back causing the adult to release Zeke. Seeing his chance, the teen swung his hammer and slammed in on Bob's legs then to his skull, crushing it. He began to repeatedly slam Bob with the hammer over and over.
"This is for everything you put me through!" Zeke screamed before he stopped to catch his breath.
Bob was dead. The adult could move no more but it did make one last attempt to communicate Zeke.
You are a disappointment.
Zeke stared at the body with contempt.
So be it.
He took one last look at the body before turning his attention back at Lisa who was sitting on the floor, he noticed blood running from her arm which she was clutching on it. He ran up to her.
"Are you alright?"
"Indeed I am, my forearm does need some mending,"
"Thank the lord for that,"
"My theory suggests that the voices you've been hearing came from the adult named Bob, he wanted to break out of that cage to kill me but couldn't risk getting caught, so he found you an uninfected teen to kill me. But you prevailed and kill him,"
"Wow, you really are smart,"
"Listen, Zeke, I don't wanna finish it the cure right about now,"
"It has been causing me extreme levels of stress by just creating one, I can continue it at any time but right now, I just want to be with my siblings,"
"From now on, I promise to protect you as best as I can,"
"Thank you," Lisa gave a tiny smile.
"Come on, let's get you to a nurse," Zeke said and lifted Lisa in his arms. Today was a new day for Zeke, no longer under the shackles of a twisted adult. As far as he's concerned, he had truly found God. But that celebration would have to wait as right as he opened the door, chaos surrounded them. All around, teens and kids ran towards the other way.
"What in the world?" Zeke cried in confusion. He saw Brian running and quickly stopped him.
"What on earth happened?" Zeke asked.
"You don't know? Something happened with the kids in the gym they're gone!"
"Where are my siblings?" Lisa asked worriedly but the teen just looked at her with a sad look before departing. Leaving the two look with complete dread and fear.
"God help us,"
There is nothing better for Shade Walker than to stroll around the streets kicking junk all over the ground without a care in the world. He liked being alone. If you were alone you wouldn't have a problem with anyone else. It was just him and his roll of marijuana. He inhales the roll savouring the moment before exhaling. White smoke came out of his mouth as a result.
"That's some good shit right there."
He whistled a tune as he walked. He loves to walk. Whenever he wasn't playing video games, smoking weed or riding his skateboard. He would just walk around town, he might often walk very far, to the point he was in a different town. He chuckled for his fondness of walking, given that his last name was Walker it might have been his destiny to love walking.
Walker, Texan Ranger. Shade thought which made him laugh.
He looked up at the sky seeing all kinds of shapes and images from the cloud. He looked carefully, hoping to find something phallic from those clouds. That thought alone made Shade wanna laugh but couldn't; he needed to stay quiet. One loud sound and he'd be surrounded by crazies like moths to a flame.
Only moths eat flames. If there was a window between them he would be safe, but then the moth would just stare at me weirdly.
That thought made Shade wanna laugh again.
Damn it Shade stop laughing.
Think calm.
Calm as a cucumber. Larry the cucumber. Bob the tomato.
Veggietales.
What?
But wait, tomatoes are fruits. The hells a fruit doing in Veggietales.
Shade mentally slapped himself. No time for questions.
He continued to walk (heh) and came across a school.
Royal Woods High School.
The school sure is High.
Suddenly he felt a sharp sting on his cheeks.
"Who did that?" He looked to see his hand. "Oh," He walked closer towards the school and could see adults wandering around the football field. Along with a very obese adult sitting right in the middle. Damn that adult be looking thicc. He then saw things setting up around the field; Cars, gas tanks, firewood, propane tanks. The hell are they planning on those propane tanks? Are they going to burn the whole place and have a barbecue? If so, don't they like to need a grill or something?
Propane. I sell propane and propane accessories. Shade was trying so hard not to laugh. Thankfully it didn't happen as he saw a large group of adults coming their way.
"Woops, gotta hide," He ran quickly into a nearby house and ran towards the second-floor window to get a closer look. He made sure to open the curtains so that he won't be seen.
He examined mostly on the two tallest looking adults; one was really muscular and shirtless carrying a brick on his hand; another was greasy-haired adult sporting a mechanic uniform. They walked towards the thicc adult; as they did so Shade saw them passing along through the crows; a large burlap sack. The sack reached Brick and open it to reveal kids inside it. One was pale with dark hair and clothing; one with blonde hair, pigtails, and overalls; one looked very similar to the other one but sports in pink clothing; Three more came; one was an orange-haired kid; A dark-haired girl with yellow overalls; and another dark-haired girl but with a yellow shirt.
When the fat adult nodded, the two tall adults hurried over and carried the kid towards an empty car; carelessly shoving them inside the vehicle.
Damn, they're keeping them as prisoners. Shade said, feeling bad. What's even worse was that he saw more kids trapped in many of the other cars. That would explain the flammable objects. This was indeed a cookout.
Shade imagined being a professional sniper so he could shoot the tanks and turn that field into Hiroshima. But alas it was just a thought as he had nothing he can do to save those kids. He waited for a few hours until the coast was clear and left the house and continued this way into Royal Woods. Trying to get that bizarre and terrifying image of adults working together and poor little helpless kids away from his mind.
There was nothing you can do for them. Just keep on walking man. Eyes forward, standing straight. One foot in front of the other.
Chris, never knew he fought for his life until now. While heading to a nearby school. He gets into a fight with two kids who appeared much taller than he was but size doesn't matter to him. He puts up with a good fight with one kid but was so distracted with the said kid that he couldn't focus on the other. Chris was shocked and was actually scared at that point. Thankfully, Crony and a few strong adults kill him so Chris can continue with the other kid.
He grabs his pistol and shot the kid right in the stomach.
You made me do it.
You almost died. Crony explained.
"Whatever, I didn't need your help just got too focused If you know what I mean," Chris replied snarkily. "Now, let's go kill some kids,"
