Chapter 31 – Shili
The next chapter is here. Ahsoka will be showing Lux around on Shili in this chapter.
I had a bit of a writer's block for this chapter and I had a lot to do for school, so this chapter turned out a lot shorter than I originally had planned. This is why I've decided to split things up in multiple chapters. I wanted to upload something so I posted the part of the chapter I had already written.
Hope you enjoy.

Ahsoka awoke slowly to a few rays of sunlight shining in her face. She instantly became aware of a warm presence holding her. She opened her eyes and saw Lux lying next to her. She smiled as she noticed that he was still asleep. She kept quiet and simply enjoyed being in his arms.
A few minutes later Lux stirred and woke up as well. He opened his eyes and saw Ahsoka smiling at him. "Good morning." He said as he smiled back. "Good morning." Ahsoka replied. She leaned in and kissed him. He kissed her back. They parted a moment later. Ahsoka chuckled a bit and went to move in for another kiss. Lux stopped her however by placing his hand on her cheek and slightly pushing her away. Ahsoka shot him a questioning look. "Won't your dad, I don't know, kill me or something if he caught us like this?" Lux asked quietly. Ahsoka chuckled again and turned around a bit too look at the clock in her room. She smiled and wrapped her arms around Lux' neck. "The rest of my family usually wakes up in about twenty minutes or so." She told him as she leaned in closer. "We still have a few minutes to ourselves." She said silently as their lips almost locked. "Well, that's good to know." Lux replied softly and he closed the very small distance between them.

A few hours later
After the rest of Ahsoka's family had woken up they all had breakfast together. During the meal Ahsoka and Lux had planned out several places they were going to visit. After they had finished breakfast Ahsoka had gone upstairs to get ready for the day. Lux followed her shortly after she left.
Ahsoka walked into the living room. She found her two sisters sitting on the couch giggling about something. Rosette was in the corner of the room building something with her blocks. "What's so funny?" Ahsoka asked her sisters as she moved up to them. The two older Togruta looked at her a little bit startled. "Nothing, just a little joke." Lilo replied as she moved her hands, hiding something behind her back. "What kind of joke?" Ahsoka asked. "They're up to something again…" Ahsoka thought too herself. "Just a little Senator joke. I don't think you'd understand it." Marina replied calmly. Despite her calm voice, Ahsoka could detect a little hint of nervousness in her sister's voice. "Oh, alright then." Ahsoka said as she walked towards the other side of the room. Before her sisters could notice her intent, she moved towards the backside of the couch and snatched whatever it was that Lilo hid. "Ahsoka!" Lilo said startled.
Ahsoka looked at the object, a folded-up piece of paper. "What's this?" Ahsoka asked. "Just a picture I took the other day. Can I have it back?" Lilo asked in return as she tried to grab the picture back. Ahsoka's reflexes were a lot faster however, thanks to all of the training she had done. She quickly moved back a few steps and avoided Lilo's hand. She folded open the picture and looked at it. Ahsoka went wide-eyed in shock when she realized it was a picture of her and Lux lying in bed together. She looked up and stared at her sister. Lilo just laughed sheepishly while Marina sat on the couch laughing. Ahsoka ignited her cyan lightsaber and used it to complete eradicate the picture. After there wasn't a trace of dust left of the picture she deactivated her blade again and gave her sister an annoyed look. At this moment Lux walked into the living room as well. "Eh…" He frowned as he looked at the scene in front of him: A somewhat annoyed looking Ahsoka holding one of her lightsabers in her hand staring at her sister Lilo who was slowly backing up a bit. "I'm going to see if mom needs anything." Lilo said quickly as she ran out into the garden. "Get back here!" Ahsoka yelled after her as she took off after her sister. Lux stood at the door looking stunned. "Uhm…did I miss something?" he asked Marina. "Ah Lux. Could you do me a little favor?" she asked as she got up from the couch. "Eh…Sure." Lux replied. "Please keep a little eye on Rosette for me. I'm going after those two to make sure they don't do anything stupid." Marina said as she started walking towards the garden. "Uhm… Alright." Lux replied somewhat confused. "Thanks." Marina said quickly as she stepped outside. "Ahsoka! Lilo! Come on, get back here!" Lux heard Marina call to her sisters. Lux stood there confused, watching the door for a moment. After that he sat down in a chair close to Rosette.
Rosette looked at him when he sat down. "Hey there." Lux said. "Hi." Rosette replied with a smile. "What are you doing?" Lux asked her. "I'm building a house!" Rosette replied excitedly. Lux smiled at her. "Really?" he asked in return. Rosette nodded. "Uh-huh." she said. "Come here! I'll show you!" she told him. Lux moved to her and kneeled down next to the tiny Togruta. Rosette then began telling him about her little house.

Ahsoka and her sisters were just returning to their home. Ahsoka had chased Lilo around for quite a bit around the block. Then Lilo had made a wrong turn and ended up in a dead end. At the same time Marina had managed to catch up with them. A few minutes of arguing later they had decided to go home. Lilo thought that she had gotten away without Ahsoka getting back at her. That thought was shattered however when Ahsoka lightly Force-pushed her into the mud.
Marina sighed as she looked at Lilo complaining at Ahsoka in the garden of their house. She chuckled quietly as she looked inside the house. "Hey Ahsoka, come over here." She told her youngest sister. Ahsoka walked up to Marina. "What is it?" she asked. "Look inside for a moment." Marina replied. Ahsoka was a little confused by her reply but looked inside nonetheless. A smile spread across her face when she saw Lux talking with a very happy looking Rosette. Lilo had also moved up to them and had also seen the scene inside. "He looks quite good with kids little sis. That's something to think about hmmm?" Lilo asked Ahsoka teasingly. Ahsoka's lekku darkened visibly. "It might be a good idea to think about settling down sis. After all, you've almost reached the legal wedding age." Marina added in a similar teasing tone. Ahsoka's lekku darkened even more. Marina and Lilo laughed at their younger sister's embarrassed face. "Oh, shut up!" Ahsoka said as she walked inside.

Lux turned around when he heard someone enter. He smiled when he saw it was Ahsoka. "Hey Ahsoka, you're back." He said. "So, what…" Lux stopped when Marina walked in followed by a mud-covered Lilo.
"Mommy, come look at my house." Rosette said when she saw her mother. Marina smiled and walked towards her daughter. "Thank you for watching her Lux." She said to Lux. "Sure, don't mention it." He replied as he got up. "That looks like a nice house." Marina said to her daughter. Rosette giggled happily and began showing her house to her mother as Lux started walking towards Ahsoka.
"So…what happened?" Lux asked as he gestured at the mud-covered Togruta. Lilo didn't reply but instead she walked out of the room and headed upstairs. Lux shot a questioning look at Ahsoka. "Don't worry about it." She said with a smile. "Are you ready to go?" she asked. Lux nodded. "Yes, I'm good to go." He replied. He linked arms with Ahsoka and they both left the house.

About an hour later
Ahsoka smiled as she walked through the streets of Corvala with her boyfriend. Lux was looking around with the same enthusiasm she did when she first arrived on Shili. They were walking hand in hand and it make Ahsoka feel pretty good. Several years ago she would've never imagined doing something like this.
"This looks like a great city." Lux said as he turned to Ahsoka. "I know. The was had thankfully not affected Shili, so the people here are happy and not suffering. I really hope it can stay this way." Ahsoka replied. Lux nodded. "Yeah, me too." He said as he looked to the side. Ahsoka followed his gaze and saw what looked like a family of Togruta helping a human family with their broken speeder. "Back when I was a kid I had lessons about the different species of the galaxy." Lux said as he looked back at her. "We learned about the many different sentient life forms and their characteristics. Unfortunately, our teacher had a few, well, prejudices against several species. Basically, he was somewhat of a racist." Lux sighed before continuing. "He described Togruta as a savage and primitive species." Lux explained. Ahsoka growled slightly at that. She couldn't stand people who thought themselves superior compared to others. There were plenty of people that believe others to be inferior and then abuse them. Slavers were the worst in that category. The very thought of people like that made a sense of anger creep up in her.
"However," Lux' voice snapped her out of her thoughts. "from what I've seen so far I can clearly tell that that guy's statements about Togruta are complete rubbish." Lux said, making Ahsoka smile again. "Togruta are a lot more pleasant company than other people I've been around in my life." Lux added with a smile. "Especially certain Togruta?" Ahsoka asked with a teasing smile. Lux chuckled a little. "Especially certain Togruta." He replied as he lightly squeezed her hand. "Good answer." Ahsoka said as she gave him a quick kiss. They smiled at each other and continued walking down the street.

"Wow, Togrutan architecture is quite amazing." Lux commented.
The two of them had just arrived at the royal palace and were looking around inside. "I've been to tons of different planets and I have studied a lot of cultures at the Temple. But I really do prefer my own people's culture." Ahsoka said. Lux smiled. "I can definitely understand why." He replied.
"Ahsoka!" a voice called out to them. They turned around and saw princess Zaa Vashee walk up to them. "Hello milady." Ahsoka replied with respectful nod. "Nice to see you again Ahsoka." Zaa said. "Senator Bonteri, wasn't it?" she said as she turned to Lux. "That's right princess, it's nice to see you again." Lux replied. "You've already met?" Ahsoka asked. Lux nodded. "Yes, we did. But unfortunately it wasn't under the best circumstances." He replied. "Felucia." Lux added when he saw her confused expression. "Oh, I see." Ahsoka replied softly. "We spoke briefly in that cell before the guards dragged me off. After the battle we also talked for a moment while you were in the bacta tank." Zaa explained, a slight tremor of fear in her voice when she mentioned being dragged off by the guards. "So what brings you to Shili Senator?" Zaa asked, changing the subject. "Ahsoka and her sister Marina invited me to stay here on Shili for a few days." Lux replied. "I see. Well that's nice." Zaa said. "So? What do you think of Shili?" she asked curiously. "So far it's been great. This is a beautiful planet." Lux replied with a smile. "That's good to hear." Zaa said. "And I suppose I should thank you." She added. "For what?" Lux asked a little surprised. "The supplies Shili purchased from Onderon, they really helped here on the planet." Zaa explained. Lux smiled. "It was my pleasure." He replied. "Your family made a very fair offer and the goods and funds we received in return helped us on Onderon as well. I've had to deal with a lot greedier people before." He told her. Zaa was about to reply when her datapad bleeped. She checked it and sighed. "I'm sorry, I have to go." She said. "You're busy, I understand." Ahsoka replied. "I hope you can stop by some other time Ahsoka. I'd love to catch up a bit." Zaa said with a smile. "Of course, that sounds great." Ahsoka replied. "I'll see you later then. Goodbye." She then added with a smile. "Great, goodbye Ahsoka. See you some other time Senator." Zaa replied. "Goodbye milady." Lux said as he and Ahsoka both nodded respectfully. Zaa walked off after that.
"Shall we continue Lux?" Ahsoka asked him as Zaa walked away. Lux looked at her and nodded. "Lead the way." He replied. They locked arms again and continued on their tour of Shili.

That's the end of this chapter.
Like I said, it's shorter than I wanted it to be. The next chapter will be longer again.
I'm a bit stuck with this part of the story at the moment. After Lux returns to Onderon the story will enter into a new more exciting part. What does this involve? Quite a bit of trouble, some encounters with old 'friends' and Ahsoka will meet someone that will be playing another big role in the story. But, I'm not going to tell you anymore.
After maybe two or three chapters of this story I intent to pick up A Mirialan's story again. I want to keep those stories somewhat at the same time. A few weeks have passed in this story now, so Barriss' mission will soon be coming to an end.
I've started writing another chapter for Mysterious Ways, but school is taking up more of my time. Updates might be a little slower.
Until next time.
