"Now," Rex started as the group gathered around, "We still have to figure out what to do about Amalthus."

"Indol is powerful," Nia muttered, "He won't go down easily."

"A lot of his power comes from the other nations," Zeke pointed out, "If we could turn them against Amalthus, then we could really weaken him. Not that Indol's military is anything to scoff at, but we might stand a chance. Best case scenario, the other higher ups straight up oust him."

"Sounds like a plan," Rex agreed knowing that they had already tempered with his ace, "How do we do it."

"His majesty might be willing to listen, but the Imperial Senate would take significant convincing," Morag relayed.

"What if you had a witness?" Rex asked.

"That might help. I suppose you had someone in mind?"

"Yeah, Mikhail is a survivor of Torna."

"Torna?" Morag's eyes went wide, "That was over 500 years ago."

"Blade Eater, remember? He was there. Mythra can confirm it."

"It's true," The Aegis nodded, "He was under the care of Lora and later Addam."

"Well, he is a convicted terrorist, but it's worth a shot."

"I would like to go to Uraya," Haze spoke up, "As an emissary of the Praetorium, they may be willing to listen to me."

"Sounds good," Rex nodded, "We'll go with you while Morag talks to her brother."

"Actually chum, with dear old dad already on board with overthrowing Amalthus, I think I'll stick around in Mor Ardain. I know my way around Indol. I might be able to answer any questions they have."

"Morag?"

"I see no reason to object so long as he makes himself useful."

"Alright then, looks like we have a plan."

"The start of one at least," Azurda commented as they continued to the ship, however, Rex pulled back and motioned for the Aegis to do the same.

"What is it, Rex?"

"Well, um, I had a question for you, Pythra?"

"Pythra?" They raised a brow.

"Oh, yeah, I thought you could use a name like this. You're both Pyra and Mythra, and, well, Pythra," Rex knew Mythra had not cared for the name, but it did not seem right to call them by just one name. Especially now that he knew why he defaulted to Pyra as if on reflex.

'Absolutely not.'

'I kinda like it.'

'Of course you would. Fine, whatever.'

"Okay, Pythra it is. So what did you need?"

"Oh, right! It's about Fa-Haze. I was wondering if I could use my master driver abilities to…free her from Amalthus."

"Oh?"

"Well, there's always the chance Amalthus isn't going to survive this, and I'd rather we not lose the Haze we know. So I was wondering if there was some way to override Amalthus as her driver. I know I can use other people's blades, but it's always been temporary. I've never tried to override another driver."

"Hmm," Pythra thought about it, "Theoretically, it might be possible, but first you should ask her about it."

"Alright, thanks. I'll be sure to do that."

"Don't mention it," Despite the chuckle, one part of her was not keen on Rex getting Haze as a blade. In a flash, the two separated and left Pyra alone.

"Phew," She grabbed her head.

"You okay?"

"Yeah, it's just…working in tandem with someone like that is kind of tiring."

So that was why they limited their time like that, "Don't worry. You did great. I'm proud of you, you know."

Pyra gained a slight blush, "Thanks."

"Hey, lovebirds!" Nia called with a cupped mouth, "Hurry up before we leave you!"

"Coming!" They both called in unison as they went to rejoin the others.

The Ardainian ship was not very large. It was built for speed and maneuverability. That made finding some privacy something of a difficult task, but Rex and Pyra had finally found some time alone in the cargo hold. The two were sitting on a crate holding hands not really sure what to say.

"Rex, I…when you left, I was devastated. I was disappointed in myself. You told me how that you loved me, and I couldn't bring myself to tell you how I felt."

"Pyra…"

"No more though," Pyra looked up with confidence as her eyes practically glowed, "I want you to know…that I love you too."

"Pyra," Rex beamed gleefully, "Those are the best words I've ever heard. I don't know what our future holds, but I want to spend it with you."

"I feel the same," Pyra said in a soft but happy voice. To fill the new silence, the two leaned in, but after Rex closed his eyes, he was surprised to feel a finger on his lips. Opening his eyes, he slowly processed the blonde in front of his face.

"Ah!" The master driver jumped back, "Mythra! What are you doing?"

"Hey, I'm happy for you, I really am, but, as big sister, I think it's time to lay down some ground rules."

"Ground rules?"

"Yeah, if you're going to date Pyra, we should make some things clear. Doubly so with the whole body sharing thing. Speaking of which, I will give you two time to be all…lovey dovey with each other, but there are some lines you won't be crossing until you're married."

"M-Mythra!" Rex blushed profusely with his embarrassment only matched by Pyra's.

"Yeah, keep your hands to yourself. Some hand holding and the occasional kissing, but I'd better not wake up in your bed unless I was sleep walking again. Also, you'd better not break her heart. As her big sister it would fall to me to break you if you did that. Got it!"

"Yes, ma'am," Rex shot to attention.

"Good," Mythra smirked, "Now, have fun, but not too much fun."

After switching back to Pyra, the two of them sat their in embarrassed silence for several seconds before Pyra found her voice.

"Sorry about that. Mythra is taking this sister thing pretty seriously it seems."

"Ah, well, no worries. She's got nothing to worry about. I'll be a perfect gentleman."

"I know you will," Pyra giggled, "You're far too sweet to take advantage of someone like that. Just another thing I love about you."

"Heh," Rex smiled profusely. He could not describe a time he had been happier than he was right now. They may not be out of the woods just yet, but they were together. For the time being, that was good enough for him.

A/N: I actually have a grand finale arc planned, but...it's a bit more out there. I'm thinking I may post it as a separate sort of sequel.

Also, I have another idea for a potential story, but...it's not exactly a super happy story. Basically a story where Mythra is not a good person and views Pyra as little more than a tool. Of course, Rex would treat her like a person, though Mythra doesn't care for that.
