For days now all Sky had wanted was for Syd to open her eyes so he could finally get how he felt off his chest and now that baby blue eyes had opened and were looking up towards him, Sky felt like no words were able to come from his mouth. Tugging slightly against the ends of his uniform jacket, the blue rangers shifted against the chair he sat in, trying to figure out how the hell he was going to tell Syd that he was in love with her.

Picking up on the blue rangers actions, Syd reached her hand up from its place against her side and brought her hand up to find Sky's, smaller fingers wrapping around larger ones as she ever so gently slid her thumb against the back of Sky's hand as she found the courage to look up at the man who clearly was fighting for his words. "I heard what you said to me, at first I didn't know what I was hearing, but you're voice always rung loud and clear" The pink ranger spoke softly as she move her eyes down to their interlocked hands, fingers seeming to fit together so perfectly that it even made her wonder if someone could be made for someone else.

Sky seemed at little flustered by the fact that Syd had heard all that he had said to her, how was he meant to tell her when she seemed to already know everything that he had shared with her sleeping state. The normally collected and professional ranger used his free hand to lightly scratch the back of his head, nervousness had well and truly set in. "Syd, I…Um…what I said to you" Taking a deep breath and clearing his throat before he was able to find his voice again, "I meant it" Lifting his head his eyes followed from their hands up to her stunning blue eyes that he had been so longing to see. Leaning himself forward slightly in his chair Sky let the ghost of a smile from on the outer edges of his lips as he felt Sydney's hand grip tighter against his and a smile formed of her lips.

"Sky in all the years I've known you, you have not once lied to me and I didn't think you would start now" Syd's voice started off a little horse but soon became clear and normal as she spoke, her words holding truth and emotion. "I could hear everyone's voices, but yours with the one that was always the clearest, the voice I wanted to hear the most" It took a lot of energy to move herself but she had managed to sit herself up and keep herself that way.

Reaching his other hand out hand hovering it behind Syd's back just encase she suddenly fell back or she wasn't able to keep herself like this, like always Sky was watching out for his pink ranger. "You should be laying back down" As much as he tried to make his voice sound like a warning Sky just couldn't help but make his voice sound soft, the same soft tone that he had been speaking to her with while she was 'sleeping'.

"Not until after I've done this" Her voice was just above a whisper as she gently lent her forehead against Sky's, only a very heart beats managed to pass by before Sydney did the one action that she knew would change everything between them. Kiss the blue ranger. Gently pressing her lips against Sky's, gentle and sweet and one that she would keep in her memories for ever. Feeling that she was strong enough to hold herself up, Syd hovered her hand just millimetres from Sky's cheek, able to feel the heat from his skin as she brought up the courage to make contact with his jaw with her palm.

The kiss had taken him a little by surprise but then again it was something that he had sensed had been coming. Now that it was happening, Sky felt a rush of adrenalin, the same rush he felt when he was in battle, something that felt right. Returning the kiss in just the same way that it was being given, Sky placed the hovering hand against Syd's back before he felt the kiss slowing and ending. Breaking apart slowly, Sky gently opened the eyes that he didn't even know that he closed; his hand linked around her fingers had moved slightly, her hand now nested against his palm.

With the kiss now ended, Sydney had a bright smile on her lips, a smile that she only ever used when she was truly happy. Trailing her fingers upwards she let the soft pads of her fingertips gently skim over the blue rangers cheek as she watched him smile back at her, the smile she had waited years to see again and now that she had seen it again would do anything to keep there.

"You did what you had to do, now Syd will you PLEASE lay down" Laughing slightly as she was told off once again the blonde haired woman laid herself back against the pillows and pulled her pink blanket up around her torso a little more.

"I kiss you and you tell me that I need rest? I just spent 5 days sleeping, the last thing I want to do is rest Sky, what about the team? What happened while I was asleep? And don't tell me nothing because I know that something went on" Sighing as she looked at the interlocked hands Syd remembered hearing something about Jack being slammed up against a wall. "And I don't mean on the battlefield"

The conversation was going to be brought up at some time and now that it had started Sky knew he was going to have to come clean and face the anger-but thankfully the sound of the infirmary doors sliding open gave the ranger a chance to think carefully about it words as Dr Kat Manx entered the small room.

"How are you feeling Sydney? You gave us all one hell of a fright and before you ask, yes you can go back to active ranger status BUT you need to take a week to make sure that you are well enough to take on the position. Even though we have awoken you from the slumber, we don't know if there is any side effects that could come with it, right now your levels are normal and we want them to stay that way. You will remain here overnight for observation and if given the all clear you can go back to the rangers quarters tomorrow but it's important that note down any changes that you feel and unusual for yourself and report them to myself or Dr Felix" Laying down the 'law' as such Kat smiled as she finished her words as her keen eyes spotted the slight blush that tinted the pink rangers cheeks, she knew something had finally happened between the blue and pink ranger but for now she wasn't going to pry. She would get the details later.

"I understand, honestly I feel alright though, a little sore from not moving but other than that I feel fine" There was the old spark in her eye once again, the brightness of her teeth as she smiled and the all over energy that she radiated whenever she was in a room. It was good to have Sydney back.

While Kat had been explaining things to Sydney, Sky had been wondering how his pink ranger would react to the fact that he had acted out of pure emotion and not rational thinking in which he was known for, being impulsive was a thing of the past, back to the days of Dru and that was backfired on him dangerously, he couldn't help but wonder if this would blow up in his face. As much as he had been in his own thoughts he could still take in when Kat had been saying. "I-We'll make sure that she's alright and get her to report if anything changes" Sky didn't want to take away Sydney's free will in taking care of herself, she was not a child and she had always taken good care of herself in the past so there was no need for himself or the rest of the team to mother her and watch her like a hawk. Sydney was still an independent woman, an independent woman who had kissed him. The last past made him slight smile as his eyes darked quickly towards Sydney before back to Kat.

"The others will be back soon, I'm sure by now that Boom has told everyone at the base that you have awoken" Kat shook her head slight, a laugh leaving her lips as she walked out of the room, allowing the doors to close behind her.

"Syd, about what happened, while you were sleeping, Jack and I, had a few…altercations. I let my feelings control my actions without second though, I don't normally do that, I acted irrationally. We don't always see eye to eye on things but this time he crossed a line with me and I snapped" Lowering his head slightly Sky felt ashamed as a ranger was not meant to act this way, he had let anger cloud judgment but in his eyes he had good reason to.

"Because he questioned your mentality?" Remembering Z telling her about what had happened on the day, Syd could now see both sides of the argument and she had been a little surprised that Jack had done this instead of talking to Sky about it. Syd knew that Sky had learnt his lesson from merloc when it came to feelings and mentality as a ranger and for Jack to bring it up just stirred the pot even more.

He was a little taken back that she already knew about what had been done, for a second he was a little taken back that she had asked the question on calmly. Feeling her fingers still linked with his Sky simply nodded his head as he brought his gaze upon her again.

"Being part of a team means looking out for the other members of that team, talking to them and understanding them, Sky I know you are a great ranger, one of the best, for once you let your heart display itself to your team and Jack went running to Commander Cruger, it just shows that we still had a lot of work to do to try and understand each one of us. Jack is my friend but what he did crossed the line and I agree that it was wrong to do so. But you are much more then my friend and don't agree with attacking a feeling ranger but I would have done the same thing. We don't have to deal with it right now Sky" Syd, the heart of the team, she seemed to see reason, sometimes even more so the Bridge could, even if he did take the long way around to get the point.

Her words so often pushed past the stereo type that she was given by those around her, she saw things in people that others missed and that was one thing that had drawn him to her in the first place. Even he had to admit that he had but her in the 'blonde' category when he had first seen her but that had quickly been changed once he listened to her.

Leaning forward and rising up onto her feet, Sky lent down and pressed his lips softly against Sydney's, this being their second kiss but just as good as the first in his mind. Feeling the soft lips of the pink ranger turn upwards into a smile as she allowed him to kiss her so freely Sky knew that this was something that he could easily get use to in life and now that he had it, he wouldn't let it go without a fight.

Being lost in the moment the two rangers failed to hear as the sliding doors to the room opened to revile the remaining three rangers of the team, wide eyed and jaws opened as they watched their friends kiss. The woman had just woken up and the blue ranger had already started to kiss her? It made the others wondered just what they had missed in the 15 minutes the two had been left alone. "Are Syd, you do know that you have a blue ranger on your lips?"

"I think she knows Bridge" Leaning back slightly as she spoke to her green assigned ranger, Z folded her arms over her chest as she watched the blue and pink ranger part. Sky clearing his throat and pulling the jacket of his uniform down so it was neat and right again, the blue ranger turned his head away slightly trying to hide the tint on his cheeks that came from being caught.

Laughing slightly as she watched her new boyfriend react to their friends walking in mid kiss, Syd lent her head back against the pillow and resting her hands on her pink fuzzy blanket that was over the top of her sheets, giggling to herself and taking a small part of her lip between her teeth had a feeling that the yellow ranger would have a few things to say upon finding them like this.
