Chapter VI
"And why am I supposed to wear this?"
King Peter and his unknown kidnapper were about half a mile away from the docks of the Southern Isles. The man threw him dark clothing that looked to have not been cleaned in days.
"To blend in," the man said. "Don't want to get a whole lot of attention. The Southern Isles likes to gossip a lot. So we need to keep a low profile."
The King groaned and picked up the clothing examining it. There was a white loose undershirt as well as an emerald green vest with golden buttons that matched it nicely. A pair of cheaply made leather boots and ebony black pants.
"Do you have anything else that's... a little more pleasant looking? And plus, I hate green!" The King yelled towards the man.
"Well, people here don't worry about color. They are just glad they can afford clothing. Unlike you taxing them for meaningless stuff to fit your pig style body." The man sneered making the Kings face turn red in pure anger.
"So grow a backbone and wear it." King Peter let out a 'tch' and began to undress as the man left onto the deck of the vessel.
"What do we do now??" Kristoff asked as he held his wife's hand in his. She was slowly turning pale as her rosy cheeks were loosing their color. She kept on panting out of breath.
"We are gonna need to perform a C-Section."
"What's that?"
"It's a new concept we have learned when coming here to serve you guys. It's when we need to cut an opening into the uterus and pull the baby out. But-" Elsa and Kristoff held their breaths. "What? But what?!" Elsa asked with worry. Worrying about the worst that could happen.
"Well, based on this. Only 10% of women survive this."
Oh my lord... Elsa thought as she felt a lump in her throat beginning to form.
"Thing is, we need to operate fairly soon. If we don't do this. Anna will die as well as the baby. If we do this, the baby will survive but a high chance of its mother won't survive."
"But is there still a chance that she can survive?" Elsa asked. "Yes, 10% of a chance."
Elsa sighed and chocked back a sob. Slowly falling down to her knees on the bedside. Her face in the comforters.
So we need to choose between the baby's life and my own sisters...
"Are you f*cking serious?"
"Stop your whining!" The man said as he was loading off the deck of the ship. The King was buttoning his vest on and walking down the small bridge attached to the dock.
"Good to see you, Griffin." A boy passed by carrying a large crate and walking back to the ship.
The King furrowed his eyes and looked upon his kidnapper. "Griffin? Huh..." Griffin growled under his breath and proceeded to walk through the town towards the large castle.
"Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh!" Elsa began to feel the tears fall freely down her face and soak into the covers of her sister bed.
Kristoff places his left hand upon his face and let his elbow rest on his thigh.
"How are we supposed to choose between Anna and our baby?" He asked.
"A life for a life."
Else lifted her head up once more and wiped away her freely falling tears and sniffed.
"You guys must hurry. Time is running out. If you don't choose, they both could die." The nurse said. Elsa hissed through her teeth and gripped the strands of her platinum blond hair in frustration. How could she decide on who should live. Maybe Anna should decide. After all, it's her life and her baby.
Elsa shifted her gaze towards her sister. She was even paler now by how much blood she had been loosing. Her hair was messy and in knots. Elsa grabbed a soaked cloth from a bowl of cool water and squeezed it to let the water go back in the bowl. She took the dampened cloth and placed it upon Anna's head. Anna's face seemed to relax a bit more with the cool cloth against her forehead.
"Anna? You there?"
Anna's eyes slowly opened to reveal her bright turquoise colored eyes. She slowly nodded her head with a small grin.
"So, your kinda gonna have some trouble." Anna looked up at the nurse and waited to hear what the problem was.
The nurse began to explain what the situation was. As it got into more detail of the risks. Anna seemed to understand that she was at very high risk. Basically saying that either her life or her baby's.
"We need to decide now." The nurse spoke. Anna nodded her head. She sighed deeply.
"Anna?" Kristoff asked holding her hand. She tightened her husbands hand.
"We do it."
The nurse let out an okay and the others began to dash down to grab whatever tools they had.
"Go! Grab some towels and fresh water." The nurse called to the other ones.
One of the nurses came back to the room. "Dianna, we don't have all the nurses for this process."
"Well we need to send some in!"
"If we do that, the closest they'll be is at least fifty miles away! Anna could be dead by then." The nurse replied. Dianna let her head fall in frustration.
"Is there anyone that can help us??"
Suddenly, Elsa had an idea.
"I've got it!" She exclaimed as she ran over to the large window and opened it which over looked the kingdom.
"Elsa what are you doing?!?" Kristoff asked. She turned her head slightly to meet her brother-in-laws eyes.
"Just trust me on this!"
She then readied her powers and sent a large pillar of ice that looked to be growling brightly. It shone like a beacon. Wait, a beacon! That's it!
"Your calling them aren't you?"
Elsa nodded her head.
"How goes the toys North?"
"Very well, Jack. How are you and Elsa doing?" Jack Frost was in North's workshop trying to help out a little bit.
"We are doing well. I just miss her is all." He said looking at the ground with his left hand in his pocket. North sighed.
"I know," He said in his thick Russian accent, "But you have a duty as guardian to protect the children. It's the reason you are here and alive right now."
"Yeah I know."
As they stood in silence for a few moments, North caught something in the corner of his eyes outside the glass dome above.
"What is that?" He asked himself as he slowly walked towards it with furrowed eyebrows. Then realization hit him.
"Jack! We need to go! Now!" He shouted towards Jack.
"What-" soon he caught sight of what North was seeing and his eyes widened.
The beacon
"Jack throw me my tool kit!" He shouted. Jack lifted hit large leather bag and threw it towards North. He caught it with ease and dashed down to the sleigh.
"Jack! You need to go and see what's wrong!"
"Wait a minute... can't you just use the globes?" Jack asked him. North stopped for a quick second and chuckled to himself.
"Oops." He then whispered where he wanted to go and threw it on the ground.
"Let's go."
North then jumped in and Jack did too.
