[ Lots of condensing! Like I've said in previous chapters, I'm going to condense the two or so years in the next story, and start the android arc! Which is very exciting. I have also decided that I will most likely be continuing the story past the call arc and to the end of the buu arc, or saga. Which ever you want to call it. ANY WHO, I started school and other things have been popping up. I am very sorry for the boring chapter, and I promise more action and romance in the chapter to follow! Yay for those! Comment and message freely, and thank you for the support! I've reached 100 comments, and I couldn't of done it without all of you. ]

Calina could feel blood rushing throughout her entire body, her breathing was rapidly increasing. She felt as though the space inside the chamber was trying to push her body into a small ball. Putting more and more pressure onto her limbs and body, Calina still struggled to stay on her feet.

" How did Kakarot withstand such pressure for so long.." Calina spoke allowed to herself. Fed up with how poorly her body was performing..

" If Kakarot could take over one hundred times Earth's gravity.. How-is it that I'm only able to-breech ..seventy times.. What does he posses that I do not." Calina's sentences seemed to become one word, as she struggled to breath.

Her head began to hang, the weight of her own body was becoming too much to hold up. Her dark locks of hair were drenched in sweat, and had started to collect onto her face and neck, clouding her view.

Calina's arms hung limply as her head was stuck on a downward position, resting on her chest.

" Hey! Hey!..." Calina faintly heard a knock on a glass window that was held in one of the Gravity Chamber's walls.

Calina managed to lift her head, hair being pulled down by the gravity, she struggled to move.

" You've been in there for a whole day! Hey! Don't you think its time to come out! " Calina looked over to see Yamcha's body outside the small glass window. Calina let her head fall back and onto her chest.

' Go away…' Calina thought to herself.

Had it really been a whole day? Doubtful. Calina felt as though she had only been in the chamber for a few hours.

' He probably wants some time to train in here.. fat chance, weak human.. as though he could even handle this.'

" This isn't funny! You're going to hurt yourself." Yamcha's voice was muffled, as the chamber was fairly thick. However, Calina's excellent hearing could easily decipher the muffled tones.

Calina's mouth let out a sick hiss as she attempted to snap back at the human. However, her body was too weak to talk. Calina caught her breath, sweat pouring out of every pour. Running off of her skin and gathering in small puddles beneath her.

' I couldn't save Zero.. or Torrin.. I wasn't even strong enough to beat Freiza..' Calina's back was bent in a hunch, her arms becoming heavier and heavier as she felt a hard click, the gravity chamber began to shift.

"Eighty times, Earth's gravity." A female announcers voice rang throughout the chamber. Calina'a eyes widened as she felt the air thicken further. It was as though her body, and not the air itself, was becoming heavier. Calina's body had begun to shake, and she could feel her sanity slowly slipping from her. The weight was just too much. She had to hold on to her mind, she couldn't afford to transform right now.

From the outside eyes, Calina appeared to be having some sort of full body seizure. Her limbs shaking uncontrollably as she attempted to adjust to the gravity that was pushing down on her. Inside her head, however, she was calm and collected.

' What do I need.. What do I need to possess to reach the Super Saiyan level..' Calina's mind raced. Perhaps it just wasn't in her DNA, or maybe her small body wasn't capable of holding that large of an amount of energy just yet. Maybe she wasn't destined for greatness, like Zero used to always tell her, maybe she was just a low level Saiyan fighter. Not capable of anything else, but blowing up planets and following orders.

Calina was lost in thought as her body finally collapsed onto all fours. Still shaking she brought up her head. Not having the strength to wipe the hair from her eyes, she tried her best to find the control panel within the chamber.

Her vision had just begun to haze. It was lucky for her that she had such high pain thresh holds. Her Saiyan tail was tightly hugging her waist. She began to crawl, like a child.

Unable to walk with the high amount of gravity within the room, she struggled her way across the room. Inch after inch, until finally she reached the control panel. It seemed like miles away, Calina pulled up her head just enough to see where the release button was. At least four feet above where she was currently occupying.

With one last push, she started to climb up the wall. Pulling up, further and further until her vision was almost non-existent. Finally she just closed her eyes, and continued to climb.

"Ninety times Earth's Gravity." The female's voice rang through the room and Calina's bright blue eyes shot open. The room started to click again, as the gravity prepared to reset further. Calina straightened her back and in one last pull, lunged her body upwards, slamming her head onto the release button.

Within seconds the air in the room began to thin, and Calina took a deep wheezing breath of fresh, light air. Body collapsing to the ground as she started to laugh. She had pushed herself to eighty, almost ninety times gravity. Although frustrated with her overall performance, she was elated at the fact that she had just survived such a harsh environment.

Moments after the gravity lifted, the door to the chamber opened. It hurt to move, and Calina's neck started to have spasms as she lifted it to see her visitor.

" YOU took long enough! " Calina recognized the man's voice before she started to make out his malformed figure. Her eyes were still shot, she'd have to rely on her other senses for the moment. Calina started to laugh once again.

" What is so funny? Hm? You are taking precious training time I could have had. WHAT IS SO FUNNY!? " Calina listened as Prince Vegeta made his way into the chamber. Moments later Yamcha followed him up the ramp and into the Gravity Chamber.

Calina quieted down and simply laid still. Vegeta stepped over her and looked at the systems monitor.

" Ninety times Earth's gravity huh..How sad.." The prince spoke in a low tone, looking down at Calina. Calina attempted to open her eyes yet again, and still all she could see was a foggy light. Vegeta noticed and lifted his foot underneath Calina. He rolled her over so she was on her stomach, and again so she was on her back. All the way to the door of the gravity room. Calina finally ended on her stomach, arms in a push up position.

" You're a jerk Vegeta, you couldn't of just picked her up.." Yamcha'a voice rang through the chamber and into Calina's ears. Calina started to smile.

" Mind your own business weakling, a Saiyan never asks for help. Especially one that is still conscious." Vegeta scoffed at Yamcha as the prince started to mess with buttons next to the monitor. Resetting the system for his own training session.

Yamcha's snappy comeback was intrupted by Calina's groaning. The young Saiyan female attempted to push herself up, but half way into a pull push up, she collapsed.

Vegeta put his nose to the air and immediately started sniffing the air, as if some thing in the chamber had caught his interest. Finally be brought his head down and looked at Calina and started to laugh.

" Kakarot had better keep his son away from you..Hah!" Vegeta emitted one last laugh before turning to the monitor once more. Yamcha looked at Vegeta confused.

" What does that mean Vegeta? "

Vegeta ignored Yamcha's question and Calina knew why. Vegeta must have noticed that she was in heat. The fact that he mentioned keeping Gohan away from her, now of all times, made Calina urge a smile.

" What was she even training at? " Yamcha barked at Vegeta. Fed up with being ignored

Vegeta whipped his neck around so his eyes were dead locked with Yamcha's.

" DO I LOOK LIKE SOME SERVANT WOMAN! HMMM?!" Vegeta's question was more rhetorical then actually questioning.

Yamcha quieted down and shifted his gaze from Vegeta and to the monitor. Vegeta currently had the training gravity set at one hundred times Earth's gravity. Below that was the history of previous gravity levels. Calina's was stuck at ninety times Earth's gravity.

" NINETY TIMES! WHAT.. There's.." Yamcha turned around and looked at Calina's collapsed frame.

" no.. way.." Yamcha turned and glanced at the screen once more, mouth gaped open.

" How did you survive.. " The human male was shocked, Vegeta greeted his awe with harsh laughter.

" Idiot, she's a Saiyan. Not some puny punk like you.." Vegeta spat at him, turning to finalize his changes on the screen of the monitor.

Yamcha looked across the chamber at Calina. Calina had started to laugh again. Over tired and amused with how her limbs refused to move.

" You two need to leave, you are using up precious training time that I could be using. Now, out! " Vegeta turned and placed his hands on his hips, an annoyed, arrogant look on his face.

Yamcha scoffed at Vegeta and turned to leave, pausing as he passed Calina. He bent down to help her get to her feet.

Calina felt Yamcha's hand on the back of her shirt. Lifting her to her feet. Body shaking, Calina tried to catch her breath. Waving her hand infront of him, Yamcha let go of her clothing and let her stand on her own.

Calina felt as though she was learning to walk again. Her legs wouldn't stop wobbling and she finally got the energy to levitate. Her arms and legs falling limply to her sides.

She left the gravity room and set herself down on the soft grass outside the chamber. Taking a deep breath in, she started to smile.

' If Prince Vegeta is starting his training where I just left off, maybe I'm not too far behind..' Calina thought to herself.

' I need to become stronger.. I don't want to loose.. any one else..' Calina thought to herself as she clenched her teeth together. Slowly pushing up again, she staggered to her feet.

Yamcha was still a few yards away from her. Calina turned her head to look at him and smiled. " What human.. what do you want.."

Yamcha looked annoyed, he turned and left the grassy area where she and him were standing. Calina heard the door to the gravity chamber close, and she started to make her way into Capsule Corp.

Inside she was met with Bulma and Bulma's mother. Both of whom were elated to see her.

" What the heck did you do to yourself!?" Bulma quickly got up from her sitting position and walked over to her.

" Oh my, I'll put some tea on.." Bulma's mother gracefully got up from her seat, beautiful golden blonde locks bouncing atop her head.

Bulma's hair was straight today, and it elegantly fell over her shoulder's and framed her face.

Calina's smile shifted into a small side smirk as Bulma ran over to her. Tugging and pulling at her arms and clothing.

" Any longer in there and your clothing would have just fallen off of you.." Bulma scorned Calina.

Calina lifted up her arms and zoned out as Bulma inspected her body.

" Well for being in there for almost twenty hours, you sure look fine.. That's a Saiyan for ya.."

Calina yawned and asked if she could be excused to shower.

" Of course silly! But I want you to have dinner with me and my family tonight, do you think you could manage that? " Bulma looked up at Calina with a smile as she finished examining her arms.

" You know you're just a kid.. you really should be trying to have fun or something.." Bulma stood up and shrugged her shoulders.

" But… training is fun.." Calina had a questioning look on her face. Bulma just sighed and waved her hands towards the wing of Capsule Corp that held the guest bedrooms.

" Just go and clean yourself up." Calina obediently left and headed towards her room.

At this point, her cloths felt like paper. She didn't take them off, instead she ripped them off her body and tossed them to the ground. They were garbage now anyway.

Calina let her feet touch the cool surface of the porcelain tub before she turned on the scolding hot water. Putting up a single arm to hold herself up, she bent her back and let all of her weight rest on that one arm. Allowing for every inch of water to run down her back, face and body. She didn't move from this position for another twenty minutes. Only then did she move around and wash her body and hair.

Calina stayed in her towel and rummaged through the cloths Bulma had gotten her. Most were way to flashy, but there were a few that were decent. Calina found a pair of white shorts that buttoned. They were a little short for her taste, but they were a gift, so she wouldn't complain. Sifting through the shirts she found a small grey, stretch bra, and an appealing dark blue shirt. The shirt had short sleeves and was accented with a small dip at the neck line. She put these on and started to brush her hair.

Calina shifted uncomfortably until she figured out there was no spot for her tail to fit in the shorts. She fixed this by using her fingers to poke a small hole in the back of them. With a small satisfied smile, she continued to brush her hair.

Her black locks of hair had begun to stretch past her jaw and now were touching her shoulder blades on her back. It made her itch, a little. Her bangs were too long also. Calina looked on the dresser where she had found the brush, and she saw a small round tie. Grabbing the tie she flipped her head down and back up. Putting her hair up and into a ponytail. Her hair problem was temporarily fixed.

Calina left her room just in time to catch Bulma in the living room area. The blue haired scientist was all smiles.

" Well while mr. grumpy is training, I think all of us girls should enjoy a nice quiet dinner." Bulma flashed her a smile and began to walk into another room, Calina followed her.

Bulma's mother was still cooking, and Calina felt her spirit refresh itself. The scent of cooking animal meat met her nose, and she felt as though she had just spent a few hours in a rejuvenation chamber.

Mrs. Briefs noticed Calina was in the room and immediately asked her for help.

" Oh honey. Could you do me a favor and take the roast out of the oven for me?" Mrs. Briefs spoke to Calina, and immediately after, started to hum some sort of melody.

Calina walked over to Mrs. Briefs and looked down at the cooking beast within the hot oven compartment. Opening the door she reached in and grabbed both sides of the pan and pulled up and out the dead animal.

" Don't burn yourself! –" Bulma looked over at Calina, as she placed the pan on the counter next to her.

Her body relaxed as she watched Calina release the pan and look over to her.

" Burn myself on what..?" Calina spoke, shooting her a questioning look. Bulma just shook her head, dismissing her question all together.

Calina enjoyed eating with Bulma, and her mother. She listened as the two talked, and Bulma complimented Calina on her cloths. Calina looked down at her garments and smiled. " Well you bought them, so I hope you like them."

Bulma looked at her for a moment with a blank stare before bringing more food up to her mouth. Calina ate until she was very full, and soon after, she noticed that she still had some sun light left.

" Bulma, would you happen to know where Kakarot and Gohan might be? " Calina spoke, looking out the window. The sun had just begun to touch the horizon.

" Hmm.. Well the last time I talked to Goku, him and piccolo were training way up north in the snow.." Bulma questioned herself for a moment, but eventually shook her head in agreement.

Calina turned to face the window again. She would have to wait a few more days before she would go and find them. She didn't want to make Gohan upset again.

Calina packed a few of her cloths into a bag, and added a few plastic bottles of water and some prepackaged food. She threw the bag over her back and prepared to leave Capsule Corp.

She quickly mentioned to Bulma where she was going, and left the building. Taking to the skies and without another word, she disappeared into the horizon.

" You know you could have shown up sooner. I would appreciate someone else to talk to besides.. well.." Piccolo stood next to Calina, looking down at her. Very annoyed.

Calina looked confused for a moment, before looking up at Piccolo and then over to Gohan and Goku.

The two Saiyan boys were laughing and playing in the water with a very large fish. Laughing uncontrollably at the notion of catching the large fish and eating it.

Calina wanted to laugh, but Piccolo looked tense. Shifting her gaze up to him, she spoke.

" Did you want to discuss any specific training method you'd like to use.. Maybe hand to hand with no power ups.. or maybe we should ban flight for the time being to work on our ground skills.." Calina spoke in a clear, confident voice.

Piccolo looked down and started to smile.

" I'm glad you showed up kid..."

A rush of red flushed across Calina's cheeks as she quickly looked away from Piccolo. Pushing down a smile that could emerge from her face at any moment, Calina stayed stoic and spoke up for the two of them.

" Well, while Gohan and Kakarot find something for dinner, how about we restrict flight for the time being… Maybe we could focus on form and chi flow.."

Piccolo smirked and gave a small nod.

" I've been relying too heavy on power, and I've compromised my form.. I've gotten too comfortable with my strength.. I don't want to loose my speed either.." As Calina spoke she looked down at her hands. Flexing them into fists for a moment.

Calina spoke blatantly, and Piccolo looked down at her. Appearing a little shocked at how Calina had just evaluated herself.

Calina took a deep breath and held it in for a moment. Taking a few steps back she exhaled a large breath, and as she did she began to crouch. Bringing up her bent elbows and flattened palms, Calina prepared to spar Picocolo.

Calina and Piccolo immediately dove at one another. Throwing combinations of punches and kicks. Calina noticed that her speed had, infact, decreased. This irritated her, and distracted her enough to have Piccolo send a slamming blow into her abdomen. Sending her body hurtling through the forest. Calina's body bounced and slammed off of tree after tree.

Calina finally rolled to a stop on a clear, grassy patch of land. Her eyes clenched closed, a dull throbbing still coming from her stomach.

Quickly pushing herself to her feet, Calina turned to see the mass amount of down trees that she just took down with her body. She could faintly see Piccolo's frame in the distance, with a wide smile, her body seemed to flicker as she darted back at him.

" You really.. didn't have to Gohan.. Really, even when I was younger, I never celebrated my birthday.." Calina looked uncomfortable. The narrow bridge of her brow was fussed together, as she stared intently at the ground. She shifted her arms and shoulders, her posture constantly changing. She was nervous.

Calina had been training for over a year now, and she had been too focused to really concentrate on anything else. So this little break was much needed. Today was not infact her birthday, but Gohan had insisted on celebrating it nonetheless.

" Close your eyes, okay? " Calina listened to Gohan's words intently. Closing her eyes, she attempted to stay still. She was sitting on the soft grass, legs crossed infront of her. Calina had decided to let her hair grow a little, and for the moment it was tied up in a high ponytail.

Calina felt her heart beat increase, she started to nervously shift around again. She couldn't remember the last time she had spent alone time with Gohan. She had been training non stop for so long, it felt almost alien, to not be training.

" Eyes closed, right? " Gohan's voice echo'd from in back of Calina. With a deep breath, Calina began to nod. Silently Gohan slipped behind her.

' Stop being so nervous..' Calina thought to herself. She could feel her heart beat increasing with anticipation. Calina could smell Gohan's scent getting closer to her own. Her heart beat increased further.

" Alright! Now, go ahead and open your eyes! " Calina slowly peeked open her eyes on Gohan's command.

The sun had just begun to set, and the area where they were sitting had an ideal view. As Calina opened her eyes, the harsh rays of the sun bathed both her and Gohan. Within minutes their shadows stretched along the grass behind them.

" Its vanilla cake with chocolate frosting! Pretty awesome right? My mom made it for you.. " Calina looked down at the gift Gohan had offered her. On a small circular plate, was a well formed, chocolate covered desert. Calina felt a wide smile wave across her face. As her eyes seemed to light up with the oncoming setting sun.

Gohan was only a few feet from her resting on his knees, Calina looked up at him. No longer nervous, she smiled at him. Gohan leaned forwards and started to talk to her.

" I know today isn't your actual birthday, but since you wouldn't tell me I figured we could celebrate any way. My mom- " Gohan proudly spoke to Calina, and also had a large smile on his face.

Calina had never met a Saiyan so compassionate.. It was such a rare quality to find in a mate.

Calina delicately reached infront of her and pushed the plate of cake aside. Sliding along the grass that was under them. Cutting Gohan off, she pushed herself to her knees and reached up both of her palms. Cupping both sides of his jaw, Calina pulled his lips onto her own.

Calina's lips pushed against his, and within moments of touching, Calina felt him push his own against hers. Pulling away for a moment, Calina stared at the ground. Her arms and body felt feeble. As if it wasn't going to be able to hold up her weight.

Gohan pushed forwards again and lifted up Calina's head as he began to kiss her again. Calina inched towards him and wrapped her arms around the back of his neck. Pulling away for a moment, she started to smile.

" I've missed you so much.." Calina relaxed her shoulders and bent her head forwards, allowing her forehead to rest on his.

Calina felt Gohan pull away from her and lightly kiss her forehead. Pulling away from one another Gohan smiled as he took a deep breath.

" I know, I've missed you too.. We've been training so much.. I've kind of gotten lost in everything.." Gohan's facial expression seemed to dim, and Calina reached her hands out and ran them though his unruly hair.

" You know, on Planet Vegeta.. Only female Saiyans have hair that constantly grows.. Male Saiyans are born with the only amount of hair they will ever have.." Calina let out a small laugh and Gohan shook her hands out of his hair.

" It's been a rough year, okay? " Gohan smiled and mocked her as Calina brought down her hands and put them on her own lap.

" You're so compassionate… and kind.. Gohan there aren't Saiyans like you where I come from.." Calina got lost in her own words for a moment. Remembering what her life used to entail: Training, eating and the occasional mission.

" Well my dads the nicest person you are ever going to meet.. and well, never mind. Vegeta isn't a very nice person.." Gohan spoke, lost in his own train of thought.

Calina started to laugh. Prince Vegeta had never really been the kindhearted type.

" Well.." Calina trailed off for a moment. ".. Saiyan men are all normally the same.. They run on instinct, they're ruthless and unforgiving.. It's just the way we are as a species.." Calina paused and her once large smile started to fade.

" ..so.. once in a generation.. sometimes not even that, a Saiyan is born that has the ability to feel sympathetic.. to have compassion. That one Saiyan, then has the ability to go further then any other Saiyan.. Because we reach our highest potential when we can really hone our emotions. So becoming a Super Saiyan, is very rare.. Finding a Saiyan that can really understand the feelings of another creature is.. very rare.."

Calina seemed to get quieter the more that she spoke. Shifting her weight onto the ground, she stretched her legs out on the grass.

" So when a Saiyan can infact, feel every deep emotion, they have the potential to do great things.. Your father, and you.. Gohan, you two are the ones who will save this planet.. Not me, not Prince Vegeta.." Calina took a deep breath in and sighed. She began to smile again, gaining courage.

Gohan looked taken back, his mouth was open and his expression was empty. Calina felt her anxiousness and started to smile further.

" Don't look at me like that.."

Gohan snapped from his stupor when Calina spoke to him. Looking puzzled for a moment.

" When Krillin was killed infront of Kakarot.. That is what sparked his transformation.. And you Gohan, if your father, your mother or anyone else you truly hold dear to you were killed infront of you.. You would snap too.. But those of us who have truly purged our emotions.. Well it's just a little harder to get to that level. To find our feelings, our passion again."

Calina didn't lose her smile, and infact, her outlook seemed to lighten. Calina used both of her hands to grab onto Gohan's clothing, yanking him towards her she kissed him again playfully. Gohan pushed back at Calina, and pulled away from her for a moment. Only to shift his mouth to her neck. The moment his hot breath touched the edge of her skin, Calina felt her whole body pull at his. Pushing herself away from him, she quickly grew to her feet. Her chest was panting, and her mouth open from lack of air. She started to smile.

Bending down and picking up the small plate of cake, Calina started to power up. The wind picking up around her as her chi began to rise. Taking a few steps back she turned, back arched.

" First one to the camp fire gets the cake.."
