Fox: No, this isn't an illusion. It actually updated again. It was kind of hard for me to do, since I really want to just go through and elaborate some parts that I've already passed. But I figure I should finish what I started first.

*****CHAPTER 7*****
Tsuna came down stairs to the delicious smell of food. Since it didn't burn his nostrils, then it wasn't Bianchi who was cooking. The only other person in the household who enjoyed cooking and would go through the trouble so early in the morning was…
"Nana!" Tsuna looked into the kitchen to see her working away, humming to herself and looking happier than she had in ages. Food covered every surface, ranging from cakes to turkeys and salads.
"Ah, good morning Tsuna!" Nana turned to him and waved her the knife in her hand at him. "Could you be a dear and take that soup off the stove?"
"What's all this about?" Tsuna did as he was told, putting the pot on the counter as Nana put another in it's spot.
"That's what I was wondering." Bianchi walked into the room, snacking on a shrimp. But I-pin and Lambo were following behind her, munching on freshly baked cookies. "She's been up since midnight, humming and singing to herself. I can respect getting into cooking, but I'll admit I'd like to know."
"Tsuna's father's coming home!" Nana replied just as Ieyasu came down the stairs, Reborn sitting on his head.
"What? I thought that old fart was dead." Ieyasu yawned loudly.
"She said he disappeared and became a star, not that he was dead." Tsuna corrected and the only reason he wasn't promptly hit for contradicting Ieyasu was that Reborn had Leon in a gun form and against Ieyasu's head, threatening him to even try.
"He's been mining oil in a foreign country. He's finally gotten a vacation after all these years and I want to make tonight's dinner extra special for him." Nana's humming started up again as she returned her attention to her cooking. As Ieyasu started to talk to the other's about his past with their dad, Tsuna went up to the roof. With the sun still rising, it was a beautiful view . Fuuta was sitting there, his book clutched tightly to his chest. His eyes were closed and breathing steady, but tears trailed silently down his face.
Tsuna sat down next to him for a little while, sending out rain flames around them in an effort to sooth the little boy. It was obvious the kid was trying to keep it together, and he usually was able to keep a mask of happiness on around others. But Tsuna knew that there was just something broken in Fuuta that would take a little while to fix.
"Any luck?" Tsuna asked after a little while. Fuuta shook his head.
"No, nothing yet. But I'm not gonna stop trying." Fuuta opened his wet eyes and they burned with conviction. In years, it wouldn't be an insane thought to think that he could discover a flame. Although in Tsuna's world Fuuta didn't show any signs of having a strong flame or being interested in discovering one, content where he was in life. "Do you know why Kaa-san is baking so much food?'
"My dad's coming home today. I have school, but since we won't be able to really hang out at home afterwards, do you want to go for a walk afterwards?" Fuuta smiled up at Tsuna.
"That'd be great!"
In all honesty, Tsuna had thought that this was how it was going to go: Just Fuuta and him, getting icecream or something. Maybe he'd witness the battle between Basil and Squalo, have Cielo 'appear' and save Basil, just kinda see where his Hyper Intuition took him from there.
But then I-pin found out, and she wanted to come too. I-pin told Lambo and Lambo came mostly in hopes of getting candy. When Yamamoto overhead this, he wanted to come and since it was quickly becoming obvious that he thought that 'dame' Tsuna was the best things since sliced bread. There was no way that Ieyasu was letting somebody in his familia or, more accurately, as cool as Yamamoto hang out with Tsuna, so he came. Gokudera went wherever Ieyasu went. Ieyasu invited Kyoko. Ryohei and Bianchi both came to keep (extreme) watch over their siblings.
Tsuna was put in charge of watching over the kids. Which basically translates into watching Lambo while Fuuta and I-pin follow behind us. Oh the places that Lambo took them. From pet shops to a rack of bras (which none of the kids understood what they were) they journeyed until they came to a few tables that we sat down at and took a break. Tsuna got sodas for each of the kids, which kept them quiet for a while.
"You always seemed like you'd be good with dealing with kids." Tsuna jumped a bit and turned to see Gokudera leaning against a pillar, watching Lambo laugh so hard that Grape Soda was being snorted out his nose. "I've never been able to stand the little brats."
"Ah, Gokurdera-san, what are you doing here? Aren't you supposed to be playing that mafia game with Ieyasu?"
"Bianchi was there, and I'd be little help to Jyuudaime when throwing up on his feet." Gokudera answered after a second, shifting around nervously. "So I've decided I'd be better help by guarding the Jyuudaime-clone. You, too, have Vongola blood in your veins, and it would be good practice for me to try and keep one alive, And if I don't succeed, no harm will be done."
"Thanks Gokudera for caring." I smiled at him.
"I don't actually care, your just an extra that could care less abo-" Gokudera started off indignantly but was cut off at a large crash. A figure was thrown straight through the roof and smacked into Tsuna. They both went flying through a building, dust flying everywhere like a thick fog. Tsuna quickly fumbled for his Voice Alter in his pocket, throwing it into his mouth. He threw up his hood and used a simple illusion to change the appearance of his jacket enough that it didn't look his own, turning it dark purple.
"I'm sorry." Basil apologized, getting up and offering Tsuna a hand. Tsuna stood up without it, his mist ring blazing. This immediately caught Basil's eye. "Who art thou, mist-flame user?"
"Cielo Dieci."
"Jyuudaime-clone!" Gokudera ran over, looking through the rubble for Tsuna.
"The boy got scared and ran off. He looked like minimal damage was done to him." Tsuna informed Gokudera. Gokudera glared at him.
"It's you again."
"VOOOI! Who are all these scum? Get out of the way or I'll slice up all you trash!" Squalo shouted, and Tsuna did his best to repress a smile at such a familiar sound. Instead he made it a kind of amused smirk, as if Squalo was an interesting bug. He could thank Reborn for teaching him that particular expression.
"A storm is coming." Reborn remarked, looking up at the swordsman before turning to Kyoko. "All women and children should flee the area."
"Stay back. I apologize, it seems that I have been followed. Allow me to take him out."
"Wait, that thing on your head." Ieyasu finally ran over, staring at the blue flame burning brightly on Basil's forehead. "Is that a Dying Will flame?"
"Art thou… Sawada Ieyasu?" Basil stooped into a bow. "To think, I have only just met thee and have already brought thee into a dangerous situation. It is not safe here, allow me to bring thee somewhere safer." Basil grabbed Ieyasu's arm and started to drag him off. "I must tell thee something of utmost importance."
"VOOOII! Where do you think you're going brat? And who are these pieces of trash you've picked up?" Squalo landed right in front of Basil. Squalo cut the boy across the chest with enough force to throw him into a wall. "Did you really think you could beat me? I'll just ask the other brat for answers. You can die!" Squalo began to bring his sword down on the rain flame user but a gloved hand stopped his arm. On the back of the glove was a silver X.
"REBORN! LONG-HAIR, I WILL DEFEAT YOU WITH MY DYING WILL!" Ieyasu roared. You could practically see Squalo's brain putting two and two together, realizing that this was, in fact, the heir to the Vongola mafia. It was sad to say that, even in Dying Will mode, Squalo had no trouble taking Ieyasu out. Not that it had been much different for Tsuna at this part either. Before further damage could be done to the heir, who was no longer in DWM, a boomerang shot out and exploded, sending up smoke everywhere.
"Ieyasu, my name is Basil. The Master sent me to give you these." Tsuna could hear Basil explaining to Ieyasu, but his focus was on the baby standing in front of him. Currently in a potted plant disguise, he was looking up at Cielo with interest.
"I wish I could say it's a pleasure to see you again, but I believe I'd have to know you first." Cielo dipped into a bow.
"Well, since I know so much about the famous Reborn, and I can say that I do feel it a pleasure, meeting again. I just came by to watch some fireworks. Afraid I forgot to bring some popcorn." Reborn titled his head at this, obviously trying to figure out the puzzle placed before him.
"Maybe we should meet up some time. Get some coffee. Talk a bit." Reborn offered. An attempt to get to know each other, to find out more about this new player. Tsuna had never known Reborn to try and use normal, conventional was to get to known a person, which meant that his resources must have searched for a Cielo Dieci and come up dry.
"Perhaps another day. But I think I might must interrupt before your pupil over there gets killed."
While they had been talking Gokudera and Yamamoto had both tried to stop the Shark, both brushed off like flies. The only thing standing between him and Ieyasu, or more importantly the box, was Basil who looked like he wouldn't be able to stand on his feet for much longer.
Basil was in bad condition. Admittably, it wasn't a I'm-going-to-die-in-a-few-seconds, but more like I've-been-awake-for-days-evading-Squalo-and-everything-hurts condition. But he wasn't about to give up. He was going to protect Lord Sawada with his Dying Will, willing to die for the mission.
Slow clapping drew everybody's attention, stopping Squalo before he could give another blow and start up the deathly dance they had been doing for a while now. Basil immediately recognized The boy he had landed on earlier, Cielo Dieci. It was only now that Basil really looked at the boy, realizing how the hood was carefully position to hide all of his hair and eyes. Mist flames clung to Cielo, dense enough that in his weak state he wouldn't stand a chance seeing through it.
"Brilliant fight, I liked the special effects. Absolutely wonderful. But you know what? In the end, I'm still not amused. In fact, it was a little bit disappointing in the end. I mean, really Squalo? I thought you were supposed Xanxus' Rain Guardian, and here you haven't been able to take out a kid half your age. Usually, I wouldn't interfere, but Basil means a lot to me. How about you just walk away right now and we call it good?"
"You brat! How dare you! Don't you know who I am?"
"Uh, I just proved that I do." Squalo ran towards Cielo, who jumped into the air and kicked Squalo in the stomach. Squalo was taken by surprise, having not expected the newcomer to be quite so powerful. He cursed under his breath, grumbling about how he didn't have time for this, and set a few smoke bombs off. Basil coughed as the smoke invaded his lungs, and when it had cleared Squalo was nowhere to be seen. A gasp behind him made Basil whip his head around. Ieyasu was staring at his hands. The box was gone.
"Ieyasu!" Dino and Romario came from around the corner. Dino had his whip in his hands, ready for battle. Cielo looked at the Mafia boss, who had halted in his tracks upon seeing the boy.
"Bucking-Horse." Was all Cielo said. And for a second, his jacket wavered, the dark purple jacket momentarily being replaced by a blue and orange one before the illusion was reinforced, Cielo's concentration having been taken momentarily off guard. Instead, the mist-user turned around and looked at Basil, who flinched back slightly. The boy before him was powerful and dangerous. A hand gently brushed Basil's chest, right over the sword wound. Basil looked at the rings that littered the boy's hand, all different colors of the rainbow. The orange one, there was something written on it, but Basil's sight was getting blurry.
"You'll live, but you'll need a hospital." That was the last words Basil heard before blackness overtook his vision.
Tsuna was visiting the Basil, who lay unconscious in a hospital bed. He wouldn't be able to stay by him forever, Ieyasu and the others would be coming soon, and Tsuna wasn't in the mood for them right now. It had been hard enough watching Basil flinch away from him. A boy that Tsuna had seen as a brother, has swapped stories of his dad with, was afraid of him.
Who is he to you? Reru's voice echoed in Tsuna's mind. He's part of the mafia, right?
"Yeah, he works with dad."
Wait, dad's in the mafia?! Why didn't you tell me?!
"Hey, you never asked! How do you even start that conversation? 'Hey, you know your dad who is also my dad? Well turns out that he is alive and works for the mafia. He is also a direct descendant of Primo and the reason why our lives got turned upside down. But don't worry, he chose two of the least likely people to be your guardians so it's all okay.'"
…Tsuna, I didn't understand half of what you said. Tsuna sighed.
"Yeah, those are lessons for another day. Let's get to bed, it's been a big day and it's time you did some more training."
Aww, but Tsuna, I still have bruises from last night!
"Then let that encourage you not to fall so often."
Nobody saw him, but a young boy watched the young heir as he talked seemingly to himself. The boy smiled, thinking to himself that this was a great idea. At least it was in his opinion, and since he was the only way that Tsuna could get back home, then that just meant his opinion was the only one that mattered. Two dragons, one black and one white, rested on either shoulder. He stroked one in a way that greatly resembled an evil villain stroking a cat.
"Byakuran, it's time to go home, you've got homework you need to work on!"
"Coming mom!"
