(Cave near Arlen Tea Kettle 8:40 p.m.)

Allison Garfield didn't know how much longer she could last. She was hungry, thirsty, sweaty, and her wrist were starting to bleed from iron cuffs digging into her skin every time she moved. The worst part was that Ted Wasonasong came in what seemed like every hour or so but did nothing to help, he even tossed the keys to her chains on the ground just out of her reach. Surprisingly the creature in the cave with hadn't tried to kill her yet, On one of her attempts to grab the keys, Ted came in and chuckled as he saw Allison struggle.

"I'll give you this Mrs. Garfield, you are quite the fighter, most people in your situation would've given up hope."

"Why are you doing this," Allison begged, "I've done nothing to you or your family."

"That is true, Dr. Garfield," Ted agreed, "my intentions were not to kidnap you but the man you've become quite acquainted with these past months."

It took Allison less than a second to figure out who Ted was talking about.

"What did Hank ever do to you, Wasonasong?"

"Nothing at all," Ted calmly stated, "except ruined Nine Rivers chances of hosting the PGA, destroying my McMansion I had built in his neighborhood just to name a few of the occasions when he opposed me."

"Hank told me all this and I must say from a professional standpoint that you're an arse."

"I don't care what you think of me just know this; Hank is in prison over night for assaulting Vergil Min but that doesn't mean they can't extend his stay in the slammer if evidence connecting him to your murder comes to light."

He pulled out another key and walked over to the creature.

"You should thank me for sedating the griffin during your stay," Ted suggested, "if I hadn't my pet would've made you into a tasty treat."

"No one is going to believe that Hank murdered me." Allison stated

"If a simpleton like Buck Strickland, who nearly succeed in framing Hank for the murder of his mistress Debbie; then I certainly can convince everyone he killed you."

Ted knelt down and unlocked the chains that were keeping the griffin from killing Allison.

"Now in exactly twenty minutes the drugs in the griffin's system will wear off leaving you vulnerable for an attack," he explained before heading towards the exit, "so if I were you I'd try one last time to escape."

With a cruel chuckle Ted left the cave leaving Allison more desperate than ever to escape.

Meanwhile the Cadillac had reached the area where the Tea Kettle was located. Bobby and Jade got out of the car, gathered up their weapons, and began the hike towards the landmark.

"Wait." Jade called out

Bobby stopped as she donned her crusader's mask. Jade then took out another mask and handed it to Bobby.

"Here, put this on so Allison won't recognize you."

"Thanks," Bobby said as he slipped the mask over his head, "I'm not quite ready to tell her my secret yet."

As they headed towards the cave two other vehicles were closing in. The first one was none other than the Bugabago with Dale Gribble behind the wheel. The other was a white car similar to Bill's, this vehicle belonged to Greg Stokes. After receiving a call from Cameron he wasted no time in getting to the tea kettle.

"Something's not right here," Greg thought to himself, "not long ago this werewolf went after two dangerous criminals; however it now decides to kidnap a psychiatrist, either this werewolf really needs therapy or there's something else going on."

He continued to make sense of the situation as he drive towards Allison's location. Meanwhile Bobby and Jade were discussing their plan for rescuing Allison from the griffin.

"Almost to the Tea Kettle," Bobby announced, "the cave should be right on the other side."

"Good," said Jade, "I'll distract the griffin while you rescue Cameron's mom."

Bobby quickly spun around and placed his hand on Jade's shoulder.

"Hold up, don't you think I should take on the griffin since I'm a werewolf?"

"Exactly, your strength and speed is key to saving her," Jade stated, "you'll be able to break her free from her restraints then get her out quicker than I could even with my training."

"I'm not going to let you fight that creature alone," Bobby protested, "from what you said this griffin sounds like it could be vicious."

"I'll be fine; let's get going before it's to late."

Jade made her way pass Bobby who briefly stood there watching her as she prepared her bow and arrow for the ensuring battle.

"I hope your right." thought Bobby as he began following her

Moments later as they approached the cave Bobby's heightened hearing picked up something.

"Oh, God," Bobby shouted, "Allison's in danger, we got to move, now."

With increased speed the duo raced towards the cave. Inside the cave Allison was panicking as she tried to free herself from the chain for the griffin was now starting to wake up.

"HELP!" Allison shouted knowing in her mind it was pointless

Her scream only alerted the griffin to her presence as it got up on all fours then slowly approached her until she could feel its warm breath creeping along her skin.

"No!"

The Griffin let out a cry; not a cry to further intimidate Allison but a cry of pain caused by an arrow that pierced its right foreleg. Allison glanced over and saw two masked strangers approach her. At first Allison was terrified that they were going to hurt her but then she noticed one of them had a bow and arrow.

"Please, help." She pleaded

One of her rescuers hurried over, knelt down then with impressive strength broke the chains that kept her prisoner. Her other savior was keeping the griffin at bay by firing arrow after arrow but the beast wouldn't go down.

"Get her out of here!" The archer shouted

Allison tried to walk only to fall down after a few feet.

"Here allow me." The strongman offered as he picked her

With one arm wrapped around his shoulder's the strongman easily escorted Allison out of the cave while the archer covered them from behind. Once out of the cave she gave her rescuer a weak smile before passing out.

"Dr. Garfield!" Bobby shouted

He quickly but gently laid her on the ground and checked for a pulse. A sigh of relief cane from Bobby as he felt it; it was weak but it was there. Seconds later Jade emerged from the cave, she noticed Allison on the ground.

"She's okay," Bobby informed, "but she needs a doctor."

"Let's get her to your car," Jade said, "I'm running low on arrows."

Before the duo could do anything a loud shriek emitted from the cave. Jade looked over at Bobby; neither of them said anything but they both knew what the other had to do.

"The keys are in my car, take Allison and go," Bobby ordered, "I'll cover you."

"No," Jade protested, "we discussed this, you're faster than me, I'll hold off the griffin."

Bobby removed his mask thus allowing Jade to see his face.

"I know we discussed it but things changed," Bobby stated, "I know we haven't been BFFs lately but that doesn't mean I want to see you get hurt, so please take Allison and go."

Jade was about to say something when another shriek came from the cave. Seeing that they were running out of time convinced Jade to go with Bobby's plan. She carefully picked Allison and with her best effort began carrying her down the path.

Bobby took his place in front of the cave preparing himself for battle.

"Bobby!" Jade's voice called out to him

He glanced over and saw she was only a few feet away.

"Forget what I said, it going to take a werewolf to defeat the griffin."

Bobby smiled in confidence as he turned back towards the cave. Jade watched passively as Bobby transformed before she resumed her task of getting Allison to safety.

"Okay, Hill VS Griffin, lets go."

On cue the griffin emerged from the cave tackling Bobby to the ground. Despite the several arrows sticking out of it, the Griffin was able to effortlessly hold down Bobby's left arm leaving him to defend with his right. When the griffin tried to attack with its beak Bobby managed to stop it by grabbing the threat with his right hand.

"Geez, your breath stinks." Bobby insulted

The griffin kept snapping at Bobby who began to struggle not only from preventing the griffin from getting a bite but also from trying to free his łeft arm. Unfortunately he wasn't the only struggling for Jade was having trouble getting Allison back to the car. She managed to make it back to the Tea Kettle but even with her training carrying the motionless body of a full grown woman was a diffuse task to accomplish. Suddenly someone stepped out in front of her then aimed a shotgun at her.

"Not so fast, Jade." They shouted

Jade rolled her eyes as the wanna be monster hunter, Dale Gribble stood before her.

"Mr. Gribble, I'm actually glad your here," Jade said, "help me carry Cameron's mom to Bobby's car."

"Sorry, I can't do that for I'm the one who shall claim praise for rescuing Allison." Dale stated

"We don't have time for this," Jade groaned, "Bobby is further up this path fighting a griffin; so either help me or go help him."

Dale only response was to scare Jade into dropping Allison by shooting his gun into the air. However instead of Jade letting go of Allison a shriek filled the air.

"What was that?" Dale asked

"YOU IDIOT!" Jade screamed

Dale got nervous and turned around to run but stopped at the sight of Greg Stokes who had his gun out.

"Hey, you're the big shot that investigated those robberies awhile back." Dale stated after recognizing Greg

"I am and you're Vergil Min's biggest supporter," Greg retorted, "care to explain why you and this..."

Before he could acknowledge Jade's presence a large winged creature appeared in the sky. Without hesitation Greg and Dale began firing at the beast. Giving Jade the chance to slip by them or she thought.

"Not so fast," Dale shouted as he grabbed Allison's arm, "she's staying here."

Jade wanted to protest but the Griffin had landed and Stokes was having trouble keeping the beast at bay. Even though she knew it was a bad idea Jade gave Allison to Dale then went to assist Greg. Standing side by side the duo fired multiple rounds of arrows and bullets but the Griffin remained standing. After the last of their ammo were used up they could only watch as the beast approached.

"Damn, can anything take this monster down?" Greg asked

"Yes, but its more of a someone." Jade a seed in her Joan voice

On cue Bobby appeared and pounced on the griffin's back.

"The Arlen Werewolf!?" Greg exclaimed

Greg watched in awe as the werewolf gripped tightly on the griffin's wings as it tried to drive it away from them. Next thing Greg knew the ninja that stood next to him sprung into action after pulling out a sword then charging. He turned to ask Dale for his gun but he was nowhere to be found. Luckily he left his gun behind which Greg quickly picked up.

"Some monster hunter." Greg thought before he joined the battle

By this time Bobby was thrown off the griffin's back and landed in the ground where something from his pocket fell out. Bobby got back up and using his claws slashed at the beast. Thus a miraculous harmony begun as Bobby attack from the left, Jade from the right, and Greg from the front. Their combined efforts seemed to take effect as the griffin's movements began to slow. Bobby and Jade fell back in order to come up with a finishing blow. However to their surprise the Griffin noticed something laying on the ground and calmly walked over and using its claws picked up the gold ring. Suddenly the griffin's attitude changed instead of the vicious monster they had been fighting just seconds ago was replaced by a gentle beast. Upon seeing this Jade literally smacked herself in the head.

"Of course, griffins only get violent if threatened or you take their property." Jade explained

"Unbelievable," Greg remarked, "but we've been attacking it, so what is stopping it from killing us."

The Griffin then as if it understood Greg's question turned around and began flapping its wings before taking off.

"Wow!" All three said in awe

Suddenly a bright light emitted from the ground blinding the beast. The trio traced the light's source to a search light that was set up in the opened area a few yards from the path. What shocked them more than the search light was the news crew that had quickly set up.

"No, no, this isn't good." Jade stated
