Hey guys! Yeah, I'm FINALLY updating this. Sorry it took like, a year.

He said he wouldn't let me leave the den for a whole week after that. And because I was confined, so was he.

"Don't you ever want to go out?" I asked him the next day, when we were lazing around his den. I was sitting on a soft cushion with my chin resting on my pulled up knees."I mean, you've never really been one to stay in one place for very long. Aren't there some queens out there who need your fleeting attention?"

Tugger looked up at me and smiled. "Oh, I think you're more than enough for one tom to handle."

A traitorous voice in the back of my head was very pleased at that. I didn't like the thought of him flirting with other queens. Which was... new. Of course I never enjoyed it, but I guessed when I was with Mac, I hadn't noticed as much. But that was really our nature, flirting around. Neither of us were settlers. But it was nice, having it just be me and him. I knew I'd loose what ever exclusiveness we had when I left his den, though. He wouldn't have to feel obligated to stay with me. How much longer would I even be staying in his den? Demeter would be coming back in a matter of days, and there is no way she would let me stay. What would even be my excuse for staying? 'No, Demeter, I don't want to leave Tugger. I like being selfish and having him all to myself?'

Tugger had a life too, and who was I to keep him from it?

I shook my head to clear my thoughts. I shouldn't be thinking like this. After all, we were just friends and casual flirts, right? It's not like I liked him or anything serious like that. Right? I couldn't. Even if I did, it's not like he would ever like me back.

I let out a frustrated groan and hit my forehead against my knees. Why was life so confusing?

"Bomba, are you okay?" Tugger asked, mistaking my groan for one of pain. I look up at him and sighed.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Just bored." I lied.

"Well, then let's do something diverting!"

I raised an eyebrow at him. "I thought you said you weren't going to let me out of your den?"

"We don't have to go outside to have fun."

"Fine then. What do you have in mind?"

"We could play a board game."

I laughed. "You own board games?"

"Well, no. But I have cards! We could play poker!"

"You do not want to play poker with me." I purred teasingly, stretching my legs out in front of me.

"Why not?" He raised his chin in a challenge.

"I used to play with Mac all the time. He always cheated, so I just had to learn how to beat him." The memory left an unexpected stab of pain in it's wake.

Tugger seemed to notice my changed expression, and made another suggestion. "What about a movie? I've got a butt ton of them."

"Oh yeah? I never took you for the movie collector kind of guy."

"Are you kidding? Movies are the perfect excuse to cozy up to a queen." He said, winking at me. I laughed.

"Rum Tum Tugger, are you flirting with an invalid?" I asked in mock surprise.

"I'd flirt with any invalid as pretty as you." He purred seductively, wiggling his eyebrows.

"Tugger, you flatter me." She cooed back.

"It's not flattery if it's true."

"What ever, let's just watch a movie you dork."

Tugger rolled his eyes at the name calling, but got up to search through his movies anyways. I internally smiled at our exchange. He never really let anyone see the dorky side of him but me. I missed seeing him like this lately. We used to joke around like that all the time when we were kittens. But when we got older, the distance between us became larger. He started flirting with all the queens, and I with the toms. So it was nice to have this time with him now.

Tugger pulled out a few movies from a pile of trash behind him.

"How about Transformers?"

I gave him a glare and he took the hint. Giant robots and over-used CGI wasn't my thing.

"Okay, how about Pirates of the Caribbean?"

"Much better."

He pulled over a cushion big enough for the two of us to sit, and slid the DVD into the DVD player. The TV was old and was barely held together with a few strips of duct tape. But it played, so that was all that mattered.

As the movie started, Tugger joined me on the cushion. I snuggled into his mane for warmth. He smiled down at me and placed a strong arm around me, pulling me closer. A contented sigh escaped my lips against my will, but Tugger didn't seem to notice. So we watched the movie in silence, quietly enjoying having each other in our arms, even if it was just for now.
