Chapter 117: Wizards vs. Hunters

"We're here?" Gray blinked, once the group landed.

"Thanks to Warrod-sama, it took no time at all." Erza noted.

"That's amazing magic." Wendy gushed.

"He's not the Ten Wizard Saints for nothing." Carla pointed out.

"You got motion sickness?" Lucy gaped at Natsu.

"Even from something like that?" Ulyo was surprised.

"Look at that." Carla pointed to the chucks of ice in the distance.

"All the rocks are iced over." Gray was shocked.

"Sun Village lies just ahead." Erza stated.

"All right, let's go." Natsu grinned. "My motion sickness will go away as soon as I eat at the village."

"That's not the situation." Lucy reminded. "Everything is really covered in ice, even the buildings." she noted, the group waling into the village.

"According to Warrod-sama, so were the residents." Erza added. "Except... I don't see any of them." she looked around.

"Huge!" Natsu and Happy exclaimed, Natsu stopping in front of a frozen giant. "Is this a village of giants?"

"This is a surprise." Erza remarked. "I didn't think humans this big existed."

"Anyway, we gotta save these people." Natsu declared. "I'll melt the ice with my flames." he lit both hands with fire and set to work on a foot of one of the giants.

"The old wooden man said this wasn't ordinary ice." Gray reminded.

"Warrod-sama is right." Ulyo confirmed, resting a hand on an ankle. "All of these giants are in a cryogenic stasis."

"What is this?" Gray pressed a hand on a toe. "I'm picking something from the ice. A kind of magic I've never felt before."

"Your magic can't melt it, either?" Erza asked.

"Figures it wouldn't be that easy." Lucy noted.

"But, it's similar to somebody's magic." Gray stated.

"What is this?" Drake snorted, the three Treasure Hunters appeared on a frozen wall. "Someone beat us to it? What a nuisance."

"They're, like, all women and children?" Hiroshi mocked.

"Who are you people?" Erza inquired.

"We're the Treasure Hunter Guild." Drake declared.

"Sylph Labyrinth" Hiroshi finished.

"Sorry, but the buried treasure here is ours." Drake announced. "So you'll have to get out of our way."

"We got no interest in it." Gray replied.

"Then, like, what are mages doing here?" Hiroshi asked.

"We've come to melt this ice and save the residents." Happy replied.

"Then, you're in our way!" Drake and Hiroshi snapped.

"The Eternal Flame is a magic artifact that's been burning for hundreds of years." Drake stated.

"For treasure hunters like us, it's, like, an S-class treasure." Hiroshi added. "But thanks to the damned giants who were protecting the village, we couldn't get close to the treasure.

"But for whatever reason, the giants are flash-frozen." Rala remarked.

"So this is our chance to get the Eternal Flame." Hiroshi grinned.

"But we heard the flame is really important to this village as its guardian deity." Wendy pointed out.

"If you take it, that makes you thieves." Lucy reminded.

"You're telling treasure hunters not to take treasure?" Hiroshi retorted. "It's, like, obviously their own damn fault for letting it be taken away."

"This isn't getting us anywhere." Drake tsked. "Let's get the treasure before the mages interfere."

"Sorry to break it to you, but the flame's frozen, too." Gray reminded.

"Don't underestimate them like, treasure power of treasure hunters." Hiroshi smirked. "Even the ice will melt with this, like, secret treasure. Moon Drip." he brought out the vial of liquidized Moon Drip.

"The magic Lyon used at Galuna Island..." Lucy recalled.

"Then with that, we can return the village to normal." Natsu realized.

"After them!" Erza ordered. "Capture the treasure hunters!"

"Come to think of it, where's Erza?" Lucy asked as the group, minus Erza chased the treasure hunters into the forest.

"She stayed behind at the village to look for other clues." Wendy replied.

"Guys, you do realize it'll take a lot more of the small amount of Moon Drip they have to melt the ice, right?" Ulyo reminded.

"This is a pain." Drake looked at his team. "Let's do it."

"Drake, get into position." Hiroshi told the sniper as he and Rala blocked the Fairy Tail group's path. "When a few mages treat us lightly, it's, like, all over."

"Anyone who gets in our way is eliminated." Rala added. "Treasure hunting is a dangerous job."

"Our job's dangerous, too." Natsu retorted.

"You spoke too soon." Gray snapped. "We're going to kick your asses."

"What is this guy?" Natsu barely managed to dodge Rala's hammer.

"Iron Fist of the Fire Dragon!" Natsu charged in with a flaming fist, which Rala blocked with his hammer before throwing Natsu off.

"Ice Make: Freeze Lancer!" Gray let his ice spears fly.

"Have a taste of my chain blade." Hiroshi deflected the attack and closed in. "Like, punch it!" he extended his sword, smashing it into a frozen tree and toppling the tree in front of the girls.

"Water Shield!" Ulyo's barrier of water was in place.

"A gun?" Lucy gasped, seeing the bullet trapped in front of Ulyo's shield.

"From where?" Happy and Carla looked around.

"I'm surprised you were able to block that." Drake smirked. "But the next one will go right through your head. My 74 is thirsty for blood."

"I smell gunpowder." Wendy sniffed. "Lucy-san, up there!" she pointed.

"Leave this one to me." Lucy took out her keys. "Gate of the Archer, I open thee! Sagittarius!"

"I don't believe it..." Wendy was shocked when Drake's bullet smashed through Sagittarius' arrow.

"Don't look down on a natural born sniper." Drake grinned.

"The, how about this?" Natsu renewed his fight. "Wing Slash of the Fire Dragon!"

Rala merely blocked off the attack with his hammer.

"Ice Make..." Gray formed an axe.

"Like, slice and dice!" Hiroshi rushed in, slicing the ice axe into half.

"It ends here." Drake was confident.

"I can't afford to lose to a sharpshooter as it were, moshi moshi!" Sagittarius declared, Drake having fired off three shots in unison and retaliated with his arrow, the said arrow split into three in mid-air and deflecting the bullets off.

"Poseidon's Trident!" Ulyo let her solidified weapon fly.
