Happy Sunday! I decided to give you guys a little treat and update again. I hope you all enjoy it!

Chapter Seven

Edward's POV

There were cars packed in the driveway. I was nervous, because I recognized nearly all of these cars as being Alice's friends, our female cousins, and our aunts. I groaned as I stepped out of the car and grabbed the big bag of sweets.

When I opened the door, I could hear the sound of loud giggling. I paused, almost walking back out of the door.

It was too late though; my mother had come around the corner when she heard the door open.

"Oh, Edward it's you. I didn't expect you," She spotted the big bag in my hand, "What's that?"

"I just visited a bakery and bought a lot of dessert, I wanted to see if you girls wanted some."

"Awe!" She gushed, grabbing my arm, and pulling me into the living room, "Ladies, my Edward brought us some treats!"

The girls awed and giggled, making me blush. My aunt Mary jumped up and pinched my cheeks before giving me a big hug.

"You are such a doll!" She said, placing a big kiss on my cheek.

Alice was sitting in the middle of the sofa, Rose, and Bree next to her. Bree was our younger cousin, she was about sixteen, but she looked up to Alice like a big sister. Charlotte was also here; she was Peter's wife who was Jasper's best friend and Alice and she had hit it off.

There was also the Denali sisters and their mother. They were blood related but my father was very close with Eleazar and Carmen. They have been friends since they were little. I was fine with Kate and Irina, but Tanya and I were like gasoline and matches. Occasionally we'd have a relationship, but it was all rooted in sex. I think she was more affected by it than I was. Now looking at her, I had the strangest feeling of guilt in the pit of my stomach.

"What did you bring?" Alice asked.

"Uh, some cookies, some cupcakes, a couple cakes, and these cookie sandwich things. I had one at the bakery and it was really good."

"Well, bring it in here, I'll put it on plates." Mom said, pulling me into the kitchen. Mary followed us into the kitchen to help.

I put the bag on the table and let my mom unpack everything.

"Wow, it looks really good," Mom said, "Is this from that bakery on Bloor street?"

"Did dad tell you about that?" I asked.

"He mentioned it," She said as she put the food on large serving trays, "You must have scared that poor girl silly if she gave you all this."

"Actually, I uh paid for it myself." I said.

Both of their heads snapped up.

"You paid for all of this yourself?" Mary asked.

"Yeah," I shrugged.

"Why?" Mom asked.

"I don't know," I blushed.

"Well, it looks delicious," Mary said. Mom was staring at me, trying to figure me out. I grabbed the cookie tray and brought it out to the living room.

Mom and Mary brought the rest of the stuff.

"Thank you Edward," The girls gushed.

"Alright, I should get back to work." I said, inching towards the door.

"Okay honey," Mom stood and kissed my cheek, "I'll see you later."

I nodded and rushed out of the door. As I headed down the stairs, a hand wrapped around my arm. I looked back to see Tanya, holding me.

"Edward, I wanted to talk to you," She said, flipping her strawberry blonde hair.

"I gotta get back to work Tanya." I said, "I'm sure I'll see you later."

"No, it's important," She cleared her throat, "I've been thinking about you a lot, and I'd really like to try to make this work."

"I don't think that's a good idea Tanya." I said.

"No, but I do. We're both older, our wild days are behind us. I think we could turn this into something real if we tried." She moved closer to me, "And, I really miss you."

"Tanya, I just don't feel that way anymore about you. I want to be friends, but I don't want to be in a relationship. I'm sorry."

She looked shocked. She wasn't used to me rejecting her. But I truly didn't feel the same way about her now. We could be friends, but I wasn't interested in anything more.

"Oh. Uh, okay."

I gave her a forced smile and practically ran to my car. I didn't want to stand there anymore with Tanya. I just couldn't anymore. Usually, I was always down to have a little relationship with Tanya. It's always fun, a little violent, and definitely sexual.

But seeing Bella today made me feel something I'd never felt before. Of course, I felt like an obsessed stalking even thinking that. I didn't know that girl. I couldn't help it though. There was some pull that made me want to turn my car towards Bloor street and go see her again.

As I was driving, my phone rang. It was Alice. I wondered why she was calling me since I had just seen her not five minutes ago.

"Where did you get all of these desserts?" She demanded.

"At this bakery on Bloor street. It was called Swan's Bakery." I said.

"I want you to get me an appointment with the baker. Everything was so delicious; I want them to bake for my wedding."

I smiled widely. Now I had an excuse to go back.

"Of course!" I said eagerly, "I'll go get an appointment with her now."

"Thank you so much!" She said, "Tell her I want her to make a bunch of samples of her desserts. I'm planning on having a dessert bar. And possibly have her do my cake."

"Sure, I can do that. No problem."

I hung up the phone rushed back over to Bloor street. It was a good thing I was the boss because I would've definitely been fired.

I parked my car and walked back to the bakery. It was really busy now. I was slightly annoyed that I wouldn't have a moment with Bella.

"Oh, you're back," Maggie said, "Good to see you again. Did you enjoy the desserts?"

"Yeah, my mom and my sisters really freaked out, they loved it so much," I said, "I was wondering if I could get a word with Bella? If that would be alright?"

Maggie nodded, "Let me see if she's available."

Maggie poked her head into the kitchen and asked if Bella was able to talk to a customer. Bella walked out, brushing off some white powder from her apron.

"Hello, was everything okay with your desserts?" She asked nervously. As if she had done something wrong.

"No, no everything was absolutely perfect," I said, hoping to calm her down, "Actually, it was so perfect that my sister wants to book an appointment with you. She's getting married soon and she wants you to bake for her wedding. If that's alright."

She nodded, "That's perfect. When would she like an appointment? I'm pretty much free on Saturday after twelve. Why don't you give her my number and she can contact me."

She looked around for something, then cursed, "Sorry, I don't have a business card. I'll just write it down for you."

"That's perfect," I said; I'd have her number. I had to be careful though, or I'd look like a stalker.

She wrote it down and handed me the piece of paper, "Here you go. Just tell her to give me a call."

"Thank you so much for this." I said, "My sister is very eager, so I apologize for her."

She laughed, "It's her wedding, she's allowed to be excited. When is it?"

"It's December 15th."

She nodded, "Alrighty then. I better get back to work. I'll see you later."

I nodded, "See you later, then."

Again I was reluctant to leave. She turned and went back into the kitchen. I nodded towards Maggie and headed out the door. I really needed to get to work. I had mountains of paperwork that required my attention.

I got back to the office and couldn't help but think of Bella. She was driving me crazy. I had already called Alice and gave her the number, but now I just wanted to call her myself and take her on a date.

I sat down in my chair and stared at the blank computer screen. I couldn't get motivated to do my work. I couldn't stop thinking about Bella. I wanted to know everything about her. I had tried to investigate online, but I came up short.

I grabbed my phone and dialed Jasper's number. He picked up immediately.

"Hey," I said, "Um, I need a favor."

"Yeah sure," He said, "Anything."

"I need you to do some research on a woman named Bella Swan, it could be short for Isabella, or Isabelle, but I'm not sure."

"Of course, what kind of information are you looking for?" He asked.

"Everything you can find. The more the better." I said, "Even if it's miniscule. I need to know everything."

"Sure," He said, "So, who is this chick? A little information will help me."

"Well, she owns a business called Swan's bakery, on Bloor street."

"Oh, that girl who shot James in the ass," He laughed, "You trying to find a way to get to her? You should let James burn the building down, that will teach—,"

"No!" I said a little too frantically, "Uh, I mean, no. I just want to know more about her."

"Why?"

"Because I do. Mind your business." I told him, "Just do this for me please."

"Okay, sure. No problem."

"And don't tell anyone. I don't want anyone knowing."

"Yeah I won't say anything." He said.

"Thank you. Get back to me as soon as you can."

I leaned back in my chair and smiled. Jasper was the computer's guy. He would be able to find stuff about her. I knew I was probably being ridiculous, but I just couldn't help myself. I needed to know more about Bella Swan.
