(King Kone: Two days before Thanksgiving)

Bobby, Berry, Cameron, and Sarah had spent most of the morning going around town to various stores getting things before the mobs of Black Friday swarm in and pick the places clean. They were all sitting in a booth enjoying milkshakes as they discussed their plans for the rest of the day.

"I wouldn't mind stopping by Mr. Booker's store." Berry said

"I'm surprised Mayor Min didn't shut that place down." Cameron commented

"Mr. Booker managed to convince the mayor that his store could help people protect themselves from the supernatural."

"Although he had to remove the dark arts section." Bobby stated

"This place sounds interesting." Sarah said

Mr. Booker's store was at that point pretty much an agreed upon destination. They left the King Kone and headed over to the Wizard's Chamber. When they arrived, they were surprised to see that the place was busy. Normally when they went it was either just them or a few other people. Upon entering they saw that some of the shelves were half empty and several people were carrying stacks of books. They waited for a few minutes as the crowd died down giving them an opening to speak to Mr. Booker.

"What's going on here?" Bobby asked getting Booker's attention

"Amazing isn't it," Artie said, "ever since Vergil Min became mayor; the number of customers has nearly doubled each week."

"Why?"

"People want to defend themselves from the supernatural and my books help them do exactly that."

"We can see that." Berry pointed out

"Best part is that Mayor Min pulled some strings and has arranged for Ilan Ezra to make an appearance here in January after the holidays."

Berry eyes widened in excitement after hearing his favorite writer was coming to Arlen.

"Cool!" Berry shouted causing some of the other customers to stare

However, his bout of glee came to an end when someone chuckled. They looked to see a group of people walk up to the counter, each of them was carrying several books. Bobby recognized these people as Ward Rackley and the Coven of Artemis, a group he was briefly a member of a few years ago.

"Everyone knows that Ilan Ezra is a hack," Ward stated, "his knowledge of magick and the supernatural is the same as the lady who wrote Harry Potter."

"Leave J.K. Rowling out of this." Cameron said defensively

"Typical, an English girl defending Harry Potter."

Bobby stepped in front of Cameron.

"Okay, Ward, you had your fun," Bobby said, "just buy your books and leave."

Ward stared at Bobby a moment until he recognized him.

"Well, if it isn't my former apprentice, the faux White Wizard."

"You know these weirdos?"

"I'll explain later."

Ward and the rest of the Coven completed their purchases then left the store. Bobby went on to explain his history with the Coven as they browsed through the remainder of the books. Berry was jealous that Bobby was a member for he recalled seeing him dressed in a purple robe for about a week in middle school. Then Bobby explained how he quit the Coven after he realized that Ward and the others were simply delusional nerds.

Soon they all had picked out a few books and placed them on the counter. While Mr. Booker was scanning the barcode on each one a third party entered the store. Artie, along with Bobby and his friends turned to see a woman with long light brown hair. She wore a navy-blue jacket over a white long-sleeved shirt, brown cowgirl boots, and a pair of dark denim jeans. One detail that got Bobby's attention was her gold belt buckle with a deer on it. He watched as the woman approached the counter.

"How can I help you this afternoon, Ma'am?" Artie asked

"I need any books you have on werewolves." She answered

"I'm a little short on that particular subject, I have some books about Greek Mythology on sale."

"No, thanks," the woman declined, "do you know when you'll have some more werewolf books in?"

"Not until after Christmas." Artie informed

"Any other stores I could check out?"

"Mayor Vergil Min had all the other stores like mine closed."

"I know you have a limited supply but do any of those books give tips on how to track one."

Both Bobby and Sarah were starting to get uncomfortable as the woman kept badgering Mr. Booker. Eventually Mr. Booker gave in and handed the woman a thick book written by Ilan Ezra, which he promised would help her track down a werewolf, but also advised her from doing such a thing. The woman ignored him as she headed out of the store.

"People like that scare me," Artie admitted, "but, they are good for business."

He then returned to the books that they picked out and completed the transaction.

(Hill Residence)

It was nearing sundown when the Cadillac pulled into the driveway. Bobby had just dropped off Berry at his house and was now helping Cameron and Sarah carrying in the items that they bought that day. They entered through the glass door leading into the living room where they saw Hank sitting in his chair; he was watching a sports show that was talking about the upcoming Cowboys' game on Thanksgiving.

"I don't understand why they're even discussing this," Hank said about the guys on TV, "the Cowboys are easily going to beat the Lions."

"Unless one of the Cowboys stops to grab a cup of Gatorade." Bobby joked

Cameron and Sarah could tell by the way the Hill men chuckled that this was an inside joke. Cameron then noticed her mother in the kitchen with Tilly. She noticed that both women were wearing aprons that appeared to have patches of flour on them.

"What's my mum and your mother doing?" Cameron asked

"She's giving her pointers on some traditional Hill family Thanksgiving desserts." Hank explained

"Hopefully it goes better than when my dad's mother tries to teach her to cook." Cameron added

"I assume its never went well?" Bobby guessed

"Let's say that an incident during my seventh birthday would've rivaled your Boston Tea Party."

"Who doesn't like pumpkin?" they heard Tilly shout from the kitchen

"Cameron and I are allergic." Allison shouted back

Hank sighed as he got up to defuse the tension that was building up in the kitchen. Cameron decided to tag along for she knew how to calm her mother down. This left Bobby and Sarah alone in the living room where they went over and sat on the couch. Neither of them said anything as they both could perfectly hear everything going on in the kitchen. It was five minutes in when Sarah decided to speak up.

"I knew you said that this Mayor Min guy was making people act crazy," Sarah said, "but seeing that woman in the bookstore demanding those books for the soul purpose of hunting you was frightening."

"She was sane compared to Mr. Gribble and his Ratters." Bobby informed

"I don't doubt that; however sooner or later one of them are going to make a move against you."

"I've defeated a ghost, a Chupacabra, demons, and even gods," Bobby bragged, "people like Mr. Gribble I can handle."

(Circe's mansion)

Artemis was sitting on the couch in the freshly dusted living room reading the large book she purchased from The Wizard's Chamber and writing down any useful intel. Apollo meanwhile was on his phone trying to watch a Phoenix Suns game.

"For a neighborhood full of rich people, the Wi-Fi here sucks." Apollo complained as the game kept buffering

Artemis glanced up from her book then rolled her eyes at her brother.

"I didn't bring you here to watch some stupid game on your phone," Artemis reminded, "you're here to help me kill the Arlen Werewolf."

"Hey, don't disrespect the Suns, this could be their year."

"Please, the Moons are better."

"There isn't a team called the….," Apollo began to correct until he realized what she said, "funny, you've been taken comedy lessons from Thalia?"

"You know I hate your ex as much as you do."

"She was no Cassandra."

The immortal siblings each returned to their respected activities. The clock read 10:15 when Artemis had finished her book. She went into the kitchen where her brother was enjoying a glass of wine left there by Circe. She poured herself a glass and sat across from him at the table.

"Got any ideas on how to track this werewolf?" Apollo asked after taking a sip of his wine

"Yes, but it seems that I'm going to need some help." Artemis said

"What kind of help?"

"The help only magick can provide."
