Disclaimer: Do I really need to clarify? I do not own, nor will I ever own (that would be epic though) anything from the Riordanverse or Hamilton

A/N: Hey everybody! :) I got some great ideas for the title, so the poll has officially been opened! It will stay open until next Saturday, where I will release the new title. Thanks everybody so, so much for the great ideas! Also I had literally no idea what to do for Percy's POV, so I apologize in advance if it's really boring and/or short. Hamilton lyric: "Death doesn't discriminate between the sinners and the saints, it takes, and it takes," -Wait For It

Percy POV:

Percy was awoken late the next morning by his phone ringing.

"Mom? Hi!" He greeted her when he picked up the phone.

"Hi, Percy! How was it? I saw you perform on TV!"

"It was absolutely amazing!" Percy exclaimed.

"I'm so proud of you!" Sally said, giving him a big smile.

"Mom, it wasn't that big a de-"

"Yes, it was! You were amazing!" Sally insisted.

"I wasn't that good."

"My god, Percy, just take the compliment!" Sally said, rolling her eyes.

"No, it's true! Besides, Annabeth was better," Percy pointed out.

"Oh? Annabeth? Who's she?" Sally commented, her interest piqued.

"Annabeth's just the girl playing Eliza Hamilton. She's, like, a really good singer. Kind of annoying though."

"Is she nice? What does she look like?" Sally questioned inquisitively.

"Stop fishing, Mom," Percy said, laughing.

"But is she nice?" Sally asked persistently.

Percy smiled. "Kind of,"

"So you head back early tomorrow morning, right?" Sally asked.

"Yep. 6:30 A.M flight, so that's gonna be real fun."

They talked for a little while longer, until Percy started to get hungry.

"Hey Mom, I actually haven't had breakfast so…"

"Go ahead. I'll see you tomorrow!" Sally said.

As Percy got dressed and headed to the bottom floor of the hotel, Percy decided that, no matter how big he got, how much money had made, or where he was, he would never forget his mom, and everything amazing that she had done for him.

Percy went to a room where they were serving food, and grabbed a croissant, a bagel, and two pieces of toast, along with a couple of those little plastic containers that they keep butter and jam in. He piled it all onto his plate, and then, once he had finished toasting his bread and bagel, sat down at one of the chairs in the room adjacent to it

Grover came by, his plate filled with yogurt, toast, and some fruit.

"Oh, hey, Perce. Can I come sit with you?" Grover asked.

"Sure," Percy agreed.

"Don't you ever eat anything remotely healthy?" Grover asked.

"Don't lie. You know you're going to eat, like, three bags of those weird Italian chips Leo likes."

"Do not underestimate the power of the Fonzies, Percy."

"Anyway, where were you this morning? I woke up pretty late, and you weren't there," Percy questioned.

"Hmm?" Grover looked up from where he was buttering his toast, "Oh, I went on a walk with Juniper. She wanted to go on a morning walk at the park nearby. It was pretty cool. It wasn't even that early; you just slept late."

"To quote you earlier, do not underestimate the power of sleep. Just you wait (A/N Reference not intended)."

"Yeah, yeah, yeah," Grover sighed.

They talked and ate until the toast had long been reduced to crumbs, and the sesame seeds on Percy's bagel littered his plate.

"Anyway, we should get going. You wanna hang out later or something? I don't have anything planned," Grover invited.

"Oh yeah, sure," Percy agreed.

And with that, the two friends cleared off their table, threw away their trash, and went on their way. (A/N When you think it's a good idea to write 500 words about breakfast XD)

Annabeth POV:

Piper dragged Annabeth to yet another clothing store.

"Piper! Come on, I can just wear the dress I wore yesterday!" Annabeth complained.

"No, you can not! Besides, this is the last one," Piper said.

"You said that three stores ago!" Annabeth said grumpily. She didn't understand why all this was necessary.

"Annabeth, this is really the last one, I promi-Oh, this is pretty! Here, try this one on!" Piper commanded, thrusting her into a changing room and tossing her a forest green dress. After much maneuvering, Annabeth finally untwisted the tangled up straps at the top, and tried it on. She looked at herself in the mirror. She didn't look half bad, Annabeth supposed. She wasn't the fashion expert; that was more on Piper.

Annabeth walked out of the changing room, giving Piper a little curtsy.

"Hmm…" Piper said as she studied the dress, "Cute but I'm not really sure if that's really your style... what do you think? Do you like it? "

"I think I look pretty good in it… but I dunno. I guess maybe not?"

"Okay, okay, moving on."

This time, Piper gave her a long, flowing baby blue dress. Annabeth liked it, but she also thought it seemed a little over the top. However, she tried it on anyway.

"Nah," Piper said as soon as she exited the changing stall, "I mean, you look great, but also maybe a tad much for a first date. You don't even know where you're going. He could be, like, taking you rock climbing. We need to find something where you could either go out to a candlelit dinner with or climb a mountain, and still look cute."

"Sure," Annabeth agreed, and changed back into her regular clothes so they could hunt for more dresses.

The same thing happened the next four times they tried on dresses. ("Hot pink? No way." "Nah," "Nope," "Next.) Annabeth was about ready to quit.

"We've tried on seventeen dress, Piper, seventeen. I can just wear the gray dress and call it a day," Annabeth sighed.

"Just one more? Please?" Piper requested.

"Just one more," Annabeth echoed.

Finally, Piper handed her a beautiful lilac chiffon dress. It was knee length with soft, delicate chiffon straps as well. (A/N: I really wish I could put in a picture. If there's a way to do this, let me know and I'll add it in at the bottom. If you really want to know what it looks like, just search up "lilac chiffon dress," and it's one of the only knee length dresses that comes up.) As soon as Annabeth put it on, she smiled, feeling like she was floating. Annabeth instinctively straightened her posture, and put on a smile just as she came out of the stall. While Annabeth didn't know about the climb a mountain thing, this dress felt absolutely amazing.

"Annabeth! That looks perfect!" Piper exclaimed happily.

"I know, right? I love it!" Annabeth agreed, smiling.

On the way back to the hotel, Piper and Annabeth began to fine tune a couple of the details.

"So, he's picking you up at seven, right?" Piper asked.

"Mhhm," Annabeth confirmed.

"So, let's eat something at like 6:15 so you don't starve in case the food is terrible, and then we should have roughly forty five minutes to get you all ready. Sounds like a plan?" Piper asked.

"Sounds great," Annabeth confirmed.

"What do you want to do for your hair and make up?" Piper questioned.

"Maybe like a half up half down kind of thing? As for make up… I dunno, I guess we should go pretty light on it. Natural," Annabeth suggested.

"I could make that work," Piper said.

They arrived at the hotel, and put the dress in the closet. Annabeth tried to listen to Piper's endless stream of chatter to distract herself from the butterflies fluttering around in circles.

Before Annabeth knew it, it was 6:15 and Piper had made her a PB&J, which Annabeth didn't have the heart to turn down because while Piper was an absolutely terrible cook, she looked so hopeful and excited for Annabeth that it would be practically evil to turn down the sticky mess of peanut butter and jelly that Piper passed for a sandwich.

After that had been eaten, and Annabeth had wiped off the peanut butter from the corners of her mouth, she changed into the lilac dress.

She exited the bedroom and entered the bathroom, where Piper stood at the ready with a hair brush, three elastics, and a whole pack of bobby pins. Annabeth didn't even know what they were for; they were literally just making a half up half down. After much brushing, pulling, tugging, and tying, Piper finally let Annabeth turn around and see the finished product.

Annabeth, in her opinion, looked amazing. Her hair had been put up into a half up half down, except at the back it was twisted up into a knot, and even though there were about fifteen bobby pins stabbing her in the back of her head, Annabeth kind of loves it.

"So? You like?" Piper asked.

"Yeah," Annabeth said, smiling, "Thank you."

"Hold your horses, Annie," -Annabeth scowled- "I'm not done yet," Piper responded.

Piper did her make up, putting on a layer of pinkish reddish lipstick, some concealer, blush, eyeliner, and then she managed to dab some sparkles on to Annabeth's cheekbones before she had a chance to argue.

Finally, once she was all ready, Annabeth stood up and did a little twirl in front of the mirror, watching the way the dress fanned out as she spun.

Piper clapped. "You look amazing, Annabeth. Now, come on, it's almost 7:15, so it's time to head into our little living room combination bedroom thingy."

Annabeth slipped on her Converse, and then waited on the couch, anxiously checking her watch every five seconds. It was 7:10, then 7:12, 7:14, and then finally, finally, 7:15.

There was a knock at the door.

Annabeth quickly scampered forward to open the door. Luke was standing behind it, wearing a white button down shirt, and jeans.

"Hi," Annabeth greeted, suddenly shy.

"Hey, Annabeth. Are you ready to go?" Luke asked.

"Yeah," Annabeth walked out the door, waving goodbye to Piper as she closed the door.

Luke put his arm around her shoulders, steering her towards his car. Annabeth gritted her teeth a little, but said nothing.

Luke opened the car door for her, and then climbed inside himself.

As they began to drive, Annabeth tried to break the ice.

"So, Luke. Where are you from? Were you born in New York, or-"

"I was born in Connecticut. In Westport."

The rest of the drive continued like that. Annabeth asked questions, and Luke gave brief responses, without asking her the same questions in response. Finally, they entered (more like Luke, yet again, steered her in) the restaurant -which Annabeth noted was the Olive Tree, the same one she, Piper, Percy, and all the others had gone to a couple days ago.

As Luke and Annabeth said down, Luke sighed.

"Sorry if I've seemed a little standoffish. I was a little annoyed, as I was in a bit of a rush. I only broke up with my girlfriend a little over a week ago," Luke explained.

Annabeth smiled and nodded, pretending that this was all new information to her.

"That's alright," She said.

"Did you know that I graduated class valedictorian in high school?" Luke asked.

"I did not," Annabeth answered. And this is relevant how? I did too, but that was literally six years ago. Well, probably more like eight for him, Annabeth thought.

The rest of the dinner continued much like that. Luke only talked about himself. Annabeth smiled and nodded, trying to ignore the sinking feeling inside her. This was never going to work out.

The last straw came when the dinner was finally, finally over, and they were about to leave.

Luke handed her her jacket, and then began to, for the third freaking time, steer her towards his car.

"I can walk by myself, thanks," Annabeth responded icily, pushing his arm off of her.

Luke looked confused. "Uh, sorry?"

Annabeth just began to walk faster away from him. He didn't even understand what he was doing wrong!

Annabeth climbed inside her car, and sat in silence for the rest of the drive. When they finally arrived, she left the car and walked back into the hotel without looking back.
