Chapter 48 – Feelings rise further
The next chapter is here. But first I'd thought I take a moment to address something. I've noticed a couple of reviews asking for updates. I try to make the chapters when I'm able, but I am quite busy with work as well. I hate rushing chapters and then putting out some half-finished pile of words. That just won't do for me.
To hopefully put everyone at ease, I intent to continue both Tale of a Togruta and A Mirialan's Story for quite a while. The storyline I have planned already stretches out over several months, including a time skip that will happen in a couple of chapters (this will vary for both stories). Updating my stories might take me some time, depending on how much else I have to do, but I have no intention of abandoning them.
In this chapter Ahsoka and Lux arrive on Naboo and begin their vacation. Ahsoka discovers that her sisters had a little surprise for her and that more or less leads to her and Lux becoming even closer.
Hope you enjoy.

Shili, Tano residence
"I really wonder how Ahsoka is going to react to this," Lilo said with an amused smirk. She and Marina had just looked through the information Zaa Vashee had sent them regarding her gratitude plan for Ahsoka.
Marina chuckled as well. "I know what you mean. I can't wait to see it," she replied. "She'll definitely say that it's far too much, but she deserves it for all that she's done for Shili and Kiros."
Lilo laughed at her comment. "You're probably right about that one," she said with a smile. "Now we'll just have to keep her occupied so she doesn't catch on. She'll hopefully be busy enough with teaching Aisha to not notice what we're up to. And with the preparations for your wedding, we should be able to keep her distracted too. Especially when we tell her that she'll have to get a dress for the wedding." She smirked wickedly at that, already picturing her reaction to that.
Marina laughed at that as well. "She's going to hate that, but she won't be able to get away from it," she replied amused. "She'll have to get a dress, we'll drag her to the stores if we have to."
The two of them looked up as Aisha walked into the room. "Hey sis, finally managed to get out of your book?" Marina asked her with a little teasing smile. Their younger sister had been reading the book Ahsoka had given her for hours today.
Aisha smiled and sat down next to Lilo on the couch. "Yes, I have," she replied. "I hadn't even realized that so much time has passed." She laughed a little bit.
Her sisters both laughed as well. "What exactly is that book about though?" Lilo asked curiously. "It looked a bit old."
"It's a book that Ahsoka still had from when she was with the Jedi," Aisha replied. "It's all about the Force and the Jedi. Ahsoka said that it was passed down from Master to Padawan each time. It's really interesting to read it all. There is so much in it."
"Really? Well, that explains your interest in it," Marina said. "Oh, by the way, we want to take you shopping tomorrow."
"Okay, but what for?" Aisha asked a bit of surprised.
Marina smiled at her. "Well, you're going to need a nice dress for my wedding, right?" she replied. "We know some good places, so we'll help you find something that looks great."
Aisha smiled as well. "Thank you," she replied eagerly. There had been a tiny voice of insecurity in her mind that her made her doubt if she'd be invited to Marina's wedding, but it turned out to be a silly working of her imagination. She truly was part of the family and her sisters wanted her with them. "I'm really looking forward to it. Is the planning going well?"
"I'd say things are going well," Lilo answered for her sister. "Zaa Vashee is also helping with some other preparations, so everything should turn out amazing. There's just one issue that we're not sure yet how to deal with, but maybe you can help us with it."
"What kind of issue?" Aisha asked with a mix of confusion and excitement towards the idea of helping out her sisters.
Lilo gave a wicked smirk. "We need to figure out how to get Ahsoka along for dress-shopping. She'll need one for the wedding, but will no doubt try to find a way out of it and we can't have that," she replied.
Aisha laughed at that. "That's going to be difficult," she said. Ahsoka had made it a little clear that she didn't like that kind of thing when they had the celebration after the fight on Kiros.
Marina and Lilo laughed as well. "We know, that's why we're setting things up so she won't be able to get out of it," Marina replied with a smirk.
The three of them laughed a bit more at the idea. After that Aisha asked a bit more about the wedding plans, hoping to able to contribute in some other way as well. She already knew that convincing Ahsoka might be an impossible task.

Hyperspace
Ahsoka and Lux sat in the lounge area of his ship, relaxing and enjoying a drink. Ahsoka was laying back a bit on the couch, head resting on Lux' shoulder as he told her about what he'd been up to the past weeks.
"It has been really busy lately. We've been planning a few projects in the city, both construction and renovation, and we needed quite some funds and resources for everything," Lux told her. "So for me, it's been a lot of time spend negotiating with other Senators and governments. My schedule was really crammed full, including flying around the galaxy a few times. Thankfully, everything got together in the end. We got everything we needed and the projects have started."
"It's good to hear that everything worked out for you," Ahsoka replied with a smile. "You've certainly spend enough time working on it from the sound of it. The people of Onderon are lucky to have you as Senator."
"I can't help but feel lucky as well," Lux replied with a smile. "After all, you're here with me."
Ahsoka laughed a bit at that. "I suppose you are," she replied playfully. "And I'm pretty sure I feel the same way."
"So how has everything been going for your family?" Lux asked. "Your family did grow by one. She seemed like a nice girl."
Ahsoka nodded. "She is," she replied. "She reminds me of myself a little as well. I'm really glad that I found her. She didn't deserve to go through the things she has. Especially not the things that could have happened to her."
"What do you mean?" Lux asked a bit confused. "She did mention that you saved her from something, but I don't know what happened."
"She had a really rough time. Her father was killed by a droid attack and then some sleemo killed her mother and abducted her," she explained, earning herself a shocked look from Lux. "I found her on Tatooine when we were working on getting the proof for the Separatist attack on Kiros. She had managed to run away from him and hid. I protected her from that sleemo when he found us. If I hadn't intervened, he would have sold her to the Hutts, an awful fate that she didn't deserve." She sighed and shook her head a little. "She stayed with us and my parents looked after her while I went to Kiros. When I came back, mom told me that they wanted to adopt her. She's family now, my little sister," she finished with a smile.
"That's awful. Someone so young should not have to go through any of that," Lux replied as he shook his head. "But she did seem pretty happy to be with you and your family."
"Yeah, she was really happy when I told her that my parents wanted to adopt her. Then again, so was I," Ahsoka replied as she laughed a bit. "We've really bonded already and teaching her about the Force has been wonderful so far. It's great to have her with us."
Lux smiled as well. "I'm sure that you'll have some great times together," he replied. "And with you teaching her, I'm sure that she'll become just as strong as you." He got up and went to grab a refill for their drinks.
"She's got a pretty good idea of the Force already and she's eager to learn more. Like I said, she's a bit like me," Ahsoka said happily.
"So how's the rest of your family doing? Is everything going well for your sisters?" Lux asked as he walked back to Ahsoka and sat down next to her again. "I know that I've been busy enough lately."
"Everything's has been going well. Lilo was pretty busy after the battle of Kiros. You know, getting everything on the planet back together, organizing repairs and things like that," Ahsoka replied as she accepted the drink from Lux. "And now they're both pretty occupied with recent events, especially Marina."
"Really? Is there something big going on?" Lux asked.
"You know her daughter Rosette?" Ahsoka asked in turn. "Before I set out to get everything we needed to help Kiros, I discovered who her father is. It turned out to be Marina's old friend, prince Zolar Vashee."
"Wow, that's…" Lux replied shocked. "That's quite a shock. How did your sister take that news? Is she doing alright?"
Ahsoka nodded. "It was a real shock for all of us, that's for sure," she said. "I was angry with him at first, but Prince Zolar did explain why he didn't say anything. If the news had come out, Marina could have ended up with a lot of problems. It could have destroyed her career before it really even started. He never meant to hurt her and tried to protect her by keeping it a secret."
"What are they going to do now?" Lux asked. "Now that it's out, what will they do?"
"Marina had a lot to think about first, but she and Zolar worked everything out in the end," Ahsoka replied. "They want to try and make things work together. Marina knew that Rosette wanted a father and she still cares a great deal for Zolar despite all this. It was quite a surprise announcement from them, especially to our parents. But now, they're going to get married in a few weeks."
"Really?" Lux asked in surprise. Ahsoka nodded and took a sip of her drink. "That's quite a surprise. But it does sound like it's the best way it could have gone for them. They should be able to work everything out if they want to get married."
"Yeah, that's true," Ahsoka replied. "They've both had feelings for each other for a long time and now they're finally getting together. Lilo has definitely enjoyed teasing Marina about it. But they all seem to be pretty happy with how everything it turning out."
Lux laughed a bit. He could picture Lilo messing with her sister about it. "Sounds like it definitely went the best way it could have gone," he said with a smile. The ships intercom sounded a notification. "Ah, we're almost at Naboo. Come on, let's get back to the cockpit." Ahsoka nodded eagerly and followed him.
;-
A few hours later they walked into the vacation house Lux had booked on Naboo. The landing had been smooth and without problems. They had a quick dinner at the spaceport and after that they'd gone to pick up the speeder they had rented. That had taken a bit longer than planned, because the Naboo spaceport had been very busy. After they had gotten the speeder, they had loaded their luggage on it and flown towards the house.
"This place looks amazing," Ahsoka said after she had walked in and turned on the lights. It had already become dark outside, so they didn't really have a good opportunity to see the sights now. Still, the house itself proved to be great to see as well.
"Only the best for you 'Soka," Lux replied as he followed her in. "I'm glad you like it." He had to admit it himself, the place looked pretty good. From the images he had seen while booking the place, he knew that the house had an amazing view of the nearby lake from the living room and the connected terrace. With how dark it now was, they wouldn't be able to see it, so Ahsoka would get a nice surprise in the morning. "Come on, let's put some things away and get some rest. We can go and really see the sights tomorrow."
Ahsoka smiled at him. "That sounds like a great idea," she said. "I can't wait to look around the area." She gave Lux a quick kiss on the cheek before she began to make her way to the bedroom with her bags. Lux smiled and made his way to the kitchen to put away the supplies he had brought along. They would need to get some more things tomorrow, but they would have enough for a few days should the stores happened to be closed.
As Ahsoka put her things away in the bedroom, she couldn't help but smile the entire time. Naboo was one of her favorite planets and she was here with her boyfriend. "Things can't get much better," she thought happily as she reached into her suitcase to grab the rest of her clothes. "Hang on, what's this?" She frowned as she felt a strange box amongst her clothes. She carefully picked it up. It was a small box wrapped in a simple white paper. She removed the paper and her eyes widened in shock. It was a box of condoms with a small note on it:
Have fun Sis!
M & L
Ahsoka groaned and dropped the box to the bed. Now she knew what her sisters had been so excited about before she left. "Those two…" She shook her head. "Are they hoping that we'll put these to good use?" she thought slightly amused. "Well…" Getting a little closer to Lux had been playing on her mind a bit for some time. She couldn't deny that the idea appealed to her.
She suddenly realized what she had been thinking about and her lekku darkened immediately. With some embarrassment she took the box and hid it away between her clothes, where she hoped Lux wouldn't find it. She sighed and finished putting away the rest of her things.
After Ahsoka had put her things away she joined Lux to help him out with the rest of the stuff. When everything had been put away nicely, they had gone to bed.

The next day
After they had woken up in the morning, Ahsoka had eagerly thrown open the curtains of the bedroom. The bright scenery of green plains bathing in the morning sun had made her gasp in amazement. Lux had joined her at the window and they had spent a few minutes just looking out the window.
They had breakfast out on the terrace, at Ahsoka's insistence. Bathing in the warm morning sun while looking out over the lake and enjoying breakfast had been wonderful.
Once they had finished their breakfast they had gone to the city. They had made sure to take a slow ride so that they could see the sights. "This area of Naboo is amazing," Ahsoka said as she looked around. "It's great to be here."
Lux smiled. "You're absolutely right about that. I'm really glad that Padmé recommended this location," he replied. "This place is amazing, but it's even better with you here."
Ahsoka smiled at him and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek, making sure she didn't interfere with his flying. "Having you here makes it better too," she said happily.
;-
After getting the groceries and everything else they needed, they had gone for a long walk around the area. It was a beautiful day and the scenery was great, so it would have been a shame not to do so.
They had walked around for a few hours, before ending with a picnic down by the lake at their house. Ahsoka smiled as she took a bite of the classic Ondoronian treat Lux had made. Before leaving the house, they had both made a few traditional snacks of both Shili and Onderon. They were planning on doing the same for dinner. Tomorrow they were going to Theed, the capital of Naboo, to look around and also eat there in the evening. Depending on how much there was to see and do there, they would go back there again.
Lux smiled as he ate the snack that Ahsoka had made. He had a bit of doubt when she described the meat treat, but he had to admit, it was pretty good. He looked at Ahsoka and saw that she was thinking about something. He thought of something funny. He took a credit out of his pocket and tossed it to the blanket next to Ahsoka. She looked at it and then at him with a questioning glance. "Credit for your thoughts, 'Soka?' he asked her.
She laughed a bit and tossed it back at him. "I'm just thinking about what my sisters are up to," she replied with a smile. "I'm sure that they're working on Marina's wedding and I'm almost a hundred percent positive that they will use it as an excuse to mess with me. You know, get me to try out dresses with them and things like that."
Lux couldn't help but laugh a bit at the annoyed undertone in her voice. "Well, that is part of a wedding. Everyone is expected to look their best," he said with a smile. "And besides, is trying out some dresses with your sisters really that bad? I mean, you looked absolutely amazing on Naboo."
Ahsoka blushed a bit and looked away slightly. "I don't know, it's just…" she paused a moment. "I guess I just don't like dressing up all fancy. It makes me a little uncomfortable. I prefer something simple."
"There's nothing wrong with that," Lux replied. "I've had that a few times before, it something about being all dressed up. Eventually you just get used to it. It doesn't bother me anymore."
Ahsoka shrugged. "I suppose you're right," she said. "I've just never really gave it much thought. Growing up in the Order, such things were never needed, so I never developed much interest in it." She saw that Lux suddenly had an amused smirk on his face. "Now what's on your thoughts?" she asked him.
Lux chuckled a bit. "Well, I know your sisters well enough to know that they won't take no as an answer from you. They're likely to drag you off to the stores in order to get you all dressed up," he replied amused.
Ahsoka winced a bit. "Yeah, you're probably right about that. They're going to love that," she said. "It's going to be an interesting time, that's for sure. But I'm sure that both Marina and Rosette will be very happy." They both smiled and finished up the picnic before heading back to the house.
;-
Ahsoka smiled as their second day on Onderon was coming to its end. After their trip around the area, they had enjoyed making dinner together. The combination of Shilian and Ondoronian dishes had been really great.
After dinner they had gone back outside to look at the sunset. Even in the light of the setting sun, the area they were in was truly a spectacular sight to behold. They'd spent the rest of the evening in each other's arms, quietly watching a movie.
As she was readying her clothes for the next day, her hands brushed against the box of condoms that her sisters had snuck in her bag. The thought of spending the night with Lux a bit more intimately had become more appealing to her as the day progressed. "But would Lux even want to be with me in that way?" she asked herself, a tiny bit of doubt taking her over. "I guess I'll just try and ask…"
;-
"Good night 'Soka," Lux said as he laid down next to Ahsoka in the bed.
Ahsoka wanted to reply the same way, but there was also something else that she wanted. "Hey Lux?" she asked quietly, a bit of nervousness filling her. He sat up a bit to look at her. "Uhm… Do you remember that prank Saw pulled on you when you came to Shili?"
Lux groaned a little. "How can I forget? That was one awkward moment if I've ever seen one," he replied. "What about it?"
"Well…" Ahsoka began slowly. "Guess what kind of prank my sisters pulled on me."
"Really? They did the same?" Lux asked somewhat amused. "I wouldn't exactly put it past them. But, why are you bringing this up now?"
Ahsoka smiled nervously as her lekku darkened a little. "Uhm… Well, let's just say I don't really mind anymore. To be honest, I think I'd rather make use of them," she admitted shyly. "I'd really like to get a little closer to you."
Lux was quite surprised by what she had just said, but he wouldn't deny that he wanted to be with her too. "I'd love to get closer to you as well," he replied.
Ahsoka smiled and got up from the bed. She moved to the closet and took the box of condoms out. She moved back to the bed and placed them on the nightstand next to them. Then she climbed back in the bed and rolled on top of Lux. "Are you sure you want this 'Soka?" Lux asked, just to be sure. Ahsoka gained a mischievous grin as she nodded. She gave him a passionate kiss that he returned with the same intensity. With a flick of her wrist, she then turned off the lights.
;-
That will be a good point to end the chapter on.
Ahsoka and Lux have brought their relationship to the next level. Their vacation continues in the next chapter with a tour of Naboo's capitol city.
I'll be working on a new chapter for Rebirth of Light next. I'm going to have to see how I'm going to finish this story. Right now I'm looking at maybe two or three more chapters. It's a bit unfortunate that Ahsokanerd quit fanfiction and that his stories were deleted, but I will finish up Rebirth of Light anyway.
Until next time.
