Remus was cleaning his apartment when he felt a pain in his wrist he looked down and saw words flashing across his wrist and he smiled. "Janus get your ass in here" Remus called smirking when he heard Janus groan.
"Why do you always insist on doing that" Janus exclaimed walking into the room glaring at Remus.
"Cause it's fun so do we give Lo a chance to gain his bearings or do we leave now" Janus asked then they looked at each and both had borderline evil grins on their faces. Without a word to each other they disappeared from the apartment and to the front door of Logan's house. Remus knocked until Patton came to answer the door.
"Oh, hello there kiddos I'm sorry but we're kinda busy right now" Patton said kindly worried about his son.
"No problem sir we just came by to say hi to our soulmate we do miss him so" Remus said dramatically. Patton was taken aback and slammed the door in the boys face make them burst out in laughter.
"Best reaction so far for me what about you" Janus said still laughing.
"No, I loved the one where Vee awoke and knocked you out and tried to crotch kick me" Remus said which caused the two to laugh harder. While they were laughing the door opened but this time more cautiously by Logan who was shocked to see strangely familiar laughing boys.
"Who are you two" Logan demanded which snapped the two boys out of it.
"Name's Remus but you can call me daddy" Remus said still giggling slightly. Logan felt the slight burning on his wrist that proclaimed those were his soulmates first words.
"Really Remus every time" Logan said out of habit but quickly turned confused only remembering bits and pieces.
"I'm sorry Lo he is like this every time" Janus said having finally stopped laughing and taking in his soulmate after being parted for so long.
"Who are you" Logan asked turning to Janus a million questions on his lips.
"I think the rest of this should be discussed inside and I want to say hello to my brother" Remus said and in his still confused state Logan let them in.
"Ro-Ro it has been to long I thought I told you to call" Remus joked then he turned serious for the first time and asked "How long have you be awake."
Roman looked uncomfortable but answered "I've only been awake for a month and am still piecing a few things together so I didn't want to find any of you until I had all the answers it was harder because usually Lo awakes first." Remus seemed to accept the answer and turned to Patton looking him up and down.
"Why isn't Patton awake didn't you guys soul connect" Remus asked.
But before Roman could answer Logan almost yelled "What is going on who are you people what are these going through my head and what do you mean by are you awake!"
"Lo this is going to take a while to explain so please sit down you to Patton you both need to hear this" Janus said lightly pushing the two to the couch which they sat down on.
"I guess we should start with the first question my name is Remus Dukcar this is Janus Devon and you already know Romulus and Patton" Remus said pointing to each person in turn.
"Romulus Romans name is Roman" Patton said then at the look on Romans face said "It is Roman isn't it?"
"That is complex my given name is Romulus but I use the name Roman the most often" Roman said but that just made Patton and Logan have more questions.
"Moving on for now the thoughts going through your head are your old memories fighting with your new ones it should settle down in a couple hours but until then it will be hard to fully remember either lives" Janus said knowing the confusion Logan was going through well.
"Finally, what we mean by awake is that we are immortal but not in the way you would think after we die we are reborn into another body and don't remember our past lives or 'awake' until we meet our one of our soulmates" Roman said this time.
"How many times have we done this" Patton asked.
"I've lost count only Logan cares enough to keep a log but my oldest memory is serving Virgil while he was prince of Greece" Janus said clearly stuck in memories.
"Mine is battling Logan while on a raid" Remus said smirking at the memory "I of course won but since he was my mate he was kept alive and taken as a prize he did not take to kindly to that."
"Mine is similar I was at that same raid but on the other side fighting when I saved Patton's life we were both taken but we soon became a part of the Vikings tribe" Romulus said.
"But those memories are from your teens at least why are they your first memory" Logan asked that caused all three to dropped their smiles.
"We don't know how many lives we've lived before we finally found each other you had a theory that we can go several lifetimes without meeting and if we don't meet we don't remember anything" Janus said sitting down on the couch opposite Logan.
"And we woke up the next time all we remember in the beginning is our names and for me and Roman that we are brothers which is how I know my name is Remus and Roman is my brother" Remus said sitting down next to Janus the good mood gone.
It was silent for a few minutes then Logan remembered something "Wait what about the fourth boy in the picture where is he."
"Your thinking of Virgil we don't know we need to wait until he turns sixteen to be able to track him" Janus said casually.
"Track him I thought you needed to meet to 'wake up'" Patton said only slightly less confused then before.
"Around two lifetimes ago Logan learned we had different powers and could use those to find each other as long as we were sixteen or above and at least one of us was awake" Roman explained before leaving to make some coffee for everyone knowing this will be a long conversation.
