A week had passed since after the Survey Corps. had finally made it towards the ocean and meeting Yelena and forming an alliance with the Anti-Marleyan Volunteer group, Survey Corps. had returned to the walls and reported everything that has happened to the Supreme Court in the capital, Mitras. The three respectful military branches had sat in three individual rows. As the Garrison had sat on the far left, the Military Police Brigade sat in the center and the Survey Corps. had sat on the far right within the Supreme Court.
Everyone within the Supreme Court, including high ranking officials were all dressed in green military trench coats and sat in rows, except for the Queen Historia Reiss, herself. She sat in the center next to premiere Dhalis Zachary and another high ranking official. There were three separate rows within the Supreme Court.
In the front row of the Survey Corps. row, Erwin Smith sat in the middle desk, as Squad Leader Hange sat on his left and Captain Levi sat on his right.
Hange stood up and read requests on a letter to everyone within the Supreme Court. "These demands are written from Zeke Yaeger, himself. The first demand is that for us Eldians of Paradis to accept him, as he was from the island... The second demand he has is to meet Eren Yager, his younger half-brother in the flesh. If we accept his demands, he will provide us with the latest technology that Marley has to offer. Including weapons. He will act as a mediator between us and friendly nations, which means that claims exist. And finally, he will provide support for intelligence activities targeting Marley. He claims that all of this is to save the Eldian people, whom are now being threatened by the world."
A member of the Military Police Brigade had slammed his fist on the desk, feeling outraged. "Absolutely not! Who would ever listen to a murderer, such as Zeke? He's the Beast Titan for crying out loud! He's responsible for most many of the deaths within the Survey Corps. last year! He's responsible for turning innocent people within Ragako Village into Titans!"
Connie Springer silently cringed next to Jean and Sasha, once his village was mentioned. He thought about his mother, who was turned into a Titan against her will.
"That monkey bastard is responsible for hunting down and bringing the Survey Corps. to the brink of extinction! He's killed a large number of our people and now he's making requests? We can't trust him at all!" The Military Police offer yelled to the court.
"I understand what you are getting at. But Marley's only goal is to take the Founding Titan. If force doesn't work, then they will use any other means at their disposal." Dhalis Zachary said in a calm demeanor.
"I believe our enemies know that, too. Let's hear what else the this "Zeke Yaeger" has to say." Dot Pixis proposed that Hange finish reading the letter.
Hange looked over to Dot Pixis. "Thank you, Pixis. Now to continue the letter, there is still a secret plan that can be carried out. It will solve all Eldian's problems. In order for this secret plan to work, he needs the current holder of the Founding Titan, Eren Yaeger. And a member of the royal family."
Eren gasped, as Floch sat on Eren's left and Mikasa sat on his right. Floch kind of glance over towards Eren with a slightly confused look.
"Paradis can be saved with those two things. However... Zeke Yaeger can only reveal his true intentions after the mission is a success." Hange read the rest of the letter.
Many members of the Military Police Brigade started chatting with one another in disbelief and irritation. They do not agree with Zeke's plan, nor do they agree with having him around, already acknowledging him as an enemy.
"This is nothing, but crap."
"I don't believe this, at all."
"Yeah. Like we'd ever listen to an ape man."
"Not only do they believe us to be devils, but they also believe us to be a bunch of idiots..."
Eren heard all the commotion from the Military Police Brigade and decided to stand and give his two gold coins to the Supreme Court.
"It's true, though..." Eren muttered as he stood before the court. Everyone laid their eyes on him.
'Eren?' Mikasa thought as she stood by him.
"I remember. When Survey Corps. Military Police Brigade and Garrison went out of their way to rescue me from Bertoldt and Reiner over a year ago... I had accidentally awakened the Power of the Founding Titan, when I made physical contact with a Pure Titan that had royal blood." Eren had a quick flashback of using the Founding Titan's power against Dina Fritz and killed her. "The titan that ate my mother six years ago had the same face of that woman in the photograph my dad-Grisha Yaeger left for me in the basement." Eren had made a comparison of Dina between the photograph of Dina Fritz and her as a Pure Titan. "I'm certain that was his first wife, Dina Fritz."
Erwin stared at Eren and remained silent, as he listened to his speech. He remembered seeing the same photograph as Eren within the basement.
"And just by coincidence, I encountered her when I was being rescued. She was wondering that land as a Pure Titan at that time. Because of her royal blood, that saved my life."
"Ah..." Some of the high officials gasped as they had no idea.
"Zeke Yaeger is Dina Fritz's son-which means he possess royal blood, too. He must've figured out how to get around the "Vow of Pacifism." How to activate the Rumbling... by using the Founding Titan's power to awaken the millions of Pure Titans within the walls and destroy the entire world- until there's nothing, but dust." Eren imagined millions of Fifty-Meter Colossal Titans awakening and trampling over the world, excluding Paradis Island.
Most people in the Supreme Court had gasped.
Erwin paused as he kept staring at Eren. 'I see, now.'
Levi turned around to face Eren. "Hey. Why didn't you tell us this a year ago?" Captain Levi remembered when Eren had made an outburst a year prior within the Supreme Court. "Did you not think this would've been important, then?"
Eren looked at Captain Levi. "Well, to be honest..." He looked into the Queen's eyes. "I was concerned about Histo-I mean, Queen Historia's safety. I didn't want her to become a vessel of the Founding Titan, due to her royal blood status. I'll admit it, but it was a poor and thoughtless decision I made."
"Tch." Captain Levi grunted and turned back forward. "We'll talk about this, later."
Erwin Smith then stood up in the Supreme Court. "If what Eren Yaeger said was true, then we must need all the help we can get from Zeke and the outside world to protect Paradis."
Hange placed her hands in her hair. 'Zeke's secret plan is making a whole lot of sense, now...'
Nile Dok pressed his hands on his desk and stood up and faced Erwin. "Are you serious, Erwin!? Out of all the crazy things you've done... you're really expect us to put aside our differences and trust them?"
The Military Police Brigade begun to argue within the Supreme Court.
"That's right! There's no telling what they'd do, if we let them on the island!"
"They can't be trusted at all."
"If it weren't for them sending the Pure Titans to this island, lots of people would still be alive!
"Yeah, he's right!"
"We should just hang them for all the crimes they committed." A Military Police Brigade Official suggested.
"I understand that you are all angry for what Marley had done to us for the past hundred years. I'm afraid we can't do that." Erwin looked over to Dhalis Zachary. "Premiere, Zachary. I have a proposition."
"Proceed." Dhalis Zachary said.
"There's still too much of the world we don't know and no doubt Marley's danger will be ever present. As such, I suggest this. We will have the Anti-Marleyan Volunteers contact as many Marleyan ships as possible and lure them here to Paradis. That way, we can gain resources and understand each other and learn more about the outside world from them."
"Really..." Dhalis temporarily wiped his glasses with a cloth. "And what will you do with the Marleyans that refused to get along with Paradis?"
"The Anti-Marleyan Volunteer group has a party of people that are really good with persuasion." Erwin thought of a few people, including Onyankopon." Hopefully, they will get along Eldians, before entering the walls." Erwin said.
Queen Historia stared.
Dhalis Zachary sighed. "Then, it's settled..."
Within The Next Year
The Survey Corps. continued to work closely with the Anti-Marleyan Volunteer group to lure multiple Marleyan ships to Paradis and capture them.
Eren Yaeger and Erwin Smith would continue to use their Titan abilities to catch the Marleyans off guard and drag their ships to shore. Each time that they do capture Marleyan ships, more Marleyans would be captured and Paradis would gain more and more resources and intel about the world.
Sure, there were rebellious Marleyans, but in months time, people like Onyankopon was able to persuade most of them. The ones who refused to cooperate with Eldians were placed in jail, so they wouldn't harm anyone. The Marleyans that were nice enough taught Eldians about weapons, engineering, automobiles, trains and ships that Marley currently possess.
Paradis Island had gained more than enough resources to build a massive port by the ocean, where ships could land and transport.
The Year, Eight Fifty-Two
It was a normal sunny day, as the sun shined bright within the afternoon. The Survey Corps. and the Anti-Marleyan Volunteer group stood at a massive port, eight feet from each other. Erwin smith and Yelena had stood in front of each other, head-to-head.
"It's been an honor working with you and Paradis, Erwin Smith." Yelena said as she raised her hand.
"Likewise." Erwin responded by shaking Yelena's hand. "I appreciate your help, Yelena. Without your faction, we wouldn't have gained as much resources as we had."
Yelena glance over at Eren, who stood in the front of the group. "Wow, Eren. I haven't seen you, since you lifted our entire ship from the ocean." She tried to move towards Eren, but was intercepted by Captain Levi, as he stood between her and Eren.
"No. He'll never make contact with any of you, nor Zeke. This brief meeting is as far as you go." Levi told Yelena.
Yelena pouted. "What a pity. But hey, look on the bright side. Today's an auspicious day." Yelena looks over at the ocean, where she hears the sound of a blowing horn and spotted a big ship coming towards the port. "The port had been completed and it seems we have our first foreign guest."
The entire Survey Corps. look towards the ocean to see a foreign ship, different from the Marleyan ships they had encountered. It was a ship that belonged to the land of the Hizuru.
