"No, no, no!"

"…it's end."

"Gah!" Rex shot up breathing heavily. That dream again. It seemed so vivid, but quickly evaporated. It was enough to make him wonder if it was a side effect of the time travel though he still was not sure why it unsettled him so much. However, after he calmed down, he remembered his more immediate concerns.

"Pyra?" He looked around the room he had been put up in. He breathed a slight breath of relief when he saw that Pyra was in a bed nearby. She was still breathing. She looked okay. It was enough to calm some of his nerves at least. Then he considered the next issue of his shoulder which, to his surprise, he found completely healed. Not even a scar.

"Oh, you're awake," Nia walked in after hearing him scream.

"How long was I out?"

"Couple a days. Whatever happened must have really worn the two of you out."

"Yeah," Rex commented off hand, "Thanks for the shoulder by the way. Feels good as new."

"You can thank Dromarch," Nia deflected before fidgeting, "Er, Rex?"

"Yeah?"

"Do you know about…oh, never mind."

"Yes," Rex replied knowing what she meant.

"You do?" Nia was not sure what to make of it. It had been bothering her since he revealed the whole time travel thing. She did not like not knowing if he knew or not.

"Yeah," Rex replied awkwardly. It brought up some less than pleasant memories. He had handled that situation less than tactfully. Something he had not realized until later, but when he tried to talk to her about it, she put it off. Put it off until the end. Rex did not feel bad for not returning her feelings, but rather the way he let her know he did not. To be fair, he lacked experience. Either way, there was no sense in feeling guilty over another's unrequited love.

"Probably don't have to say it, but I'd rather the others didn't know."

"Don't worry, your secret's safe with me. Salvager's honor!"

"You're such a dork," Nia smiled, "But thanks."

Nia left soon after leaving Rex alone with his thoughts for a while until he heard shuffling from the other bed. Quickly looking over, Rex saw the tell-tale sign of Pyra and Mythra switching before the blonde blade sat up with a groan.

"Mythra!" Rex wobbled a little as he stood up, "How are you feeling?"

"Like a Gogal was using my head as a drum," She bemoaned as she sat on the side of the bed.

"What…what happened?" Rex finally asked. He had been in the dark as to what had gone wrong with Pyra, and that scared him almost as much as what she was doing.

Mythra stared at the floor before looking Rex in the eyes, "I…I'm not completely sure. When you were in danger, I remember Pyra freaking out. I went along with it and decided to try and see if we could use our full power. However, when I opened myself up, I found myself overwhelmed."

"Overwhelmed by what?"

"I…I think they were Pyra's doubts. Her fears, her insecurities, everything. It was so intense that I was buried beneath it all not able to do anything more than call out to her, but she wouldn't listen. Somehow, it seemed to…alter her somehow. It brought all those negative emotions to the surface causing her to act on them. It must have been too much for her and created some sort of…imbalance.

"As for you, it seems that protecting you was her single most important objective. Maybe because that was what was on her mind when it all happened, or maybe it was for another reason," Mythra did not think it her place to share her sister's feelings. "Either way, when she accidentally hurt you, it was enough to shock her out of it enough to fight it."

"I see," Rex's expression betrayed his concern. After all she had been through…she did not deserve this, "And…how is she now?"

"Recovering," Mythra replied, "I don't think she's in any danger, but she's mortified by what she did. Needless to say, it did not do wonders for her self-esteem."

"I can imagine. What can I do to help?"

"Did you mean what you told her?" Mythra suddenly asked.

"Huh?" It took Rex a moment to remember his sudden confession. Once he did, his face promptly lit up, "O-of course I did. I wouldn't have said it if I didn't."

Mythra exhaled in amusement, "Then just be there for her when she's ready to show herself again. I'm not really good with this sort of thing, but I'll see what I can do."

"Thanks, Mythra," Rex smiled, "I'll do my best too. I just hope she'll be okay."

"Of course she'll be okay. She has us."

A few hours later, the party met on the bridge to discuss their next course of action. Fortunately, Tora had been able to repair Poppi's arm. Just another thing that made Pyra feel horrible inside Mythra's head making Mythra wonder when she would ever come back out.

"So what now?" Morag looked to Rex hoping for some more of that future insight.

"Well, we were supposed to go to Tantal under Amalthus' direction."

"That might not be such a good idea," Mythra spoke up from the corner earning her expectant gazes, "Pyra…may have threatened Amalthus. If he finds out she's no longer…like that, he may send forces after us."

"So where do we go then?" Nia folded her arms, "Indol is pretty influential, ya know."

"We still go to Tantal!" Rex looked up to Zeke, "Your father wants to get out from under Indol, and it's hard to get into Tantal without permission. I think it's our best place to hide." He left out the bit about the Omega Fetter for now. Even if Torna was forced to be more cautious after everything that happened, he wanted to avoid a trap if he could, and they seemed reluctant to make a scene in a city so far.

"You might be right," Zeke rubbed his chin, "But I doubt my old man will be too happy to see me again."

"Happier to see you than Mythra."

"Me?"

"Oh, yeah," Rex rubbed the back of his head, "You two might wanna stay outta sight until we talk things over with the king. Seeing you might make things messy."

Mythra raised a brow but did not push it, "Alright, fine."

"Guess it's settled then. Time for a good old family reunion."

A/N: You know, something about Pyra in Smash is kind of odd. That being her "gimmick" of her forward smash. Really, I think they should have just not listed her as having an alternative to Foresight (unless they made something more unique) or at least made it the strongest forward smash. Even then, listing it alongside something like Foresight seems…odd. It's…just a forward smash pretty much.
