Hello everyone! Happy Sunday! I hope you week has been amazing. If not, hopefully this will make it better. A nice long chapter! So, unfortunately I'm going to have to start updating only once a week again, back to Sundays. I started school, and it is intense. I can't write as often as I'd like. Luckily, I have several chapters already written. But it gives me more time to write. I'm sorry! I'll try to make the chapters as long as possible! Anyways, enjoy!

Chapter Twenty-Eight

I was up at four this morning, getting ready for Alice's wedding. Today was the day. My stress had finally shown itself. All week I'd been calm, but now, I was feeling the stress and the pressure.

Riley was here, helping me prep things and load them into the truck. He had picked up the truck last night and dropped it off.

"Here, take this," I said as I handed him a huge box of candies.

I looked at my phone when it buzzed.

Don't stress yourself out too much, princess. You're going to do amazing today! Call me if you need anything! – Edward

I smiled; he was so sweet. I didn't text him back, but I knew he wasn't expecting me too. He knew I'd be busy today.

"When do you want to get the cake?" Riley asked.

"When Maggie gets here. It's in pieces, and we need her to help with the bottom portion. It's huge."

He loaded the rest of the stuff into the truck. Riley was driving it for me, since I wasn't entirely sure how to drive such a big vehicle. Maggie was riding with me in my truck to the venue.

The venue was an hour away from my shop. Two hours because of the traffic. I wasn't worried though, I had planned everything out. We left super early so we could get there with plenty of time to set up.

"Wow," I said as we parked.

Alice's venue was in a very tall building. I wasn't surprised though. I knew her wedding was going to be big.

We started taking things out of the van. It took ten trips to get everything and we were exhausted by the last trip.

"This place is huge," Maggie huffed, swiping one of her red curls out of her face.

"Yeah," I said, "But we've got it all up. Let's get cracking."

I directed them as we started prepping the items. The caterer had come in and was showing me the platters that we were supposed to be using.

"It smells great," He said, "What's your bakery called?"

"It's Swan's bakery," I told him, "It's on Bloor street."

He nodded, "These are Makenna and Charles. They're here to help you."

"Oh awesome," I said, "I'm getting ready to stack the cake. If one of you could track down a chair I could stand on, that would be great."

Makenna walked off to find a chair. I asked Charles to help Maggie with putting things onto platters.

I knew everyone would be heading to the venue in about twenty minutes. It was perfect timing; everything was almost done.

"Okay, let's get the cake together." I said, "Everyone will be here soon."

I stood on the chair and we started assembling the cake. I added a last few touches to make it even more perfect before rolling it out. The two caterers were busy taking the other dessert platters out while Riley and Maggie helped me with the cake.

"Perfect," I said, "It's so perfect. What do you guys think?" I asked.

Maggie nodded, "It looks great. I think it's time to wheel it out."

"Yeah, slowly now." I hopped off the chair. Everyone was at the building now. They'd be up here soon.

We put the cake in place, I set my place cards out, and then we slipped back into the kitchen as soon as everyone started walking through the doors.

I sighed in relief, "Thank god."

Riley laughed, "We did it, boss."

"Yes we did. Again, thank god." I said as I heard everyone talking.

"Go ahead and start walking around with the platters. Come back when you're empty for a refill." The caterer said.

"Everything smells so good," I told him.

He smiled, "Thanks. I've been working on the menu today for months now."

"Wow, I had to do the same. Alice said a lot of people would be here, and it probably wouldn't end until very late."

He nodded, "I catered Rosalie's wedding. It was very similar, except it was held in the spring. A lot of people and it didn't end until very late."

"Good thing I brought plenty of food." I smiled.

"Want a stuff meatball?" He asked, "I set aside a ton of the food so my staff and I can snack while we work."

"Thank you," I said as I took one, "I never got your name."

"I'm Amun," He said, "You?"

"Bella. This meatball is delicious." I said.

He smiled, "That's why I'm the Cullen's exclusive caterer. They hired me years ago, after the last one died."

"So you've known the Cullens for a long time."

He nodded, "Yes. Very nice people. They give me a ton of business. I was a small catering company before they hired me as their caterer. My business has boomed since then. So, consider yourself very lucky. You're business is about to become very popular."

"Hey, I'm okay with that," I chuckled.

About twenty minutes later, while I was prepping, Edward walked into the kitchen in his suit.

"My goodness," I said, biting my lip, "You look incredible."

He snorted, "I was going to say the same thing about you."

I shook my head, "No, I look normal. You on the other hand look so sexy."

"Oh really?" He grabbed me by the hips and lifted me onto the counter, stepping between my legs.

I giggled, pushing him away, "You breath smells like liquor."

"Sorry, I took a couple shots with Jasper before the ceremony." He said as he kissed me.

"How was the ceremony?" I asked when our lips broke apart.

"Very long. But little Alice is married now."

"I want to see her dress, is she here?"

"Yep, she's walking in now. You know, the diva has to make a grand entrance." He laughed again.

I hopped down from the counter and we walked out of the kitchen. I tried to stay close to the kitchen, but Edward forced me to walk with him to his family's table. I was slightly embarrassed as I compared my outfit to everyone else. They were all dressed so amazing and I was obviously the help.

"Bella!" Esme said, jumped up and giving me a tight hug, "It's so great to see you. How are you? Everyone loves the cake and the dessert table. You've done such an amazing job."

I smiled, "Thank you so much. You look so beautiful."

Esme was dressed in a light brown dress that flowed around her legs and made it look like she was gliding across the floor. The bust of it was lace and sparkles. She had her hair pinned up and pieces in it. She looked like a queen. I kind of wanted to bow in her presence, I couldn't believe how much she was commanding the room. I never would've expected sweet Esme to be so elegant and powerful. It was kind of cool.

"You are too sweet," Esme said, "You look great too."

"Bella, I'm so glad you're here," Carlisle said, hugging me, "You've done a fantastic job."

"Thank you," I hugged him back, "Everything looks so wonderful."

"Well please enjoy yourself as much as you can," He said, "I know you're working, but please don't feel as though you have to run around like a mad-woman."

Emmett had picked me up in a tight hug. I was shocked that he was being so affectionate with me. Out of all the Cullens he had been the one that was hanging back to most. I felt like I was being hugged by a bear.

"Looks great Bells," He said with a wink.

I blushed and laughed, "Thank you."

Rosalie was standing beside him, a little smile on her face. She had a red dress on that matched the red of the room. The dress was long and had a mermaid bottom. The top was lace and cut in somewhat of a wave. It was such a beautiful dress.

"You look so beautiful." I told her as she hugged me.

"Thank you," She said.

Alice walked through the door with Jasper now. Everyone stood and cheered as she walked in. My eyes widened as I looked at her dress.

I knew Alice's dress would be so beautiful, but I didn't expect her dress to be so jaw dropping. Her dress was covered in a delicate lace. The bottom portion was huge and flowed out behind her. The top was cut in a straight line across her collarbone. The sleeves were long and hanging loosely around her arms. She had a long veil on that was even longer than the dress. She looked like a princess.

"Alice," I said, looking her up and down when she came closer, "Wow, you just look so incredible!"

She smiled, "Thank you! I'm so glad you made it!" She wrapped her arms around me in a tight hug.

"Everything looks so beautiful." I told her.

"Thank you," She said, "The cake and the dessert bar are absolutely perfect. You did a great job."

"Thanks," I said, releasing her, "Well, I better get back to the kitchen."

"Please come back out and enjoy yourself! I feel so bad that you're stuck in the kitchen."

"Don't worry about it," I chuckled, "Congratulations."

Edward started to walk me back to the kitchen, but I stopped him, "Edward it's fine. Be with your family."

He sighed, "I'll stay if you promise to dance with me a couple times."

"I'll have to see," I said with a smile.

"Nope, you gotta promise me you'll dance with me. Or else I'm hanging out in the kitchen."

I laughed, "Alright, fine I will dance with you a few times. Now let me get back to work."

He kissed me deeply before releasing me. I smiled as I walked back to the kitchen.

The reception sounded like it was a ton of fun. And I knew the dessert bar was a hit. I was constantly baking and sending fresh items out to restock the bar.

A blonde woman walked in, wearing a very tight green dressed. It was low cut, and had a long slit up the side, showing her long tan legs.

"Do you have anymore of those puff ball thingys?" She asked me.

"Yes, I'm bringing them out now." I said as I pulled them out of the oven.

"Do I know you?" She said.

I looked up at her, now getting a look at her face, "I do recognize you. Tanya, right?"

"And you must be Bella. The baker." She extended her hand.

"I am," I said as I shook her hand.

Edward burst into the kitchen, looking somewhat panicked.

"Bella," He came over and purposefully gave me a deep kiss, "I was hoping to steal you away for a dance."

"Edward," Tanya said, "It's good to see you."

"Hey, Tanya," He said, "Bella, this is Tanya my ex-girlfriend. Tanya this is my girlfriend, Bella."

"Yeah, we just met," I said to him.

"So this is the new girlfriend," Tanya said, "You're cute."

"Uh, thanks." I said.

"Bella, can you dance?" Edward asked.

"I really need to finish—,"

"Edward she's working. Leave the girl alone," Tanya said. It didn't sound sincere, in fact, it sounded like an insult. I felt myself get a little heated.

"Actually, I can dance," I said, "That's why I have help. Maggie, Riley, can you handle this? I really want to dance with Edward. It reminds me of our first date, when he took me to Obsidian." I said, looking at Tanya, "I never liked dancing before, but dancing with Edward has made me love it."

"Of course, Bella. We got this." Riley said as he took over, Maggie beside him.

"Come on." Edward said, his hand around my waist.

He pulled me to the center of the dancefloor and wrapped his arms around my waist. I put my hands around his neck.

"I think I like that little catty side of you," He chuckled into my ear.

"Sorry, I don't know what came over me," I smiled, "I don't like it when people talk down to me. And she was being rude."

"Don't worry about her," He said as he spun me, "She doesn't hold a candle to you."

I giggled, "She is very pretty though. And tall."

"Mm, I used to think so too. But then I saw you and everything I thought about beauty changed. You're absolutely perfect. And smart. And creative. And sexy. And…—"

"Okay stop, you're making me blush!" I said, my cheeks turning bright red.

"Why? I love making a list of how absolutely perfect and spectacular you are. During my down time, that's what I do. I used to doodle, now I write down everything I love about you."

"Oh yeah? I think you're a little too obsessed with me." I said as I kissed him.

"Oh my goodness!" A high pitched feminine voice said, "You two are just absolutely precious!"

Edward's aunt Mary was beside us. She pulled me into a tight hug and then kissed Edward on the cheek before hugging him.

"Bella, everything looks so fabulous. You did such an amazing job." She said, holding my hands.

"Thank you," I smiled at her.

"Mary, why don't we leave these two to dance?" Randall said as he grabbed Mary's waist.

Edward mouthed the words thank you as Randall whisked Mary away, spinning her and holding her close.

"Sorry about that," He said, "My aunt has obviously been drinking."

I laughed, "It's okay."

We danced to two more songs, but after that, I had to get back to work. Edward and I shared a long kiss before he let me leave.

I walked back into the kitchen and took over for a while. But Edward did force me out of the kitchen when it came time to cut the cake.

"Everyone, this is our very talented baker, Miss Isabella Swan." He said to his family, which made my turn a beet red, "So, while you're enjoying these wonderful desserts and the cake, make sure you thank her."

Everyone cheered and clapped, I placed a hand over my face and waved to the crowd. There were so many people.

Alice and Jasper cut the cake, smashed it into each other's face, then I cut the rest of it for everyone else. Everyone who came and got a piece thanked me and told me how wonderful everything was, which was really nice.

By the time the cake was cut and passed out, the party was calming down. I wasn't baking like a madwoman anymore. Edward had gotten me out of the kitchen again and was forcing me to dance. It was nice though, I wasn't complaining.

"Edward?" I whispered, looking up from his chest.

"Yeah?" he said, looking down at me.

"I want to spend the night tonight." I said.

"Really?" He said.

I nodded, biting my lip, "Yeah."

He smiled widely, "Okay, that sounds great." He squeezed me tighter against him, "Why don't I sneak a bottle of wine and we go ahead to my house?"

"I don't want you to leave your sister's wedding early," I said, "Plus I need to stick around, in case anybody wants some more desserts."

"The party's dying down now. It's fine," he said, "And Riley and Maggie have got this. Come on, let's go."

I nibbled my lip while I thought about it. "Okay, just let me go see if they okay if I leave."

He smiled and walked away, probably going to track down a bottle of wine. I walked into the kitchen.

"Hey, Maggie, Riley, are you two alright keeping things running if I slip out?"

"Of course Bella," Riley said, "We'll take care of everything. The party is dying down now. All that's left to do is clean."

"Yeah, we got this Bella," Maggie said.

"You guys are awesome," I smiled, "I'm going to go ahead and write your checks. That way you don't have to wait."

I wrote them both a check for fifteen hundred dollars. Their eyes both got very wide when they saw that amount.

"It's right," I laughed, "You guys did so great and I really appreciate the help."

"Thanks Bella," Riley said with a big smile, "This is great."

"Yeah," Maggie said, "This is so awesome! Anytime you need my help, I can help you."

I laughed, "Well, you guys enjoy. You did so great."

Edward met me outside of the kitchen, "Hey, I need to speak to my father about something real quick. Why don't you go ahead down to the car." He handed me the keys, "See you in a sec."

I walked down to the parking garage and clicked the beeper, to find his car. He had brought out the really nice one, the one he had driven on our first date. The car was so ostentatious, but I did love it now.

"Hey," A feminine voice said from behind me.

I jumped, turning around to see Tanya, standing by an SUV and smoking.

"Oh, hey." I said.

"Look, this probably isn't my place, but I do need to tell you something." She said.

"Uh, okay."

"Look, Edward's a nice guy and all, but you have to watch him."

"What do you mean?"

"Well, okay, Edward is the type of guy who falls very hard. He's so amazing the first few months. But, then he gets bored. And I just don't want you to fall too head over heels for him. It makes it ten times harder when he leaves." She said.

"I'm not worried about Edward getting bored. I mean, if he does, it's fine. Things happen."

"Yeah, but that doesn't make it right," She said, "I mean, I was convinced we were going to get married. We dated for years, and then he just left all of a sudden. But I guess I see now."

"What does that mean?"

"Well, sweetie, it's not your fault you didn't know, but we just broke up in October. And I think we were still dating when he took you out."

"That's not true," I said.

She sighed, "Okay, it seems as though I can't convince you tonight. Just… be careful? Okay? Us girls have to stick together." She winked.

I nodded curtly at her, "Well. Thanks. But I think I'm fine."

She smiled at me, "If you need to talk, just give me a call." She handed me her number.

"Thanks."

"Ready to go Bella?" Edward said as he came around the car, a bottle of wine in his hand and a box in the other. He spotted Tanya and looked a little nervous. The look on his face made my stomach twist.

"Yeah. I'm ready." I said as I got into the car.

He got into the car and then drove off, "What did Tanya say to you?"

I wasn't going to say anything, but I didn't want this to cause any problems in our relationship.

"She told me that I needed to watch out, because you go into relationships falling hard, then you leave."

"That's not true," Edward said angrily.

"I know," I said, "But, she also said that you two were still dating when we went out on our first date."

"That is absolutely not true!" Edward yelled, the car coming to a sudden stop, "I'm going to kill her!"

"Edward stop!" I yelled, "Stop! I don't believe her!"

"You can look at my phone! You can ask anyone! Tanya and I have been broken up for a year now!"

"Edward, I believe you," I said, putting my hand on his arm, "I believe you. You don't have to worry."

His breathing was heavy, he wasn't looking at me. He was staring straight ahead; I could see how angry he was. I've never seen him so angry before. It was kind of scary.

"Edward, it's okay. Don't worry about it. Let's go back to your place and enjoy the night." I smiled, picking up his arm and kissing his hand, "Please?"

He exhaled, then looked over at me and smiled, "I'm sorry. I'm really sorry. It just pisses me off. Tanya is a troublemaker. She's does this shit all the time. And I don't want her to poison our relationship. This has been the best relationship I have ever had. Truly, I've never been happier."

I smiled and leaned over, kissing him on the lips, "Don't worry about her. I'm not. And I've had such a wonderful time with you. Now let's go to your house. I really really want to get out of these clothes."

His eyebrows raised, a small smile gracing his lips, "Well, let's go then."
