Dear Finn,

My plans are set for your graduation – I'll be coming in with Kurt and your family. I am so excited to be able to see you again; it feels like it's been forever since graduation in May. Do you think you'll get more phone privileges after you complete all of your training? I love writing to you, but being able to hear your voice would be really amazing.

Things in New York are roughly the same. The dorms are slowly becoming active with more students moving in – no word on my roommate to be. What if we don't get along? I have a very distinct personality, and the last thing I want is to share space with someone who can't stand me – or who I can't stand.

Did I tell you that the dorms are co-ed? That's another thing that makes me nervous about living arrangements. I so vividly recall our first night together – all of the arguing and bickering over the bathrooms and space. And now it's being multiplied by fifteen!

Have I told you about my fall courses yet? I'll be taking seven classes:

1. Dance 101,

2. English Composition for the Actor,

3. Acting I: Foundations,

4. Musical Theatre I: Technique,

5. Musical Theatre: Techniques on Film,

6. Musicianship I,

7. Voice: Foundations,

8. Master Class with Carmen Tibideaux!

Most of the classes will meet at least once a week, except for Master Class which is going to be once a month. It's a course requirement that all musical theatre majors take all four years at NYADA. Master Class seems so intimidating compared to everything else – this is the same Carmen Tibideaux who rejected me and nearly dashed my dreams of becoming a star on Broadway. What if she changes her mind again and decides that I'm not a good fit for the school, or that I don't have what it takes?

Speaking of school, is there any chance of you taking advantage of the Army's strong Education Center? I read about it on the Army website, and you can go to school while serving.

I also read about the Infantry – it's so dangerous that they won't allow women to join. Is it too late to change your plans and pick another type of Advanced Individual Training? Maybe one that doesn't involve you getting killed? Are you going to be stationed overseas after finishing Infantry School? I don't know if I could handle having my fiancé in a different country. It's not wrong for me to call you my fiancé is it? We didn't officially end anything; we're just not together at the moment.

Can't wait to see you graduate from basic training.

Love Rachel.
