NeoGamer93: Thanks.

Please enjoy the next chapter.

The final bell rang and the students stood up and walked out of their classes, ready to head home. The two bands walked down the hall in an awkward silence before the sound of Kerori's and Iruma's phones going off broke the silence. Digging their phones out, the two looked down before looking up at their respected bands and said in unison, "I need to take this," Iruma turned and walked back while Kerori continued walking ahead of the others.

"No offense," Shax sighed and crossed his arms as he leaned up against the lockers behind him, "But your little friend is strange,"

"You're on to talk," Ameri narrowed her eyes, glaring at the bassist for the Demon Kings with a cold glare, "Where the hell does your friend run off to every time his phone rings? And who gets that many phone calls? Does he have more friends, or a girlfriend that you three don't know about?"

"No, and he's not seeing anyone…not since Haruno," the three looked at the black-haired bandmate as Jazz took a deep breath and shook his head, "It's nothing interesting, but all we can say is Iruma isn't looking to date right now,"

"What the hell, Jazz," Sabro hissed, "We agreed not to bring that up. What if he was here and he heard you? You know how he gets an-"

"What am I supposed to do, we were the only ones there besides his grandfather and butler and that's when we-"

"Hey," the six looked up to see their respected leaders walking up to them and Kerori shook her head, "We're going home,"

"Yeah, grandpa said that the maintenance crew what's to get finished early tonight, so we better leave too," the six nodded before the eight of them turned and headed towards the doors.

The Demon Kings walked down the street in the opposite direction of the other band. Jazz looked back before looking down at Iruma and arched a brow, "So was that really the principal on the phone?" Iruma sighed and shook his head, "Then who?"

"Oswell," the three stared at Iruma with anticipation as he took a deep breath and frowned, "I've got good news and bad news, which do you want to hear first?" the three frowned as they continued to walk down the street, "The bad news is we didn't get the deal, the good news is, neither did the Devi Dolls," he looked back and shook his head, "Amaryllis wasn't impressed that both bands sung depressing songs and she said that they're going to look elsewhere for another band,"

"Depressing!" Sabro snapped and the three jumped, "And how in the hell is Rise Above This depressing? It kicks ass!"

"It's about someone getting over their brother's suicide, Sabro, now shut up before people hear you," Iruma groaned, "But yeah, apparently the Devi Dolls sang a depressing song too and Spin City wasn't looking for that and that they'll be looking elsewhere,"

"Well this sucks," Shax groaned as he rubbed his chin, "Do you know the name of the song the Devi Dolls sang," Iruma hummed and shook his head as they walked down the street in silence.

Kerori, Ameri, Elizabetta and Clara walked down the street in silence before Clara looked at Kerori and tilted her head to the side in confusion, "So who was on the phone?"

"Raim," the three stared at her with wide eyes as she sighed and shook her head, "Neither band got the deal…apparently they weren't too happy that both bands sang a depressing song so they decided to look for another band to sign,"

"What? How is Hello a depressing song? And what song did those Demon jerks sing?" Ameri demanded, narrowing her eyes.

"I don't know and how isn't it a depressing song? It's about her witnessing her sister's death," Kerori sighed and shook her head, "The Devi Dolls might have lost out on this deal, but the good thing is the Demon Kings missed out on it too,"

"We could ask Sabro, Jazz and Shax what song they sang an-"

"We might as well tell them we're the Devi Dolls then, Clara," Elizabetta sighed and crossed her arms, "We're better off not knowing what song they sang, no matter how badly we want to know," Clara frowned as Kerori and Ameri nodded in agreement.

The Demon Kings walked through the doors of the mansion and Opera looked up from his work in confusion, "Master Iruma? Aren't you concern that the fans will see your friends here and figure out that you're Izama?"

"It's fine, Opera, we're just going to practice a little…besides, no one is going to learn that I'm Izama," Opera hummed as he narrowed his eyes and leaned closer to him, "We didn't get the record deal, but the good news is neither did the Devi Dolls…so…we're just going to practice and try again with a different company,"

"I see…well sir, I wish you all the best," Iruma nodded before he led his band up the stairs to his room.

The three sat in Iruma's room, Iruma on his bed, Shax and Jazz on the floor and Sabro on the chair, "So now what do we do?" Shax sighed and crossed his arms, "Spin City is one of the biggest companies out there and…and they didn't like us because our song was depressing?"

"That's what Oswell said, but I'm taking a small victory out of this loss," Iruma fell back and stared up at the ceiling, "Remember, the Devi Dolls didn't get the deal either, so they can't say that they're the better band,"

"You seem a little happy that we missed out on probably the biggest deal we'd ever have," Jazz hummed and arched a brow, "What gives, Iruma? Were you rooting the for the Devi Dolls to win or something?"

"Don't be ridiculous, Jazz, we're the Demon Kings, an unbeatable band and that's the way it should be, but this is the first time we missed out on something and it's our own fault for choosing a depressing song to sing for a company like Spin City…who knows, maybe Oswell can fix up another interview with them and we'll chose something we're used to singing,"

"Like what?" Sabro questioned, "If we had chosen something we're used to, chances are they wouldn't understand or they'd say it's too hardcore for their liking," Iruma ignored his drummer as he inhaled slowly.

Kerori led her band into her room before closing the door behind them. Ameri looked at her and shook her head, "Can't we just get another interview and sing a different song?"

"They were set on not giving us or the Demon Kings a deal," Kerori frowned, "Raim said she's going to try and get us another interview, but she said not to get our hopes up because it may not happen," she groaned as she flopped onto her bed and stared up at the ceiling, "The only good thing about this is the Demon Kings didn't get the deal either…not like they deserve it,"

"Don't be like that," everyone looked at Clara as she frowned and shook her head, "The Devi Dolls aren't supposed to be mean like that. We try and cheer people up with our music and they love us for it. Just because there's another band and we competed against them doesn't mean we should be mean to them,"

The three stared at her in silence before Kerori sighed and laid back on her bed, "I know, Clara, but the way Shax, Sabro and Jazz acting…I thought Izama was going to be the rude one, but at least he showed some form of kindness…even if he was rude to Raim,"

"But in his defense, she was insulting the intelligence of his band," Elizabetta chimed in and Kerori looked at her with a look of disbelief crossing her face, "We'd do the same if someone was insulting one of us," Kerori sighed as she shook her head.

I was going to add a song in this chapter, but I'm saving that for later. Yes, Rise Above This is about Seether's lead vocalist, Shaun Morgan, coping with his brother's suicide and Hello is a song Amy Lee wrote for her younger sister Bonnie who sadly died at the age of three from an unknown illness. Enjoy.
