Chapter 108: Juvia vs. Aries! Desert Death Match!

"Hot..." Juvia muttered, standing on a sand dune. "And no one else is around. Aries, come out!" she barked.

"Solid Script: Thunder!" Levy destroyed the set the game-show was aired in with her spell after she narrowly won the quiz. "I'm closing the gate." she tapped the key on Eclipse Capricorn's forehead.

"I'm sure I've walked ten kilometers since coming here." Juvia panted as she traversed through the desert. "And even though a lot of time has passed, the sun remains directly overhead. Time really does flow differently here. Aries is in this world. And I don't beat her, I'm pretty sure I won't be able to leave it. But for Juvia, the mistress of water, the worst enemy is dehydration. At this rate, I'll run out of strength before battling Aries. Aries, where are you?" she wondered. "Aries, fight Juvia!" she shouted.

"Are you almost out of stamina, little lost lamb?" Eclipse Aries giggled as she espied Juvia from her binoculars. "Can you dig it?" she grinned, standing in front of her vehicle.

"I have to quickly defeat Aries and rejoin Ulyo-sama and the others." Juvia muttered. "It's so hot. I want to take my clothes off. But then, the sun would beat down directly on my skin. Water... is there water somewhere? That's..." she spotted an oasis in the distance. "An oasis? Water!" she hurried over. "I can drink water. A mirage..." she sighed when the illusion vanished. "No good... I can't move anymore. A magic four-wheeler..." she blinked when Eclipse Aries came in on her vehicle.

"Looks like you're having an awful time, agua-girl!" Eclipse Aries mocked. "What's the matter? Throat's so parched you can't even talk? You're no much for me, huh?"

"You're Aries?" Juvia blinked.

"That's right." Eclipse Aries grinned. "I'm the Lamb, Aries. Back in the Celestial Spirit World, I'm infamous as a hell-rising street racer. Incidentally, I love having a tan." she added, showing off the tattoos on her back. "And I'm wearing sunglasses, so even if it's bright, I don't care. Can you dig it?"

"It breaks my heart." Juvia sighed. "You've become a delinquent."

"Don't call me a delinquent!" Eclipse Aries snapped. "I'm a street racer!"

"You used to be such a kind Celestial Spirit." Juvia recalled. "Modest and with a big chest, and now..."

"it's got nothing to do with the size of my chest." Eclipse Aries pouted. "Apologize! Apologize to me, water witch!"

"There's no need to apologize." Juvia looked away. "After all, I'm just saying the truth."

"I've got it." Eclipse Aries smirked. "You must be thirsty, right?" and took out a metal tumbler which she then gulped down the contents. "That hit the spot! How's this? Surrender to me and I'll share it with you.

"You got to be kidding!" Juvia retorted. "I would sooner get dried out like a raisin here than betray Ulyo-sama."

"Is that right?" Eclipse Aries taunted. "Then you don't need this." she upturned the tumbler and let the remaining water spill onto the sand. "All right now, that I've broken your spirit a little, what do you say we get to a one-on-one duel? Eat this! Golden Horn Bomber!" she let her flying horn loose at Juvia. "You can still move like that?" she was impressed when Juvia dodged the attack. "You've got git, girl."

"I've got no strength left." Juvia realized, dodging the next wave of attacks. "If I don't win the duel fast, I won't win it at all. Water Slicer!" she sent her attack out, only to have it evaporate before it hit Eclipse Aries.

"Then your tricks don't work here, huh?" Eclipse Aries mocked. "Time to say night-night!" she summoned a sheep pen. "That was just a warm-up." she grinned, the bouncing sheep forced Juvia back step by step. Unlocking the chain around her neck, she tossed it at Juvia and locking the water Mage in place. "How's this?" she smirked, tying the bound Juvia to the back of her vehicle. "A fun ride to drive home how weak you are. What, KO-ed already?" she pouted, stopping her van to see the unconscious Juvia. "Show some fighting spirit for crying out loud. Well then, I guess I'll deliver the coup de grace."

"There is water..." Juvia looked at Eclipse Aries. "At your feet... with the last of my power! Water Cannon!" she let her water whip loose, and struck the front of the vehicle, releasing the coolant water.

"Coolant water from the radiator?" Eclipse Aries blinked.

"That's right." the rejuvenated Juvia let the water spray rain on her. "Your magic vehicle has plenty of water keep the machine cool. The moisture is soaking through my body."

"Golden Horn Bomber!" Eclipse Aries fired off her attacks.

"Your attacks have no effect on Juvia now." Juvia smiled, absorbing the horns. "Water Jigsaw!" she unleashed her tornado and sent Eclipse Aries flying into the air. "I close the gate." she tapped the key on the unconscious Eclipse Aries' forehead after the brown Celestial Spirit landed back on the sand.
