Chapter 111: Celestial Spirit Beast

"Pitiful!" Eclipse Ophiuchus mocked as Natsu charged in at her. "Trying the same thing again and again!"

"Aqua Rhapsody!" Aeon Mercury's water stream destroyed the ocarina, giving Natsu the opening to finish the Eclipsed Snake Bearer off.

"Did we do it?" Lucy wondered, the shining celestial globe had then shattered.

"The red light's disappeared." Hisui blinked.

"How was that, snake-sucker?" Natsu grinned as Eclipse Ophiuchus reverted back. "You don't underestimate Fairy Tail."

"Targeting my instrument wasn't fair..." Ophiuchus complained as she melted into star dust.

"Look, Natsu!" Happy beamed as the 12 constellations started vanishing. "The 12 constellations are disappearing."

"And that's that." Aeon Mercury grinned.

"You guys okay?" Natsu shouted, as he, Aeon Mercury and Happy returned to the group.

"The constellations are gone." Yukino smiled.

"Then Loke and the others will go back to normal, right?" Natsu grinned.

"I have a feeling it won't be that easy." Carla noted.

"I still don't feel nothing from their keys." Lucy reported.

"Hey!" Gray shouted, the others running towards them. "What the hell's going on here? So, what happened to the giant snake?"

"She wasn't so tough." Natsu bragged.

"What happened to the 12 Zodiac Celestial Spirits?" Pantherlily asked.

"If we don't see them here, then..." Gajeel trailed.

"Right, we succeeded in shutting the gate on all of them." Yukino confirmed.

"But they still haven't gone back to their original forms." Lucy pointed out.

"First, we've to escape from here." Ezra reminded.

"Where's Pluto?" Aeon Jupiter looked around to find the Time Senshi missing.

"Saturn's gone too." Aeon Mars added.

"They bailed?" Aeon Venus cursed.

"Can't be helped." Aeon Mercury defended. "Those two weren't even supposed to be here in the first place."

"What is that sound?" Mirajane asked, when a loud rumbling was heard in the distance.

"It sounds like a roar."Levy winced.

"We're not on stable ground." Gajeel reminded as fissures started forming on the ground.

"Maybe we did too much damage earlier." Juvia wondered.

"No," Aeon Mercury frowned. "It's... something else."

"Let's get the hell out of here!" Gajeel barked.

"Could this be the Celestial Spirit King's roar?" Lucy mused, wincing at the increasing louder roar.

"It sounds like he's hearty." Yukino added. "Or maybe more savage."

"Then we were too late.." Hisui realized.

"To stop Liberum Verus?"Arcadios finished.

"That is correct." Horologium appeared. "Lucy-sama... at this rate, the Celestial Spirit World will be wiped out. Please." he opened his glass case to reveal a pile of Celestial Spirit clothes.

"I'll save you." Lucy promised. "I swear I'll save you."

"The Celestial Spirit King will absorb this Astral Spirytus very shortly." Horologium informed as he started vanishing. "Please change into the Celestial Spirit clothes and journey to my world."

"Everyone else, wait for us!" Lucy swore, the four Inner Senshi materialized their henshin rods.

"Planet Teleport!" using their henshin rods as foci, the four Planet Senshi activated their mass teleport spell.

"This is the Celestial Spirit World?" Hisui wondered, the scattered group landed on a tattered and wind-laden planet.

"What is that gigantic thing?" Gajeel spotted the huge anthropomorphic in the distance.

"Don't tell me that's..." Pantherlily gaped.

"No way..." Lucy realized.

"That's..." Yukino breathed.

The Celestial Spirit King?" both Celestial Spirit mages chorused.

"The eclipsed Celestial Spirit King." Ezra concluded. "No, more like the Celestial Spirit Beast."

"Look, around his head." Cana pointed.

"Celestial Spirits inside the planets..." Gray spotted the sleeping eclipsed Spirits inside each of the planets.

"Everyone, we're coming to save you!" Lucy shouted.

"The suction effect stopped." Gajeel noted after the Celestial Spirit Beast swallowed the eclipsed Spirits.

"It's not over yet." Natsu stepped forward. "Right now, let's beat the hell out of that thing."

"Natsu's right." Ezra agreed. "This is no time to grieve. Let's go!" she gave the order and the group set out.

"Ice Impact!" Gray released his ice drill.

"Water Slicer!" Juvia's water blades followed up.

"It's not having any effect?" Gray cursed.

"Water Prison!"Aeon Mercury had already acted, teleporting both ice and water mages to safety before the Celestial Spirit Beast's fist hit them.

"Individual attacks aren't working!" Ezra shouted. "Let's attack all at the same time."

"Beast Soul!" Elfman morphed.

"Let's go!" Mira was already in her Satan Soul form.

"Card Magic!" Cana brought out her card. "Thunder!

"Solid Script!" Levy summoned her magic. "Bullet!"

"Ice Cannon!" Gray blasted the Celestial Spirit Beast with his BFG.

"Water Cannon!" Juvia followed up with a blast of water.

The three Dragon Slayers pulled a 'Fusion Trinity' with their breath attack.

"Quartet Synthesis," the four Inner Senshi charged up their combined attack. "Galactic Spiral!"

"Remind me never to mess with you girls." Gray remarked at his female counterpart as he watched the massive rainbow-colored energy beam clash in their oversized opponent.

"I'll keep that in mind." Aeon Mercury joked. "Damnit!" she cursed, her transformation reversing.

"We used too much of our Planet magic, huh?" Reiana winced as she reverted back.

"At a time like this?" Litana muttered. "This is going to suck."

"Seriously?" Ditea exclaimed when the smoke died down and the Celestial Spirit Beast was unscathed.

"It didn't have an effect on him!" Happy exclaimed.

"It's about to do something." Ezra warned when she saw the Celestial Spirit Beast shift into a relaxed pose. "Be careful."

"Water Encampment Wall!" Ulyo's water barrier was in place to block out the shockwave of the Celestial Spirit Beast's arm swing.

"All this, just by waving its arms." Carla noted, Litana having shielded her and Wendy with her 'Lightning Barrier'.

"Don't hesitate!" Ezra shouted. "Again, everyone!"

"We can't let it flail around again!" Gray led the two water mages on the attack. "Aim for the arms."

The Celestial Spirit Beast raised a finger and fired a blast of red light at Juvia, turning her into a constellation.

"What?" Carla gasped. "What just happened?"

The Celestial Spirit Beast swept his hand, the red light wave turned Elfman, Mira and Cana into constellations next.

"How do we get them back?" Wendy wondered.

"I was careless!" Pantherlily cursed, the Exceed was changed into a constellation next.

Levy pushed Gajeel out of the way of another incoming light beam, she herself was turned into a constellation.

"Roar of the Sky Dragon!" Wendy went on the offensive.

The Celestial Spirit Beast simply lit up its finger, changing both Wendy and Carla into constellations.

"What are you gonna do, Natsu?" Happy asked, the Fire Dragon Slayer lifting up a planet after Yukino, Hisui and Arcadios were turned into constellations.

"What do you think?" Natsu snapped. "I'm gonna kick his ass!"

"Is that even possible?" Gray twitched as Natsu tossed the planet at the Celestial Spirit Beast, who shattered the planet with a single kick. "Ice Make... what the hell are we supposed to do?" he cursed, his attack was cut short when Ulyo grabbed him to dodge the Celestial Spirit Beast's fist.

"Club of the Iron Dragon!" Gajeel slammed his pole onto the Celestial Spirit Beast. "What the hell? I can't tell if it's hard or soft."

"Whatever it is, I'm gonna beat it to a pulp!" Natsu swore.

"Damn you!" Gray glared. "That's enough!" he landed on a nearby planet and fired off his ice shards.

"Poseidon Trident!" Ulyo tossed her water trident in for good measure.

"Everyone, watch out for that black thing!" Ezra warned, she and Ditea slicing at the Celestial Spirit Beast with their swords when the sudden black hole absorbed Gray's and Ulyo's attacks. "You'll be sucked in if you let your guard down."

"Sword of the Iron Dragon!" Gajeel slammed his metal sword into the Celestial Spirit Beast. "I'm gonna slice you like a fish." he dragged his sword through the Beast's skin.

"Trip!" Lucy wrapped her whip around the Beast's legs and pulled.

"Happy, go up!" Natsu instructed. "Wake up, beardie!" he powered up a flaming fist. "Noisy!" he was knocked back a a roar from the Beast's mouth.

"What is this?" Ezra wondered as the Beast expelled beams of black fire from the blacks holes on its body when she and Ditea was swept off by the black flames.

"Reiana!" Ulyo looked back when the Hound Holy mage was blasted off.

"Hold on!" Gray swooped Ulyo to safety before the black fire hit them.

"Look out!" Litana grabbed Lucy before they were engulfed by the black fire.

"Roar of the Iron Dragon!" Gajeel countered the fire beam shooting at him, only to be overwhelmed by the flames' intensity.

"How powerful is this thing?" Gray muttered, the group were scattered on the ground.

"I didn't realize it'd be so..." Ezra winced.

"Crap..." Gajeel cursed. "Don't got much magic left in me..."

"Natsu!" Lucy spotted Natsu on a planet.

"I smelled it." Natsu stated.

"We can move." Gray helped Ulyo to her feet.

"If you can move, you can still stand." Ezra and Ditea stood up.

"If you can stand, you fight." Gajeel agreed.

"I caught Loke's scent." Natsu explained. "Inside that thing's roar. I'm positive, Loke and the others are still alive in there. Let's go, Happy!" letting the fire beam blow them to a nearby planet, Natsu had Happy circle the planet to give them a speed boost. "Max Speed!" both Dragon Slayer and Exceed rode into the flames.

"The idea being if you can't hurt it from the outside, try it from the inside?" Gray realized what his long-time rival was thinking.
