Clem fell to the ground. Her hands catching her on the way down. That was when she noticed it. Cold hard, bricks. There was barely any light to see, not even the moonlight was able to shine through. Where had the lights from the hardware store go?

"Clem? Clem, are you okay?"

The child froze. That voice. Lee? She slowly turned to her left to find the man himself kneeling down to her. His eyes being the most recognizable yet sickening feature. Oh no...

"Come on, Clem. We... we have to keep moving." He struggled to get out. The child suddenly remembered where she was. She was back in Savannah. Where she finally found her parents.

Where she lost him.

The child got a quick look at her guardian's features. Although she wasn't able to see, she could still remember how he looked back in store. He'd grown so pale. His complexion was no longer there and his eyes brew a yellowish color.

The man gently picked her back up and they continued to walk through the herd. Over the few gaps made by the walkers, Clementine could see the store where Lee fainted in front of coming up.

A moment later, she saw them. Her parents. Her mother, Father. Dead. Roaming aimlessly around. Not again... The child frozed as her mother's eyes locked onto hers and she suddenly felt tears brimming at the edge of her eyelids.

"Clem, don't..."

"Lee?" The child weakly called out, feeling a pair of hands carrying her. She got a quick look at who. It was Sarita.

"C-Clementine? A-are you okay?" The woman asked, concerned.

"S-...Sarita?"

"Yes, yes. I'm here, are you alright?"

The child ignored her inquiry as she took note of her surroundings. "W-where... where are we?" She asked as the they slowly passed by the trees.

"I don't know. But it's been awhile since we got away from the herd."

"I-Is everyone okay?"

"I... don't know. I got separated from, Kenny but then I saw you laying on the ground." The woman then glanced at the child's bloody bandage covering her eye. "How is your..." She was going to say eye but then it occurred to her that that was a stupid question. "How are you feeling?"

"I-I'm o-okay at the moment." In all honesty, the child wasn't sure how she was feeling; Her eye wasn't in pain, her head no longer plagued with throbbing aches. But she can't help but notice a lingering feeling of nausea. Every direction her head turned, the urge to vomit would make itself apparent. Even so much as turning slowly.

"Well, you need to make sure you get some rest. After what h-happened. You need it."

And with that, Clementine slipped back into unconsciousness.

Clementine awoke against the hard yet soft floor. She slowly looked around, to find that she was in a tent. She then noticed the carpet layed upon the ground and the tent was empty. No one else was in it but her.

She found herself thinking back to the herd and how... familiar it felt. Back in Savannah, her guardian Lee fainted in the middle of the herd and there she was fainting in the herd to have someone save her. Just like she did with Lee. What a coincidence.

The good thing was that she wasn't feeling nauseated. Not wanting to piss off her body anymore, she slowly and gingerly got up from the floor.

She walked over to the opening of the tent and moved aside the flap getting blinded by the sudden ray of brightness. Kenny and Sarita sat by a fountain. They were at a civil war memorial, the problem was that they were the only ones who were there. The rest of the group was no where to be seen.

"Clem!" Kenny called out to her. He got up from his seat and walked over to her; engulfing her in a hug. The child merely returned his hug and she heard the man sigh in relief. "Ah thought... ah thought you were..." Clem knew what he meant. She came close to though, if it wasn't for Sarita; who knows what would've happened. Would have anyone else saved her or would she have been lost to the herd?

He released her and he gently grasped the child's shoulder. "You okay?"

"Yeah. I-I think... where's everyone else?"

The man fully released her. "Mike and Bonnie, went out lookin' for Luke and the others."

"Do you know what happened with, Jane?"

Kenny scoffed. "She didn't wanna wait around so she just left."

"On her own?"

"Yeah."

Clementine had no ill intentions against the girl. She hadn't harmed any of them, the child felt indifferent toward her.

She and Kenny walked over to Sarita who was by the fountain.

It had been a good forty five minutes since Clementine had woken up. She thanked Sarita for saving her, back in the herd and the three of them sat around and chat while they waited for the others to get back.

The child was reading a couple of civil war history posters. She found herself thinking back to the hardware store. Specifically Carver. He claimed that they were the same. That they both had what it took to survive. That may be true to some extent. The difference was that she killed in order to protect herself and her group.

So if she took pleasure in it. So she got a thrill from it. Be that as it may, regardless she was still protecting her group; she was just having fun at the same time.

But then Luke's disapproving look came into her head. She recalled back to how the others were looking at her. Aside from, Rebecca and Kenny; the others looked hesitant and maybe even unnerved. She wondered what they thought of her.

Did they agree with her decision to kill Carver? Luke definitely didn't. Clementine wasn't mad at him, she couldn't be. After all, if it wasn't for him and Pete saving her back in the forest, she would've been dead.

"Y'all made out alright?" Kenny's voice snapped her out of her thoughts. She turned to see Mike and Bonnie walking back with Luke, Carlos, Sarah and Rebecca following behind.

"Yeah, we're alright," Luke replied. "Is, Clem okay?" He added.

She walked over to the group and Sarah's eyes lit up. "Clem!"

"Clementine! How you feeling, honey?" Rebecca asked, soothingly.

"I-I'm okay." The child smiled at her. She was caught off guard when she was suddenly engulfed in a hug by Sarah.

"I t-thought they got you," came the teen's tearful reply.

"I'm okay, Sarah." Clementine gave a few soft taps on the teen's back. Although it was a nice gesture, the child felt slightly embarrassed with everyone watching their exchange.

"Clementine, let me check your bandage." Carlos said.

After everyone got settled in, Kenny and Luke began to discuss where everyone should go. Kenny insisted on getting to Wellington as soon as possible when Luke objected, saying that Rebecca's gong to have the baby soon.

Clementine was in the tent once more, Sarah was with her this time.

Sarah's father knelt down in front of her. He gently cupped the child's face with his left hand and with his right hand gingerly lifted up the bandage. The child flinched at the pain, the inside of the bandage was bloody and some of it was dried up making the cloth stuck around the socket.

Sarah sat beside her. The bandage was on the other side of her friend's face, so she was unable to see the injury. Not that it would be a good sight anyway.

"H-How bad does it look?" Clementine asked, almost afraid of the answer. She wasn't even aware that the bandage was already lifted. In fact, she didn't even felt the cloth being lifted; her entire socket felt utterly numb.

"It's bad," came the doctor's brutally honest answer. "You're lucky to even be here. After what... Carver had done to you." The doctor glanced at his daughter before turning back to the child. He stopped examining her socket. "How have you been as of late?"

"I... I've been feeling a bit... sick?" Clementine answered. "I-I've been getting bad headaches and dizziness."

Carlos inwardly sighed, fearing the worst. The first thought that came to mind was a skull fracture. It was sort of common knowledge, really. It didn't take a doctor to figure out what was wrong. After an ordeal like that, he heavily anticipated that there would be some level of damage to her skull.

Nausea, dizziness, headaches; obvious signs of a fracture. He'd just hope that it wasn't too severe, can't exactly perform surgery at a time like this.
