Disclaimer: I do not own King of the Hill
Here's part 2 of the mid season finale.
Bobby growled before he transformed then tackled the demon. Bobby didn't give Iago a chance before he picked him up and threw him out of the hall outside of the office and into the gym. Iago managed to get up just as Bobby entered the gym.
"Enough." Iago shouted as he lifted his left hand to use his powers to revert Bobby back to his human self then with his telekinetic ability pinned him to the wall
"I'm not here as your enemy."
"I should've known Cyrus wasn't smart enough to come up with this plan." Bobby shouted
Iago then saw Jade, Berry, and Cameron enter the room.
"Jade, it's good to see you again." Iago said with a sly smile
"Who are you?" Jade asked
"He's the demon who took your dad's soul." Bobby informed
"He more gave me his soul." Iago corrected
Jade slowly walked towards Iago as she started chanting over and over the spell to paralyze him. Iago chuckled at Jade's feeble attempt to paralyze him. He then noticed Berry and Cameron had joined her in chanting the spell.
"I'm higher on the corporate ladder," Iago mocked, "you think a pathetic stun spell stop me?"
Then another voice joined in which turned out to be Bobby. Iago went to strangle Bobby with his powers, but to his shock his hold started to weaken. Suddenly Iago found himself on his knees and Bobby free from his psychic grasp. Jade then told everyone to stop chanting before she walked up and decked Iago. She then pulled out a knife forged from iron and pressed it against his throat which to everyone's surprise burned him
"Return my father's soul right now, you bastard" Jade ordered
"This knife may harm me, but it can't kill me." Iago informed
"I know." Jade agreed before she stabbed him in the shoulder
Iago grunted as the iron burned him as she slowly pulled it out. Jade went to stab him again only to have Bobby stop her.
"What are you doing," She asked surprised by his actions, "he's the only one that can return my dad's soul"
"I know, but we need to know why Cyrus is sticking around and this bastard knows why." Bobby explained
"Funny you should mention Cyrus," Iago said, "he's why I'm here."
"We know you're working on this together," Bobby said, "I assume he's the new Zoma?"
"No, he's a demon who specializes in sports deals, he's been collecting souls of athletes, coaches, and team managers since the birth of the Olympics in ancient Greece."
"He made a deal with Coach Thompson, but I found it ripped to pieces in the office." Cameron summarized
"Which can only mean he went back on the deal." Jade concluded
"Points to Rizzoli and Isles." Iago joked
"Coach Thompson was suspended this morning." Berry reminded everyone
"He must have ripped up the contract afterwards because he was no longer the coach, "Bobby said, "meaning the contract was already voided."
"That puts Sherlock and Watson on the board."
"Shut up." Jade said as she stabbed him again
"That doesn't answer why he's still here." Cameron brought up
Iago was getting exhausted watching these teens failing to figure out something so obvious.
"The players," Iago shouted, "he's after the players."
That's when everything suddenly made sense.
"The petition was really another contract," Bobby realized, "what's one less soul if you have twenty-eight extra?"
"What about your dad?" Cameron asked
"Ah, yes, the newly appointed Coach Hill, don't worry his soul already belongs to Zoma, once she gets the courage to retrieve it." Iago informed
Berry looked down at his watch to see it was five minutes past seven.
"Frak, the game has started."
"Go," Jade said, "I'm staying here with Iago."
Bobby motioned for Berry and Cameron to go on without him. He then approached Jade who had the tip of her knife at Iago's throat.
"Jade, I promised you I'd help you find Iago which I did," Bobby calmly said to Jade, "but there are innocent lives at stake, we need your help."
"He has my dad's soul." Jade growled, "I'm not leaving until he returns it."
"Stop Cyrus and bring him to me then I'll return your father's soul to his body." Iago promised
"You're lying."
"I came here to stop Cyrus myself, but you two and your friends prevented me from accomplishing that task."
Jade pressed the knife closer to his throat until it began to burn and draw blood. She heard Bobby pleading for her to go help stop Cyrus. Then for some reason she remembered two parts of the Crusader oath, never leave no monster breathing and the primary goal of a Crusader is to protect the people from the supernatural threat.
"The spell will last four hours," Jade stated as she removed her knife, "I'll be back after we stop Cyrus."
She reluctantly walked away from Iago as her and Bobby left to help Cameron and Berry.
The stands of the Arlen High football field were filled with spectators preparing for the game that would determine who would go to State. The Arlen Mavericks or the McMaynerberry Mustangs. In the front row sat Allison Garfield who waved down on the field to Hank, who was dressed up in every coaching gear the school's budget could buy. The game had been delayed for Vergil Min was at that moment finishing up his speech.
"I like to close by saying you all that once again I'm honored to be the mayor of this great town as without any doubt we'll be going to State."
The crowd cheered as Vergil was escorted off the field by security. Hank and the Mustang's coach met in the center as the players got into formation.
"So, Hill, did you teach your boys how to snap their ankles." The Mustang's coach mocked
Hank didn't say anything as he shook the jackass's hand. He wished his team luck before returning to the sidelines. The ref started the game and right away Arlen got the ball which ended up in the hands of Joseph Gribble. What Joseph didn't know was that Cyrus was hidden in the crowd ready to manipulate the outcome. Joseph was nearing the twenty-yard line when two large Mustangs charged at him. In the stands Cyrus smiled as he snapped his fingers on his left hand. Time seemed to slow down as Joseph watched the two opposing players fall down a few feet from him. Using his athletic skill, he jumped over the fallen Mustangs then ran the rest of the way to score a touchdown.
"The first touchdown of the night was made by Arlen High's star quarterback, Joseph Gribble." The announcer recapped
"That's my boy!" Dale stood up and cheered; this would normally embarrass Nancy, but in this case, she joined him
"Alright, Joseph," Hank cheered from the sideline, "we keep this up we'll win this thing, then it's off to state."
Cyrus smirked as the people cheered around him.
"This never gets old." He thought
Meanwhile in the parking lot, Bobby had returned to his car to grab a Mavericks jersey from the trunk.
"You realize you can't wolf out or else everyone will know that you're the Arlen Werewolf" Jade said
"Yeah, I'm hoping for once that things go smoothly." Bobby hoped
"I pray to God they do, but if they don't I like to say I appreciate you helping me capture Iago."
"I promised I would, then I delivered."
Jade stepped closer to him and gave him a kiss on his right cheek.
"Let's go get him, wolf boy."
They left the parking lot and joined up with Cameron and Berry who were standing next to the stands.
"What's going on?" Bobby asked
"Arlen is leading fourteen to nothing." Berry informed
"I mean do you see Cyrus?"
"Yeah, he's up there." Cameron said pointing into the stands
Bobby followed the line to where Cameron was pointing. Sitting right next to Dale Gribble was Cyrus.
"Funny, the town's leading expert in the supernatural doesn't know there's a demon sitting next to him."
"What do we do," Jade asked, "we can't just go up and stab him."
"We have to get him away from the stands."
"How?"
Bobby thought for a moment then had an idea. He looked up at Dale, cupped his hands then yelled.
"JOSEPH GRIBBLE SUCKS!"
This caught the attention of not only Dale, but Cyrus who jumped up from his seat and made his way down.
"You take that back, Bobby Hill." Dale shouted back
Cyrus struggled to get through as he neared the bottom row of seats.
"Move it, you lousy apes." Cyrus fumed as he shoved the spectators out of his way
He finally got out of the crowd and raced around to the other side of the stands. When he reached the corner, something struck him knocking him to the ground. He got up and saw Bobby, Jade, Berry, and Cameron standing in front of him.
"Let me pass." He ordered
"Not until you free the players from their contract." Bobby retorted
He then noticed the knife Jade was holding.
"I never thought I see a Crusader and a werewolf team up."
"Berry, Cameron, would you like to do the honor?" Jade asked
The cheers of the fans filled the night sky as Berry and Cameron chanted the binding spell. To Bobby and Jade's amazement Cyrus went down faster than Iago. He growled as he landed on his knees unable to move. Berry and Cameron finished the chant then went silent.
"You may have bound me, but you can't kill me." Cyrus mocked
"Iago said something similar to that about my knife." An amused Jade stated as she held up said knife
"Iago is here?"
"Yeah and were taking your sorry demon ass to him." Bobby revealed
For the first time in his immortal life Cyrus began to sweat. Bobby walked over to him and grabbed his left arm.
"Not so fast."
The four of them including Cyrus looked to see an angry Dale Gribble pointing a gun at them.
"So, you're working for the demon that took Herve," Dale wrongly guessed, "I expected this from the Arlen Werewolf, but not from Herve's own daughter."
"What about us?" Berry asked referring to him and Cameron
"Honestly I don't know anything about you two."
"Mr. Gribble please," Bobby begged, "this man is a demon, a demon who tricked Joseph into signing away his soul."
"Nice try, Bobby, now step away from the man."
Bobby was getting ready to back away when suddenly Cyrus headbutted Bobby in the stomach, stood up then glanced at Dale who yelped when his gun flew from his hands and into Cyrus's. Then with impressive strength he snapped the gun in two.
"NO, I paid $800 for that." Dale cried
"Why didn't the spell hold?" Cameron panicked
"If it couldn't hold him then that means…" Bobby began to realize
"That it didn't hold me." Iago finished the thought as he appeared behind Cyrus
