Third p.o.v

The tall man glances down at the girl who was screwing in the doors frame as he held the door, he could see the difference from just last night to tonight.

Nikki had been right to call him he thinks. Sarah's shoulders slumped forward, her eyes were red and puffy and he noticed a slight tremble to her hands.

Nikki watched from inside both in worry for her friend and marveling at the beauty of the door. She could tell her friend had put her emotions into making it.

The doors itself was painted a bright turquoise color with gold side handles for both doors. But what caught the eyes was the glass itself.

Nikki didn't remember seeing etched glass last night when they explored or when she checked it out earlier so she knew her friend had etched the design.

It was an image of mountains in the upper part that met, ocean with wildlife throughout it.

Nikki had been worried after five hours of not seeing her friend come out of the garage but now she could see why.

The sheer amount of detail in the glass gave it a 3D look like the birds would fly out or the tree branches would sway any moment. Or even the dolphins and orcas would come to life any second.

None of the glass was clear so there was no way to see in though you could see out from the inside of the house.

Sarah puts down the drill before standing and looking at the finished product with an unsatisfied look.

"Not the best but it'll do. Thanks Gummy. It would have been pretty difficult to hold them up and do that." Sarah says making her friend facepalm though she couldn't see it with the one door shut.

FatGum looks between her and the door wondering how she thought it was only passable and not a masterpiece.

Seeing him about to make a comment Sarah picks up the drill and starts walking back to the garage.

"Thanks, again. Next time you're off duty I'll make you some food." She says waving before disappearing into the backyard.

Sarah finishes installing the door before wiping her hands on her pants. "Ok no using the door till the cocking dries. I'm going on a walk don't wait up for me."

Nikki takes a step towards her friend hand outreached. "Are you sure you're ok enough to be alone right now?" She questions knowing her friends past suicidal thoughts.

Sarah pauses in the sliding door looking back at her friend tears evident in her eyes. "Don't worry, I'll be back...I just need some space and to clear my mind. I need to process my way."

Pursing her lips Nikki nods not liking it but understanding. "Promise me you won't do anything stupid?"

Sarah shrugs smirking. "Nope but I promise I will come back in one piece and alive."

Nikki sighs knowing that's the best she's going to get from her friend.

Sarah walks out shutting the door softly before shoving her hands in her hoodie pockets realizing she left her phone on her bed but shrugs it off not wanting to risk going back inside and having Nikki keep her there.

Nikki paces before finally plopping onto the couch biting her nails.

Her phone goes off and upon looking at it she see's Sarah's mom had messaged her. Then another, her sister.

Nikki reads them through the preview not wanting to let them know she got the messages.

"Fuck Sarah….this is going to be hell." Nikki mutters watching her phone ping with more messages from Sarah's family and even David.

Her heart went out for her friend, she knew this was her biggest fear in life more than anything.

Sarah looks up blinking from her aimless wandering. Looking around she didn't have the faintest idea where she was.

Turning in a circle she realizes she must be downtown from the sheer amount of people around and with all the clubs and bars.

Figuring she'd ask for directions back to her house she walks into a club that's music was drowning all the other sounds.

The place was packed full of people, Sarah makes her way over to the bar not noticing the looks she was receiving.

Such as a blond haired man with giant red wings tucked against his back, or a certain dark haired man with a fur lined purple jacket.

Waiting patiently for the bartender to have a moment she sits on a stool looking around at the dancing bodies not really paying attention to details as she didn't care.

"Hey sugar you here alone?" A man asks sliding in-between the person next to her and her seat.

She gives him dead eyes face blank. "Fuck off shittty breath."

His face twists into anger and he goes to grab her but before he can she's out of her chair and has his arm wrenched behind his back. "Look here I'll rip your fucking arm off and shove it so far down your throat you'll be shitting it if you don't fucking leave me alone."

Sarah's grief was beginning to turn to rage and she didn't care what happened to her or the world at the moment. That's why she had decided to get directions home to try and sleep it off.

This news plus no sleep had her on edge and she was ready to destroy things that annoyed her.

"Okay! Okay! I'm sorry!" The man says smacking the counter with her free hand.

The people around were just watching, the man she held captive was a nuisance to them all.

Sarah releases him and he scrambles away and out the door.

Rubbing her face she sits back down tapping her finger listening to the music.

She waits a couple more minutes before the bartender made his way over grinning.

"Hey thanks for waiting, what can I get you?"

Sarah's eyes snap to him from zoning out. "Uh I just need some directions I'm a bit lost. Where do I need to go to get near the UA high school? Once I'm in that general area I can manage."

He laughs. "Lady after that show you have to get a drink. It's on the house as that guy has been pestering everyone here for the last couple hours."

Sarah blinks at him before sighing and rubbing the back of her head a blush on her face. "Uh...whats super sweet with no taste of the alcohol? I don't really drink."

He laughs and holds up a finger. "I got you covered then. You look like a strawberry and tea type."

Sarah blinks resting her chin in her hand shrugging. "Must have a personality knowing quirk?"

She had been joking but he just blinks nodding wondering how she had guessed it. "Uh yeah, I do. How'd you know?"

Her brows furrow as she shrugs again. "I just guessed. Figured this job requires people skills and reading people."

He laughs sliding her an iced tea with strawberry and raspberry liquor with a couple shots of whiskey.

Taking a sip Sarah's eyes widen. "Damn that's good."

He laughs moving on to the next person as Sarah picks up her drink and spins the stool to watch the dance floor.

Her shoulders relaxed a bit and she actually smiled at an older couple dancing before her smile fades.

Knowing now she'd never get that with the man that held her heart. Before she could cry again she moved her eyes to another area just people watching.

The man in the purple coat walks over to an empty stool beside her standing leaning against the counter.

"Those were some interesting moves earlier, names Kai Chisaki." He says holding out his bare hand.

Sarah wasn't sure where she heard the name before shakes his hand. "Sarah and thanks."

Kai smirks as he deconstructs her quirk. though, what he didn't know is while he did so her quirk changed, adapting at the same molecular level his quirk was at, and in doing so unlocked a secondary quirk of hers she had no clue about.

Sarah blinks before smiling, her quirk temporarily out of commission so the alcohol in her system hit her at once, making her forget why his name was important.

Taking his hand back Kai puts his gloves back on. "So Sarah, you're new around here aren't you? Only regulars or important people ever come here."

Sarah scoffs waving him off taking another drink of the delicious drink. "Pffft….I'm a nobody. Literally! I just got lost and wandered in. Did you know bartenders are the best people on the planet? " she whispers her words slurring.

"Holy fuck how many drinks did I drink my good sir?" Sarah questions frowning not liking the feeling of fuzziness in her head.

The bartender sweat drops a bit chuckling. "About ten of those mixed drinks. Here I was going to ask if you were some enhanced person to not get drunk or at least buzzed by now."

Sarah sets the glass on the counter pushing it towards him waving her hands. "No more. I don't like this." She waves to her flushed face and relaxed body.

She stands reaching for her wallet when a gloved hand puts down cash and a voice says in her ear. "I got it. Why don't you go and enjoy the dance floor or sing a song for us all pretty little songbird."

Sarah's face flushes red as she springs away looking to see who the voice belonged to.

If she hadn't been so hammered she would have realized her second favorite Hero Hawks was the one rescuing her from the overpowered Overhaul who had been about to take her else where.

"Holy hell you're hot...why the fuck are two hot guys talking to me?" She mumbles not meaning to be speaking out loud. "Ya know what this is all just a dream...yup a dream. Thanks dream dude I'mma go." She says making finger guns and walking away shaking her head slapping her cheeks to try and wake up.

Saying fuck it she climbs onto the side of the stage where a DJ raises an eyebrow at her.

"Hey, the hot dude with pretty wings told me to sing. Can you play A little bit off? By five finger death punch?" Sarah questions.

Looking over to the said man while being very confused as his boss never had any random person sing at the club.

Hawks nods holding up his drink in response to his pointing at the woman who just stared at the booth seeming entranced.

Shrugging he hands her a mic and finds the super old song wondering how the fuck she knew it and just hoped she wasn't a shitty singer seems there was a news crew in the crowd tonight.

Meanwhile Nikki flips idly through the channels wondering where the fuck her friend was at. Stopping on a news channel before picking up her phone and calling her friends phone.

Ringing above her head makes her freeze before frowning and going up to her friends room phone still against her ear.

Thinking Sarah just snuck in without her knowing.

So when Nikki sees the phone lit up on the bed she instantly gets even more worried knowing her friend got lost on a normal day let alone when she wasn't thinking straight.

Ending the call she heads downstairs starting to dial the number FatGum had slid to her when Sarah wasn't paying attention.

Not paying attention to what the TV reporter was saying.

"Well folks it looks like we'll get a live performance from a possible up coming star. Let's see what she can do!"

Nikki runs a hand through her hair pacing while the phone rang.

The camera zooms in on Sarah who sat on a chair in the middle of a dark stage a single spot light on her. Taking a breath before beginning.

" I'm a little bit off today, something down inside me's different

Woke up a little off today, I can tell that something's wrong

I'm a little thrown off today, there's something going on inside me

I'm a little bit off today, a little bit off today,"

Nikki slowly turns around recognizing the song knowing it didn't belong here.

When she saw Sarah her mouth dropped and she hung up going to stand in front of the TV.

"Oh fuck…." Nikki mutters hand covering her mouth in shock.

She instantly knew her friend had been drinking or she'd never be in front of that many people singing she barely sang around her.

"Is that Hawks?" She mutters squinting at a red winged man on the side of the screen next to Overhaul.

Looking closer she spots Allmight and Eraser along with Mic. "Oh shit is that a raid?"

"See, I'm a little bit off today, I cannot put my finger on it

Got up a little off today, just to play that same old song

I don't really wanna try today, I see nothing in my reflection

I'm a little bit dry today, feel like I could die today." Sarah continues to sing completely oblivious to who was in the crowd as a few stray tears ran down her face.

Nikki quickly bolts out of the house running towards the bar her friend was at a feeling of dread in her gut. She knew something was going to happen and her friend needed her.

Sarah finishes the song bowing and jumping off the stage putting her hands in her pockets.

She starts to walk towards the door figuring she'd head home and just sleep it off. Her head was starting to clear and she was tired and sore. Glancing at her watch she realizes she had been out all night as it was almost two in the morning.

"Hey sweetheart where you going?" A hand clamps onto Sarah's shoulder making her bristle.

She wasn't a touchy person or like drunks so the combo brushed her the wrong way.

Shrugging it off Sarah tries walking away ignoring the drunk. She brushed his hand off four times before flipping around palming his stomach.

As he bent over in pain she turned to leave yet again when a hand was placed on her shoulder.

She instinctively elbows the person as hard as she could before reinforcing the hit by using her full body and her other hand pushing into the person's stomach.

Though unfortunately for both parties it wasn't the same man, this man was AllMight.

The force of impact plus the added strength causes a crack as loud as thunder to be heard with wind forming and pushing the crowd away from the two while the impact causes AllMight to go flying through the wall and continuing for several blocks.

Sarah's eyes widen as she realizes who she hit. "Shit! I'm sorry!"

AllMight would have continued flying if it hadn't been for a large man absorbing him into his belly sliding back and shrinking with each foot.

Sarah's eyes were like saucers and from the alcohol, stress and lack of sleep she collapses her vision going black as her quirk had returned full force shutting her body down.
