Ch 14
A/N: Holy crap, how long has it been!? I am so sorry you guys! It has been a weird year (or two? Seriously how long has it been since I posted a chapter!?). Either way I am sorry guys and here are a two for one on chapters.
Dimitri watched from the monitors as his newest little pawns scrambled from room to room trying to avoid the dropping temperature. He chuckled to himself seeing the desperation and panic growing more and more obvious on everyone's faces.
"Such a shame they'll all be frozen soon enough- they actually were pretty fun to toy with" he muttered to himself, "Might as well give them a chance before dying". Dimitri fiddled with a few buttons opening up a few more of the rooms. He watched carefully as the Possible-Go-Stoppable group took the very chance to run out of the room the minute there was a way out. He turned his attention to the married couple as they were much more cautious about the new turn of events.
…...
"This looks fishy" Drakken spoke up, "Why would anyone give their captors a fighting chance to escape? This Dimitri is very underhanded indeed... I must say giving false hope is a bit respectable in my book"
"Don't start a fan club for the jerk just yet. We got to find the others and get the hell out of here" Shego reminded as they moved from room to room, "Gah, it's a god damn maze! We've been going n circles!"
Drakken looked around, "How in the world could you even tell? Every single room looks exactly the same!?". He sighed, "Either way we're lost; with reinforced walls, completely similar rooms and corridors, the dropping temperature, and the fact we could all drop from hypothermia at any second, we are in the very definition of a no win situation.
"Yeah, yeah, save it for when we kick ass and make that guy pay" she chatted.
There were the sounds of slow footsteps coming towards them. Shego shushed Drakken as they hid off to the side. Whoever it was came closer and closer, Shego sprung ready to attack just as a green blast raced past her head. In front of them were the people they were looking for, only barely standing in the cold.
"Where'd you come from?" Drakken asked
"Been stuck blasting from room to room" Letta responded, "Any way out? We're barely keeping digits here"
"No, we haven't gotten close to- What the-? Hey sidekick you were supposed to stay in the hovercar!" Shego yelled finally noticing Ron
"Yeah, no. When you're known as the 'sidekick' you can get just about anywhere and no one would ecpect you to actually, you know help" he retorted, "Besides I found them, so we seriously need to find a way out before we're peoplesicles"
"But how?" Letta questioned, "I have yet to see a window or vent or even a chip in the floor! We're stuck in a giant maze!"
"Wait, we are in a giant maze" Tim spoke, "Which means there are only two exits right? Okay so if you guys came from that way, and we came from over here... let's try going left down this hall." He pointed down a dark hallway, "And Shego and Letta can blast the ones that end in a wall so we know not to go down that way again. We might be able to get out of this if we try that"
They all stood quiet trying to understand Tim's plan. He sighed, "If you guys have any better idea's let's hear them"
"We got nothing" Ron admitted, "So... blast and run?"
…...
Kim was typing out some forms for the Tactical weapons section of Global Justice, she looked at her kimmunicator for the eighth time. She went back to her computer but still wasn't completely focused on the content, she hoped that Ron would of called back by now and let her know how his solo mission with Drakken and Shego went. It didn't help her that one of her brothers was also in the line of fire in this mess. She looked at the device again debating whether or not to just call him, but she knew better than that- it rarely ever fares when on a dangerous mission.
She eventually got the forms finished and emailed them off to Tactical Weapons and begun on yet another list of current villains at large, "Huh, Killigan moved up to fourth most wanted" she muttered to herself as she went.
A bottle of water was sat on her desk. Kim looked up seeing a petite platinum blonde lady smiling at her. "Oh Elisa, I didn't even hear you come up" Kim said as she reached for the water.
"Sorry if I scared you, but you looked kinda distracted" she replied apologetically
"No big, and I'm a lot distracted. I was hoping Ron would of called by now. I can't help but worry" she explained
Elisa nodded as Kim talked, "Right, he's on a secret mission at the moment?" she asked. Kim nodded somberly, Elisa continued, "But you trust him to be alright without you, right? I mean no matter what he has a reason to come back. It stinks being on the bench when a mission happens, I know all too well, but you gotta trust your team can make it without you and even if things do go bad you're only a phone call away. I think he's alright and he's trying to finish quick so he can tell you all about it"
Kim gave a small smile, "Yeah, you're right Elisa. Thanks for hearing me out"
"Anytime" she smiled
"But I have to ask, what happened to you that had you benched" Kim asked
Elisa blushed then chuckled awkwardly, "We-well it was a slip and fall accident on one of my missions that kinda ended hilariously"
She leaned forward, "Oh I have to hear this one"
…...
"I c-can't feel my l-le-legs anymore" Ron stammered as they trudged through the maze.
Tim had been right about it being a large maze, but they were far from getting out. The temperature dropped to the point there was ice forming on the walls and floors. It was slippery to walk around and everyone was getting tired.
"Another dead end" Drakken sighed. Shego burned an 'x' on the wall and they moved on.
"This sucks" Letta groaned, "We seem so close then nothing"
"We gotta keep trying" Tim said, "If we stop we might really die here. There has to be a way out... there just has to"
Dimitri smirked watching them go through the halls. He leaned back and stretched, "Well, well, someone is actually smart in the group. Too bad I won't let them out so easily. Run run run you little mice. You'll never find your way out alive"
