Chapter 2

( Luka's POV)

About a week later, just after lunch, I decide to ride to my thinking place. A place where I can go to be by myself, even if I am already alone.

Since it was breezy outside, I put on my cardigan over my crop top, slip on my boots and head to the stable out back.

I grabbed my saddle and reins for Lotus, my stallion, as well as my automatic from the gun rack with the holster.

"Ready to go boy?" and of course I only get a niegh in response.

I saddle up on Lotus and head off to my mini sanctuary. A big ditch with huge tree roots going from one side of the ditch to the other, big and wide enough for me to walk on and sit on without fear of falling. With said trees on each side of the ditch.

Before I could get there, I see a blueish green light fall from the sky and land in the pasture with a low boom. I'm curious and decided to race over there to check it out.

" What the hell?"

Being raised like I have in these past 12 years, I pull out my gun and get off Lotus to inch closer to the little crater.

When there is about a foot between me and the crater, I crouch at the side, only to see a man in extravagant clothing in the middle of the crater.

I look to see his face, and move his dark black hair out of his face. He suddenly winces in pain and I look him over to see the problem. Blood seeping through his ripped pants leg as well as an abrasion on his right forearm, where his jacket is too ripped.

I get up and race back to Lotus, put my gun away, and walk my horse back to the injured man.

I hoist him upon Lotus, hop up behind him and ride back home, careful not jostle too much by going to fast.

When I get to the stables behind the house, I carry the man to the geust bedroom. I take off his jacket ans roll up his pants leg to tend to his wound.

Once I'm done, I'll leave him alone to sleep. I close the door and walk down the hall to the kitchen.

I look at my watch, "It's already 7 PM?!" I say, a bit surprised at how long that took. I decide to eat something and then head upstairs to take a shower.

I look at myself in the mirror as I brushed my thigh length black hair and see my silver blue eyes glinting of the bathroom light.

"Damn, what a day." I sigh. I shake my head, climb into bed, and drift off to sleep.
