Chapter IV
It was yet again, another beautiful morning in the Kingdom of Arendelle. Elsa and Jack awoke fairly early this morning and were already downstairs and Elsa was awaiting her breakfast.
"So how is my husband doing this morning?" She asked. Jack looked at her and smiled, "I am doing fairly well. What about my wife?" He asked smirking. She blushed, "I'm quite well."
Soon the door to the kitchen opened as one of the castles maids came walking in with a plate full of breakfast that looked absolutely delectable. Elsa smiled even brighter.
"Will there be anything else your majesty?" The maid asked. "Do you think you could bring another breakfast out for Anna?" Elsa asked.
"Of course."
"Thank you." With that the maid bowed and walked back into the kitchen. Both Jack and Elsa sat at the table and began to chat together about their soon to be honeymoon coming in a little while later today. A few minutes later, Anna strolled into the dining room and sat next to Elsa.
"Good morning Elsa!"
"Morning Anna! How is the baby?" She asked. "Oh she's quite well. She might be coming any day now. I'm so excited!" She responded.
"Me too Anna. I'm gonna be an aunt!"
"And I'm gonna be an uncle." Jack smiled. The two sisters giggled. Jack never really gave it into thought that he would someday actually be in a family of his own. Let alone be an uncle. He had been alone for three-hundred years and he never thought that something as amazing as becoming a guardian and marrying the love of his life would come to pass. He was the happiest spirit in the world.
"Are you okay Jack?" Jack snapped from his thoughts as he looked back at Elsa and saw the worry in her eyes. Anna stopped chewing her food and looked up to follow Elsa's gaze.
"Oh no I'm fine. Just thinking about how I was able to meet such a beautiful queen and how I got to marry her." He said. Elsa began to feel herself heat up gravely and tried to hide. But very poorly.
"Is someone blushing?" Jack asked smirking.
"N-No!"
"You can't deny anymore that I know you are."
"You don't k-know that I am!"
"I'm your husband. So I do know."
"F-Fine. Maybe I was."
"Aha! I knew it."
Anna was chuckling in her seat knowing and having a clear view of Elsa's pink cheeks. Elsa then went back to eating. As soon as she was about to eat a good spoonful, there was a knock at the door and both of the doors opened to reveal one of Elsa's noblemen stood in a burgundy coat with silver designs that were decorated all over.
"Your majesty, I have come to inform you that the King of Callestan requests your presence in the throne room."
He still hasn't left yet? He was supposed to have left at first light.
Jack and Anna turned to see Elsa and they read the state of confusion that was written all over her face. Elsa just stared right back at her nobleman. Feeling this overwhelming feeling of being flustered. What could he want from her?
"Did he say what he wanted me for?" She asked as she stood up and walked over to the red coated man.
"No your majesty, he just requested your presence. I have no idea what for. But he wanted to right before he left."
He was supposed to leave way earlier. I wonder what he wants now.
"Okay. I'll head down there now." Elsa began to fix her hair a little bit to look presentable. Not that she cared what she looked like in front of the Callestan dirtbag. But if she didn't. The King would notice.
The nobleman escorted her out and all that was heard of her was the faint clicking of her heals against the castle floor. Jack and Anna looked at each other.
"Somethings fishy." She stated.
"I agree."
"I'm gonna spy on them."
"But, haven't you forgotten? Everyone can see you now. How are you going to do that?" Anna asked questioningly.
"Trust me. I know how I can." He pat Anna's shoulder and let the wind guide him in command to follow Elsa towards the throne room. As he rounded the corner he flew back quickly so the King couldn't see him. He prayed that he wouldn't be seen. He waited a few seconds before peaking around and finding Elsa slowly approaching the King.
"You requested me?" She asked with a calm tone. He stopped looking at a tapestry that was made from the Great War they had against Pitch and turned to her.
"This tapestry, is it from the Great War?" He asked pointing upward. She looked up at the tapestry. A navy blue color with an outline of Elsa's head with the diamond crown Mani had placed upon her head. And behind her head was a silver threaded rose and Frost patterns going all around the edges of the tapestry.
"Yes it is." Was all she said. King Peter turned his head towards her. "I have called you here to talk about our alliance with each other. I have a proposition." Elsa raised an eyebrow.
"I thought of this overnight. You see, my wife and I, we had just had our third born son about a week ago. Your sister, when is she supposedly due for her first born?" He asked while putting his hands behind his back.
"She expected to be born in a few weeks." Elsa responded.
"So here's my case. We can become allies. If.."
"If what?"
"When Princess Anna's child is born, we can give them an arranged marriage. When my son becomes fifteen. They can marry. How does that sound to you?" He asked as he turned his whole body in her direction.
What? An arranged marriage? At fifteen years old? No, I willnot have my future niece marry someone for an alliance we may never have. And for someone she may come to hate and never love.
"That is an interesting offer. But, I am afraid I'll have to decline. My sister would not agree to this sort of thing." The King was boiling inside. He needed this alliance with the queen so that he could have a chance at being feared of by all and let them all know to never defy a king.
"You haven't consulted with the Princess yet. Can't we bring her in here to talk about it?"
"No."
"Queen Elsa if I may—"
"No!" She almost shouted at the king which in the back of the throne room Jack was smirking. That's my queen right there.
"I'm done making deals with you. I'm done being a weapon that your can use against all people and creatures of this world. I know what kind of king you are. And I will not be used like a pair of gloves for cold weather. We will never be allies. I don't trust you. And neither do my people. Now go and catch your ride home. I need to take care of my kingdom like a real queen."
Elsa had had it with this man. She knew what he did. She knew what he was like in his kingdom. Raising taxes on the poor. Taking away people's homes and burning them to the ground. It was just sickening. This was the last place she's be allies with.
"Very well then. I'll be taking my leave. But I will say this. You will regret those words that you have spoken to me. Good bye, Queen Elsa." He bowed and turned around towards the big doors of the throne room. They opened revealing the long bridge that had the town on the other side. The guards at the door closed the door leaving Elsa all to herself.
A small clapping was heard around the corner and Lesa perked her head up and noticed Jack was walking up to her clapping his hands.
"And that my friends. Is how you make the right decisions. Well done Elsa." He let the wind pick him up and he landed right in-front of Elsa.
"Thank you Jack. Sorry but he deserved that."
"Yes he did."
"Wanna go back for breakfast my queen?" Jack said dramatically as he put an arm out for her to take.
"It would be my pleasure."
~~~~~
King Peter walked onto his ship and settled into his cabin with many riches inside. To his big velvet bed with gold embroidered all over the headboard of the bed. A huge red carpet underneath that looked to coat a fortune to all who looked upon it. He sat down and let his hand run along the velvet comforter of his bed. He gripped the bedding and stood up once more. He ran his hands all over his hair and ran them all along his face. Out of frustration, he gripped the bedding once more and tore it off the bed. Underneath was the mattress. He let his nails dig into the fabric keeping everything inside the mattress in place. He growled to himself before ripping apart the mattress. Letting everything stored up inside to come falling out. He torn it more and more and more. All of the feathers from the mattress where falling out and everywhere now.
"You know, you have no where to sleep now." A voice said at the door way of the cabin. There stood a figure. He couldn't tell who it was but by looking at it. It looked to be a man.
"Who the hell are you? And what business do you have with me?"
"Ah ah ah. Watch your tongue. Wouldn't want it cut out do we?"
"Eh?!"
The figure slowly walked in. Even though it was sunny outside and the suns rays had been pouring out of the windows, King Peter could not see the mans face. A big black hood covered his face and he wore a black hunting outfit. He stood right in front of the king and was clearly taller than him. Which angered the king even more with his presence.
"What do you want? Who are you?"
"That second question, does not matter to me. However I want you to travel, not to Callestan. But somewhere else." The man spoke in a deep tone that could make anyone crumble in fear.
"Why in hell would I do that? You have no business being here. And how did you get passed the guards?" He asked. The hooded man let out a short laugh and went back through the doorway. The king waited for a few moments before seeing a body thrown in-front of the doorway. It was a guard that had the uniform of the kingdom. But a long line of dark red went around his neck with more red spilling out from his neck. Another body fell on top of the other and it too had the same thing that happened. Their throats has been slit.
The hooded man then walked out and hopped over the bodies before making his way back to the King who stood there in shock. It was written all over his face.
"Does that answer your question?" The King didn't respond.
"I want you to let me run this ship and help you travel somewhere."
"And if I refuse?"
The hooded man then whipped a knife out of his hand as he put it up to the King's neck. He slightly jumped at the sudden knife at his throat.
"Then I will slit your throat, and everyone else's on this ship. And believe me when I say that." The King crumbles under his breath. The hooded man took his knife away from the King's throat and held his arms down to his side.
"So I'm basically held captive on my own boat now. Is that was this is?" The king asked.
"Not entirely. Think of it as being by guest."
"Oh what joy. Where am I being 'taken'?"
"It's an island. Not very far from here. There's a kingdom there. That needs an alliance." He spoke. "One of the princes came here. He wanted to marry the princess."
"Oh?"
"Yeah, well, he wanted to become king. You hate the Queen here right?"
"What's it to you?"
"Just answer the damn question."
"Okay fine yes I do."
"If we become allies, we can take this kingdom for ourselves." The King raised an eyebrow at this.
"How will you do that? You have like a witch or something with powers like the queens? That's why I wanted an alliance. So that we had the most powerful kingdom on our side. And no one would defy the will, of a king." The king asked. The hooded man snorted and walked up to the window, watching all of the Arendellians walking and doing their own business. Some where helping with loading the ship to be ready to take off.
"You don't need to worry about that."
"Well, can you at least tell me where we are going?"
He watched the kids playing around together like a little game of tag. Everyone having a great time. But they all thought of this as a normal day.
"We are heading to the Southern Isles."
