Chapter 97: Sin And Sacrifice
"Ice Make: Snow Tiger!" Lyon released his attack, having he and Gray herded Ulyo and Juvia to safety, only to have four of the metal dragonets destroy his creation with a combination attack.
"Ice Cannon!" Gray's blast was also shattered similarly.
"Gray's Ice Cannon… was pulverized?" Juvia was shocked.
"It's not in my nature to be on the defensive end like this." Gray remarked. "Let's go, Lyon."
"Of course." Lyon grinned.
"Ice Make: Freeze Lancer!" Gray let his attack fly.
"Ice Make: Snow Dragon!" Lyon released his ice dragon, merging it with Gray's attack.
"Bastard!" Gray hissed, as more dragonets emerged to take over.
"The day these battles go easy for us, is the day I know we've broken reality." Ulyo joked.
"Secure the shields." Lyon told the two younger mages. "Let's go."
"Water Entrapment Wall!" Ulyo raised her water barrier in front of them, Lyon and Gray enforcing it with their ice.
"Ulyo!" Meredy called, running towards the two water mages. "Juvia!"
"Have you seen Ul?" Meredy asked. "I got separated from her."
"I haven't seen her, but…" Juvia replied.
"Cryoblast!" Ulyo's ice ball took out the dragonet whose attack was about to hit them.
"Look out!" Gray warned, pulling the three females out of harm's way.
"Don't lose focus!" Lyon barked, encasing another dragonet in ice. "This is a battleground!"
"Sorry." Meredy apologized.
"Ulyo!" Lyon yelled out a warning.
The water mage turned to see a dragonet firing its energy beam at her when Gray pushed her aside, taking the attack head on. Several more energy beams from the surrounding dragonets then blasted through the falling ice mage's body, before a single head shot took him out for the count.
"Gray!" Lyon screamed.
"The Mercury Planet symbol?" Juvia was shocked to see the Mercury mark shine brightly on Ulyo's forehead.
"Ulyo's body?" Meredy gaped. "It's transforming?"
"Could it be…" Reiana turned from her fight to see the blue light pillar erupt from the ground.
"That's…" even Lyon was stunned when Princess Isis revealed herself. "Princess Isis …"
With the glacier-shaped Parbaiba Crystal in her palms, the newly-revealed Princess started remembering.
"That powerful blue light…" Meredy muttered, the other three shielding their eyes from the burst of power that shone from the Parbaiba Crystal.
"I never thought the seal would be broken so early." Litana remarked, blasting away a dragonet with her lightning and turned towards the light pillar.
"The light from the Parbaiba Crystal is going onto Gray's body." Lyon gasped, seeing the light glitter fall onto Gray's chest.
