Without meaning too Z had fallen asleep on the small sofa, rather uncomfortably the yellow ranger uncurled herself from the position she had been sleeping in. Bringing her hand up to her neck and trying to rub the stiffness away Z groaned as she rocked her head from side to side trying to loosen up her body, at least she had gotten some sleep that was something at least.
"Tsk Tsk Z, I thought you knew better then to stay out all night and sleep on a tiny sofa" Now dressed in his uniform Jack entered the common room and walked over to the coffee table, picking up Z's empty mug and taking it over to the sink. He was trying to keep Z's mind off Syd for as long as she could but that soon changed the moment that the commander and Dr Felix walked past the room in deep conversation; you didn't have to be Bridge to know what the topic was.
"I'd better go and get ready for duty, no doubt Commander Cruger will have a plan of action by now" Still rubbing her neck as she walked away to her room Z knew that all of them would stop at nothing to help Syd, the only thing that worried her was how far they would have to go in the first place.
Putting on his uniform jacket and zipping it up Sky looked down at the photo of him and his dad, knowing that he had followed his heart, Sky knew he could do the same but for that to happen Syd would have to wake up. He was going to talk to Commander Cruger about bringing Jaxalor in; he wanted to be the one to question the monster. To know what he got out of this from Grumm, they already knew what Grumm what getting out of this, the chance to defeat the rangers but why make Jaxalor the middle man in all this?
Leaving his room, Sky was on a mission and he wasn't going to let anyone stop him, not when it was about someone so important to him. Seeing the large blue dog and one of the two cat like Doctors rounding the corner of the hallway, the blue ranger jobbed after them, he wasn't going to miss his chance. "Commander Cruger, Sir" Calling out as he stood a few feet short of the highly raked man Sky stood at attention and drew his arm and closed fist across his chest in a S.P.D salute.
"Yes, Cadet Tate?" Commander Cruger had an insight to what the ranger was going to ask him about and he had already spent hours debating if it was a good idea to let Sky bring Jaxalor into custardy, he knew his rangers well having watched some for a close ranger and other from afar since they were children. Maybe letting Sky bring him in wasn't the best idea after the Mirloc situation but Sky HAD proved himself to take the big step and show that he had grown as not only a man but as a power ranger as well.
"About Jaxalor" Sky was about to explain his request when a large blue hand was help up, telling the cadet to halt his words.
"You want to be the one to bring him in, to get justice for Sydney and hopefully some answers" Turning to look at the Doctor next to him, the commander nodded his head, finishing the conversation he had been having with the other man, allowing him to leave and go on with his job. "Cadet Tate, you are closely involved in this case but if we look at things that way I would not have a b-squad right now. Being one ranger down leaves you vulnerable to Grumm's or anyone's attack, now more than ever you need to support each other" Starting to walk down one of the long hallways, Sky followed next to his commanding officer, listening intently for the permission he was seeking. "I have put a lot of thought into this, you have my permission to take on the task of bringing Jaxalor in but you will not do it alone and you do it by the book"
"Yes Sir" Sky was going to bring this guy in no matter what it took.
Watching as the cadet and ranger walked away, the large dog called back to his blue ranger. "Don't make me regret my choice Tate" Watching as the ranger headed toward the control room, his eyes spotted the green and yellow rangers coming up from a visit down the infirmary, the two stopping and looking towards him as they watched Sky heading off with a quicker stance then he would normally had, this gave the two rangers the knowledge that something was about to happen. "I'd suggest that you follow him and inform Jack that it's time to bring Jaxalor in"
Exchanging worried looked Bridge and Z knew that this wasn't going to be ease, but being a ranger nothing ever was.
Walking into the underbelly of New Tech City, Jaxalor found himself at a place he had not been in a long time; what met his eyes surprised him even more. It was a little hard when you were 12 ft tall and orange to just blend in but here he knew he somewhat could, providing he kept his cloak on and his head down.
Stumbling out from the caravan/ kitchen, Piggy seemed a little displeased that someone had come to his little abode but that was what he was there for, "What can I get you, please, please sit down" Ushering the cloaked figure into one of the seats Piggy noticed the long orange fingers that where scaled as they rested on the table. "Jaxalor! I haven't seen you in years, I see you finally got out of the joint" Shivering as he thought of how he if was ever put away he would be forced to be clean. His mind was soon stopped as the sound of something being placed on a table, his eyes immediately found the item concealed within a fabric bag, the only way Jaxalor could hold it without having that feeling that someone was taking over his mind.
Little did he know the feeling was real. He couldn't remember anything after Broodwing had given him the device to when the power of the crystal had been drained for a few hours from use and he had seen the Power Rangers crowded around their friend and the medics coming to her aid.
"Mhm, whats that you got there, a new device, something to pay with" His fingers felt sticky as he inched closer to the bag only to see the glow of the crystal become brighter. Taking his hand back Piggy turned to getting the monster something to drink, his best gutter water.
Taking the crystal and the C.D.D out of the bag but not touching it Jaxalor watched as no one else seemed to be fussed that he was doing this in the area, most criminals knew of the Slumbhyx crystal but did not know that they still existed, most believed that S.P.D had destroyed them a long time ago. But at Piggy's place you did not question what someone else was doing as there was a chance you were doing something just as bad as them. Looking at the crystal with inventive eyes Jaxalor knew that he would have to get rid of the evidence that would lead to his demise even if he didn't know why he had been using it in the first place, just because you were a criminal didn't mean that you could trust another criminal, you stood alone in this game. Looking at the chipped cup of water was placed down in front of him, Jaxalor suddenly made a jump as someone from down the alley way called out "It's S.P.D!" Seeing everyone flee from the sight Jaxalor sent the Slumbhyx crystal and the device rolling under Piggy's van, glad to be rid of the item the scaled alien dispersed scarcely along with the other customers, all scattering in their own directions.
Having been sent on this job as a team the remaining four rangers walked smoothly from the alley way and into the clearer area. "You guys are putting me out of business!" Whining as he picked up the table Jaxalor had been sitting at Piggy picked up on the fact that there was only four of them and no pink in sight. "What's with all the faces, I haven't done anything I swear" Holding up his hands to so that he was 'clean' Piggy snorted as he looked between his 'guests'. "What's wrong, where the little S.P.D Princess? Did she chip her nails?"
Piggy's comment hit a sore not on all of them as they were no in the mood of joking about what had happen to Syd, this was serious business. "That's enough Piggy" This time it was Jack that had snapped first, although Sky had not been far behind him, slowly edging forward just waiting. "We're looking for someone and no playing us around alright!"
Listening to the tone in the red ranger's voice, the stern look of anger on the blue ranger and the stance of the green and yellow rangers, Piggy knew that this was no time for joking around, he if felt them bent information he would be in a lot more trouble than it was worth. But then again if he ratted someone out to S.P.D then he would lose business. "Well, I'll see what I can do" Gesturing for the rangers to take a seat, he then saw that all the chairs had been turned over when the patrons had rushed away. Laughing nervously as he took his hands down from the gesture rubbing them together he soon silenced himself as he watched the rangers stand around looking at the mess before bringing their attention back to him. "Who are you looking? You never know I might have seen them around" Trying not to sound nervous in front of the rangers, Piggy shrugged his shoulders at the mess around him before ignoring it.
Watching the two of the three male rangers start to lose their cool at Piggy's attitude Z stepped forward, holding her hand out to hold Jack and Sky back from getting a hold of Piggy, she looked back at them for just a second before returning to Piggy. "This really is serious, we're looking Jaxalor, usually a small time criminal but this time not so small" Holding up one of the mug shots that had been taken awhile back Z watched Piggy's facial expressions with care, she was a little twitch but nothing that seemed out of the ordinary.
"Jaxalor? Ahh I knew him years ago, as far as I knew he was still in prison. What did he do?" Asking with interest as he wanted to know what had gotten the rangers all riled up.
Sky had just about had enough of Piggy's dancing and changing the subject from him to Jaxalor, "Alright, enough Piggy!" Barking out his words Sky stepped forwards past Z's hand and levelled himself with her. "Have you seen him? Yes or No?" Lowering his voice a little the blue ranger looked down at the now slightly frightened Piggy who had never seen the blue ranger like this before, something really was wrong.
Stepping back a little, Sky controlled him from grabbing the man by the collar and shaking the answer out of him. Waiting for his answer Sky knew that if they were going to get anything done he would have to keep a lid on his anger and try not to let his emotions get the better of him.
Rattle a little as he had never seen the rangers behaving like this Piggy rubbed his hands together for a second before he looked up at the blue ranger. "No, I haven't seen him" Remembering the time that Grumm had asked him to choose a side, his or S.P.D, Piggy watched as the rangers stepped back, seemingly taking his lie as the truth.
"Piggy, if you do see this guy here and anywhere you tell us" Pointing his finger, Jack was a little sceptical but agreed to accept that the truth had been told. Placing his hand against Sky's shoulder, Jack gently patted his hand as he turned to start to walk away to continue looking though out the city.
Waiting until the rangers had left, Piggy looked around at all the up turned tables and chairs groaning at all the work that he would have to do to get his place ready for his customers for later on he got down onto his knees and picked up one of the metal cups from the ground and 'cleaned' it with one of the dirty rags he kept in his back pocket. "Look at the, one of my best cups too" Turning his head slightly something catch his attention from just under the wheel of the caravan, crawling over and reaching his hand under the wheel and leaning in for a closer look, the aliens face was lit up with the neon glow of the green Slumbhyx crystal, seeing it and the C.D.D, Piggy covered his hand with the rag before gingerly picking it up and crawling back out into the open light he studied it for a moment. "A Slumbhyx Crystal, very rare, I thought they were all gone" Speaking only to himself as he then looked around, double checking that he really was alone, Piggy then covered the item in his rag and shut the door to the van as he went inside. "I wonder whats got the rangers so fired up? And where IS that pink princess?" Putting the rag down onto the table Piggy wondered if he really had made the right choice in choosing the troobian empire?
