"Are you sure this will work?" Glowing red eyes beamed from across the room towards the darkly cladded woman who stood with clear annoyance towards her questioner as this was not the first time today that she had heard such a question from her Emperor. Arms folded over her chest and fingers drumming against her forearms Morgana huffed and stamped her foot with irritation as she looked towards the skeletal being seating across from her, daring to question her plan, she may long her Mora but she still held the temper of a child at times.

"For the last time, YES! You asked me to get someone the rangers wouldn't think of, check. You asked me to give the crystal to that fool Broodwing, check. He then found the device and gave it AND the crystal to Jaxalor. I don't see why they got to have all the fun with the rangers, I could have done the job much quicker" Pouting as she stamped her foot again Morgana rolled her eyes with clear attitude towards Grumm before suddenly jumping back as the Emperor slammed his hands down onto his chair and lent forward.

"Enough! This is why I gave the job to Broodwing. You are still too much of a child to handle something this big. Now. GET OUT OF MY SIGHT!" The rough voice echoed throughout the ship that lingered just beyond earth. Running his hand along the broken edge of the bone upon his head Grumm waited until he was alone in the room before he spoke again. "A body cannot live without its heart, take away the heart and the body will die"

"SYD" Sky's voice rang loud and clear around the docks, bouncing off the metal of the shipping containers and into the open air. The ranger was torn; go after Jaxalor or help is fallen ranger? Sky wasn't one for pauses when duty called but this one tugged at his heart, conflicted by his duty and the duty to his heart. Watching as from under the pile of scrapped metal the monster erupted with ease, shaking the metal off him like it was water, Sky's answer was made for him as from somewhere behind him came a blot of green laser followed by the sound of his team mates arriving for back up. With help now at hand Sky didn't spare a single second as he hurried towards the injured rangers side, crashing down onto his knees next to the woman adorned in grey and pink. For all Sky knew the world could have been crashing down around him as he looked for any signs of life coming from Sydney but he wouldn't take notice until he knew she was alright. Ripping the white glove from his hand Sky's fingers gingerly reached against the soft skin of Syd's neck, hoping, praying, begging even to find the pulse from under her skin. His shoulders fell slightly as the steady thumps from Sydney's heart pressed against his fingers with a strong rhythm.

Jaxalor wasn't one to go into custardy peacefully, taking each one of the rangers hits in his stride the orange beast laughed as with a fling of his arm he had send the yellow ranger backwards. Skidding backwards on her feet Z placed her hand down on the ground and she captured her breath back into her body, she was in ear shot of Sky and seeing how still Sydney was panic arose from within her. "Is she OKAY?" Her heart was in her throat as is waited for an answer, seeing only a swift nod coming from the blue ranger Z took this as a good sign that she could join in the battle once more.

"Whoa!" Stopping himself from spinning back from the force of one of Jaxalors mighty hits, Bridge grabbed a hold of one of the open doors to the shipping containers, "This doesn't make sense, Kat said this guy was small time, nothing like this" Shouting over to Jack and Z, the green ranger stepped forward ready to take another hit from Jaxalor but it never came. He just stood there, still, looking down each one of the still standing rangers before the words and voice of Grumm echoed from the monsters mouth. "Take away the heart and the body will die" It was almost as if the fragment was part of a bigger sentence that they had only caught the end of but it was enough to send chills down the spine of every ranger as Jaxalor finally looked past the morphed rangers to the ranger who was laying still. "Pink has always been the heart of the team" In the brief moment that the standing rangers had followed his gaze Jaxalor laughed in the voice of Emperor Grumm before the real and true voice of Jaxalor finally came through the first time. "What? Where am I?"

Confused and clearly disoriented Jaxalor looked around at the docks at the mass of destruction that he had clearly caused before he looked back to the fallen ranger before he started to back away, in shock of what he had just done Jaxalor did the only thing he knew to do in a moment like this. Run away. With the crystal and device in his clutches, Jalaxor vanished, leaving the rangers to deal with what had been left behind.

Reaching his hand up towards the mass of blonde curls that was signature to the pink ranger, Sky frowned as never in a battle and anyone been out for this long, it almost looked like she sleeping. Moving the chair back from her face a little more Sky could see a trail of blood leading from her hair line and leaving a deep red drip slowly forming against her forehead. Feeling the rest of the team suddenly around him, Sky lifted his head for a moment before his eyes fell back down to Syd. "Come on Syd, you need to wake up" As much as Sky was trying not to let his feelings get the better of him at the point in time, it was getting harder and harder to keep them at bay the longer that Sydney's eyes remained closed. Turning his head sharply Sky looked around the monster that had caused this in the first place, "Where is he?!" Anger rose from the back of his throat as no matter where he looked it was just them and the stillness of the docks.

"He-he escaped" Bridge's voice was almost sheepish as he looked towards the ranger lying on the ground, not daring to meet the gaze of an angered blue ranger. Instead opting to keep his gaze at the ground beside Syd not wanting to look at his fallen friend for the moment as he reached down towards his belt and brought his morpher to his face. "Kat, we're going to need the medics out here. Syd's been hurt" Solemnly putting his morpher back onto his belt Bridge, followed by the rest of the rangers broke their morphs as Kat's voice rang loud and clear.

"On its way" Pulling up surveillance of what had happened to Cadet Drew, Dr Manx frowned as she moved her fingers across the screen, zooming the image of Jaxalor as he reached out from under the metal and activated the device that had caused Sydney to be hurt in the first place. Her eyes moving back and forth a few times as she tried to get a better view of the green glow that came from the crystal, she had seen things like this before but not in a very long time, finally getting the shot that she wanted of the mysterious item, the feline doctor gasped in shock. "It can't be"

"It can't be what? Dr Manx" Hearing a voice from behind her, Kat jumped slightly as the commander hadn't been in the room when she had started, although the big blue dog did have a way of sneaking up on her at times. Leaning into the screen the Doggie narrowed his eyes as he tried to made heads or tails of what Kat found so shocking about the item.

"Sir before I make an accurate decision I would like to study the footage a little more. But you should know that the medic vehicle had been deployed, Syd has been hurt" Giving her attention back to the screen, Kat replayed the video again for her commanding officer, turning her head away as she watched Syd's body fall heavily onto the ground.

As the sound of sirens drew closer to the docks the rangers continued to keep a close eyes on their friend, watching for any signs of movement and hoping that the call for the medics was just a precaution and that any moment now Syd with open her blue eyes and they could go on with looking for Jaxalor. "I'll go wait for the medics, bring them to her, there is no way the vehicle is going to fit between all these container" Standing up and pulling the hem of his jacket down Jack took one last look at Syd before he let himself break into a sprint, heading towards to gates that lead into the docks. Only coming to a complete halt as he laid eyes on the flashing lights that circled brightly, hitting nearby surfaces with hits of lights, pushing his hand back though his dreads pushing them out of his face as he waited for the help to come closer. "Helps coming Syd"

Running back towards Syd and the rest of his team, Jack brought with him two medics, their bodies covered in blue coveralls and large duffle bags hung over their shoulders as they came to Syd's side, asking the other rangers to step back from Syd's body allowing them space them work in the hurt ranger. It took a few pushes to get Sky to move away from the pink ranger but finally with the help of Bridge, Sky agreed to take two steps back, he wanted to keep her in is sight at all times.

Watching over the medics every move Sky couldn't help feel like this was his fault, if he hadn't have been day dreaming about the pink ranger he would have been able to see the metal moving and would have been able to assist her, rather than watching what had happened. Letting out a shaking breath the blue ranger watched as one of the medics pulled out a body scanner and hovered it above the pink ranger before whispering something to his fellow medic as she placed a neck brace around Syd for protection. "What's going on? Why are you whispering?" It was more than clear that Sky had been agitated by the way he had been asked to step back and now by the way the medics were looking at Syd and whispering to each other.

"We're going to take Cadet Drew back to S.P.D Delta Base, Dr Felix is prepped and waiting for her back at the base, he will fill you in once he has run a few more tests on her" Not wanting to be intimidated by the blue ranger the medic nodded as she headed back to the vehicle to grab a pat slide board for transporting Syd. Opening the double doors the female medic quickly pulled out the long board, hooking it under her arm. Pausing for a moment a for a second she could have sworn that something orange had peeked out from behind one of the gates but upon second glace there was nothing there, nobody what so ever. Human or otherwise. Bringing herself back to the task at hand she soon placed the board next to Syd and gently helped to roll her onto her side as the pat slide was moved under her before Syd was rolled onto her back once again and strapped down safely. "On three we lift. One, two, three" Lifting Syd up on the board the medics were ready to move off from the docks with the pink ranger only to be stopped as Sky stepped forward.

"I'm coming with you, I'm coming with her" The determination in Sky's voice showed that this time no one was going to push him away from the pink ranger, he was going with her and they were not going to stop him, not this time. Stepping forward and taking a hold of one of the handles on the pat board he walked along Syd's side. Climbing into the back of the medic vehicle Sky gave a quick glace up towards his team, a somewhat sad half smile on his lips as his view was obstructed as the doors were closed and the sound of lights and sirens started up again, taking the blue and pink rangers back to base, leaving the rest of the rangers watching as two of their friends were driven away.

"Do you think Syd's gonna be okay" Z's eyes followed the vehicle until it was out of her line of sight, in the back of that van was not only her roommate/ teammate but her friend. A damn good friend.

"It's Syd, she's tough, she'll be okay Z" Placing his black gloved hand against her shoulder, Bridge stepped up beside the woman dressed in yellow as he listened to the sirens getting softer and softer. Feeling Z start to walk away he looked over towards Jack, shrugging his shoulders as for once Bridge didn't have confidence in the words he had just said. "I hope"
