Jade's burst of optimism left everyone confused. Yet they agreed to accompany her to the hospital no questions asked. The arrive twenty minutes later where they were happily greeted by Jade's mom, her sisters, and brother. They all walked into Herve's room who was to their joy awake and sitting up in bed.

"Dad!" Jade cried as she ran up to her father and hugged him

"Great to see you, my little gem." Herve said as he hugged her back

"I'll be," an amazed Hank said followed by his famous chuckle, "how did this happen?"

"I was sitting here reading about an hour ago when suddenly I heard a noise coming from Herve," Emma explained, "I alerted the doctors, they came in and were surprised that he was responsive to all their test."

"I woke up a half hour after that," Herve added, "I can't believe I've been in another coma for six months."

Bobby stood by the door to give Jade and her family room to celebrate. He smiled as Jade continued to hug her father.

"I believe it's customary to say thank you."

Bobby slowly turned to see Iago. His eyes turned yellow and then he let out a small growl.

"We both know you're not going to transform in a hospital," An unintimidated Iago stated, "like I said you should be thanking me."

"I'm glad Jade's dad is alright, but why did you return his soul?"

"She gave me Cyrus as she promised and I in return gave her father's soul back," Iago explained, "plus I through in two freebies one for each of you."

"Freebies," Bobby questioned Iago's generosity, "what's the catch?"

"None, hence the free part of the word, enjoy them for they'll be the only ones you get."

"So, what, are we friends now?"

"No, we simply teamed up against a common enemy," Iago answered, "I guarantee will meet again, but as enemies."

Iago vanished, leaving Bobby to figure out what he meant by freebies. Suddenly he heard shouting come from the room and raced back in there. What he saw shocked him, Herve was sitting on the edge of his bed freely moving his legs. Everyone was astonished by his miraculous recovery. The doctor was brought in to examine him, but even he didn't have a clue, however Bobby did and by the look she gave him so did Jade. Unfortunately, one of the doctors came in and informed that all non-family members had to leave. Bobby was the last one to leave not before taking one final look at the reunited LaRue family. He smiled has he was happy that something good came out of tonight's ordeal.

(Hill Residence 10;30 pm)

Bobby laid in his bed wide awake unable to get the nightmarish images of Joseph's death out of his mind. He had a gut feeling that Dale was going to retaliate against him, even though he saw that Cyrus was the one who took his son from him. The whole situation with Dale was crazy, for one Dale hadn't revealed his identity to the town or his dad (though the latter already knew), sooner or later something had to give. Then Jade popped in his mind, he had almost lost her tonight, seeing that bastard waiting for an excuse to snap her neck. He hadn't felt that helpless since Chane and his friends shoved him to the ground and made him literally eat dirt back in middle school just right outside his room on the other side of the fence. He thought things would be different when he first got his powers, but in the year since he got them, he lost his mom, Ladybird, and now Joseph, plus Allison almost died along with his father on two occasions. Then of course there were the time he almost died at the hands of the ghost of Solomon Volker.

"Why am I beating myself up," he thought, "everyone has off days, even Superman, but I've saved a lot of people also."

He heard the voices of Iago and Death echoing in his head he recalled both saying he was important, destined for something, but he didn't have a clue what they could mean. All he could piece together is that he wasn't giving these powers randomly.

(Arlen High-Two weeks later)

The next two weeks went too quickly as if they never happened. A small memorial service was held for both Joseph and Coach Thompson, whose body was found three days after at the landfill. They didn't say how he died or how he got there, but Bobby and the others knew Cyrus was responsible. Without Joseph the team didn't have enough players for no one even attempted to fill the position out of respect for Joseph, thus giving McMaynerberry an automatic victory, luckily, they got crushed badly at State. It was the Thursday before Thanksgiving and Bobby was sitting at his usual table with his friends, who were all discussing their plans for Thanksgiving. Berry was excited because for once his family was coming to Arlen instead of him and his parents flying out to them. This meant that if something supernatural showed up he wouldn't miss it this time. Cameron explained how excited she was to experience her very first Thanksgiving since moving to America at Bobby's, since her and her mum didn't have anyone to celebrate with last year. The most excited was Jade, her family were going back to Louisiana to not only celebrate the holiday, but also her dad's recovery. Bobby sat there and smiled as his friends rattled on about their plans.

Despite everything that has happened in the past six months; Bobby was glad to see that his friend's spirits weren't shattered. This gave him hope for whatever Vergil Min had planned they would be ready to stop him.

(?)

Vergil Min was walking down a long hallway, each side housed what appeared to be glass sealed cells. As he walked passed them it is revealed that each one contains a different type of creature. Many of them either growled or tried to bust out as Vergil came into their sight. One of these poor creatures was the now vampiric Bill Dauterive.

"Let me out, you son of a bitch," Bill cried, "I'll make you and Wasonasong pay for doing this to me."

Min only chuckled at Bill's empty threat, he soon reached the cell he had came to visit. Inside was a young man with light brown hair curled up in the corner. At that moment Selena had entered the cellblock and made her way to Vergil.

"How is our favorite prisoner doing?" She asked

"Surprisingly well, considering the condition we found him," Vergil stated, "I'm glad we were able to slip away when those demons attacked a few weeks ago, if they thought he was here they would rip this town apart to find him."

"Thankfully the Arlen Werewolf was able to stop them."

"Please, Selena, both you and I know for a fact that particular werewolf didn't do anything."

"Of course," Selena said before handing Vergil a file, "I gathered up everything you wanted about the subject."

Vergil opened the file that held several pages of information, the first page was the one that he was the most interested in for it had Bobby Hill's name printed on it.

"Excellent," Vergil said before looking at the person in the cell, 'it seems you'll get your rematch with the Arlen Werewolf sooner then you thought, what do you think of that, Mr. Lamar?"

The prisoner raised his head to reveal that he was indeed Jason Lamar, whose only action was forming a sinister smile on his face.
