Chapter 51: Coffee date
Tori was getting ready to leave for her little date with Thomas at the coffee shop that was near his house. "Tori," her mother called for her. "Yes mum?" Tori said as she walked out of her room and went downstairs. "Your father and I have a business meeting to attend, could you watch your brother for us in the meantime," Tori's mother asked while getting ready to leave. "Oh, I had a date with Thomas today at the coffee shop," Tori said looking down. "Oh that sweet Heeler boy?" Tori's mother asked. "Yeah that's the one," Tori said. "He's a keeper Tori, I know you really like him," Her mother said with a smile.
"Yeah, I really do," Tori said blushing. "I'm sorry for asking you to watch over your brother at the last minute, sweetie, but this meeting is really important," Tori's mother said looking at her daughter. "I would ask for a babysitter, but…" she added. "I understand mum it's no problem, I guess I will have to ask Thomas to delay our date, he'll understand" Tori said, with a smile. It was then that Tori's mother had an idea. "Didn't you tell me he had two little sisters?" Tori's mother asked. "He does and they're so sweet," Tori said again with another smile. "Maybe you can still have your date," Tori's mother said with a smile. "Really? How?" Tori asked. "Ask to see if his sisters would like to go to the park and you and Thomas can still have a date while your brother plays with his sisters," Tori's mother explained. "That's not a bad idea," Tori said with a smile. "Then make it happen honey," her mother said before grabbing her purse. "Okay," Tori said with a smile.
Once her mother left Tori went upstairs and went into her brother's room, where he was reading a book, while sitting on his bed. "Hey Ronnie," Tori said looking at her little brother. "Yes?" Ronnie said, looking at his sister adjusting his glasses. "Do you want to go to the cafe with me and then go to the park to make new friends?" Tori asked. "B-but I like reading at home," Ronnie said looking down. "You might like these kids," Tori said. "What if they don't like me?" Ronnie asked. "Do you trust me?" Tori asked, kneeling down to his level. Despite his uncertainty regarding making new friends, Ronnie did trust his big sister. "Yes," Ronnie said again, adjusting his glasses. "These kids are super sweet and you'll fit in just right," Tori said with a smile. "Really?" Ronnie asked. "Yes," Tori said as she handed out her hand. Ronnie then took his sister's hand.
(Meanwhile with Thomas)
Thomas was helping his sisters paint pictures. "These are really good!" Thomas said, looking at his sisters' paintings. "Will we be as good as you big brother?" Bingo asked. "Maybe with a little more practice," Thomas said with a smile. "Then we will have to work really hard if we want to be as good as you, big brother" Bluey told. "You're right on that, Blue" Thomas replied, while rubbing his hand on his older younger sister's head. Thomas then heard his phone ring. "Hang on guys I should get this," Thomas said as he went to his phone.
"Hey Tori!" Thomas said on the phone.
"Hey Thomas, so I just got a little situation here, don't worry, we still are going to have our date, but I got to watch my little brother and I thought maybe we can make it a playdate/coffee date? He could play with your sisters while we have our date" Tori asked.
"Sure! I don't see why not," Thømas said with a smile.
"Great! Meet you at the coffee shop?" Tori asked.
"Sounds like a plan," Thomas said, wagging his tail.
"Great! See you soon," Tori said before hanging up the phone.
Thomas hung up the phone and then looked at his sisters. Bluey and Bingo wagged their tails and Squealed. "What?" Thomas asked nervously. "Was that Tori?" Bluey asked. "What made you think I was talking to her?" Thomas asked. "Because you wagged your tail a lot just now and you do that when you talk with her," Bingo commented. "I do?" Thomas asked, while looking back to his tail." "Yeah, you do!" the two girls exclaimed, giggling. Despite feeling a little embarrassed by that, Thomas quickly recovered. "Yes… we're going on a coffee date," Thomas said, rubbing the back of his neck. "Ohhhh! Are you going to kiss her?" Bluey asked. "What?!" Thomas asked nervously, completely caught off guard. "Are you going to kiss princess Tori?" Bingo asked with her puppy eyes. "Yes-I mean-no-I… she's bringing her little brother so that means you have to come with me," Thomas said, getting his things together. "Hooray!" Bluey and Bingo cheered. "I want you to be on your best behavior and don't embarrass me!" Thomas said strictly. "Love Race!" Bluey and Bingo cheered. "Love Race?" Thomas questioned.
Chapter 51: Love Race
"What do you mean by Love Race?" Thomas asked, while he texted his parents where he and his sisters would be at so they wouldn't worry, as they went towards the park. "We're going to help you win Princess Tori's heart before any other dog has the chance to do it," Bluey replied with her determined look. "What?!" Thomas asked, while dropping a laugh. "Trust me, kid, I'm fine going at the pace I am, thank you very much, but I would appreciate it if you focused on playing with her brother," Thomas said. "What's her brother like?" Bluey asked while walking. "I don't know, I've never met him… or knew she had a brother," Thomas said while waking. "I hope he's fun!" Bingo said. "I'm sure he is, and if he is not, I'm sure you two can help him with that," Thomas said as they walked.
"I hope you and Tori kiss!" Bluey said, wagging her tail. "Again with that! Can't you girls ever talk about something besides that?" Thomas said, blushing slightly, as they walked into the coffee shop. "Not until you actually kiss her," Bluey replied. "Yeah, dad says we are very, persilta… persiltan…" Bingo said, having difficulty in saying the word. "Persistent… yeah, I can see that…" Thomas said, proceeding then to look around. "Alright, I guess she's not here yet, what do you two want to drink?" Thomas asked, looking at his two sisters. "Coffee!" They both cheered. "Two hot chocolates it is," Thomas said as he and his sisters walked up to the counter. "Oh, why can't we have coffee? You, mum and dad drink it every day," Bluey protested. "That's because coffee is not for little kids, it gets them too much energetic and you two are already a handful the way you are," Thomas said, as the waiter came to take his order.
Thomas and his sisters sat at a table near some kids books. "When will she be here?" Bluey asked. "Should be soon," Thomas said while looking at his phone and drinking his coffee. "Aw," Bluey said looking down. Bingo then started coloring. "What are you coloring Bingo?" Thomas asked, looking at his younger sister. "You and Tori holding hands," Bingo answered. "Oh that's nice," Thomas said looking back at his phone. "Wait what?!" Thomas said, looking at Bingo. "She's here!" Bluey pointed out. "Great! Now behave!" Thømas said, looking at both of his sisters. "And, Bingo, hide that drawing," he rushed to tell his youngest sister. "Why? It's a pretty drawing, don't you like it?" Bingo asked. "It's not that, it's just…" Thomas started, trying to find a way to tell Bingo without hurting her. But Bluey, noticing his brother's nervousness, decided to help him. "Hey, Bingo, we could give that drawing to Tori when she and Thomas really get to be boyfriend and girlfriend," Bluey said. "That's a great idea, Bluey!" Bingo exclaimed, hasting to hide the drawing she had just made, while Bluey winked to Thomas who winked back.
Tori and Ronnie came into the coffee shop with Ronnie hiding behind his sister. "See, he has nice sisters," Tori said look down at her brother. "T-they seem mean," Ronnie said looking at Bluey and Bingo who were waving at him. "No! They're so cute like you, don't worry, Ronnie, they are very friendly and they love to play and make new friends," Tori said as she and Ronnie went to the counter. "But you think all kids are cute, and these are your boyfriend's sisters," Ronnie replied. Tori got a little embarrassed for what Ronnie said, trying to avoid looking to Thomas. "Yeah, but let's not call him my boyfriend just yet, come on, Ronnie, I know it's hard for you to make new friends, but make an effort for me," Tori asked. Despite his nervousness in meeting new pups, Ronnie loved his sister very much and so he nodded to her. "That's a good boy," Tori replied, while rubbing her hand on his head.
"Her brother looks nice," Bluey said with a smile. "I want you two to play nice with him and well you know make friends with him," Thomas said. "Because you want Tori to like you?" Bluey teasingly. "Bluey…" Thomas said in a warning tone. "Sorry… how touchy, but no worries, we are the friendliest kids around," Bluey said. "Yeah, we'll be nice to him," Bingo seconded. "Hi, Thomas, hi, girls," Tori said, as she and Ronnie got to their side. "Hi, Tori, so nice to see you…" Thomas said, while getting up in an instinct. "It's nice to see you too, Thomas," Tori replied. "So, this is your brother, hein, hey there, little buddy, nice to meet you," Thomas said, while leaning towards Ronnie and extending his hand. But the little pup, being very shy, just kept himself very close to his older sister. "Sorry, Thomas, but my brother is very shy," Tori said. "Oh, okay… it's all right, well, Ronnie, these are my little sisters, Bluey and Bingo," Thomas introduced, while the two girls waved at Ronnie with a smile.
"Hey, girls, why don't you take Ronnie to the reading area to play?" Thomas asked. "Okay, come, Ronnie," Bluey said, as she and Bingo went there. Ronnie shared a brief look with his sister who nodded to him and, despite being a little hesitant, he ended up following the two girls. "So… I didn't know you had a brother," Thomas said. "Well, you never asked," Tori replied with a chuckle. "I know, but… you have heard me talking about my sisters, but you never mentioned your brother once," Thomas said. "I don't know if you've noticed, but my brother is not exactly the outgoing type," Tori said. "I've noticed…" Thomas told. "To be honest, I try to avoid talking about him because that could lead to boys trying to use him to get to me, my brother is quite sensitive and I want to protect him from that, that's why I prefer to introduce him to those who are special to me," Tori confessed. Hearing that, Thomas couldn't help but feel himself blushing.
"You… think I am special… to you?" he asked. "Of course! I've noticed how you are with your sisters, you really are a good big brother," Tori told. "You wouldn't think that of me one year ago, before I came to live here, I couldn't be happier from being as far away from them as possible, to me they were like a reminder that… my parents would never be together… and that my dad probably loved them more than me…" Thomas said. There was a pause and then Tori just put a hand over Thomas'. "Look, Thomas, you are a great big brother, yeah, you were not so great at the beginning, but I doubt many would be in your position, I don't know what I would do, to tell you the truth," Tori confessed. "I bet you would be a great big sister no matter what, I mean, you take care of your brother," Thomas said. "I guess you're right… At least I try to help him make new friends so he doesn't get too much timid, it's a good thing I know someone with some little sisters to help my brother get out of his room of comfort" Tori said. "Why, thank you, I am glad to have been of service," Thomas said, in a theatrical cordial way, with the two then sharing a laugh.
Meanwhile, with the kids, Bluey and Bingo were cheerfully watching some books, with the former even reading the best she could for her younger sister. But then the two turned to Ronnie, who was reading quietly, as if he was not even acknowledging Bluey and Bingo's presence. "Ah, Ronnie, what are you reading? It seems interesting…" Bluey commented, while smiling. Ronnie hesitated in answering, avoiding looking at them. "A book about space…" he said. "Oh, I love space!" Bingo exclaimed, causing Ronnie to quiver. "I'm sorry, I didn't want to scare you," Bingo said, a little embarrassed. "Oh, it's okay… I am just… not very comfortable with other pups," Ronnie told. "Why?" Bluey asked. "I don't know… I just… don't feel comfortable," Ronnie replied. "Why don't you feel comfortable?" Bingo asked. "Yeah, it's nice to talk with other dogs," Bluey said. Ronnie was about to say something, but then he stopped himself from doing it and just turned his back on the girls to keep reading his book.
"Do you think we should get these kids to the park?" Thomas asked with a smile. "Yeah I think we should," Tori said with a warm smile. "Alright, girls! Do you want to go to the park?" Thomas asked. "Yeah!" Both girls said leaving the kids books area. "Are you coming Ronnie?" Tori said softly as she walked over to her little brother. Ronnie sighed and put the space book down. Tori handed out her hand and Ronnie took his sister's hand. "He's youngest sister… Bingo I think her name is, she likes outer space just like me," Ronnie said.
"Then why don't you play with them when we get to the park," Tori said with a soft smile. "I don't know…" Ronnie said, looking down. "It'll be okay," Tori said with a warm smile. "Thomas?" Bluey asked, looking at her brother. "Yeah?" Thomas said as they all walked along. "Can we stop by the house and grab something?" Bluey asked, while skipping ahead. "I don't know blue, I think we should just head to the park," Thomas said while walking. "It's no problem you can stop there if you want and Ronnie and I will meet you at the park," Tori said as she held Ronnie's hand and continued walking. "You don't mind?" Thomas asked, blushing. "Not at all," Tori said with a smile. "Alright then, we'll meet you there!" Thømas said blushing. "Great!" Tori said as she and Ronnie took off to the park and the Heelers went back home. "Alright Squirts! Grab what you need and let's not make Tori and Ronnie wait any longer," Thømas said, crossing his arms while waiting outside.
Bluey and Bingo giggled and ran into the house. "Ah it's so nice with no kids," Bandit said laying on the ground. "You're telling me," Chilli said laying on the couch. Suddenly the peace and quiet was over when Bluey and Bingo ran into the house and went to the playroom. "So much for that," Bandit said, now sitting up. "It was nice while it lasted," Chilli said with a chuckle. Bluey and Bingo then grabbed some of their space equipment that they played with and started to run out of the house.
"Where are you kids going with those?" Bandit asked looking at his daughters "we're going to play in space at the park with Tori's little brother," Bluey explained. "Tori's has a little brother?" Chilli asked. "Yeah! He's a little shy though," Bingo said looking down. "I'm sure he'll open up, you too are very friendly," Chilli said. "Where's your brother?" Bandit asked. "He's outside waiting for us," Bluey said. "Alright then, I'll walk you kids out to him," Bandit said with a smirk. "I don't like that look you have, Bandit," Chilli said, shaking her head. "What? I'll just give some fatherly advice for my little boy," Bandit said with a chuckle. "Little huh?" Chilli said again, shaking her head. Bandit chuckled again as he took his daughters outside. Chilli also joined her husband as she wanted to hear this fatherly advice her husband had to offer.
Thomas was sitting on the porch until he heard the front door open. "Finally!" Thømas said standing up. "Hey mate!" Bandit said. "Oh no," Thømas said under his breath. "Sorry dad, we have to get going," Thomas said, helping his sisters to hurry. "Be smooth with Tori! And make the first move mate!" Bandit called out to his son. "Dad!" Thomas said as he hurried along with his sister down the street. "Fatherly advice huh?" Chilli said, crossing her arms with a smirk. "Well… it could help," Bandit said blushing rubbing the back of his neck. "Smooth Romeo," Chilli said, kissing her husband on his muzzle, going back into the house.
Meanwhile Tori and Ronnie sat at a picnic table waiting for the Heelers to get to the park. "Do you like Thomas?" Ronnie asked, looking at his sister. "Yeah I think he's sweet," Tori said blushing. "He's not like other dogs is he?" Ron asked, adjusting his glasses. "No, not at all," Tori said blushing. Ron thought for a moment and then thought about his sister and how happy she would be if she really got a chance with Thomas. "Hey Tori!" Thømas said, walking over to the table with his sisters behind him. "I'm going to play with Bluey and Bingo," Ron said getting foe from the table. "Oh! Okay! I'm here if you need me," Tori said watching her brother leave. Ron nodded to her and went over to the playground. Bluey and Bingo then went after Ron to the playground.
Thomas sat down at the picnic table and looked at Tori. "Sorry it took so long, they wanted to grab a space helmet," Thomas explained. "Oh, it's no problem I was just talking with my brother," Tori said nervously. "Oh! I hope I didn't interrupt anything," Thomas said nervously. "Oh no not at all," Tori said with a nervous chuckle. Thomas chuckled nervously also while rubbing the back of his neck.
Bluey, Bingo and Ron sat inside a tunnel that was connected to the slide. "Can I ask you two something?" Ron asked nervously. "Sure!" Bluey said while sitting next to Bingo. "You can ask us anything!" Bingo added happily. "Do you guys like my sister for your brother?" Ron asked, looking down. "Oh yes! She is very pretty and she makes my brother very happy!" Bluey said, wagging her tail. "She even makes his tail wag," Bingo added. Ron then wagged his tail as he smiled. "I just want my sister to be happy and if you two like her then I'm happy," Ron said with a smile. "We really want our brother to kiss her," Bluey said giggling. "Yeah! We want him to kiss princess Tori," Bingo added. "Kissing?! Eww!" Ron said while laughing. They then all started laughing in the play tunnel.
"I guess they're getting along pretty well," Thømas said, looking at the playground. "Yeah I guess they are," Tori said blushing. Thomas then thought about his dad's words and thought about his dad's chances at winning love from both his mother and his step mother. "Tori I…" Thomas said but then stopped himself from his nerves. "Yes," Tori said, looking at Thomas. "I.. uh… I really really like you," Thomas said nervously. Tori blushed as she too had those feelings. "I.. I really like you too," Tori said with a smile. Then Thomas then lends in while Tori also did the same. Then the two had finally shared their first kiss. "Aww!" The girls said from a far at the playground. "Yuck," Ron said while covering his eyes. Tori chuckled as she looked at the girls. "Go play!" Thomas said with a chuckle while also blushing hard. The kids then went and played space dog at the playground while Thomas and Tori talked more.
Now walking into the house, the girls ran inside and ran upstairs to the kitchen where their parents were. Thomas slowly walked up the stairs, still shocked that he finally kissed Tori. "Hey mate how did it go with Tori?" Bandit asked while sitting at the table. "He kissed her!" Bluey shouted as she and Bingo ran past the kitchen. Bandit was shocked. "You did?! How was it mate, your first kiss! I can't believe it! My little boy isn't so little anymore!" Bandit shouted with excitement. "You kiss her sweetie?!" Chilli asked while coming into the room.
"Guys," Thomas said blushing looking down as he sat down at the table. "Don't be shy, mate! I remember my first kiss," Bandit said with a smile. "Wasn't it with mom?" Thomas asked, looking at his father. "It was, there's nothing like having your first kiss," Bandit said while placing his hand on his son's shoulder. "Do you remember your first kiss mom?" Thomas asked, looking at Chilli. "I do, his name was Ethan and we kissed by a tree when we were kids," Chilli said remembering her first kiss. "Tell us about mate please," Bandit said looking at his son. "Alright so it went like this…" Thomas said as he started to explain his first ever kiss with the girl he really liked.
