Chapter 95: Seven Dragon

"Have all the villagers been evacuated?" Erza asked.

"Yeah, pretty much." Marco replied.

"Word is they've taken refuge in a safe place." Romeo added.

"Now we can really let loose." Bisklow grinned.

"I'll show them the glorious path of a Man!" Elfman declared.

"Seven dragons…" Makarov mused. "What is this about?"

"I don't know." Mavis admitted. "But right now, our first priority is getting through this crisis."

"Shouldn't we get Asuka to a safe place?" Makarov wondered.

"Aren't your scared, Asuka?" Mavis asked the girl. "Looking at a dragon up close at a young age…" she smiled. "I bet not many children have an experience like this. in fact, as a wizard I'm sure this will become an immeasurably valuable asset. If it gets dangerous, I'll protect Asuka. For now, let's stay here."

"Understood." Makarov nodded. "I'll leave her in your care."

"This one is a fire dragon." Gray grinned. "That means, we're on Ulyo."

"Juvia." Ulyo called.

"Right." the water mage nodded.

"Focus." Gray instructed, the three mages charging up for the combo attack.

"Hit it hard!" Bisklow cheered.

"Extinguish its flames." Elman shouted.

"Ice Geyser!" Gray fired his attack at the enlarging icy orb in Ulyo's hands.

"Water Nebula!" Juvia released hers.

"Winter Maelstrom!" Ulyo let the charged up ice attack loose straight at Atlas Flame.

"It's not working?" Gray was shocked when the fusion attack had no effect.

"I don't believe it." Even Juvia was stunned. "Even though our magic should be back at full strength."

"I am Atlas Flame, a fire dragon." The fire dragon announced. "I'm going to burn down everything. And you shall bathe in dragon flames."

"Rune Magic!" Freed went on the defensive, seeing Atlas Flame was about to fire his fire beam. "Nullify that attack!"

"It just brushed off Freed's Rune Magic!" Bisklow winced, the fire beam punched through the barrier effortlessly.

"It's attacking power is unbelievable." Marco was shocked.

"And there are six more like it?" Wakaba echoed.

"Everyone, stay calm." Erza advised. "Get back into position."

"Everyone, okay?" Freed asked.

"What the hell?" Elfman cursed. "That dragon's no different from Acnologia!"

"I'd rather go with this one." Gray winced.

"It seems this isn't an opponent we'll be able to take down easily." Mavis concluded.

"Oh, come on." Makarov chided. "We still have a few trump cards."

"You're hit by my flames, and yet live?" Atlas Flame wondered. "Wizards?"

"That's correct." Makarov stepped.

"You're going to use that magic?" Romeo gasped.

"I see." Marco realized as Makarov powered up. "One giant to fall another."

"We're not just wizards." The enlarged Makarov growled. "We're comrades that are tied together by the bond of family!" with a leap, he clocked his hand back to punch the flame dragon.

"Master's attack…" Marco gaped, Makarov backing off when his fist caught fire.

"Didn't work?" Wakaba finished.

"No matter how much power you possess, you can never beat a dragon." Atlas Flame declared, sending Makarov back with a 'Fire Spin'.

"Wash Away, Susanoo!" The water torrent from the Celestial Sword's release extinguished the fire as Ulyo summoned her weapon.

"Kitten Blast!" Millianna's attacks bounced off the rock dragon.

"No good." Hibiki sighed. "Unfortunately, our magic is no match for that."

"So frustrating!" Millianna whined.

"Back up, people." Lyon stepped up. "I don't want to see a woman getting hurt."

"That last bit pisses me off!" Millianna pouted. "You pulled your punches when we fought too, didn't you?"

"That was nothing more than a match." Lyon remarked. "We're going into serious battle now. Ice Make: Snow Dragon!"

"I see." Hibiki realized. "A dragon pitted against another dragon."

"There's more!" Lyon wasn't done. "Ice Make: Ape! Ice Make: Snow Tiger!"

"Three form simultaneously." Kagura remarked. "That's the skill we saw during the Tag Battle."

"This looks promising." Jura grinned.

"Quite right." Lyon chuckled. "Although this didn't help me win in my match against you."

"I'm using it." Jura leapt onto the ape Lyon conjured. "Kagura, let's go."

"Right behind you." Kagura jumped onto the ice dragon.

"Better not leave me behind." Lyon boarded his tiger.

"Even if this sword is shattered, I shall fight!" Kagura declared. "Receive the blade of Archenemy!"

"I'll show you my power." Jura announced.

"In the name of my master Ul, I shall not be defeated." Lyon swore.

"Kagura, Jura, Lyon." Hibiki gaped. "A triple attack by a trio of big guns. This could actually work."

The rock dragon simply deflected all three mages' attacks and shattered Lyon's ice beasts with a swipe of its tail.

"Still, we can't afford to back off." Kagura stood back up.

"Well said, Kagura." Ditea voiced.

"Ditea-sama…" Kagura muttered as her Guild Guardian stepped up.

"Litana-dono…" Jura blinked when his Guild Guardian followed suit.

"Pierce the Skies, Tengu!"

"Shine upon Justice, Laito!"

"So this is a dragon's destructive power…" Rufus mused. "It's a spectacle worth remembering."

"Perfect." Orga grinned. "Jura took me out right away during our battle, so I didn't get to run amok then. Here's where I make up for it, and then some! Charged Particle Cannon of the Lightning God!"

"Gray defeated me." Rufus added. "I use this Ice Magic out of respect for him. Memory Make: Frozen Black Lightning Sword!"

"A combination attack with Orga's and Rufus' Black Lightning…" Sting muttered, the two mages combining their attacks on Scissor Runner.

"I never thought I'd see those tow fight side by side." Rouge admitted.

"It's Sabertooth's team play." Lector beamed. "Considering how it's always been every man for himself, this is amazing."

"Fro thinks so, too." Frosch agreed.

"Fairy Tail showed us how this is done." Orga grinned. "Hell, even we can change a little."

"Memories are, in a word, learning." Rufus added. "And there's no shame in learning from a great enemy."

"It had no effect?" Orga was shocked when Scissors Runner nullified the combined attack with a single roar.

"Seriously?" Sting hissed. "Not even a scratch!"

"Lector, Frosch, get back." Rouge warned.

"Can we win against that?" Orga frowned.

"If memory serves, Sting and Rouge claimed they killed dragons when they were young." Rufus reminded.

"That's half-true." Sting admitted, recalling that Weisslogia had wanted him to kill him (Weisslogia) so that he (Sting) could become a real Dragon Slayer.

"Skiadrum was ravaged by disease." Rouge recounted, remembering his was a mercy kill. "I did no more than assist in his suicide."

"It seems those aren't very pleasant memories for either one of you." Rufus remarked.

"Who cares?" Orga retorted. "Kill that thing with Dragon Slayer Magic!"

"I didn't know dragons were this strong when they're serious." Sting frowned, seeing Scissor Runner break apart a building easily.

"Even so, i wanna protect our comrades." Rouge hissed.

"Hey, isn't there some way we can take them down?" Millianna asked Hibiki who was accessing his 'Archive'.

"I'm looking into that right now." Hibiki replied. "But I think Dragon Slayer Magic is the only thing that can beat a dragon."

"It looks like there's no way to fight them other than with Dragon Slayer Magic." "Sting remarked.

"Yeah." Rouge agreed. "And we've got two Dragon Slayers here, you and me."

"Master!" Marco and Wakaba ran towards Makarov.

"Are you okay?" Bisklow asked.

"Don't worry." Makarov assured. "Just got burned a bit."

"Master's attack hit, but didn't do any damage." Juvia muttered, Ulyo was now battling Atlas Flame with Susanoo and her Intelligence Prism Stone powering her up. "And Ulyo-sama's attacks aren't even doing much, even with the Celestial Sword."

"What can we do to beat a monster like that?" Freed wondered.

"Shodai!" Gray turned to Mavis. "You're the Genius General, right? Don't you have a plan?"

"I do." Mavis replied. "There are seven dragons. And I'm sure a number of the others have realized the same thing."

"What is your plan?" Erza asked.
