Sam, Higgins and Crabtree finally arrived back at the station. Higgins was still thinking over why the photo was so important to the case but Sam had tried to explain it on the way back. He still didn't really understand but had nodded anyway so he didn't sound so stupid. Sam opened the door hoping Miss James and Miss Cherry had now made up.
"You're back then." Miss Cherry met them at the door.
"Yeah. Have we got anything more on the case?" Sam asked, somewhat ignoring Miss Cherry.
"The pictures are clear." Pendrick passed the picture over hoping Sam would recognise the person.
Sam took the photo. Pendrick was right the picture looked like it had just been taken rather than a few days ago. Crabtree looked over her shoulder in case he could be any help.
"Anyone you recognise?" Pendrick asked them both.
Sam remained quiet. Crabtree took the photo off of her as he came to recognise the person. He didn't say anything either as he took the photo and the person in.
"What's the matter?" Pendrick worried about no answer.
Sam sat down on the nearest chair to her to get her breath back. Crabtree ran his hands through his hair as he passed it to Higgins to make sure he was right.
"Oh no!" Higgins breathed out worriedly.
"Who is it? Tell me." Pendrick almost demanded, seeing the worried faces.

Brakenreid was pacing around his room. His heavy footsteps were annoying anyone downstairs even if they weren't listening to him. He then stopped as he heard footsteps coming up the stairs. He quickly looked around to find something to do before the person came in. He didn't find one however and the door flung open.
"Thomas what is going on?!" Margaret asked fuming.
"Nothing Margaret. Just get the boys and we'll go out." Brakenreid lied.
"No we're not going until you tell me what's going on." Margaret demanded.
"I was just wondering about the case that's all!" He responded in a higher pitch voice.
Margaret rolled her eyes. Of course he was thinking about the case he wasn't involved in and left to go on holiday with her!
"Let me just check in. It won't take long." Brakenreid went for the phone.
Margaret grabbed his hand away and took him outside. He would have to check in later if he wanted to know anything. The holiday was more important and Brakenreid sure knew it now.

Pendrick stared around the room. Sam, Higgins and Crabtree still hadn't answered him. He was now getting impatient that they wouldn't tell him. Yes he wasn't an officer but they did ask for his help.
"Guys? Come on tell me." He said again.
"It's… It's… Clegg. It's official. He's alive." Higgins responded by throwing his hands in the air.
"It can't be. I mean hasn't he died like a million times." Pendrick was still puzzled.
"We think that everytime and yet he still appears." Sam sighed.
"He and your dad have history then?" Miss Cherry piped up, writing everything down.
Sam was going to snap if she wrote anything down she wasn't supposed to. Crabtree grabbed the piece of paper Cherry was writing on. He couldn't be sure she wasn't writing down anything they didn't want the public to know.
"Hey!" Miss Cherry shouted.
"Just checking." Crabtree said, giving it back.
"That would make sense if it was Clegg with Myers missing and everything." Higgins changed the subject.
"Good point. We should maybe find Myers first. We might find Clegg as well." Sam got out of her chair.
"But he was only just standing there. We don't know if he was involved or not." Crabtree explained.
"It's Clegg George! Of course he's involved."
"Sam, are you sure it's Clegg? Could it be anyone else?" Pendrick took Sam to one side seeing she was a bit tense.
Sam got the picture again. It was still a little blurry but his face did look very familiar. She tapped her finger on the side of the picture. She then turned to Crabtree and pointed her head outside. They both then went outside to talk privately. They left Higgins inside just in case Miss Cherry did something.
"George, what do you think? Is it Clegg or not?" Sam passed the photo back.
"I'm not sure. It could be a trick of the light. A look alike." Crabtree shrugged.
"But it looks so much like him."
"Sam, he's dead. I don't know how many different courts and coroners checked but I'm pretty sure they don't let someone live."
Sam took the photo back. She had a closer look at the person. She then walked back into the station. She pinned it on the blackboard and she saw everything Pendrick had put down since she was gone.
"What's all this?" Sam asked.
"Everything we know so far about the building. Thought it might be useful." Pendrick answered.
Sam read it all. Most of it Sam, Crabtree and Higgins had already thought of. It was nice to know Pendrick wanted to be involved though. Even if she was a little on edge with him being here.
"So this is a lot so far." Sam put her hand on the back of her neck.
"And not everything seems so important." Higgins made Sam feel even worse.
"Thanks Higgins!" Sam sighed.
"Guys don't fight. There's been enough of that today!" Crabtree stopped them from fighting as they didn't need that right now.
Sam fidgeted. It was obvious she was tired. The dark was now setting in which was never a good thing. Their best bet, as Sam didn't seem to want to go home, was to rest in the station for now.
"Alright we should get some sleep." Crabtree suggested to the group.
"I'm going to go. Need to get all of this back anyway." Miss Cherry yawned.
"And you're not going to post any of that until we say aren't you?" Crabtree made sure.
"Yeah. Good luck." Miss Cherry went out of the station house waving.
"Do we believe her?" Sam whispered.
"For now. If she doesn't we don't talk to her." Higgins answered for Crabtree.
Sam nodded. Crabtree was right as they all settled in for the night. It wasn't exactly comfortable but it would do for now. Plus if they thought of anything in the night they didn't have to go very far to write it down! Sam was the last to fall asleep as her mind kept racing around and around. She finally fell asleep as she made sure she had thought of everything for now.

Murdoch slowly read through his book. He had asked Julia to bring in different books from home. He had read them all already but as it was the only thing to do. His mind was still full of the case however. Julia had made sure to try and change the subject whenever he wanted to talk about it. It also sounds like she had told Sam to stay away until they had solved it.
"Are you still awake?" Julia said from the doorway.
"Can't sleep." Murdoch smiled as Julia joined him. Normally nurses wouldn't let any visitors in at this time but as Julia worked at the hospital they couldn't really say no.
"If you're thinking about that case…" Julia frowned.
"I'm not. Well not a lot."
Julia rolled her eyes at this response. Of course William was thinking about the case. He still watched over cases Sam was in charge of. He was so protective!
"Look, I'm going home. Do you want me to bring in anything?" Julia asked, smiling.
"I've got every book in the house. I think I'll be fine." William shook his head sort of wincing as he did this.
"Be careful. Don't stay up too late." Julia warned her husband as she kissed his forehead.
William waved his hand as Julia left. He didn't want her to leave but they all needed some rest. However that never happened around here.
He tried to get some sleep but there was a knock at the door. He sat up as far as he could without injuring himself more.
"Yeah." He said to whoever was on the other side.
The door opened. George stood on the other side of the door. William soon calmed when he saw George. He had somehow snuck in past everyone which was quite a surprise with how friendly George normally was.
"How did you get here?" William chuckled.
"Don't ask otherwise you'd have to arrest me." Crabtree smoothed down his hair.
"I won't. So what are you doing here?"
"I need some help with the case. The others don't know I'm here." George admitted as he sat down.
"Well that's risky when you're working with Sam. What do you need help with?"
Crabtree got something out of his pocket. He then passed it to Murdoch to have a closer look at. He just hoped he didn't give Murdoch a heart attack with what was on it.
"Is that who i think it is?" Murdoch's eyes widened.
"We think so. We can't be sure though. I thought I'd ask you to make sure." Crabtree said after Murdoch's reaction.
Murdoch sighed as he continued looking. It can't be true! He then looked closer. He smiled with relief.
"It's not Clegg. I'm pretty sure it's not. Hasn't got the eyepatch and his eye wouldn't be there. Plus he wouldn't stand that close to someone taking a picture." Murdoch calmed Crabtree down.
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah. Lucky for us."
Crabtree calmed down when he heard Murdoch say that. At least they wouldn't have to deal with Clegg as well in this investigation. He had too many people to deal with already!
"I heard Higgins invited Miss Cherry to the station house." Murdoch changed the subject.
Crabtree went silent, his eyes widened and he felt like he wanted to leave. He started to sweat as he could feel Murdoch staring at him.
"I don't know what you're talking about sir." Crabtree lied trying to not get into trouble.
"George."
"I think I'd better go now. Bye sir." Crabtree said sprinting for the door.
"George!" Murdoch shouted after Crabtree.
Too late he was gone. Murdoch sighed and shook his head as he knew this meant it was true. Suddenly something came flying through the window. Murdoch ducked so he wasn't covered in glass. When the glass had settled he went over to see what had happened. He winced at every step he took but it was worth it. A brick had come through the window with a note attached.
"What on earth?" Murdoch bent down to get it.
He then read the note.
"Stop your investigation or more people will die." The note read.
Murdoch looked up at the broken window. Whoever had sent it was somehow involved with the case. He hated to put his team in danger. He would have to send a message to them somehow. He would just have to find one.
