Chapter 28 – Another Meeting

The next chapter is here.

Daviddavies5851, I must admit: the idea of Ahsoka in dragon form swooping down from the sky with a mighty roar and barbecuing Sidious is kinda nice. I'm still going to see how far her powers will develop. Digdugdiamond does make a good point, it shouldn't become too overpowering. I've already thought of a few ways to balance things out a bit and I have quite the storyline planned. It's just going to take a while to write everything down…

Enjoy the chapter.

Shili, Royal palace, H'Raani M'Kai barracks

Ahsoka Tano quickly spun around and blocked her opponent's blow with her training sword. She parried the next blow and quickly struck back, forcing her opponent to jump back. "Nice counter Ahsoka, keep it up." Shaden Zadane called to her from the sideline.

Ahsoka had joined the training program of the Shilian Royal Guard again. When they had finished the initial training they decided to do some sparring. Ahsoka had been sparring with Dodge and he already proven to be a powerful opponent. They were both using a training sword that the H'Raani M'Kai always used in their sparring sessions. The swords had the same weight as their normal weaponry, but the blades had been modified to prevent serious injury. Ahsoka wanted to use her lightsabers, but Shaden had told her that you couldn't build muscles with a weightless sword. His explanation had made sense, so Ahsoka had agreed to use one of their training swords as well. It took her a moment to get used to it, but after that she and Dodge had entered a heated sparring session.

Dodge smirked and swung his blade around tauntingly. Ahsoka ignored his taunt, knowing better than to fall for such an obvious trick. Dodge smirked again and charged at her with his blade extended. Ahsoka foresaw his strike and moved to block it. Their blades locked and they pushed against each other trying to break the lock. Dodge, being physically stronger, was able to break the lock and force Ahsoka back. He quickly followed up with a barrage of attacks, forcing Ahsoka to go on the defensive. Ahsoka grunted and swung her sword around to try and parry his strikes. "His technique is so different from the Jedi's. It's feral and aggressive and yet so refined at the same time. Is this the way our ancestor's fought? It's amazing." Ahsoka thought as she caught his blade with her own, entering another lock with him. "Now what? I need to catch him off guard." Ahsoka thought as Dodge tried to change the tide of the fight again. She took a quick step sideways when Dodge pushed forward again. This caused him to temporarily loose his balance. Ahsoka took the opportunity to strike back. She shifted the sword to her preferred reverse Shien hold and dished out several quick strikes. This time Dodge was forced on the defensive, taken by surprise at her change in attack techniques. Ahsoka struck swiftly two more times and switched her blade back to a normal hold and kept up her attack. She followed her swift strikes by a disarming technique Anakin had thought her. Dodge's sword flew out of his hand.

Ahsoka lowered her weapon, panting heavily. "Impressive Ahsoka." Shaden commented as he walked up to them. "Yeah, you really caught me off guard there." Dodge added. Ahsoka smiled and sat down on the ground. "Thanks guys, that was really intense. You're even stronger than I thought Dodge." She replied between breaths. "So that was one of our ancestor's fighting styles?" Ahsoka asked. "Yes, that's right." Dodge replied. "Those were some very impressive moves. Can you teach me those techniques?" Ahsoka asked as she stood up again. "I'm sure we can teach you later." Shaden replied grinning. "But I want to know, what was that move you pulled off with your weapon?" Dodge asked her. Ahsoka smiled. "That was the reverse Shien style. Shien is one of the Jedi lightsaber forms. The reverse hold is considered to be a somewhat unorthodox style, but it's my favorite style and it can be very effective." She explained. "I'll say." Dodge replied as he threw her a bottle of water. Ahsoka nodded a quick thanks and drank from it. "Next time I'll use two swords again and I won't hold back so much." Dodge said. "Next time I'll use the Force." Ahsoka replied with a smile.

After everyone had finished their sparring matches they completed the training with a number of cool down exercises. When they were finished Ahsoka bid Shaden and the others goodbye and returned back home.

A few hours later

Ahsoka was working in the garden with her mother. The both of them shared a similar passion for nature and had already spent some time managing the garden together. Yuae had thought her daughter several gardening tips and Ahsoka had told her mother about several ways the Force can be used to influence nature. Both Ahsoka and her mother were smiling happily. It was a nice way for Ahsoka to relax after all of the practice she had been doing.

Marina walked outside of the house to find Ahsoka. She quickly spotted her with their mother between the flowers and walked up to them. "Hey Ahsoka, can I talk to you about something?" Marina asked her sister. "Sure, what is it?" Ahsoka replied as she stood up. She and Marina walked back a bit to the house.

"I have a meeting with another Senator soon about several groups of supplies that Shili is purchasing from his world. However, there are some disturbing rumors about a Seperatist group attacking Senators during smaller meetings. I don't think that anything will happen since his homeworld is part of the Republic, but I'd just feel better if you were there." Marina explained the situation. Ahsoka nodded in understanding. "Well, politics aren't really my strong suit. But I'll come along if you like." She replied with a smile. Marina smiled as well. "Thanks Ahsoka, that makes me feel somewhat better." She said. "So, where exactly are we headed?" Ahsoka asked. "Onderon." Marina replied. "What?" Ahsoka asked surprised. "You heard me." Marina replied with a teasing smile. "And I suppose you know which Senator I'm going to meet?" She asked. The reply she got from Ahsoka was a darkened lekku. Marina chuckled at the look on her sister's face. "So… Do you want me there to protect you in case something happens or to seduce Lux and give you a good deal?" Ahsoka asked after a short moment. "Both would be great." Marina replied. They both laughed for a moment. After that Marina went back inside to arrange a few things for their trip.

The next day

Ahsoka did a few quick stretches as she came out of the shower. She had done some more physical training and Force practice today and it had made her quite sweaty. The rest of her family was out right now with the exception of Marina, who was in the living room readying some things for their trip.

Ahsoka smiled as she finished dressing. Her training had already begun to pay off. She had grown stronger in the Force and was now able to use a small part of the Daughter's power. That being said, she still had a long way to go. She was beginning to understand the magnitude of the Daughter's powers and it was still quite overwhelming for her to comprehend the fact that she now had that much power herself. The Daughter had so much to teach her and she was able to influence her dream and create great training exercises. As soon as Ahsoka was able to handle more of the Daughter's powers, the Daughter would begin teaching her the more advanced Force techniques. Ahsoka was already looking forward to it.

Training with the H'Raani M'Kai was very interesting as well. On duty, the members of the Shilian Royal guard were very strict and professional. During the training sessions and off duty, they were quite the lively bunch. Shaden and the others were going to teach her the traditional fighting styles of their Togrutan ancestors. She was really looking forward to that as well. During her days in the Temple she hadn't had that much time to learn about her ancestry, but that was going to change now.

A short moment later Ahsoka walked into the living room. "Finished showering?" Marina asked without looking up from her work. "Yep." Ahsoka replied as she walked into the kitchen to grab something to drink. "So is everything ready for your meeting?" Ahsoka asked from the kitchen. "Yes, pretty much everything is ready. Now I just have to negotiate several things with your boyfriend." Marina replied with a hint of amusement in her voice. "I'm not helping you with that." Ahsoka said as she walked back into the living room. "Oh come on sis, I…" Marina stopped when she saw Ahsoka.

Ahsoka frowned as she saw Marina staring at her. She could sense shock and surprise emanating from her sister. "What? You're looking at me like I've grown a third montrael or something." Ahsoka asked. "Ahsoka… You…you're glowing." Marina replied slowly. "What?" Ahsoka asked confused. "You're glowing." Marina said again. Ahsoka looked down at her body and noticed what Marina meant. A white glow surrounded her body, a glow similar to the Daughter only less bright. "Oh darn it, she said that could happen. Uh… I could make it fade by concentrating, right?" Ahsoka asked herself as she shut her eyes. She concentrated fiercely, wantingthe light to fade. She opened her eyes again and to her great relief she wasn't glowing anymore.

"Ahsoka, what was that?" Marina asked worried. Ahsoka walked up to her sister. "Don't worry Marina, it's fine." She replied. "Fine? You were glowing! What's going on?" Marina asked again. "Uh…" Ahsoka sighed. "How in the name of the Force am I going to explain this?" she asked herself. Marina was still looking at her questioningly. "I have no idea how to explain it to you sis, but it's not a bad thing. Don't worry, everything's fine." Ahsoka said. "Are you sure?" Marina asked. Ahsoka nodded. "Yes, I'm sure." Ahsoka replied. "Alright then." Marina said slowly. "I know it looked very strange, but I assure you, I'm fine." Ahsoka replied with a smile. Marina sighed. "Okay, I believe you Ahsoka." She said. Ahsoka nodded. "So, what kind of supplies is this whole thing about?" she asked. "Well, several things actually." Marina replied as she began to explain Ahsoka about the deal.

The following day

Ahsoka and Marina were at one of the landing pads of the royal palace, about to depart for Onderon. Marina was dressed in one of her more luxurious dresses, she was definitely ready for her meeting. Ahsoka had gotten a set of travelling robes similar to her old Jedi robe, only lighter and with the symbol of Shili on the back.

Right now Ahsoka was waiting on the ramp of their ship for Marina to board. Ahsoka rolled her eyes as she watched her oldest sister talk with prince Zolar. She used to Force to sense Marina's emotions. "Lilo was right, Marina does feel quite a bit for him." Ahsoka thought as she felt her sister's emotions. Ahsoka sighed and looked at the Shilian prince. She used the Force to sense his thoughts, hoping that he wasn't thinking to badly about her. "Oh!" Ahsoka thought in surprise. "Well, well, well… The famous prince feels the same way about her. This could be interesting." She thought in amusement. "I'll be sure to get back at Marina with this later for all of her teasing about me and Lux." she smiled a little mischievously.

Marina and the prince finished talking a few minutes later and Marina walked up to Ahsoka. She paused momentarily when she saw the amused look on her younger sister's face. "What?" Marina asked. "Nothing, don't worry about it." Ahsoka replied. "Okay…" Marina said as she raised an eyebrow. "Oh well, shall we go?" Marina asked. Ahsoka nodded and they both boarded the ship.

I'm going to end the chapter here.

This chapter is a bit shorter because I decided to split it up in two chapters. In the next chapter Ahsoka and Marina will arrive on Onderon. A few others will be there as well, but who?

Also, a bit of suppressed feelings between Marina and prince Zolar. How is Ahsoka going to handle this and what will come from it?

My updates will probably be slower now. I have a few tests coming up real soon and I have a lot to study again.

Until next time.
