"Well? Lets get to it!" Ms. Usoro said as her heels clicked on the cobblestone ground.
The smell of roses passed as they continued walking, right up until the enterance.
"This is so awesome," Muttered another girl beside her. She had red frizzy hair and green emerald eyes, and was wearing a dark green dress that reached just bellow her knees.
Annabeth heard some people talking about her- the daughter of one of the most prestigious family in the country.
At this point, I think everyone here is filthy rich except me. Annabeth thought bitterly.
Annabeth just shook that thought out of her head and follwed Ms. Usoro.
They went inside, and was greeted with a rather unusual scene.
"...No! Its mine!" One girl said, trying to snatch a book from another girl.
"As if! Just give it to me! The guests will be arriving anytime s-" The other girl said.
Her name was Julia, Annabeth could tell from her name tag. Julia froze when she saw Ms. Usoro at the door.
"Have fun!" The girl snickered as she ran off.
"What- Oh. Hello, everyone!" Julia stammered. "I'll... I'll be on my way now. Have a nice day!" She dashed into another room.
Ms. Usoro cleared her throat, giving a look to her as she went.
"Sorry about that," She said to the group. "On a different note, here you'll find your room number and key." She pointed to the front desk. "If you have any questions, feel free to ask our staff!"
The girls came up in orderly fashion, getting their assigned keys.
"Well, I suppose i'll see you later Calypso," Annabeth said as she picked up a sheet of paper and her key.
Calypso nodded and smiled, then headed up the left stair case.
Room No. 18, Annabeth read.
Her room was on the second floor, so she walked up the right stair case to her room.
15, 16, 17... 18!
Annabeth looked at the door. She put the key in the lock, and slowly turned the doorknob.
And much like the house, her room was also stunning. Dark brown hardwood floors that were polished to perfection. There were pillars holding up the high roof, about 15 to 20 feet above her.
She was standing in a large area, Annabeth could see her bedroom in the next room and a bathroom in another. She could also hear talking coming from her bedroom.
Wait. Talking?
"Um, excuse me-" Annabeth said as she entered the room. She was about to say something, but it looked like someone already had beaten her to it.
"Hello! Are you Miss Chase?" One girl said. There were three of them, and Annabeth recognized one from before. Julia. Annabeth instantly knew that they were her maids.
"Yes, I am. Are you here as... my maids?"
"Absolutely right!" The girl said. "I'm Elizabeth." She seems happy, Annabeth thought.
The other two introduced themselves hastily.
"I'm Dana."
"And i'm Julia."
"Its nice too meet you. But please, just call me Annabeth."
"Are you sure, Miss- Er, Annabeth?" Dana stammered.
"Of course. Excuse me, but what exactly am I supposed to be doing right now? Perhaps I have a schedule?" She said.
"Ms. Usoro gave orders to make you feel at home here, so... I guess we do that." Julia said. "So why not have a nice bath? You must be tired."
Annabeth was seduced with the idea and eventually gave into the temptation.
"A bath would be nice, please!"
A few minutes later, she was already in the bathtub. Well, bathtub was a understatement. It was more of a small pool at least, with the marble furniture and the stack of fluffy towels. And gods, it. Felt. Amazing.
The smell of vanilla swirled around the steam coming from the hot water. Dana, Julia and Elizabeth offered to wash her, but Annabeth politely declined.
Annabeth wanted to stay here for hours on end. The time came for her to get out, and Annabeth did so reluctantly.
Annabeth wrapped one of the fluffy towels around her as the three girls led her to her room, where her pajamas were. She had already brought clothes, but the ones provided looked much more comfortable.
Like her bed, the clothes were made of a light gray silk. It felt nice on her skin- it was so light!
"Thanks, guys," Annabeth said as she tucked herself into bed.
"You're very welcome, Annabeth!" Elizabeth chirped.
"We'll be here again at 7AM sharp," Julia said as they left the room, turning off the lights and shutting her door.
This time at least, Annabeth was expecting no dreams. At least good one, since she was feeling so good.
But as usual, that wasn't going to happen.
In this dream, Annabeth saw Percy. His face was blurred out, but Annabeth could tell that they both were older.
Percy was yelling at her about something. Annabeth was yelling back, and apparently she was angry. Really angry.
"I have a family now, Annabeth!" He yelled. "Move on!"
"You can't just do that!" Annabeth scowled. "You can't leave me."
Percy snarled and turned away.
"Why are you like this to me?" Annabeth scowled harder. "You know, ever since the selection, you've-"
"I've changed Annabeth. And I don't have time for you anymore."
He walked away, leaving Annabeth there. It was now quiet, and the silence was unbearable. She couldn't hear anything, not even her own breathing.
He was gone. And she was alone.
Annabeth heard a scream peirce the air, breaking the silence. Annabeth couldn't register whos it was. Who's was it!?
Then she heard a snap, and the screaming stopped.
Okay, thats chapter six!
