A/N: I'm back! Thanks for all the awesome reviews! They poured in pretty quick within an hour and I found that completely amazing! Thank you guys so much! And by the way my Bella/Jasper story Mending the Pieces is up now so if you didn't know check it out! Enjoy this chapter!

Disclaimer: It all belongs to Stephanie, I'm just playing with the plot a bit.

BPOV: I stood pacing around Quil's living room and biting my fingernails. Embry hadn't called yet, the only thing he'd told me was to wait for him at Quil's and that Joshua Uley was back again. What did that mean? And what gave him the right to just barge back in to Embry and Sam's lives? And poor Tiffany and Allison. I could imagine old wounds being reopened, and it was surely not pleasant.

Quil however, didn't seem to be worrying half as much. "Bells, calm down. He's probably just fine. Em and Sam are probably letting Uley Sr. have it and then he'll be right down. Now can you please sit down you're blocking my view of Yoda's monologue here (Mini A/N: Sorry if I'm butchering it I'm not a Star Wars fan).

Rolling my eyes, I flopped down on the couch next to him. "How can you even watch T.V. at a time like this?" I asked exasperatedly.

"Easy," he said, shoving a heap of popcorn into his mouth. "I've known Em for years. No matter how sensitive he is, he's also as tough as a bull when it comes down to it. It's all going to be perfectly fine," he patted my knee. "I promise."

The words had barely left his mouth when the front door to the house flew open, and Embry came in, his face streaked with tears and palms vibrating with anger.

I ran up and threw my arms around his waist, burying my face against his chest. "What happened?" I whispered.

He gave me a soft squeeze and pulled away, his eyes blazing with fury. "I'll tell you what happened," he growled. "I come into the kitchen this morning, and I see my mom throwing flour and cooking breakfast with this guy that looks exactly like me. She smiles at me and tells me it's my dad, and that he's come back, expecting me to run and jump into his arms or some trash like that. And then when I show up back in the kitchen five minutes later with Sam and his mom, my mom gets angry and says I should have forewarned her! I mean, why should I have? She didn't forewarn me now did she? And then dad," Embry shuddered in disgust as he said the word aloud. "Goes into this entire pathetic explanation of how he wished he could've been in our lives, how he's regretted everything. Well if he really regretted it then he should have come back sooner! He can't have expected either one of us to welcome him back with open arms by now."

He was out of breath and panting when he finished. Quil sat with the T.V. muted and mouth wide open at what he was hearing, and me… well I'm just flat out terrified.

"Wait," I said slowly. "Your mom was acting happy when you saw her this morning?"

"Yes," he muttered through gritted teeth.

"She wasn't upset with him?"

"Didn't I just say that?"

"Do you think that there's any chance that your parents might get back together, Em?"

His body relaxed all of a sudden, as though he finally felt my arms around him. He took my hand and we sat on the couch. What surprised me the most was when he put his face against my shoulder and began to sob. "I don't know," he said through his tears. "I mean, she looked so happy with him… like they'd never even been apart. But what if he hurts her again? Every time I used to bring dad up she looked like someone had just killed her puppy. If he leaves again… who knows what will happen?"

I took him by the chin and made him look at me. I gently wiped his tears away and kissed him. "Listen to me," I whispered. "I know you want to protect her, but what if he really is being genuine? What if he really is trying to be the husband and father your mom deserves to have?"

"Then he can stay, I guess," Embry relented. "But I refuse to forgive him as easily as mom seemed to. He has to prove to me he won't just walk out again, that he'll actually try and be my dad."

I nodded. He had a point, it's not like he can just trust the guy out of the blue just because that's what his mom wants.

"Hold up," Quil interjected. "Speaking of being a father and a husband… how did Sam and Allison react to what happened?"

Embry's expression filled with pity for a moment before he answered, "Sam looked like he could bite Joshua's head off and feed it to the bloodsuckers. He gave it to him pretty good, though. Looked like he made dad feel real guilty about leaving him, he even started to cry a little."

"What about Allison?" I pressed. "How did she react? The same way as Sam?"

Embry snorted. "Oh no. She told Joshua she knew exactly why he left, she received the same sign he had from the Spirits. She just wanted them to maintain a friendship so they can both be there for Sam in the future."

"Does Joshua know anything about Sam and Emily's wedding yet?" Quil asked curiously.

Em shook his head. "And I doubt Sam will let him show his face there, even if Joshua does find out."

"Wouldn't want anyone losing a limb at the wedding," Quil laughed.

"A life is more like it," Embry agreed. "But Allison will probably tell dad to go with my mom anyway."

There was still one thing bugging me so I paid the wedding no mind and said, "Em, you said your dad and Allison had a dream about the Spirits?"

"Yeah," his eyebrows furrowed in confusion. "Why?"

"I think I may have had a dream somewhat similar last night."

A/N: Cliff hanger! Sorry guys I just HAD to leave it there! And before you ask Bella can get visited by the Spirits because she's an imprint. What do you think her dream was about? Do you think it involves good or bad news? Tell me in a review and I'll update tomorrow or Sunday! I love you guys!

Thanks for Reading!
