"Your village is lovely, Rex," Pyra smiled as walked around Fonsett with Rex's arm intwined with her own. She had hardly left his side since arriving with Rex having to negotiate for privacy while using the bathroom. She had even set up a makeshift cot in his room. Pyra had never been this…clingy. Nor had Mythra for that matter. He had no idea where this was coming from. She did not object to being called Pyra, so it did not seem to be a third individual and Mythra had let him calling their combined state Pyra slide before making that alone inconclusive evidence, but it was concerning nonetheless.

"Yeah, I like it at least," Rex responded awkwardly which she laughed at. This was really starting to freak him out. How and why was she so…off? The comment itself was not too bizarre, but that reaction did not seem right to him, not to mention the physical contact.

"Hey, um, Pyra?" Rex was somewhat bailed out of his immediate predicament by Nia as she approached with Dromarch, Tora, and Poppi in tow, "How about we spend some girl time bonding? You, me, and Poppi."

"That's alright," Pyra responded, "You go on ahead."

"Pyra no want to spend time with us?" Poppi asked in a disappointed tone while tilting her head.

"Come on, Pyra," Rex tried to convince her, "Go on, have some fun."

"I'd rather stay here with you."

"I'll be fine. Don't you worry. Lived here most of my life after all."

"Well, maybe, if that's what you want."

"Sure, go relax a little. I'll be waiting for you when you get back."

"Alright, if it's what you want, Rex," Pyra reluctantly agreed to go. Once she was gone, Rex turned to the guys.

"Something is wrong here."

"What do you think, Pyra?" Nia held up a trinket from the art stall, "Think it'd make a nice souvenir?"

"Huh?" Pyra averted her gaze from Rex's direction, "Oh, sure, whatever."

"Relax, Rex'll be just fine on his own for a few hours. No need to be so on edge."

"On edge, you say? I care about Rex, is that a crime?"

"No, but…you've been a bit clingy lately."

"What's it to you? Unless…you don't want me around him?" Pyra narrowed her eyes accusingly.

"What's that supposed to mean?"

"You were a member of Torna," Pyra accused, "What if you never left?"

"Excuse me?"

"What if you've been a sleeper agent waiting to betray Rex? And you!" Pyra turned her attention to a confused Poppi, "Tora is Ardainian, what if he's working for the Empire? Morag is the special inquisitor, and Zeke has ties to Indol and Tantal. How can I trust any of you?"

"Is Pyra not feeling well?"

"Yeah, just calm down and–"

"No!" Pyra snapped as Nia took a step closer, "No, I won't let you hurt Rex. How could I have left him like that?"

Before either of the other two could get a word in, Pyra was gone leaving a somewhat scorched spot in her wake.

"Poppi think that go poorly."

"Ya think?"

"What happened?" Nia asked Dromarch as he and Tora picked themselves up with Azurda flying above them. They were mostly fine save for some singed fur, but they were stunned to say the least.

"Mistress Pyra just showed and demanded that we get away from master Rex. It was all quite odd."

"When we didn't immediately act," Azurda folded his arms, "She knocked us all back Fortunately, she held back, but something is clearly wrong with the girl."

"I hope Rex-Rex not in danger," Tora worried for his friend.

"I don't think she'll hurt him. Not on purpose at least," Nia responded, "She went off on some spiel about not being able to trust us. Honestly sounded like she was losing her marbles, but she seemed genuinely concerned for Rex."

"Well, that's at least mildly reassuring," Azurda replied, "But we still need to find them."

"If Pyra is concerned for Rex's wellbeing and fears she cannot trust anyone, she may try to take him somewhere secluded," Dromarch pointed out.

"Leftheria has no shortage of secluded areas," Azura put a hand to his chin, "Though they're usually not short on monsters. Not exactly the safest of environments."

"A ship then?" Nia suggested.

"That may just work. We should hurry though. She'll have to go slower with Rex in tow, but she's still faster than any of us."

Arriving at the port, they found plenty of sailors. Perhaps more than they should have found at the actual port. They started to ask around, and it did not take long to paint of picture of what had happened there not too long ago.

It seemed that Pyra had rushed the port, and with a show of force had fairly easily commandeered a ship to use and kicked any crew members off. It seemed no one wanted to talk back to a girl that could melt through steel with hardly a second thought. A reasonable position to take.

"So, Pyra did take a ship," Dromarch summarized when they regrouped, "The question is, where is she going with it?"

"I'm not sure she's going anywhere," Azurda theorized, "If she's paranoid, then just about anywhere might be seen as dangerous. She may take the ship as a somewhat safe environment that she can better control."

"Surely she doesn't think she can crew a whole ship by herself for a long time," Nia folded her arms.

"She's an Aegis," Azurda replied, "She just might be able to."

"Great, so we gotta find them somewhere out on the cloud sea with no idea where they're going?"

"Not to mention figuring out what to do when we find them," Dromarch added.

"I imagine she'll go somewhere out of the way, but close enough that she can get supplies," Azurda suggested. "Rex is still human after all. He'll need food and water, and I doubt Pyra would overlook that even in such a state if she is concerned with his wellbeing."

Nia sighed, "As much as I hate to say it, I think we might need Morag and the shellhead."

A/N: Welp, they came out. Unfortunately, but not that surprisingly, Mythra seems to be outshining Pyra. At least for more serious play. Maybe she'll be used more casually. Oh well. Which one do any of you prefer to use?
