Chapter 96: Taking Out Motherglare's 'Children'

"Say, Elf-nii-chan, those eggs…" Lisanna muttered, seeing Motherglare's eggs litter the area.

"They were just laid by that thing?" Elfman echoed.

"Hey, are you serious?" Romeo asked as the egg hatched.

"Now we've got a lot more than seven to deal with." Mavis remarked.

"What are they?" Lisanna gaped.

"Even though it's hard enough dealing with just one…" Romeo added.

"Laxus!" Mavis and Romeo gaped, the Lightning Dragon Slayer slamming himself into Atlas Flame.

Move." Laxus instructed. "I'll take the big one. You guys do something about the offspring."

"You can't do it on your own!" Romeo protested.

"He won't." Bisklow corrected.

"He's not alone." Evergreen added.

"We'll back you up, Laxus." Freed stated.

"Leave it to the Raijinshu." Bisklow boasted.

"You heard Natsu, right?" Mavis reminded. "It takes a Dragon Slayer to beat a dragon. Laxus, I'll let you and the Raijinshu handle of this. Gajeel, take on the other one. The rest of you, obliterate the little ones."

"Understood." Erza nodded. Everyone, steel yourselves. I slash and slash, but they keep on coming!" she hissed, as more infant metal dragons emerged to replace the ones that were destroyed. "We're not making a dent."

"Hey, Erza, take a break like Ulyo told you." Elfman told the swordswoman.

"That's right." Lisanna agreed. "We'll handle them somehow."

"Nothing to worry about." Erza assured, blocking off a metal dragonet's claw with her weapon. "I'm fine! No problem!"

"There's no end to them…" Rufus muttered, taking a breather. "These numbers… this sense of intimidation… I have no memory of it."

"Ice Bringer!" Gray's double ice blades took out the dragonet that was about to take out the Memory Make mage.

"Gray!" the blond gaped.

"Don't just stand there." the ice mage chided. "You remember the skill that took you down, don't you?"

"Well, yes." Rufus shrugged. "Okay then, by your leave, I'll use it."

"Mataku," Ulyo sighed. "We sure got separated from the others. Ice Torrent!" she let loose of wave of icy water at the dragonets from her Celestial Sword.
